Damon shook his head, "It's fine." He wasn't in the mood for drama today, "Hey Tay," He smiled at her, "How're you doing?"

Tay smiled, "It has been good and just got better with seeing the two people here." She kissed his cheek back, blushing at the compliment, "THank you." Taylor grinned, "I'm doing good and you?"

Damon smiled, "Tired, ready to leave..." He let out a fake yawn, looking down again, he didn't want the gift showing, and it worried him. He wanted it to be a surprise.

Maxwell nodded to acknowledge Damon but said nothing else. He was in no mood for their squabbles today, today was about Taylor.

Maxwell smiled at the kiss on the cheek. "Good, i'm glad it's been a good day for you." He chuckled a little at her blush. "No need to thank me for telling you what i know to be true." Normally he might tone down the sweet talk because of Damon, but the easiest way for him to act normal to Damon was to pretend he wasn't there when he wasn't speaking.

"Yeah i cant wait to be back in Scotland." She smiled at Damon then back at MAxwell. Tay blushed even deeper, "I dont know how true it is though." Taylor giggled some. "How was today to you so far?"

Maxwell smiled. "Well, i do know it." He laughed a little as she giggled. He wasn't sure the question was for him but he spoke anyway. "Well, I've been working all day on a spell i came up with myself. To transfigure something." He said in a mysterious tone and hinting at the box.

Damon stood there awkwardly, waiting patiently for one of them to include him.

Tay realized that maybe Damon didnt know the Scotland comment was too him. She decided not to tell him then. "Oooooooh." Taylor smiled at Maxwell, "You have been practicing a spell you made?" She was clearly interested. "May i pretty please see what your spell does?" To Damon, trying to bring him into the conversation, "Isnt it impressive that Maxwell has made a spell this early?" She laughed and smiled back at MAxwell.

Damon forced a smile and nodded, sitting, very very carefully trying to make sure he didn't sit on the quilt.

Maxwell smiled at Taylor. He was proud of his accomplishment. "Of course you can. It's your birthday and besides i've been working on it for you." He said blushing a little. "Well, i was originally going to get you a flute like mine and teach you to play, but i didn't think that was a good enough gift for you. But i already made the other flute, so i had to think of a way to change it.. The spell is called Oscen Canticum, i made it to turn a musical instrument into a songbird. I got the idea from that book Ariana made me read, 'The Hunger Games' Do you remember the mockingjays? you sing them a song and they sing it back to you?" He paused for her to answer the question.

Tay blushed when he said he had been working on it for her. She clapped her hands in delight, "That sounds amazing!" Taylor smiled at him then nodded, "Yeah i remember the mockingjays."

Damon shook his head, "Overrated book." He muttered to himself, getting more impatient.

Maxwell smiled. "It's just like a Mockingjay in that sense you play any melody and it'll play that melody back to you." He smiled, then asked "Are you ready to see it?" he asked holding the box in front of her.

Tay sent a frown to Damon that told him to be nice. She then smiled at Maxwell and opened the box to see the bird.

The bird flew out of the box and into the air.

Maxwell watched Taylors face as the small bird flew out. He snapped his fingers and the bird landed gently on them. It was a miniature version of his own Phoenix. "I haven't named her, i thought you might want to. Ohh and i trained her to come at the sound of a snap since she can't replicate it." He laughed a little and began to play the first melody he had made up for Taylor that first day at the lake and the bird played it back, perfectly.

Her face was lit up in delight as she watched the small bird. She smiled at the melody, remembering when he first played it. Tay watched as the bird played it back. She absolutely adored his gift.

Damon looked at the small bird and messed with the poem he had in his robes pocket. Just wait...

"I almost forgot!" He reached into the box and retrieved a fire red feather, made into a headband. "This is from Helios, he says happy birthday." Maxwell said as though he could actually understand the birds squawking. "So, happy birthday. What will you name her?" He asked.

Tay glanced at the headband and smiled, "That is sweet of Helios, please tell him I said happy birthday." Taylor laughed then to answer his question, "I have no clue what i shall name the charming little bird."

Maxwell smiled. "I'll tell him." Then to the thing about the nameless bird he said. "Well, i hope you think of something and that she'll bring you endless joy with her songs, She can make her own as well." he said then kissed her cheek. "Happy Birthday."

Tay smiled, "Hmmmmm what do you think of Mùirne?" She kept admiring the small bird, "She is wondeful." Taylor glanced up at MAxwell, "Thank you."

Logan walked down to the front gate, a sort of skip in his step. He squinted up at the sky as he walked, smiling at the beautiful weather. He was really enjoying spring at Hogwarts, it looked so beautiful. He was really itching to go for a swim in the lake, and maybe a run around the grounds.

Suddenly, everything went black. Logan stuck his arms out in front of him, wondering what was going on when he noticed his beanie had fallen over his eyes. Laughing at himself, he pulled it up more and sighed. It was a little big for him. . .

Logan plopped down on the ground, a bit tired. He then fell onto his back, and put his arms behind his head as he looked up at the sky.

Maxwell tilted his head to the left like a curious dog. "What does it mean?" He asked having never heard the name before. He smiled at her. "You are very welcome."

Tay smiled, "It means admiration in Gaelic..... it is a girl's name." She laughed.

Ameliah looked up and saw Logan with his beanie over his eyes. She couldn't help but laugh. That is too adorable... Walking over, she layed down next to him. She poked him. "Nice hat, but it's a bit big, isn't it?" she joked.
