Ivan watched as the man nodded back. At least he was polite. His attention turned to Lexi and he frowned. What was WITH her? "Perhaps," he said tightly and removed his arm from around her propping his elbow on the table and his head on top of his hand.
He didn't miss the small smile she gave him nor the better smile she gave the man either. Turning his head slightly as he saw her waving the frog in front of his face he shook his head. "No, thanks." He stared at the table as his brain went off on its own. He wouldn't deny that he didn't understand her a lot of times but this was almost ridiculous. He hadn't done anything to deserve it. Well not yet anyway.
Perhaps it was her ravishing hunger that had been causing her to be such a poo. Because as soon as she had devoured the entire frog she smiled and nudged Ivan slightly. "Look. I am sorry. I am just a bit... stressed with all of the studying and the nonverbals and all that. Forgive me?" she said with a smile that lit up her eyes just for him.
Turning around and spotting Matthias, Mia gave him a smile. "Sure you can. Where have you been anyway?" Probably locked up in the common room with a book or something.
*Matty gave her an odd look as if she should already know.*
"I had my date with Lea first." *It had been a nice date, they got on well. But Lea had not done her homework yet. He wasn't sure yet if he would ask her out again though. Matty had other things on his mind.*
Under a Disillusionment Charm, Jared slipped into the Hog's Head after a couple of students, and found himself a vacant chair, already drawn up, in a far corner of the place.
Noiselessly sitting down, he opened a book - this, too, invisible - and began to read the minuscule print.
He wasn't hiding per se, even if he had emptied his mind. He just didn't have a reason to be seen or heard - literally or mentally.
He doubted a student might come to this corner, given that most of them had a good reason to be more or less clustered around Gevrik; but in the case that someone did, he'd just get up before they reached the spot, and slip noiselessly past. No harm done.

Lost in his own thoughts he was staring blankly at the table and jumped slightly when he felt Lexi nudge him. Turning he saw her smile. It was her smile not her explanation that made him go weak and he swallowed. What had she been saying again? All he'd heard was the forgive me because his eyes were locked on hers and then to the smile that made her stunning. "For what?" he said with a smile of his own and his hand found hers and he squeezed it. He debated on what to do next his first instinct to ask her if they could leave and go somewhere more private but remembering what she had told him he sighed. Yup he was right this was tough. Maybe they could go to the broomsticks at least it was far less dirty but didn't she say something about something going on here? "Any way we can go somewhere less...filthy," he said looking around with distaste again. Yup that'd work.

Hugo spotted a free chair for him to sit in, sip some butterbeer and read more of Wandlore 101. He came up to the chair, and wanted to shuffle onto it- it was a pretty high chair. Strange- a bit of a breeze. And the chair was warm. Weeird. Hugo took a sip and started to read his book.

Lexi returned the squeeze of the hand and smiled. "For being such a poo. I have been a bit grumpy lately. Shouldn't have taken it out on you," she said as her tummy gave a great rumble.
Looking around she saw Mia looking at Ivan. That didn't make her feel any better about the fact that the girl seemed to pretend as though Lexi didn't exist these days. Funny... she had thought they were actually friends. Seems she was wrong about that. If she stared at Lexi's boyfriend anymore... she might not be mistaken about how Lexi felt for much longer.
Turning her attention back to Ivan she smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah, sure. This place is a bit...crowded. They really will let anyone in here," she said with a snort.
Then turning her attention to Mr. Ikenna she rose from her seat and tugged on the man's sleeve a bit. "Sir. I will come to your office sometime soon. I need to leave here," she said. In her mind she added Before I get angry and set something on fire... or someone. Meh.

Cedric turned to Destiny, whom he hadn't seen in what seemed like forever. "What's up, Destiny?" He sort of missed Destiny. And it felt weird. Missing her, that is.
Marie smiled at Cedric when he greeted her... and Destiny. "You two know each other already?" She asked looking over at her She-Snake friend. Why didn't she know that Destiny already knew the prefect... hmmm?

"Sweet Merlin, Marie! Next time won't you make your presence known?" Because obviously yelling her name did not help.
Opening her mouth to tell her about the BFF stealing firstie poor and cold turtle, she closed it quick when Marie decided to pull her inside. And she continued to pull her right past the reason why she was standing outside. Giving a quick salute to the people standing around, her arm was finally free when they reached the bar and Cedric. Cedric who was asking her what's up? "I'm not really good at guessing games."
Marie laughed at Destiny. "I thought I did make my presence known... when I shouted your name." Really, what more did she want her to do, send an owl ahead alerting her that she was coming up behind her?

Hearing her response to Cedric, Marie jabbed Destiny with her elbow. "Don't be rude Destiny, he's not being rude to you." Geesh, what was with that girl? Maybe if Patroclus showed up then Destiny would get in a better mood.

See Destiny, he just wants to know how you've been. "I've been doing... better since we last talked." Sure, she still hadn't talked to James but she wasn't going to let that ruin her day today. She was surrounded by friends who seemed to care about her.

"Care for a butterbeer or chocolate frog? Help yourself." Gevrik gestured from his spot at the bar to the decorated table piled with beverages and candy.
"Hello Sir. Interesting place you chose for this... meeting." Marie said smiling nervously at the guy. Why would he choose this place to meet students? Why not The Three Broomsticks?
"Um, no thanks." She said at the offer of a butterbeer and chocolate. She wasn't going to eat or drink anything from this place. Not today anyway. She looked over at Destiny who she was sure would run to the chocolate. There would probably be no holding her back from that.

Was she the only one that didn't know about this beforehand!?
Seeing Evelyn wave at them she wave back. Hmm, what's up with her hanging out with Sierra so much lately? Sure, she was a nice kid but still... she was a kid. Why would Evelyn want to hang out with such little kids when she had Marie and Destiny to hang out with. She would have to have a talk with her friend later to see what was going on there.
Looking back over to Cedric she smiled again. "Do you know Evelyn too?" If not then maybe she could introduce them. And if he did, well then he could go over there with them and say hi.

Smiling at her as she squeezed his hand Ivan leaned in and kissed her cheek. "It's okay." He grinned as he heard what sounded like her stomach rumbling though with all the noise it could have been anything. Though the way she wolfed down that chocolate he was sure she was still hungry, "How about I get us some lunch."
He bit back a remark on her own remark. Seriously why did she hate these people? They had been friendly to him for the most part. As she gave her attention to the guy he glanced back at Mia giving her a small smile and wave before getting off his chair and pulling his sleeves down. Food...where did one get food around here? The Broomsticks? He knew they had drinks but did they have food. "Where do you want to eat?" he asked Lexi instead still trying to make sure his jacket was clean as well as his pants.
How could Patroclus not go to the Hog's Head, after reading the poster in the Common Room.......well he hadn't really given it much thought, till he remembered where he had heard the name 'Ikenna Gevrik' before; his brother Prometheus taking about 'changes' at the Ministry. And now with a poster saying 'Changes' again, the LionBoy's interest was perked.
Plus the fact that he had made no Hogsmeade plans at all, give him more of an excuse to head over. Meeting randoms was always fun.
However as Patroclus entered the pub, in his navy coat and turtle neck, he saw that in fact most of them were not randoms but his friends and a few others acquintences. Heading over to the bar first, Patroclus ordered himself a drink, "Just a Butterbeer, thanks" and turned to stare at the group of students

"Err.. yeah. We met sometime ago." which was succeeded by few other meetings. Cedric smiled, reminiscing the past though he didn't intend to. Those meetings had been rather crazy... well, Destiny was crazy. Cedric thought she was crazy (of which he had no doubt of) and well, Destiny seemed to think that he was just as crazy, too. He wondered if things had ever changed between them since the last time he talked with Destiny was really quite some time ago.
Amused, Cedric chuckled as he saw Marie sort of poke Destiny with her arm and told her not to be rude to him. Guess what? Cedric thought what Destiny had told him was so Destiny of her. "Oh, no, it's fine Marie," said he, still chuckling. "Really."
Marie's doing better now? Aww. That was great news! "I'm glad that that is so." And then she asked him with yet another question and he was, of course, obliged to answer. "I met her some time ago as well. I know the little girl she is with, too." Sierra. How could he not know? That little girl was a little dear.

Riiiiight Marie. You simply can not yell at someone who was staring in a window to get their attention. It is a rule! A rule that Destiny just made up, of course. There was no need to reply to that. Destiny Shepard would get her revenge! They did share a common room and dorm. Oh, and Destiny had that very loud horn.
Apparently Destiny had forgotten to mention to Marie that she already knew Cedric. Not that their last encounter had been pleasant. Telling her he had his wallet stolen and then he told her she had tapeworms! Memories she did not want to relive. "Yup, we know each other." And that was all she was getting. But, it seemed Destiny was getting something. A nice elbow jab.
If she wasn't in the presence of the Hogwarts Security dude, Mr. Ithink Ikenna Gevrik, someone who could possibly throw her other BFF in Azkaban, she would have definitely dropped to the ground in pure AGONY. Crying and all. But, she didn't want to see her friend in Azkaban, so she settled with a nice long glare in her direction. "I wasn't being rude."
And to prove that, when Cedric spoke again, she turned to his and gave him a smile. "I know your name and I am doing well now that I am tapeworm free."
He was wrong. There was nothing mature about Destiny.

Turning away from Cedric and Marie, Destiny glanced over at Evelyn to see if that firstie had managed to steal her away just in time to catch her waving. Returning the wave, she glanced between her friend and the girl who was trying to steal her best friend.
Explain, please.
Hand gestures would work fine. Destiny was excellent in those type of things.

She quickly looked away but not before she caught Ivan's eye as he got up to leave and she returned his smile and wave. He seemed like a really nice guy.

Trixie, with no expression on her delicate face, walked straight into to the Hogs Head and headed over to where the Security Liaison person was sat. She didn't exactly have a question for him to answer, instead she would much prefer to sit here and watch the proceedings. The notice on the Slytherin board had caught her attention and the Blonde thought it would be a good idea to familiarise herself with the new staff member, if that was what he was known as.
The seventeen year old sat down in a seat near the man, watching him then the people around him carefully. She didn't quite know whether she liked this man or not yet, she certainly didn't know him well enough to judge. But the Head Girl had remained quiet since and she thought it best to speak up. "Morning" she spoke, emotionless. There was more than one reason behind that.
to lazy to quote... you know who you are though ;)
Lexi turned in time to just catch the little... thing that was going on with Mia and Ivan. Her eyebrows shot up her forehead and she narrowed her eyes at the boy. "You know what... I have an even better idea. How about I go and you can stay and socialize without trying to be sneaky about it. Does that sound nice?" she said in a heated voice as she turned and promptly walked away from him.
She didn't care what he did anymore. Things hadn't been the same lately anyway. She was always busy and he was always... doing whatever it was he was doing. She would save them both the trouble and leave. And leave she did. She walked right past the group of fellow Hogwartians, without acknowledging a single one of them, and right out the door she went. Problem solved.

Hugo got up from his chair as he spotted the security dude. He really didn't understand it. "Excuse me sir," he said politely. "But why are you here, at Hogwarts? I don't think security is much needed here anymore right?" he asked. "Forgive me if this question has been answered before."

The hogs head. Finlay had actually never set foot in here in his life. Never minding the fact that he had only spent one year at hogwarts, so it really wasn't that much bother that he had never been in here, but Finlay had decided that it was about time that he stepped into there. Hence why he was now wandering through the door of the pub, with a bit of a confused look on his face. As he had walked in, Lexi had nearly walked into him, and that could have been awkward. He thought nothing of it, and continued a bit further on into the hogs head, before taking a glance around, seeing who was there. Ahh. Marie, Mia, and then some other people that he didn't know. Awesome. He was totally in for making new friends.
With a grin on his face, he wandered towards them, standing behind Mia. Heh. Helloo best friend. Before he did anything, he put his hands over her eyes. "Guess who..." Finn then laughed. Yup...poor Mia. haha

Hearing the door open Marie looked that way. Aww, it was Patroclus, another one of her Prefect friends. "Hey there stranger," she said when he got over to the bar where Marie was standing with Cedric and Destiny. "I was hoping you were gonna come here today." You know to make Destiny happy and all.

Well he obviously got Destiny's odd sense of humor. "Oh, okay. I just didn't want you thinking I had rude friends." Not that they couldn't all be rude sometimes... well a lot of the times. She just didn't want them to be now.
"Thanks. I still haven't figured everything out but I'm working on it." Truth was she hadn't figured anything out yet but she wasn't going to say that right now. "So you wanna go sit with us over there when we go? You're more than welcome to hang out with us." Yep, he was her friend, he knew her other friends and he was a Prefect, so yeah, he could hang out with her whenever he wanted to.

Tapeworm free? "Um, is there something you're not telling me?" she asked looking at Destiny with a raised eyebrow. Was this one of her cootie moments only with tapeworms?
Crap, she knew Destiny would want chocolate. "Um Destiny, do you think it's wise to eat chocolate right now?"

With a grin on his face, he wandered towards them, standing behind Mia. Heh. Helloo best friend. Before he did anything, he put his hands over her eyes. "Guess who..." Finn then laughed. Yup...poor Mia. haha
Hearing the door yet once again she looked over to see Finlay, another one of her Prefect friends walking in. Watching him walk over to Mia she smiled and waved at him.
Hmm, now all she needed was Evan there and she would have all her Prefects in the same place.

Mia watched as Lexi had words with Ivan and by the looks on her face, they weren't very good words. And then she stomped off. She couldn't help feeling a little perplexed at what was going on.
Before she could think anymore about it, everything went black. "Eeek I'm blind. I'm blind." She laughed as she heard the voice of her best friend and she grabbed hold of his hands and pulled them away from her eyes and turned around to face him. "You are such a goof." She said giving him a smile.

Finn couldn't help but laugh at Mia's reaction. It was very funny, and just the reaction that Finn was looking for. "Be glad your not blind" Finn laughed, as he smiled at her. It would be totally tragic if she couldn't see, because then he wouldn't be able to see the awesomeness that was Finlay Carmicheal.
"Thanks Mia." He did that cute pout of his, pretending that she had insulted him. Although that was totally not true. "I do try my best." Because he was totally cool like that. Although....he did hope he wasn't too goofy, because then he wouldn't like that.

He literally had to bite his tongue to keep the sarcasm down. Thanks SO much for lowering your voice for my benefit, he thought to himself. Wow, his mum was right--he really COULD be snotty when he wanted to. He crossed his arms and just glared at Slytherin girl, not even caring that she was obviously a few years older than him. If he wasn't going to be rude in front of Gevrik, then he'd just stare and freak her out.
Alina was good at it. He could be good at it too.
Well, he certainly wasn't being sneaky with his thoughts now was he?
Staring quite normally back, the Slytherin raised a hand and ran it through her hair once before letting it fall naturally back into place. Hmm, his glaring was quite amusing.
And annoying.
Narrowing her eyes after a few seconds, she let a small smile linger on her lips for a moment before looking elsewhere. Having a staring contest with a Hufflepuff was not on the list of things to do today. In fact, being HERE was not on her list of things to do today.
SPOILER!!: Cedric, Marie, Patroclus, and Destiny

Wandering his gaze about the pub, the Hufflepuff prefect caught sight of Lexi and Ivan. So they really did know each other, huh? Cedric gave them a smile.

Looking back over to Cedric she smiled again. "Do you know Evelyn too?" If not then maybe she could introduce them. And if he did, well then he could go over there with them and say hi.

Explain, please.
Hand gestures would work fine. Destiny was excellent in those type of things.
Having waved over to Marie and Destiny, she did manage to finally notice Cedric there as well. She did see him before, though had gotten distracted with the series of events that seemed to erupt out of nowhere. Yes, he gets a wave too.
*wave*
Smiling at Marie as she waved back, the Slytherin was once again momentarily distracted...by Destiny. Whaaa? What was with the suspicious glances? From her to...Sierra? Pfft, Destiny knew Sierra- OMG! She didn't know Sierra! Raising a hand, she gestured the Slytherin to come over to where she sat. Destiny wasn't at the feast, therefore, didn't know Sierra. That was unacceptable.
And then of course, became distracted once more when a certain perfect prefect walked in and headed towards the ordering station. "Hey lemur boy." she said, not too loud though, but she did smile!

Since Evelyn was ALL the way over there and stuff.. "I'll take a chocolate frog!!"
And when she said a chocolate frog, she meant all of them.
What?
Noooooo!
No no no no no. About to jump out of her seat, the Slytherin winced before turning around from where she sat and WAVED her arms WIDELY AROUND to try and get the security dude's attention.
And then there were a few gestures here and there, a few shakes of her head 'no', and something that may have looked like she was trying to fly but..

Sure sounded like it all the way from the Slytherin table. Then again he really wasnt listening to the whole speech thing, couldnt quite hear him above the noise of an empty stomach.
".... Mister Officer." yeah that sounded safe enough, not to mention familiar-- a pub, a drink and--
--"I'm of age by the way." Salander added quickly, juuuuust in case Mr Security man decides to enforce a few laws. Just then the bartender came up and handed them their drinks. He gave the bartender a quick nod at the Ministry Man's direction-- his party, his tab.

Cedric stepped into the shop's threshold, regarded the entire place almost at once, and there he saw them: Mia, Greingoth Twins, Evelyn, Salander, and Ikenna Gevrik himself. He walked further, heading straight to the counter where Salander was. "Butterbeer, please." Cedric told the bartender. He rested his arm on the counter, and then turned to the Slytherin guy. "Hey Salander."
Before he knew it students started filtering in quickly. Well yeah party's started! As he was shifting around to get a better view of the new crowd the Hufflepuff Prefect suddenly joined him. "Oh... hello... Cedric." the Slytherin lad mustered to smile and raised the firewhiskey mug in toast. "So how are things for you Prefect?" Obviously that question wasnt related to the school-- they were both going to it everyday. He was more curious about a certain red-head Durmstranger that they aparently are both familiar with.
He saw a few more Slytherins enter the pub, with Marie and Destiny coming in and standing beside them too "Ladies...." he greeted them extra nicely. It was such a good thing that there are no cauldrons and free flowing water around here no?
He turned his head to see-- Mia, Ivan, Lexi.... he turned at the Ministry Man and gave him a suspicious look. None of these people thus far are exactly fond of him. He was starting to wonder if this is a type of party where theres a sacrificial schmuck for entertainment-- and wondering if said schmuck happened to be the one other fellow holding a firewhiskey mug.
Prefects represent! He raised his glass at the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Prefects as the entered the pub "Finn! Uh... Hudson!" Yeah the dude had a name of the river. He wont forget that.
... and just as he was about to remark on the turnout, he spotted Lexi leaving. Okay.... what was that all about? He made the move to catch up with her, but immediately saw that Ivan was there too. Stand your ground.
Nearly all his life he was avoiding authority for one reason or another. Now it seemed like standing next to Ministry Security is the safest place he could be in a crowd like this. Imagine that.

Emily walked into the pub and took of her scarf. Why in the world had he chosen this place for a meet and greet?
Oh, people seemed to already be asking him questions. Was she late?
She quickly took at seat near the back of the group, trying not to look anyone in the eyes. She was nervous like that.
Man, she could use a drink...
It wasn't till her voice reached his ears, that Patroclus actually realised that Marie was standing right beside him, the boy had been too heavily involved in his butterbeer to see who else was at the Bar.
Smiling he turned and moved over to her, Cedric and .........Destiny. With his heart beating a little faster, which Patroclus just brushed away as the affect of the Butterbeer, "Hey Marie, I didn't even know this was happening till this morning, but I am happy I came, everyone seems to be here." Nodding to the Hufflepuff Prefect, "Hey Ced," then turning to Destiny, "Destiny!" he added grinning.
SPOILER!!: Evelyn

Grinning from ear to ear, for no apparent reason, Patroclus took a large swig of his drink again. However it was soon spluttered everywhere, as he went to laugh in response to his favourite nickname.
"Evelyn," he cried, whipping the slippage from his chin with a napkin, "You're here too! This is so awesome, This Ikenna guy knows how to organise a party!" Patroclus thought he was good at organising parties, but this new Security man had in one day got all of the coolest cats at Hogwarts in one room.
"I haven't spoken to him yet, have you?" Patroclus wondered what he was going to be greeting them about.

"It's not all that bad..." WHAT? "Wait, you two are twins?" Looking from one to the other, and then to the redhead girl who apparently was waiting for something from one of them, Evelyn's eyes widened as she just sat there. Merlin, where was her head during the sorting ceremony to make her miss all of this?
...HOW could she miss this? "Being twins just makes this a hundred times worse." she said, sounding completely serious about it. Hehe.
Not all that bad, huh? The comment just resulted in a rather unamused look from Sierra. That was easy for Evelyn to say--Evelyn didn't have a brother sorted into Hufflepuff! Or did she? It suddenly occurred to Sierra that she really didn't know all that much about her new friend, but she supposed she would have already picked up on something like a random Puffer Brother.
...and then Evelyn picked up on the devastating aspect of having a Puffer Brother--having a twin Puffer Brother. Finally! Someone who seemed to understand how Sierra felt about the whole situation. "Exactly," she mumbled, nodding her head as she picked up on the fact that Evelyn understood where she was coming from. "I have no idea what I could have possibly done to offend fate, but I just try not to think about it most of the time."
On that note, she shot Alex a little satisfied smile.

Not with Gevrik nearby....he had a feeling he could change back into an intimidating security guard in a heartbeat.
He watched as Sierra moved to another table and just rolled his eyes. And they said GIRLS matured faster than boys? Really?! Who came up with THAT one?
Sierra's smile fell, and she glared at her twin brother, wishing for once that if nasty looks couldn't kill, they could at least perform a pretty awesome hex. No such luck, though. "Just leave me alone, Alex," she snapped. "Don't you have some friends to talk to or something?"
She followed that comment with a heavy sigh and an eye roll, and then she turned her chair around to face the opposite direction. She just had nothing to say to her brother, and she really wished he would just leave her alone for now. She was in a terrible mood.

The point was...
Don't give her the chocolate!
...and just as she turned around, she caught sight of Evelyn trying desperately to get the attention of the Gevrik man. Huh? What on Earth was she doing? Thanks to Alex and his idiotic comments, Sierra had missed the last ten minutes of whatever had been going on between Evelyn and a few older Slytherin students.
It looked as if Evelyn desperately wanted a chocolate frog, and she was prepared to go to any lengths to get one. Honestly, if Sierra had known her friend wanted a piece of candy that bad, she'd have gotten her one long ago. She'd have even given Evelyn her chocolate frog had she not already taken a large bite out of it.
She followed Evelyn's gaze to the scenario with Gevric and the girls.
Treyen had no questions to ask the man, however, he was very interested in hearing out whatever Ikenna dude had to say, and whatever others could ask. If he seemed necessary to ask something then he'd do it, but he was here just to listen out everyone else.
Sneaky, very sneaky. Like a true Hufflepuff.
The boy sat not too far from Alex and remained quiet.
