Jezzabelle watched as Kurumi hung not one but multiple blue flags. "Hey Kurumi!" She headed towards the older girl. "Where'd all the blue come from?" And where they going to get any more flags any time soon?

Gideon had finally made his way back to the Front Gate, the Gryffindor looking around for any awaiting housemates. Or any other houses for that matter that might be hanging around simply waiting to see who showed up. He wouldn't put it past any of them to be doing so, not with the behavior he had already seen. He spotted Kurumi as she was climbing down from the iron gate, the boy curiously watching as she added a blue flag to a nearby tree that resembled the other two already on the gate.


"Kurumi!" he replied excitedly. "Ye've been busy...we have Ravenclaw as well?!"

Well duh Gert...why else would she be dealing with blue objects unless she had gone for the diversion of making the other houses THINK they had the eagle flag. And it appeared he wasn't the only one for shortly after he arrived Jezzabelle was there too.

"Kennedy, Slytherin's prefect, and Adam helped me get it. I...sort of talked my way out of getting trapped in snake territory by making a deal with them. They help us get this flag and we help them get the Hufflepuff one," Kurumi explained to Jezz. "We are just about to go try and get it, but it would have been foolish to take the blue one into Ravenclaw territory." Hence why she had brought it back here and there were now two decoys.

Hopefully they would prove to be enough of a distraction to help them stop any attack. If not, well, then at least she tried and practiced some charms while she was at it. That was the whole point of this exercise anyway.
Oh GOOD! Gideon had made it back safely. Had he run into any trouble along the way? She sure hoped that he hadn't been waiting for her, but she was afraid that that was the case. "Yep and I'm glad to see you made it back here," she chirped. Gideon had heard her explanation, so there was no need to repeat it again. "Oh, Gideon, use these," she offered, handing him the two charmed red handkerchiefs. "I don't know if they will work or not, but any sort of distraction will help, right?" So, in theory, instead of two flags they had six scattered in their territory, only one was really a flag and the others were simply handkerchiefs.

"So, now we need to figure out who stays here and who goes and helps Adam and Kennedy get the Hufflepuff flag." Kurumi was rather winded, so she didn't mind staying behind. Then again, surprisingly, her and Adam had...ACTUALLY made a half decent team in going after the blue flag, as much as she hated to admit it.

August had just arrived back at the Front Gates, the Gryffindors' zone and was breathing a little heavy. He had just ran back from the Whomping Willow where he had rescued Jezz from the Hufflepuff holding cell which it seemed she had gotten back here before him. Auggie waved at her and then listened as Kurumi started to devise a plan.

He raised his hand. "I can stay back here and help watch the area." he said with a nod.

Nate hides behind the wall and sees the flag. "I have to get that flag. Hmm let's see." He points his wand at one of the gryffindors and whispers "Augamenti." Come on herbology spell don't fail him now.

Auggie watched as a person began to appear as they ran closer to the Front Gate. He had been talking with Kurumi and the other Gryffindors and thought it was just another lion at first...

Until he saw the yellow on his robes.

Watched as the water shot out of the boy's wand towards the group of them and he took off running straight at the kid, his hand reaching out to tag him.

Nate seeing the boy person was going to tag him he had to flee but before that he said "Rictumsempra. You can't catch me." Then he ran.

She smiled as Gideon showed up with their red flag and Kurumi pulled out some flags charmed to look like the red one. Well they now had two flags. Awesome. She waved to Auggie and then said, "Well I mean I can stay or go. Just place me where I'm needed." She turned and watched as Auggie ran after...Nate? Seems like Nate was scared off as he ran the other way. "Protego," she said deflecting the spell Nat had shot off towards Auggie. Now they were even.

Sigh. She turned her attention back to the group at hand. "As I said. Anywhere you need me, place me."

At the top of the iron gate amongst all the colourful objects the red flag and blue flag are flapping against the cold iron stone happily both in Gryffindor possession.

Kurumi checked the sky and figured that there wasn't much time left in the game, possibly. Seeing as neither August nor Jezz had been able to capture a flag just yet - although they certainly had been pulling their weight, Kurumi nodded her head at the two. "I think, you two should go on a head and try to get that flag," she suggested. "I have had plenty of adventures in enemy territory, go make some of your own."

Kurumi looked up at their two flags and the four decoy's around their area. Just a little bit longer...Kurumi wasn't sure how much more running around she could handle. This was more running than she had done during Lord Borr's ridiculous assignment.

"Ohhhhh honeeeeeey!
Its just fate I'm at the gate,
Flags for two, and two for Peeves!
No flags for you, flags for Peeves, alone!
Nobody can get near Peeves!"

The poltergeist cackled.

"To see Peeves is to fear Peeves!
No Hufflepuffs or Gryffindors,
Or Slytherins or Ravenclaws."

The poltergeist swooped in and claimed both the blue and the red flags.

"Your game is done, dears!
And Peeves has won, dears!"

The ethereal being swooped off, disappearing through a bush.

Gideon too had decided to stay behind, the boy giving the other Gryffindors a chance to actively participate in the chase and capture. So after climbing up the gate and depositing his recaptured Gryffindor flag among its design, he had simply climbed back down, setting up the decoys along the way. Everything seemed to be going okay even after August had fought of an invading team member and the fifth year couldn't help but wonder how much longer the game would be going on.

It was then when it had been quiet for a while that they were greeted with an unsuspected visitor. "PEEVES!" Gideon yelled despite the fact that he doubted the poltergeist would respond much. Uggg...all that work and the ghost just swooped in and disappeared with the two flags.

Just as Jezz was about to walk away Peeves swept in and there went their flags. She groaned and threw her hand up in the air and watched as he flew off. "I'm going to go see Professor Schirmer." Maybe she knew something about this. She walked away from the gate heading back to where they started.

"Peeves!" Tayla exclaimed irritably as the poltergeist took the flags and disappeared. "Peeves, come back here!" she said in vain. She couldn't believe the flags were gone just like that because of one mischievous ghost.

She heard Jezz mention the professor and decided to follow her.

Kurumi gawked as Peeves showed up and took two of their flags. He couldn't have snatched up two of the decoy ones... nooooooooo, he had to take the real once that they had only just won back. Kurumi glanced over at Gideon when he yelled after the poltergeist and then turned her head when she heard Jezz announce that she was going to go find Professor Schirmer. Was there a point in them all going? The poor Charms professor probably already had a bunch of students back in the classroom freaking out.

"We'll wait here," she nodded. Jezz could always come back and get them anyway and there was the off chance that Peeves would come back...possibly.

Seeing that the ghost had vanished through a bush, Kurumi did the only logical thing she could and dove into it. Maybe he had dropped something?

Gideon raised his eyebrow at her comment, the boy caring about her and her injury but not intending to be all over-protective mothering if thats what she meant. Injuries were not all to be taken lightly, having healers in the family that reminded people of that kept him informed. And as she described the incident he unconsciously winced. Yeah, that sounded painful. "Aye....hand meeting mirror is never a good combination," he mused dropping his visible concern and was just musng over the topic.

She chuckled at his comment and then softly rubbed her injured hand and she huffs. "It'll just take some time for it to heal. It'll be alright in a couple of weeks or so. Might end up with a scar, but I can live with that. I have been through much worse than punching a bloody bathroom mirror." She lowered her hand to her side and then shifted her weight and she leaned back against the gate and shrugs. "You learn from your mistakes...right? I mean that's what my father used to tell me when I would fall down in the backyard playing around with my cousins." She pushes off the gate walking towards Gideon getting a little close to him and she tilts her head to the side a little. "You know I missed you while I was gone."

At least when Elektra laughed it seemed like she wasn't still annoyed with his concern and questioning. He simply nodded as she mentioned the overall outcome that might become of the wound, the 5th year agreeing that a scar was by far one of the nicest outcomes you can accept. "Aye...that ye do," he agreed aloud looking back at her, noticing too late that she had moved close to him wondering when she had moved.

"Um...ye did?" he question not sure he expected it. Despite what had happened before she had left, Gideon still though he wasn't high on the friend list in comparison with the girls. Well at least Violet...after what he had seen and heard about the opening feast, Selina might be in an ackward place.

She paused and then nodded. "Yep. You better your Scottish bum I did." She said with a chuckle. "I know it's weird to think that me, out of all people, would actually miss you so if I'm making you feel uncomfortable, but..." She looked own and grabbed Gideon's hand and she looked at his hand and then looked back up at Gideon. "But yeah...I missed you Gideon." Oh Merlin what was Elektra doing. Well...like she cared what she was doing right now, but she honestly didn't care. Selina had pushed her and now...it was time for Elektra to have her fun.

Normally Oliver would dress a little more smartly when taking a woman out. But since this was not-a-date then he was going with something practical and warm.

He would also normally have a little gift for the woman as well. But this was not-a-date so he didn't feel obliged to give one.

It had been years since he had been to Hogsmeade. It would be good to look around the place again. He placed his hands in pockets and rocked back on heels while he waited for his not-a-date to arrive.

Althea was not one to be late, and she too had chosen not to wear anything particularly out of the ordinary. What? It was normal for her to be put together. She didn't need a not-a-date as an excuse to take pride in her appearance.

The charms professor certainly wasn't late, she was in fact almost precisely on time. She walked smartly up the path, her heels clicking on the stone muted slightly by fallen leaves. She saw Oliver waiting and lifted her hand in a pleased little wave when she still had half the distance to close. A moment later she was at the gate, with a small smile.

"Oliver. I do hope you haven't been waiting long."

The sound of heels on the path caused Oliver to look up and he returned Thea's wave and a smile of his own spread across his lips. Not for one second did he think she would be late which was why he had arrived early. "Only a couple of minutes." Well ten to be exact but she didn't need to know that.

His gaze took her in and he grinned. "You look lovely as always." Oliver was pretty sure that she would look good in a garbage bag, but he was pretty sure that Thea would never wear anything that could be considered dowdy.

Holding out his arm towards her, he inclined his head towards the path out of the school. "Shall we?"

"So you won't need warming up any time soon." Althea answered lightly, sliding her own hands deep into her coat pockets. It was chilly but nothing a hot drink wouldn't fix once they arrived at the village.

She was actually rather gracious about the compliment, taking it for what it was rather than reading into it in any way. He probably didn't have ulterior motives. Oliver Jenkins was a nice man, she had decided, unlike certain others. "Thank you." A small smile was the only indication that she gave to suggest that she returned the sentiment. It just wasn't something she would SAY.

She took Olly's arm and nodded. "Mmmhmm. Lets." Althea let him lead the way.

You bet your Scottish bum

That was a new one or at least an expression Gideon wasn't expecting, especially from Elektra and he found himself echoing her laughter. And no...he wasn't uncomfortable...was he supposed to be?

Maybe the older boy had asked that question too soon, the fifth year listening to her continue and trying to explain herself. He did unconsciously swallow as she repeated that she had missed him, taking his hand in her own. Okay maybe feeling a little weird now. Gideon didn't know what to say for he wasn't sure how much he himself had missed her. "Well ye were missed too."

There...innocent and partly true.

"Well good to know I came back for a good reason then." She bit her bottom lip gently as she she looked away from Gideon and looked down at his hand and then she let go of his hand and she chuckled. "Sorry. Forgot that you are still with Selina. I shouldn't have done that." She said putting her hands behind her back and then looked back up at him giving an innocent, soft smile. "You know what has been on my mind? I wonder what would have happened last year if I was still here. What if I didn't leave after kissing you. What if..." she trailed off. he knew if she mentioned the thought of Elektra and Gideon even being together was possible, things might get a bit...well...'awkward turtle' if you want to call it that. Elektra softly shook her head and turned away. "It's a silly thought to even think of now." She said softly.
