When not in use for classes, several of the greenhouses that are located on the school grounds are open for private and independent research and study. In fact, this is highly encouraged.
Within the unlocked doors of the greenhouses you will find rows and rows of plants. The greenhouses contain a wide variety of plants - both magical and mundane. Want to practice your pruning skills? Why not practice on the Abyssinian Shrivelfig of a Flutterby Bush? Or perhaps you want to harvest some Puffapod seeds- just don’t drop them! -- unless you want to of course.
In the cupboards you will find several shelves containing any equipment you might find yourself needing: trowels, cultivators, shears, protective goggles and the like. Also, in case you forgot your own, there is a cupboard which contains work robes and gloves in various sizes. As usual, you can find the fertilizer in a heap behind the greenhouses.
Remember Professor Bentley likes to take regular strolls through the greenhouse to check on things. So make sure you wear your protective gear and behave yourselves accordingly.
All that was left now was a bed time story. Aurora sat down, took off her gloves and placed them next to each other. Well, Aurora had become increasingly obsessed with the story of Sleeping Beauty since she had visited Disney World, after all, they shared the same name. "Right then, little one." she started, putting on her best children's-entertainer voice. "This is the story of a princess." She told the story, putting on different voices for each character and getting so carried away that she even acted out a little bit of it - swooning slightly as she told of the waking kiss. When she was finished she stood up, picked up her gloves, blew her little bushling a kiss and said goodbye. Then she turned and walked back up to the castle.

Laura was done with the song-and-dance part. She was enjoying it!! Fun homework!!!
Now, she had to sprinkle the blood and bone mix. She went to the cupboard and began searching for it. now, where was it?? She had a tough time searching for it!! 'Aha,' she said as she found it finally.
She went back to her plant. She put on her gloves. 'Oky dokey..,' she said as she sprinkled the mix around the base of the plant
Ariella happily skipped into the greenhouses. She was over-excited to see how her little fire seed bush was doing. Making her way into Greenhouse 2, she found her pot. She could spot a tiny sprout peeking out from the soil.
Glancing around her, she found the Ivy. "Hello! Would you mind moving a tad to block that ray of sunlight?" she asked, squinting upwards. The Ivy wiggled in front of the sun. "Thank you!" Ariella said, giving it a light pat.
Isabelle walked into the greenhouses where she would find her fire seed bushling. She had decided to name it Cindy. As in Incendio, Cendio, Cindyo, Cindy. It was an interesting process creating Cindy's name. But it all related back to the magical word to create fire. And Cindy was a fire seed bushling. Izzy noticed that it was fairly bright where Cindy was. She walked up to one of the pretty ivy's and asked it kindly. "Would you care to block out some of the light for me and my fire bushling Cindy?"
The ivy moved so that the light was carefully blocked out. "Thank you dear ivy," she said as she gave it a hug. The ivy wrapped itself around her a little bit. It felt a bit funny but nice. Then she went to sit down by her fire bushling.

Harvey could not believe he was expected to sing and dance! He hated both those things as he knew he was not very good at them.. but since the seedling would need entertainment.. he decided that he would do it.. "Ok Little One.. I am going to... .... sing and dance for you.. now mind you I am not good at either.. Now there is one song that has been in my head recently.. I used to listen to it all the time. If only I could bring my muggle electronic equipment then I would have played it to you instead of singing it" he said as he sighed.. if only he could bring them and they would work
"Anyways the song I am going to sing is called Be Strong by a singer called Delta Goodrem. She was around at the beginning of the century about 70yrs ago.. she must be very old now.. she was in her 20s when she sang this song.. I wonder if she is still around.. it would be great to meet her.. she has some amazing songs.. I have heard all of them.. anyways.. I am going to sing.. but mind you she is WAY better a singer than I am.. so here. goes" he said as he took a deep breath and looked around to make sure that no-one was watching him..
SPOILER!!: Song for Little One
"Are you swimming upstream in oceans of blue?
Do you feel like your sinking?
Are you sick of the rain after all you've been through?
Well I know what you're thinking
When you can't take it
You can make it
Sometime soon I know you'll see "
Harvey danced around the seedling trying to action out the words to the whole song as he sang it
"'cause when your in you're darkest hour
And all of the light just fades away
When you're like a single flower whose colours have turned to shades of gray
Well hang on and be strong
Where taking each step one day at a time
You can't loose your spirit
Let live and let live forget and forgive
It's all how you see it
And just remember keep it together
Don't you know you're never alone
'cause when you're in your darkest hour
And all of the light just fades away
When you're like a single flower whose colours have turned to shades of gray
Well hang on, and be strong
No you're not defeated
And soon you'll be smiling once again
Then you won't have to feel it
Let it go with the wind
Time passes us by
And know that you're allowed to cry
'cause when you're in your darkest hour
And all of the light just fades away
When you're like a single flower whose colours have turned to shades of gray
Well hang on and be strong"
Harvey then sat down next to the plant.. a little hot and breathless after singing and dancing for his seedling. "There! I ..hope that.. was.. good.. I am not.. very good at .. all of that.. sorry." he said as he tried to catch his breath before moving onto the next task of caring for his seedling..

Vickers made his way towards greenhouse entrance, eyes searching the walls for something that resembles a cupboard. When he has finally found it he peered in, looking for the small bag the Professor said would contain the blood and bone mix. And there it was-- a stack of them sitting by the shelf.
He took out a small bag and closed the cupboard again. When he returned to his work area he eyed the minuscule Fire Seed Bush, then the bag in his hand. Quite an interesting choice of plant food for the seedling, and the Ravenclaw was curious as to why such a mix. Tugging slightly at his glove again he reached in and took out a pinch of the mix, then sprinkled it around the base of his seedling.

Harvey had now caught his breath back.. and swiftly moved onto the next task.. he got out his gloves and he put them on making sure that they were on probably he... he didnt want to have to go to the hospital wing at anytime.. so once he put them on and made sure that they were on securely.. he went to the store cupboard that was by the entrance, he opened it up and looked for the small bag of blood and bone mixture that he needed for the next task..
After a moment of looking he found what he was looking for.. he picked it up and took it back to his seedling.. and he smiled at it and showed the bag that he had. He was going to assume that he was happy to see the bag as Harvey took out a pinch of the mixture and sprinkled it around the base trying to make sure that he did not burn himself.. once he had done that he went back to the stored cupboard and put the bag away so that someone else could use it next. He then came back to his seedling "There.. how is that? good? Well i am happy about that" he said to the seedling as he got ready for the next task of caring for his seedling.
There was only one task left, the bedtime story. So Silvia sat next to the pot and began to tell the fire seed a fairy tale that her grandmother had once told her. A little bit of the ivy rested itself on her shoulder, as if to listen in on the story as well.
It was the story of Princess Kaguya, who was raised by a bamboo cutter on Earth, refusing marriage to several princes and the emperor until the day she had to return with her people to their home on the moon. She left behind her a bottle of the elixir of immortality for the emperor. But the emperor refused to drink it, not wanting to live forever if he could never see the princess.
Having finished, Silvia stood up and picked up her bag. "Goodnight, fire seedling," she said, patting the side of the pot. "Sweet dreams. And goodnight ivy." She headed out of the greenhouse.
Ariella retrieved a watering can from the table. Glancing down at her parchment with her homework assignment, she saw that she needed to pour boiling hot water onto her bush. She pulled out her wand, and pointing it into the hollow of her watering can, exclaimed, "Aguamenti!" A jet of water shot out the tip of her wand. She filled up her can just a tad.
And now to boil it. "Chaudensis!" she said again, repeating the familiar wand movement she had learned in class. Now for the waiting. While the water heated up, she tightened her gloves and poked around the soil. Everything looked okay to her. A light rumbling sound erupted from her watering can a few minutes later. She checked to make sure it was boiling, and then proceeded to pouring a light sprinkle of water onto her little bush.

Harvey was now ready to read a story to his seedling.. "Well Little One time for your bedtime story.." he said getting out six books from his bag. "Now I have a selection of books for you.. choose which one you want to hear.." he said as he waited... after a while "No? you cant choose? Well I can choose one.. ok? Ok let me choose one.. hmmm... lets see .. I know I will read this one to you.. Its called the Vulture Shock.." he said as he got the book out to read..
SPOILER!!: Little One's Bedtime Story
OOC: Story is TOO long to be put here.. so I have provided a link to the story.. I do not own the story.. It is part of the Lion King Collection.. called The Lion King: Six New Adventures.
"There! Did you like that story? It was good wasnt it? Yes.. well time for you to go to sleep now.. I will leave you.. but I will back soon and maybe I could read you the other stories.." he said as he picked up the watering can and put it back where it was supposed to go.. he then took off his gloves and put them into his bag.. he picked up his bag and waved bye to his seedling "Bye Little One.. see you again soon... be good now.. and go to sleep" he said as he waved goodbye and left the greenhouse..

Oh goody. The part she dreaded. Couldn't she at least have someone else sing instead of her? Her musical talent was non-existent, what if the plants there got scared or something like that? What if the Fire Seed Bush died in agony? Ari realized there was no way out regardless, so she pondered what she could sing as a lesser evil. The only song she sounded decent singing was...
Haaapppy biiirthdaaay tooo youuu, happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Fire Seed Bush,
Happy birthday to youuuu!
Ariadne couldn't believe she was doing that. It was just so embarrassing! Uh-oh, and she had forgotten the dancing part. Continuing with the song, the Gryffindor began to move in circles around the plant, now thinking that it could only die of amusement.
'For she's a jolly good plaaant, for she's a jolly good plaaant,
And nobody can deny...'
The girl sincerely hoped she would never ever have to do anything like this again.

He flipped over the pages of his notes… alright last step. Story telling part. When he was looking through his books for something to bring to the greenhouse he was wondering what kind of story he should read for the plant. Should it be a comedy? A drama? Historical? Whose history, theirs or the Muggles’?
Then he started to wonder, would it even matter? Would the Fire Seed Bushling even understand the story at all? It was true that magical plants are vastly different from muggle ones, but he couldn’t help but wonder if it wasn’t so much what he said but how he said it.
Another thing to ask Professor Bentley about.
But for now he needed to complete the last task. He tweaked back the volume on the gramophone to a level where it could still be heard softly. Taking a book out of his bag he pulled the stool towards him and sat just in front of his pot. ”Hello little Fire Seed… Bush.” urk that was a little awkward. Should he have named this plant? He wasn’t much for naming. After all, what was he going to call it? Mr Bush?
I’m going to read you a poem… he started in a tone that complemented the soothing Mozart playing on the gramophone. ”This is known as the Song of the Ents. Ents are majestic talking trees from….” the Muggle imagination? ”…. a land far, far away. This is a song between an Ent and his potential Ent-Wife.” Aaaand he's going to stop with that explanation. Good thing Fire Seed Bushes cant ask questions.
He opened the book to a page he marked earlier and began to read the verses...
SPOILER!!: The Song of the Ents
The Ent and the Ent-wife
ENT:
When Spring unfolds the beechen leaf, and sap is in the bough;
When light is on the wild-wood stream, and wind is on the brow;
When stride is long, and breath is deep, and keen the mountain-air,
Come back to me! Come back to me, and say my land is fair!
ENTWIFE:
When Spring is come to garth and field, and corn is in the blade;
When blossom like a shining snow is on the orchard laid;
When shower and Sun upon the Earth with fragrance fill the air,
I'll linger here, and will not come, because my land is fair.
ENT:
When Summer lies upon the world, and in a noon of gold
Beneath the roof of sleeping leaves the dreams of trees unfold;
When woodland halls are green and cool, and wind is in the West,
Come back to me! Come back to me, and say my land is best!
ENTWIFE:
When Summer warms the hanging fruit and burns the berry brown;
When straw is gold, and ear is white, and harvest comes to town;
When honey spills, and apple swells, though wind be in the West,
I'll linger here beneath the Sun, because my land is best!
ENT:
When Winter comes, the winter wild that hill and wood shall slay;
When trees shall fall and starless night devour the sunless day;
When wind is in the deadly East, then in the bitter rain
I'll look for thee, and call to thee; I'll come to thee again!
ENTWIFE:
When Winter comes, and singing ends; when darkness falls at last;
When broken is the barren bough, and light and labour past;
I'll look for thee, and wait for thee, until we meet again:
Together we will tkae the road beneath the bitter rain!
When he had finished he lay the book down at the edge of the table and peered at the plant. "Did you like that?" he asked and paused.... he wasnt expecting it to answer did he?
He closed his book and tucked it back into his bag "Well who knows someday you could be a majestic, talking, walking, burning bush!" He knows at least one of those is going to happen. He replaced the lid over the gramaphone's box and tucked it back into his bag. Lifting his pot he returned it back to the table at the far wall where he found it earlier. He, pat-patted his pot and uttered a quick "Bye Mr Bush.". He called it Mr Bush. Merlin!
And with that he tidied up his work station, tied up his knapsack and closed the door of the greenhouse behind him.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Oakey came into the greenhouse, and found his fire seed that had quickly popped itself out of it's pot. He looked back to the entrance and saw a eency weency bit of light cracking through. Oakey remembered that the plants in here need little to no sunlight so he went over to the vines. Hey uh, vines. I noticed that a small sliver of sunlight is peeking through you right now. You might want to cover up. He motioned with his thumb and index finger closing a tiny space in between.
Just like that the vines closed themselves completely shut and wrapped one of it's vines around Oakey's outstretched hand. No, Thank you. He replied to the vine as it unwrapped itself off of his hand

Whistling. Yes, he'd been whistling all the way to the Greenhouses and once he stepped inside...he felt just like he did when they had that DADA lesson. Zero light. Spooky.
Yet he knew that the Fire Seed Bush needed that. And...looking closer...it had sprouted. Blink. Hey, good for the bush! It was alive! Or so he thought. Yet it wasn't dark enough, was it? How did he knew? Because unlike DADA, he could still find his way around. Now...this was going to feel extremely ridiculous..., "Um, so, Miss Ivy...," he suppressed the urge to roll his eyes for the sake of the live bush over there, "...I was...wondering...if perhaps you could, please, make this place cozier for this bush over here?" and he was pointing at the bush, as if he was talking to a real person. YES, BENTLEY, plants have feelings too, we got it.
"Granted, I know it'll make you feel warmer if you do...," as he said, he touched the ivy...which instantly moved around and...yeah, now he'll have issues finding his way out thanks to the darkness...AND SOMETHING WAS TOUCHING HIS HAIR! AH!
That didn't last long, for he stepped away rather quickly...and glanced at the bush nervously. The ivy wasn't going to kill the bush, was it? "Thanks Miss Ivy," for being so kind and releasing his hair, "I'll see you soon...you too, little bush." Why, Bentley would be proud of him, wouldn't she?
He left, after making sure the space met the requirements for the bush to keep on growing.

Hannah glanced down at the notes she took on her homework assignment. She needs to water the fire seed bush now lightly. She got her watering can and pointed her wand at it while saying Aguamenti." Water shot out from her wand. She now needed to heat the water. Going over the lesson in her head she knew the incantation and the wand movement that she would need. She moved her wand just right and said "Chaundensis" while pointing the wand at the water in the watering can. She waited a few moments to ensure that the water was indeed boiling. She pulled her gloves on tighter just to be sure and lightly watered the bush.
At the greenhouse's entrance, Louisa stood and let out a huff. Seriously, professor Bentley had gone a bit too far with this environment friendly assignment. The girl bet even MARINA wouldn't hug or sing a song to a plant! It was against logic! With another huff, the girl walked into the greenhouse where it was already half dark.
"...telling a stupid Ivy to give us more darkness and pat it..." Major scoff followed that. Louisa went further into the greenhouse where her seed had been put. Stopping at the line of other Fire Seed Bushes, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows at this. "Wow... you're eager to grow up, aren't you?" It was still kind of.. lifeless looking and not the kind of tree you wanted to see in spring but it was definitely growing! "We'll talk to Ivy here for you." Oh great, now Louisa was talking to both the bush AND the Ivy. Gah.
Walking over to where the Ivy had crawled, the girl cleared her throat and started, "Err.. hello there... I ... uh.." SIGH. Start over. "Hi Ivy! I'd like to thank you for your... attempt of making this place dark and damp." The Ivy, well one of its branches, started crawling toward the girl's foot. "And please keep it up because our plants need- WHAO!" Louisa jumped in her place when the Ivy tickled her leg. "What was that for?" Her stony face relaxed a bit and a small smile was drawn on her face. "I'll take that as a yes." She bent down, patted the tickling branch and headed back to her bush again.
Time passed as he kept talking to both plants (ivy and fire seed). Luckily, he ran out of idea on what to talk about and went to the cupboard and searched for something in the dark. A few minutes later, he returned with a watering can in hand. Hades chose a metal one so it'd be easy to boil the water later. Wand hand slipped into his jacket, he withdrew a Spruce wood about twelve to thirteen inches and pointed one end into the mouth of the watering can. "Aguamenti!" commanded the fourth year to conjure water, but he didn't fill the watering can and only conjured a little amount of water. After that, Hades pulled out his wand and traced a circular shape on the surface of the can. "Chaudensis," spoke the boy coolly and he waited for the water to boil.
Several minutes went by and Hades peeked into the watering can to see whether the water has boiled. Fortunately, it had boiled indeed. A smile was seen on his face as he put away his wand before lifting the watering can slowly. Then, he carefully poured very little amount of water onto the Fire Seed. "You'll take care of Hwajae for me, won't you?" It seemed like Hades was talking to himself, but he was actually talking to Wasima, the ivy.
Venturing into the darkness wasn't precisely the most fun he could do, yet it was slightly necessary for him to check out on the Fire Seed Bush and see if Miss Ivy did the wonderful job of keeping the light away from the bush. Which she apparently did...
...since the bush was still alive. That was always a plus.
However, it needed some water, this was the hardest part, for if the bush died...it'd be entirely his fault. All his fault. If he added too much water and drowned it, that is. Poor thing. He hoped it wouldn't happen.
So, he took a watering can for this, just as it was done in class, and took out his wand as well. "Aguamenti," he spoke, and for a second water streamed out of his wand into the watering can. He'd be using half of the little amount of water that was currently there, for sure. NOW, Chaudensis Charm. "Chaw-den-sis," he said as he bent his wrist and did that smooth rotation Bentley taught directing it to the watering can. So, yeah, the water wasn't boiling yet, he waited until it was.
Once the water was boiling, he carefully added a liiiiiiittle bit of it into the soil.
He kind of stood there. Watching the bush. Hoping to Gilderoy that he hadn't killed it. And...it seemed like he hadn't...but time will tell. "I guess...I'll see you tomorrow, little bush." Which translated into...please, do your best to survive.
Treyen nodded before returning the watering can to its place...and...gave one more look to the bush before leaving.

Hannah now realizing that she was to the point of her homework assignment that she needed to sing and dance to the bush. Akward she thought but this was the assignment and what choice did she really have. So she thought for a minute about what song to sing and exhaled deeply. Ok here goes nothing she thought.
With a quick clearing of her throat she busted out with
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine."
All the while she was singing she was dancing in circles around the fire seed bush. There for a little bit she got lost in her song and actually started enjoying herself. Then she was finished with the song and started thinking about her actual song choice. They didn't like light and here she was signing at the top of her lungs about it. "Err...maybe that wasn't the best choice of song for you err...bush, but I hope I entertained you nevertheless." Ok now she was talking to plants and hoping she entertained well for them. She needed to finish up with her homework assignment so she could go lay down in the common room.

Not sure of what to do next, Hades pulled out a folded parchment from his jeans pocket before unfolding it. After watering was... Sing and dance. He held the parchment, but he was lost in thoughts. How the heck was he supposed to sing? He can dance, sure. He was used to doing acrobatics, but singing... This was getting ridiculous! Hades quickly stood up and walked away. Maybe he should just give up on this homework. However, he stopped when he reached the door and looked back at the pot.
After letting a heavy sigh, he returned into the greenhouse and looked down at the pot. Another sigh escaped his mouth and Hades started to whistle to a tune shortly instead of singing. As for the dance, well... He took a careful look around to make sure that no one else was there. Not even a professor or support staff. He took out the music player from his pocket, chose a song and started to dance.

Kneeling down before her bush, Louisa took off her shoulder bag and placed it on the floor before her. "So, thirsty little plant?" she smiled subtly at it. Taking an empty can from the bag, the Ravenclaw took out her wand next. "We're going to moisten you a bit." She waved her wand at the can, "Aguamenti." The thin stream of water dripped out from her wand's end. As usual, it only filled few millimeters but Louisa didn't push the spell this time. She had to sprinkle some boiling water on the plant not water it.
"Chaudensis," moving her wrist in a circular move. "Now, we.." Louisa held the can, "..sprinkle those.." she brought it on top of the pot, "..on you." Tilting the can a bit, she made sure to move it all over the soil in the pot. She smiled satisfied then. "There. You're.. nourished."
IT WAS ALREADY TOMORROW! And he forgot to come check out the little bush! Well, he actually didn't forget, otherwise he wouldn't be coming to the Greenhouses if he had.
Miss Ivy was still doing a marvelous job, and...lookit! The little bush seemed to be doing okay. Good to know he hadn't killed it with the water yesterday.
So, basically, he sat close to the bush, and...glanced around. This was extremely ridiculous. "It's nice to see you're doing okay." Or so he assumed. "Eh...," well, yeah, he didn't know what else to say! This was a bush! Treyen cleared his throat before continuing, "...I'm NOT dancing for you, unfortunately, though I suppose I could sing...," SIGH, "...something for you." RIDICULOUS. Miss Ivy could come and strangle him now.
"I did...however, brought something that...will circle around...just pretend these cards are mini-versions of me...and if Bentley asks, tell her it was me." Fair enough, right? He was rather good with card tricks and stuff, so, it was pretty much nothing to have the cards circle around the plant as if they were walking, to the beat of...why, yes, the Hogwarts' school song. Because that was the less silly thing he could sing to a plant. School spirit for the win.
Treyen cleared his throat before starting. Mind you, the singing wasn't loud, but the bush would be able to hear.
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees
Our heads could do with filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot."
And the cards all fell to the floor as soon as the song ended...plus, Miss Ivy there took one of them. Tsk, tsk! And it didn't seem like she was going to give that card back.
"So, yeah, in case you didn't know, you're at Hogwarts." He chuckled, eyes on the bush.
The Hufflepuff accio'd the remaining cards, thanks Miss Ivy, and stood up. "See ya, little bush." He said, waving at the plant. SIGH! WAVING?! He shook his head on the way out.
Stuffing the water can back in the bag, Louisa crossed her legs underneath her and paused. Well... this was going to be awkward. Ahem. "You see, I know you don't need any singing or dancing whatsoever." Louisa gave a one sided smile, "But it's my homework so I'm going to sing to you... the song doesn't need a dance so we'll ignore than part for now." Ahem. Right. So..
Louisa bent down a bit and whispered sang the version of the nursery hymn Jason used to sing her:
"Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are?
Looking at your magic light
Watching over us tonight
Before my dreams take me away
I kneel beside my bed and pray
For all the children in the dark
Till tomorrow, twinkle little star....
Promise me you'll twinkle little star....
Cos everybody needs a little star."
Silence.
Clearing her throat for what it seemed the tenth time today, Louisa gave an awkward chuckle, "It wasn't really that good, I know, but we'll pretend you are the twinkling star. You do shine a bit." So it wasn't that far off. "Oh! Ivy liked it too. Shucks." Louisa patted the Ivy that had crawled closer to her and wrapped itself around the girl's arm.
Miss Bentley wasn't as insane as she sounded like after all.
The Hufflepuff was now feeling less ridiculous about the whole singing, maybe the fact that he wasn't doing so today had something to do with it.
But, as soon as he stepped inside a greeting was made for both Miss Ivy and Little Bush, who was still alive.
Now, the cupboard...the cupboard...ah! There! Treyen put on his gloves...and goggles, just in case, before opening the cupboard. And there it was, the bag of...some more gross stuff that Bentley kept at the Greenhouses. Blood and bone mix? Yeah, gross.
He still took it, and went over by the bush, "This is a little something for you, courtesy of Professor Bentley, truth be told," well, he didn't have a bag of blood and bone mix in the Common Room. Either way, he sprinkled some of that at the base, VERY careful as to not get burn or anything.
"There. You look good." He said. Trying very hard not to pat the plant.
And...he returned the little bag to the cupboard before waving, yet again, and saying goodbye to Little Bush. Miss Ivy even got a wink.
Jumping on her feet, Louisa trotted back to the entrance of the greenhouses. Her shoulder bag had the dragon-hide gloves and goggles were in there. She saw several cupboards there though. Furrowing her eyebrows slightly, the Ravenclaw started opening one which seemed to be for the lost stuff during class. She shut it and opened the next one. "Aha! Blood's filthy smell." With a smirk on her face, she sank her hand into the bag and snatched her gloves out.
The bag that seemed to reek was out the capboard and the girl made sure not to breath deeply while holding it. Back to where her newborn bush sat, she knelt down and struggled with the bag to be open. "Tis dinner time, sweetie." Yep, talking to plants was not worse than talking to her metal egg last term. Heh.
Getting a little of the stinky blood and bone cocktail, Louisa carefully moved her gloved hand close to the roots of the bush and sprinkled them. "Bon appetite." Hmm.
