Nodding to the Hufflepuff Prefect, "Hey Ced," then turning to Destiny, "Destiny!" he added grinning.

Obviously that question wasnt related to the school-- they were both going to it everyday. He was more curious about a certain red-head Durmstranger that they aparently are both familiar with.

Well he obviously got Destiny's odd sense of humor. "Oh, okay. I just didn't want you thinking I had rude friends." Not that they couldn't all be rude sometimes... well a lot of the times. She just didn't want them to be now.
"Thanks. I still haven't figured everything out but I'm working on it." Truth was she hadn't figured anything out yet but she wasn't going to say that right now. "So you wanna go sit with us over there when we go? You're more than welcome to hang out with us." Yep, he was her friend, he knew her other friends and he was a Prefect, so yeah, he could hang out with her whenever he wanted to.

Apparently Destiny had forgotten to mention to Marie that she already knew Cedric. Not that their last encounter had been pleasant. Telling her he had his wallet stolen and then he told her she had tapeworms! Memories she did not want to relive. "Yup, we know each other." And that was all she was getting. But, it seemed Destiny was getting something. A nice elbow jab.
If she wasn't in the presence of the Hogwarts Security dude, Mr. Ithink Ikenna Gevrik, someone who could possibly throw her other BFF in Azkaban, she would have definitely dropped to the ground in pure AGONY. Crying and all. But, she didn't want to see her friend in Azkaban, so she settled with a nice long glare in her direction. "I wasn't being rude."
And to prove that, when Cedric spoke again, she turned to his and gave him a smile. "I know your name and I am doing well now that I am tapeworm free."
He was wrong. There was nothing mature about Destiny.

*wave*
Hearing his name from behind, Cedric turned and recognized a familiar face. Uh, Partner Patroclus! "Hey Pat." Upon returning the boy's nod, Cedric turned his head, attending to Salander the Slytherin guy, who had spoken... at long last!
His eyes glazed over as if he was mulling over about how were things for him, but really, he was just trying to come up of a vague yet appropriate answer, of which he suceeded. "Things are going well, great actually," answered Cedric, returning the boy's smile but his was wider. "How about you?" Yeah... conversation starters and all that.
As he waited for the guy's reply, Cedric eventually turned to Marie and Destiny, attending to them more gladly. Guh, too many people to talk to at once. Not that he was complaining. He found it actually cool. Cedric chuckled once more, mostly due to Marie's sheer ostensible warning. He gave Marie an I-know-that-already look, not really minding that Destiny was just around.
And time to get oh, serious. "I do hope you'll figure everything out soon, Marie... or you know, you can just let those err," he fumbled for a word, "those problems figure itself out on its own." Cedric told her, sincerely. Does that make sense? Hopefully so. Hang out with them? Cedric approvingly nodded. He would like that.
He was trying to be serious but with Destiny around, it seemed like being serious was the least that he can do. At the mention of tapeworm, Cedric's face took on a pondering air. Tapeworm? What was that about? As if waiting for the right time, a thought came rushing through his mind. Tapeworm! Destiny! How could he forget? And was she smiling at him? Be your true self, Destiny. He knew how they annoyed and cracked up each other from the past, banters and jokes to and fro. Really, Destiny hadn't changed at all. "I couldn't have been more delighted, Destiny. I'm glad that you finally got rid of your... you know, parasitic pets."
Cedric was quite amazed at how fast the people were beginning to assemble in this small dirty pub. He resented being in crowded places but studying at Hogwarts, he was left with no choice so he at least got used to endure the inconvenience that crowded places were. He relaxed with a little sigh, leaning on the counter. Realizing he was still holding his bottle of butterbeer which was now empty, Cedric, of course, placed it back on the bar... and let his gaze wander about, yet again, on its own accord.
He caught sight of Evelyn once more, who just waved at him? He gets a wave too, huh! Well, that was... expected. He is popular.
Lexi turned in time to just catch the little... thing that was going on with Mia and Ivan. Her eyebrows shot up her forehead and she narrowed her eyes at the boy. "You know what... I have an even better idea. How about I go and you can stay and socialize without trying to be sneaky about it. Does that sound nice?" she said in a heated voice as she turned and promptly walked away from him.
She didn't care what he did anymore. Things hadn't been the same lately anyway. She was always busy and he was always... doing whatever it was he was doing. She would save them both the trouble and leave. And leave she did. She walked right past the group of fellow Hogwartians, without acknowledging a single one of them, and right out the door she went. Problem solved.
Ivan looked at Lexi and he raised an eyebrow at the look on her face. Hearing her words his jaw clenched and he shoved his hands in his pockets. Was she seriously going off on him for waving at Mia? SERIOUSLY?! What in the hell was the matter with her? He didn't deserve this and seeing her walk away from him he crossed his arms across his chest and simply stared at the door.
If she wanted to play that game. Fine. He'd always seen her side on things or at least pretended to but now he wasn't going to even bother. She was out of line. He didn't care if she disliked everyone in this room, that didn't mean he had to. He was not going to go after her...he was not going to go after her.... He had to think that over and over until he could move again without going after her as his feet had wanted to do. Turning away from the door he walked over to Fin and Mia his jaw still clenched. "Hi."
*He shrugged and smiled.*
"Really well. We have a lot in common, like a lot of the same things. I've had enough tea to last me a life time. Went to that footy place. I wouldn't go there again though."
Jake didn't actually want to be here. He had the feeling there were lots and LOTS of people here, and a lot of people made him feel very uncomfortable. Crowds and Jake didn't mix.
Nevertheless, there he was. Dressed in warm muggleclothes, his hair getting even longer already and hanging over the back of his neck and over his ears and touching his eyes. He still wore sunglasses despite the month/season/light outside.
Taking one look at who was inside, Jake shook his head and found an out of the way area; a nice empty booth where he could watch everyone else. He preferred his interactions with staff to be where there was not an abundance of other people around.
... Jake wanted a firewhiskey. NOW.

Preston had never been to Hog's Head before, but he thought there was a first for everything. Once he had seen the flyer in the Hufflepuff common room on the notice board, his curiosity had gotten the better of him, and he couldn't help but see what this gathering was going to be about. If he got bored he could always leave and go back to the school. He still had herbology homework to do.
Sneaking in, hopefully unnoticed for the most part, Preston grabbed a seat at the edge of the room and sat there, surveying the place and the people who had showed up. It seemed like the majority of Hogwarts might be there.
Interesting.

Finn couldn't help but laugh at Mia's reaction. It was very funny, and just the reaction that Finn was looking for. "Be glad your not blind" Finn laughed, as he smiled at her. It would be totally tragic if she couldn't see, because then he wouldn't be able to see the awesomeness that was Finlay Carmicheal.
"Thanks Mia." He did that cute pout of his, pretending that she had insulted him. Although that was totally not true. "I do try my best." Because he was totally cool like that. Although....he did hope he wasn't too goofy, because then he wouldn't like that.
Rolling her eyes at him, Mia bumped him with her shoulder. "Yeah because then I wouldn't get to look at your pretty face, right?" She could read her friend like a book and he no doubt think it a great travesty if someone couldn't see his face.
"Aww there's no need to pout Finn. You may be a goof but I still like you." She giggled because she knew that he would rather look cool than goofy. He was so egotistical and Mia felt the need to bring him down a peg or two at times.

She turned, smiling when she heard someone greeting them but the smile faded very quickly when she took in Ivan's face. "Hey." Mia said quietly, concern etched on her face. Her gaze flicked to the door where she had seen Lexi exit and then return back to Ivan's very angry face. "Are you okay?"
Stupid question because she could plainly see that he was not okay. He looked liked he wanted to punch something. "Can I get you a butterbeer, chocolate frog, punching bag perhaps?" That last one was supposed to be a joke but maybe she should have chosen something different.

Err..
So, Destiny was not at all good with hand gestures like she thought she was. Sure, she knew what a wave was and a few other hand gestures, most of them ones that would cause her grandmother to close her eyes and pray to Merlin that whatever demon possessed her granddaughter would go back to where it came from, but that thing that Evelyn was doing.
She had no idea what that was. Simply waving towards her friend once more, Destiny turned when she FINALLY noticed Patroclus. Standing like.. right behind her.

Perhaps it was that snazzy coat of his or the fact that she couldn't see his Prefect badge that made him unrecognizable. Or maybe she was just too busy staring at Mr. Ithink Ikenna Gevrik and them chocolate frogs. "Hey Patroclus." she waved, despite the fact that they were standing inches apart.
"Are you wearing your Prefect badge?"
And was he going to let her wear it NOW?

Aha!
Good ole' Salander. One could always count on him to get them out of a tight spot. A tight spot meaning a cauldron stuck on their head. If Destiny looked passed the fact that he tried to drown her, rip her head off then push her into a HUGE cauldron, he was an okay person.
But, Destiny could not look passed those things.
"Salander. Drown anyone lately?"

O__O
Tapeworm free? "Um, is there something you're not telling me?" she asked looking at Destiny with a raised eyebrow. Was this one of her cootie moments only with tapeworms?
Crap, she knew Destiny would want chocolate. "Um Destiny, do you think it's wise to eat chocolate right now?"

Marie leaning into Cedric and whispering did not go unnoticed by Destiny. She found herself leaning in ever so slowly to try and catch what they were saying, but she failed. They were probably discussing dinner dates and that was something she did not want to listen in on.
And then they were talking all serious about figuring something out and that could only mean one thing. They didn't know what they were going to order when they went out to dinner. Destiny was tempted to cut in and tell them to have the pie, but she might have become quite distracted with watching Patroclus for a moment. Looking for his Prefect badge, of course. Nothing more.
*Ahem*
When their conversation turned less serious, she turned back around and gave Marie a glare at what was said. Her silly self? "I'm not silly." Nor was she weird, strange and crazy. The people at St. Mungo's clearly diagnosed her wrong.
The look Cedric gave her when she mentioned the tapeworms was quite scary. It looked like he was trying to infest her with them again, since it was his fault she had them in the first place. She should probably warn Marie and not allow her to go on their dinner date. Glancing at Marie, she was tempted to push that eyebrow of hers down. "I'll tell you later."
Or she wouldn't tell her ever. Let Marie deal with those things on her own.
Eyes slightly narrowed at what Cedric said about being glad her 'pets' were gone, she couldn't help but wonder WHY he was glad. Why he going to INFEST her again!? "Have you gotten your parasitic pets taken care of?"
Destiny thought not.

It looked as if Evelyn desperately wanted a chocolate frog, and she was prepared to go to any lengths to get one. Honestly, if Sierra had known her friend wanted a piece of candy that bad, she'd have gotten her one long ago. She'd have even given Evelyn her chocolate frog had she not already taken a large bite out of it.
She followed Evelyn's gaze to the scenario with Gevric and the girls.
Again.. Destiny had no idea what Evelyn was doing. From where she stood, it kinda sorta looked like she was dancing, with the flapping arms and the head shaking, but there was no music playing. Or was there? With so many people mulling around and talking, she was lucky she could hear herself think let alone hear music.
Hopefully no music was playing, though. Destiny and Mia in the same room with music.. not such a good idea.
Glancing towards the little firstie girl, she shrugged her shoulders and shook her own head. Sometimes Destiny wondered why she was best friends with someone as weird as Evelyn.

Isabelle stopped just inside the door of the Hog's Head, and unravelled the scarf from around her neck. Slipping off her coat to reveal her smart skirt suit underneath, she flung it over her arm and scanned the room. Plenty of children, and Mr Gevrik in the corner with...Butterbeer and chocolate? Heh, she'd have to have some of that at some point. But for now she headed for the bar. "Firewhiskey please," she smiled, removing the money from her pocket to pay.

Isobel walked into the Hogs Head and saw the man that she had been seeing around school, she one who had given a speech at the feast. His name was....she didn't know. Yes, it was always necessary to her to state her name, year, and house.
Hearing his name from behind, Cedric turned and recognized a familiar face. Uh, Partner Patroclus! "Hey Pat." Upon returning the boy's nod, Cedric turned his head, attending to Salander the Slytherin guy, who had spoken... at long last.

Grinning in reply to all the hello's, hey's and how're you's, Patroclus found himself rather enjoyin the little shindig the Ministry man had going on.
"Destiny!" He cried, rather exuberantly, "No I am not wearing my Prefect Badge," he sighed softly, then added in a very soft whisper "Don't tell anyone, but I lost it. I woke up this morning and it was on my bedside table, but after I had showered and dressed, it was gone. POOF!" Flaring his fingers to enchance the affect of his sound affect, the boy let his hands fall to his side tucking them into his pockets, his face down cast.
Looking up at the pretty Snake before him, he tried to smile, "But it's Ok." Noticing something, Patroclus stopped, "Destiny, there is something on your shirt," reaching out, he tried to brush it off, "Looks like it's stuck there," he grinned, as the red and gold 'blemish' gleamed for all to see.

Raven walked into hog head, it's Raven first time to visit wizard village, he is amused to the sign bearing a head of look like delicious PIG. and he find the note of the man Ikenna.
He entered the pub, he look at the counter, it's seem he need to order here or else be kick outside if he didn't. time to try the butterbeer --the infamous drink every higher year is talking about this village.
"Hello, sir, a butterbeer, please" He said to the bartender.
the bartender give Raven a trunk full of like dust, eeeweee, Raven took it, even he disgusted on it. and walked toward the table of snobbish looking Ministry official.
"Hello, Mr. Ikenna" Raven greetings, "I'm Revellius Perevell, we meet in Divination class before" Raven add.
"Umm thank you." *Sitting down he took the butterbeer but didn't drink it. He already had to much tea in him.*
"How are you getting on here at Hogwarts sir?"
*Matty had already sort of met the man the first night but wished to know more. He had done a little digging and had not found a whole lot on Ikenna Gevrik. Taking a seat somewhere near the middle of the group.*
"I am...getting along," Gevrik answered honestly enough. "One of the students actually suggested I host a meet-and-greet like this one, and so...here we are...."
He saw more students entering that he needed to speak with and so Ikenna started to move away from Matty. "Enjoy the drink, and some candy, please. It's on me."

Turning to Ivan she held it out and waved it around a bit as if to ask if he wanted a bite. She hoped not... she was pretty hungry.
"Of course, Lexi, I won't be forgetting that." Ikenna watched her take the chocolate frog and resisted the urge to pat her on the head. "Now if only I could convince a few more people of the same..."

Then again perhaps he would not, it was random bits of information. And to be far there were hundreds of students at Hogwwarts School.
"Selina Skylar." Gevrik repeated the name as if it had some significance; then again, perhaps it did not.
His tone was unreadable, but that did not mean he was not knowledgeable.

She involuntarily unwrapped her chocolate frog card as she questioned the man. After swallowing the first bite of it, she added, "Oh, you know my father? How so?" She eyed Alex out of the corner of her eye, thinking now might be a good time for them to press the pause button on the Greingoth War.
She considered asking for a free butterbeer, too. If this man knew her father, then surely he was no one to be feared. Sierra trusted her father wholeheartedly, after all.
"Hmm, Sierra, perhaps you should interpret my words for yourself and make your own meaning out of them. Not everyone who works for Hogwarts doles out answers left and right."
Yes, it was time Alexander Greingoth's daughter learned a life lesson or two in the art of dodging questions. Ikenna chuckled at this thought - he truly meant the Greingoths no harm - and turned a smile toward the girl and her brother.

Wanting to keep up conversation with Gevrik to stay on his good side, he cleared his thought and blushed slightly at his bickering with Sierra before turning to the security man again. "So, erm, you know our father?" he asked. Well wasn't that a surprise. Seemed everyone around here near their dad. It wasn't too important, at least to him--meeting people who knew his highly influential father didn't seem to have any benefit for him at all.
"Yes, I was just telling your sister that." Gevrik nearly chuckled again at the millions of thoughts racing through the boy's mind, from dumping his butterbeer on his sister's head to more worthwhile thoughts such as how to stay on his good side.
"Your father and I have friends in common. Similar beliefs, that sort of...thing."

How have he found Hogwarts? Want the honest answer? "I find it safe and well-secured as is, sir."
"All right, Cedric." Gevrik knew his name was difficult to pronounce, so he offered the wrapped candy to the Prefect with a forgiving smile. "You can call me Mr. Ikenna, if that is better."
He made a soft 'hmm' sound at the boy's answer. "You have never experienced any...unsettling incidents, or unusual professors here?"

"Ha," Gevrik gave Mia's touché a light laugh. "I believe you all are my...test subjects? Perhaps I am seeing if it is not secure because of the patrons or...other reasons."
He was still half-joking. Hufflepuffs seemed to be easy to confuse. Interesting.
"That depends on who you are asking, Miss Gibbins." Gevrik gave the pub a precursory glance before turning back to the girl with a raised eyebrow. "Perhaps you are also wondering if that is my only reason for being at the school?"

Gevrik never missed a beat, and Jared Descoteaux was no exception to his rule. Of course, Ikenna could not see who exactly had entered or sat down, but he could see, with great amusement, that a Ravenclaw student (one of the few) was busy trying to read near (or on?) a tall, mysterious chair.
Hmm. To approach, or not to approach? Gevrik decided he would let it be, for now, but the "empty chair" would still be resting uneasily in the back of Ikenna's mind until he did go investigate it.

"Yes, Lexi, I understand." Ikenna blinked at the tugging on his arm and turned away from the mystery chair to look down at Lexi. "Perhaps now would be a good time to go practice your nonverbals, mm?"

"Yes, so I've heard." Gevrik raised a brow at the Slytherin, surrounded by friends but still too intimated to accept his offers of free food and drink.
...he would come back to her later.

However as Patroclus entered the pub, in his navy coat and turtle neck, he saw that in fact most of them were not randoms but his friends and a few others acquintences. Heading over to the bar first, Patroclus ordered himself a drink, "Just a Butterbeer, thanks" and turned to stare at the group of students
"Hello," Ikenna greeted a newcomer, dressed...oddly for a child, in a coat such as that one, by handing him a butterbeer before the bartender could. "I am Ikenna Gevrik."
Clearly, he was expecting the boy - Prefect, was he? - to offer his name as well. He did look familiar.

Since Evelyn was ALL the way over there and stuff.. "I'll take a chocolate frog!!"
And when she said a chocolate frog, she meant all of them.
"Catch." Gevrik smoothly turned away from the Gryffindor Prefect and launched a wrapped chocolate frog toward the girl, aiming perfectly for her hands.
Should she raise them to protect her face and catch the frog, of course.

The seventeen year old sat down in a seat near the man, watching him then the people around him carefully. She didn't quite know whether she liked this man or not yet, she certainly didn't know him well enough to judge. But the Head Girl had remained quiet since and she thought it best to speak up. "Morning" she spoke, emotionless. There was more than one reason behind that.
"Good afternoon, actually." Gevrik kept himself from sniggering at the Slytherins by directing his attention toward...yet another Snake.
The Head Girl, in fact. Hmm she was being careful, wasn't she. Ikenna returned the emotionless greeting by being nothing short of friendly and welcoming.
"Can I get you something, Miss...Malfoy, is it?"

Ah, and the mystery chair Ravenclaw decided to come directly to him. Excellent.
"Yes, I will have to forgive you, I suppose, since you must have been reading during my speech at the feast." Ikenna smiled down at the boy to show that he had just been joking.

Of course the Minster would be happy to pay for this...party. Marty would take care of that.

Yes, it was time Alexander Greingoth's daughter learned a life lesson or two in the art of dodging questions. Ikenna chuckled at this thought - he truly meant the Greingoths no harm - and turned a smile toward the girl and her brother.
Sierra's very expectant look fell, and she stared up at the man with a rather expressionless look. Huh?! Was she meant to understand what that meant? Well, wait just a blasted minute!
Sierra got some cryptic code for an answer, and Alex got everything handed out on a silver platter and with a silver spoon?! This earned Gevrik another frown from Sierra, but it didn't stop her from asking further questions. "What sorts of beliefs?" she questioned.
...and how come Alex didn't have to come up with his own meanings, hmm?!

"Firewhiskey, Jake?" Ikenna noticed the first Hufflepuff he had ever met approaching the bar, silently as seemed his usual style.
He took the liberty of signalling for a drink and nodded with approval once it arrived in front of the seventh year.

"I am not one of those people, Sierra." He paused and considered her latest question.
To answer, or not to answer. That was part of why he was here, no? To answer questions such as these? He had listened to Jake, Sable, Satine, and Kurumi.
Now Sierra Greingoth was demanding a turn, apparently. Gevrik looked down at the curly-haired child clutching a butterbeer and eyeing him suspiciously.
He leaned a little closer and lowered his voice. It was highly unlikely that anyone could hear them over the roar of the pub but even if they did, Ikenna was not speaking offensively or passionately; rather, he was addressing Sierra in a tone filled with fact, pride, and knowledge.

Josephina couldn't resist the urge to attend the meet and greet for Ikenna Gevrik. Not merely just because of . . . reasons unnamed, but because she simply wanted to also see the how the children react to him. Entering the Hog's Head, she noted there were already a number of students present. Totally typical, but evidently only one other professor had shown up to supervise.
Gevrik was harmless though; quiet, but really, he meant no harm and Josephina was sure the kids would see that soon enough. "Make that another," she said after Magnus asked for her firewhiskey. Actually, she was more of a mead person, but since firewhiskey and butterbeer were the beverages of choice today, she'd go with it.

He looked up from little Sierra Greingoth, gave her a pat on the shoulder and then returned his attention to one of the Prefects here.
"Prefect Patroclus Hudson," he repeated in a ringing tone. "Excellent name, my good man." Gevrik was clearly amused as he gave the teenager's hand a hearty shake.

"Hmm, I am getting there, thank you for asking." He twirled his glass slightly in his hand. "How are your classes, Patroclus? I must admit to wishing I could attend a few..."
But not as a student, of course.

"Ah, Josephina!" Gevrik allowed his attention to be caught by the timely arrival of another professor. "It's on me, of course, both of your ladies' drinks are." He tipped his head toward her respectfully. "How are you, your classes and things?"

Reason: Adding in the last two.
"Test subjects?" Mia lowered her bottle of butterbeer and eyed Mister Gevrik warily and then she looked around the pub for a moment. "As of right now, we the students are the only patrons." She turned back to look at the man. And she doubted that they were going to cause any trouble. He was being very cryptic.
Mia put her bottle down onto the table. "Actually I was. Are you by any chance influencing the Professors on what they are teaching us this term?" She would go no further...yet.

"Have you ever been to Madam Puddi-whatevers?"
*Hearing Gevrik talk to the others in the back of his mind he frowned a little but thanked him all the same for his hospitality.*
"So your here to keep us secure right? Hows that going so far?"
Mia wrinkled her nose at the mention of Puddifoots. "Er...no. I was told it was a special place for couples. And I can't eat and watch people snog at the same time." She grinned at him and raised her eyebrow. "Did you kiss Lea?"
*Matty frowned. He did not like the way this man was talking to him but he still showed the man respect.*
"But sir, you could say that about every magical area. No disrespect but how are you going to protect an entire school? Or are you not alone?"
*Turning to Mia he nodded. He was having a hard time just talking with all the snogging going on around him. At her next question he smirked and made a motion like he was locking up his lips.*

"That is exactly what I was talking about. I get along well with your father, so I foresee no problems with you or your brother. All right?"
Cheer up, Sierra, your father is not a bad man.
...and that one little answer seemed to be all it took for Sierra to be her calm and confident self again. She gave the man a big smile and then nudged his firewhiskey with her butterbeer in return. "Oh, I was never worried about things not being all right," she assured him. "I'm Daddy's Little Girl through and through."
Anna, it seemed, was closer to their mother, while Sierra was closer to their father. Alex? Well, who knew how Alex felt. He was usually the Greingoth kind of out there marching to the beat of his own drum anyway.
Suddenly, she missed her father, and she found herself wishing Christmas break would come just a little sooner than usual.
"All right," she confirmed with a nod. "Thanks, Mr. Gevrik." ...wow. Her opinion on this man had suddenly done a complete one eighty, eh?
