Cardigan walked towards the Forbidden Forrest,slightly freaked out.What if there was something scary in there?What if it would hurt her?What if it was mean?What if?What if?She kept walking untill she reached the edge of the forest,not even close to being ready to go in.It was rather creepy,believe it or believe it!She couldn't help but scan the area,checking to see if any of her friends just happened to be there.And just her luck,one was!Glenn Reyes,the 2nd year puff! She went over to Glenn with a light trod,leaving barely noticeable foot imprints. "Hullo Glenn,"Cardigan said with a shaky grin,trying to appear happy but doing so unsuccessfully.This forest gave her the creepers!

Glenn had heard the crack of twigs as someone had came near her, she had assumed it was the invisible thing and stood trembling as it came nearer. She jumped when Cardigan spoke, expected something more sinister.

She turned suddenly, almost loosing her footing, "Hey Cardigan!" Glenn said falsely bright, her eyes flickering in between where she had last seem the invisible thing and the black unicorn. She didn't like that invisible thing, not at all.

This forest wasn't like the one at home. The one at home was bright and friendly and teeming with friendly creatures in the thick branches. Her forest had a gigantic tree-house her dad had made and usually her brother exploring it with her. Her forest was always bright even at night it seemed light with the filtered moonlight seeping through the green leaved branches. Here. It was dark, and not to mention cold.

"Nice to meet you Hades," Jezz said all the while thinking that it seemed to be the perfect name for someone in Slytherin. At least he wasn't those Gryffinphobic ones. She didn't like people who didn't like her just because she was in Gryffindor.

That Gryffindor girl sure had guts, she was talking to Prefect Zabini-Riddle with confidence. Why didn't she had that? All she did was nod, implying that she agreed with the younger lioness.

Oh? So that's why she couldn't see the thestrals! She wasn't there to witness the death of her sister and father. She just saw them afterwards. She wasn't personally present on the scene. Now, was that a good thing? Beezus frowned, and then it hit her. Daichi and Jezabel were the only ones who could see the thestral. That meant they saw someone die once. She turned to Daichi, "Errmm..who died?" If he won't mind, she'd like to know.

Then amidst the chaos they were having, Hades managed to introduce himself to the Gryffindor girl? "Oh! And I'm Beezus," the young eaglette said, following Hades' lead, she reached the girl's hand. And they were not talking about deaths? She didn't like the sound of that. However, Hades seemed to know more than just death but also about the thestrals itself. "So.." Beezus chirped as she tried to catch his attention. "why is that unicorn black?" Well..it seemed like no one had noticed her query earlier and that wasn't a rhetorical question. She needed an answer.

The thestral was becoming increasing uneasy with everything that was happening. So uneasy in fact, that he couldn't just stand there anymore. Pawing at the soft dirt, ears pinned back and nostrils flaring, he eyed the unicon and the little humans with his milky white eyes. Raising and extending his leathery wings, the thestral attemted to make his skeletal frame look bigger and scarier.

Daichi listened to Jezz and Hades explaination on what a thestral was. And to the completely confused Beezus, who..like himself had no clue what was going on.

"So.. because i saw..you know, i am the only one that can see the creature?" he asked to be sure. They weren't playing with him right? Turning back to the Slytherin Prefect, Daichi heard here words about pygmy puffs being cuter than ducks. "No way! Ducks are waaay cuter" He thought the Prefect was strange but on the other side, he did like her company for it distracted him about the whole thestral death talk....

Until Beezus brought it up again. This time, he turned his attention towards the Ravenclaw before looking down. "Uhm... i don't really like talking about ...it" he muttered as he felt his cheeks flaming. And it was the truth. No one knew about his past except one person and he had vowed not to tell anyone. (not an unbreakable vow)

But then he saw the Thestral at the edge of the forest move. He knew the others couldn't see it so he broke in between their conversations. "Uhm guys... that Tristol..threistal...is looking straight at us" he said, looking straight in to those white eyes and unconsiously did a step backwards. "and is raising it's wings..." The creature looked bigger than before. Not to mention...scarier....

"Do...those creatures attack people?"

Jezz smiled at the Ravenclaw and too the offered hand, "Jezzabelle but you can call me Jezz if you prefer." Such a weird way to meet people. Standing on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. She looked back at the unicorn. "Black, white, or pink. It's still really pretty."

She looked at Daichi and shrugged, "I don't think they attack humans, it's not like they're Hippogriffs." Of course she had no fear to be felt by a creature she couldn't see. "But they like the taste of raw meat." Hmmm maybe it was hungry. If only she could see it.

She looked back up at the castle and sighed, "Maybe we should go though...just in case." She didn't want to freak anyone out but she was a first year after all and well....if Thestrals did attack people, she'd like to live to see her seventh year.

Selena was jumping up and down now. Well. Just bouncing. Because no one seemed to LISTEN. What was with these people?! She should've brought Clarke, she was pretty sure CLARKE would've done something about it! Her cruppy could bark at them till they left.

She frowned and pointed at the Gryffie girl who spoke. "HEY. YOU. Don't disrespect your future ruler of the UNIVERSE!" Selena stuck her tongue out at her and let out a little hmph. BAD Gryffie girl. VERY. VERY. Bad. Selena didn't like her. Hmph. And the Slythie talked. "AND YOU! I know you! You're a Slytherin! Do you want to lose the house cup?! OR. Get detention?!" Or suspended. Yea. Selena didn't exactly fancy any of those.

But reaaaalllly?! Selena hugged her pygmy puff, determined to MAKE A STAND. Yup.

Why were MORE people coming?! Did they not see that Selena Vivianne Zabini-Riddle the AWESOMETASTICAL was trying to handle this currently insane beyond belief situation?! Were they insane?! "Noooo. Stay awaaaaay! Back to castle we all goooo!" Selena exclaimed, frowning and still jumping up and down. All she had wanted was a waaaaallllllk. Not to go all PREFECT-y on them. She wondered if that was a type of martial arts. Prefect-fu. Yup. Definitely.

Selena only stopped bouncing because the duck boy had started to speak and stopped for a moment. "I have a penguin hat. I think penguins are cuter," Selena said after stopping and thinking for a moment. Definitely penguins. They were birds who FLEW. On the ground. JUST LIKE SEL.

WAIT. She was getting off topic now wasn't she? Hearing the question about the thestrals eating people Selena smirked at looked at the horribly RUDE GryffindorK. Yes. There was a reason she didn't like most of them - Selena saw that now. Might as welll SCARE them all into leaving right?

"Well, thestrals do have a rather fond liking for human meat. Especially for those of Gryffindors. I heard that once a student went into the forest and a thestral ate the girl. When the professor found the gryffindor, only her BONES were left. So I say, we all LEAAAVEEEEE."

Or Sel would push the gryffindorK towards the Thestral that was APPARENTLY there. Hmph. Selena Zabini-Riddle was no fool. There was ONLY
a unicorn here. Yup. Silly students. "Soooo! Let's go back and head to the kitchens and EAT! Chocolate." Because that was OBVIOUSLY more important that trying to get killed.

Jezz huffed and just stared at the Slytherin girl like she was...well nuts. Yes, absolutely positively crazy. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes and tell her exactly what she thought about Slytherins like her. The funny part was Jezz never had problems with people from other houses....until now.

Well there went her try at remain silent. She smirked, "Oh, so you think that just because I'm a first year and just because I'm a Gryffindor I'm gong to fall for something as ridiculous as that." Okay. She was a Gryffindor not a Hufflepuff. She didn't scare so easily. However, this was getting kind of boring and she didn't want to stay and watch the unicorn anymore.

Turning on her heels she made her way back to the safer part of the grounds. "I'll see some of you later," she said, "and I hope to never see some of you again," in a quiet voice referring to the crazy one. And with those last words she was gone.

Amelia had seen people head into the forest and even though students were generally not supposed to go in there, she wanted to know what was going on. Maybe it was something important.

She edged closer and closer, and the closer she got the more curious she became. She needed to know what all these people were looking at. But she also noticed that there was a weird presence here... one she couldn't see.

But then... "Oh my God, it's a Unicorn!" She squealed a little.

Ryan looked around hearing the other students saying they couldn't see it.He walked up to a boy saying he could see it and said''Wait please tell me I'm not the only one that can see that Threst thing.''He said hoping he wasn't.It was some Threstral thing wasn't it.

William came jogging over to the forest as soon as he could, huffing and puffing more out of anger than anything. He paused at front of the group of students and exhaled noisily, turning around to glare daggers at them all. No, he did not particularly notice any of the fantastic creatures just behind him; right now, his focus was on the smattering of RULE BREAKERS in front of him.

"WHAT is the MEANING OF THIS?" the Care of Magical Creatures professor bellowed, throwing out his (still bloody) hands and gesturing wildly at them all. "Shoo! Shoo! All of you! Shouldn't you be eating dinner or doing homework or SOMETHING OTHER than BREAKING RULES?!!"

Had he known there was a thestral AND a unicorn just behind him, he MIGHT have been a liiiiiiiiiiitttttle quieter...

Keeping her distance from Professor Williamson, who looked like one of the swellings on a bubotuber plant about ready to burst, Kurumi followed the man to the front gate and FROZE, but not because of the students that were there. While the thestral was invisible to the Gryffindor, the unicorn certainly wasn't and Kurumi's eyes got that sparkly "OHMYGOSH" glazed look over them.

But then, Professor Williamson brought reality crashing back down when he started shouting at all the students. NOOOOOOOOoo! THE UNICORN WAS GOING TO RUN AAAAAAAWAY!!!

"P-Professor," Kurumi squeaked, pointing towards the forest. "There....there is...there is a black unicorn in there..."

Black? Kurumi thought that they were white...Or, perhaps this unicorn was a really confused thestral that had somehow become visible to people and was trying to disguise itself? Yep. That must be it!

Vashti followed Kurumi and Professor Williamson to the Forbidden Forest, eyeing all the students that were there and hoping that there were no Ravenclaws among them in case points were taken. As she looked around at the group, she also happened to look into the forest - what were the students looking at anyway? - and noticed the thestral - no surprise there considering they had just watched it walk in this direction from the front gate - and...a black unicorn?

Was that a unicorn? It had a horn, but unicorns were white, weren't they? Then again, she wouldn't really know since she didn't really study much about magical creatures. Maybe there were black unicorns for all she knew.

But perhaps she should focus on the fact that Professor Williamson was shouting when only a few minutes ago, he had wanted them to be quiet and calm around the thestral. Kurumi had already warned him about the unicorn...

"Professor," Vashti added softly, casting a glance towards the angry- and intimidating-looking thestral, "don't forget about the thestral..." She really didn't want it to attack now, not when she had thought they were done dealing with it.

Selena dropped Kent as she jumped involuntarily. The purple pygmy puff landed on the floor and Selena turned sloooooowwwwwlllllly to see the professor there... absolutely mad. Selena wondered if the professor was going to shove them all in the dungeons - not that Selena would mind HORRIBLY since... y'know, the Slytherin common room was in the dungeons but that did not mean she wanted to... die.

Picking up the pygmy puff from the floor, Selena patted off any dust. "Haaaaiiiiiiiiiiii Professor!" Selena offered cheerfully. Y'know, maybe the professor wouldn't penalize her for trying to help... before... and kinda getting distracted. There was a unicorn after all. So... What was the meaning of this? How did Selena answer these questions?

"Weeeellll!!! I was taking a walk with Kent," Selena started holding up the pygmy puff for the professor to see. "Then I saw students here so as a prefect I thought I'd tell them to y'know... be good and leave? But then there was an awesompictastic unicorn, so I got distracted. I named him Corny," Selena said, pointing at the unicorn there.

Oh wait. Selena was missing something. "According to the boy who thinks ducks are cute, there's a Tristol here too."

Apparently. Whatever a tristol was.

"But the others also say there's a thestral." Which made a loooot more sense to Selena. Selena looked at the two people WITH the professor. "HAI Kurumi and Owl Girl!" Selena added brightly as she waved hello to the two. She was also sure that if Kent had hands, he would be waving too. But he didn't. Not really at least - Kent was just a pygmy puff after all. Right. She was kinda being yelled at now, maybe she shouldn't start screaming hellos... may- nah. Everyone liked HAPPY greetings.

Merlin, they were conversing as if everything was just fine. It seemed like they don't bother thinking about what would happen if a Professor would came butting in there. The Slytherin female Prefect started telling them to go, saying that the Forbidden Forest was Forbidden for a reason. And she was right. Beezus knew they would be candidates for detention if they don't go now. But oh..the black unicorn! That animal really ignited her curiosity.

'Shut Beezus! Save the curiosity. You have to go now before someone sees you', she thought mentally. And she was aware that it was the correct thing to do. Pivoting, she was about to head back to the castle without saying anything when...

Beezus gasped. It was..It was.....yes, t'was Professor Williamson! And he looked mad. Verrryyyyy mad. Upon instinct, she hid behind the Slytherin female Prefect when she saw two other Prefect approaching. Kurumi and Vashti.

Oh, she was in so much trouble really.

As the Prefect who was earlier with them, started talking, the young eaglette took a peek at the new arrivals. She needed to add fuel to the Prefect's fire of distraction. "Haiiii Professor," Beezus greeted silently. "Kurumi," she gave a small nod to the Gryffindor Prefect, "V-v-vashti.." She stuttered without even looking at their own Head Girl.

"Errrmmm..Professor, we we're just looking." she said in a hushed voice. "Curiosity got the better of us. I mean...they say there was a thestral and there's actually a black unicorn too." And once more, she would ask the question she had been asking repeatedly. "Are there even black unicorns?"

Daichi thought the Slytherin Prefect was right. They needed to get out of here before someone showed up. And the fact that the creatures apparently liked human flesh...it was all the more reason to go...

"She's right..let's g--"

Before he could even finish his sentence his face PALED at the sight of not only Professor Williamson BUT also Kurumi and the Ravenclaw Headgirl coming their way...and..the Professor looked mad, scary..mad. He completely forgot about the creatures behind him as he flinched at the shouting. He looked at Beezus who was hiding behind the Slytherin Prefect and he gulped.

"P-professor!" he stuttered. "We..we..we didn't plan in going to the forest, honest!" he held his hands up, showing that his fingers weren't crossed. "But that..that black unicorn caught our.uhm...attention and ...." he bit his lip , wondering if he should say this, but then again...why not? "A-and i saw a Tristol..threstol ...that black creature with s-skeleton body and wings!" He looked back at the two horses.

"Honest! we didn't intend on b-breaking the rules..we were just..curious and.."

"IS THAT BLOOD!?" okay NOW Daichi got even more nervous, why had the man blood on his hands?!
Looking away from the hands to the Slytherin Prefect as she spoke, Daichi couldn't help but puff his cheeks a little bit. "I don't THINK ducks are cute... they ARE cute!"

Hades gave Beezus a death glare when she asked THAT question to Daichi. Merlin! Did this girl has any respect for the deads at all? Suddenly, he felt uneasy and turned back to the space where the thestral was supposed to be (according to Daichi).

Because he was too overwhelmed, Hades didn't notice the colour of the unicorn earlier. Only after the kids mentioned it again that he realised. It wasn't clear whether it was fear or excitement that led Hades to have his wand ready in his hand. Black unicorn... Never in his life he ever had- Neither did Vulcan say anything about it! "Professor!" he looked pleased rather than afraid upon the sight of a professor who just caught them in Forbidden Forest. "Black- Unicorn-" he stuttered, gesturing his eyes to the direction.

The Unicorn was a little overwhelmed from all the high pitched voices from the children around it. It stared at them with its dark black eyes trying to figure out what they were saying. It tilted its head slightly to the side and wrinkled its nose at them as they spoke.




And then someone hurried frantically towards them. The Unicorn fought all of its urges to run away from the hurried man, especially when he began flailing his arms around like a bird. The Unicorn's shook his head back and forth quickly...his shining black mane flowing around his head.

He slowly walked towards the strange man's back and sniffed the middle of the back. The man smelled odd...like dirt and earth...and blood. The Unicorn quickly sniffed outward in almost a small sneeze covering the man's back with a thin mist of snot.

Riiiiiiight. Sure there was a thestral AND a BLACK unicorn right behind him. Suuuuuuuuure there was, sure sure. Williamson just rolled his eyes at all the kiddos talking at him at once and crossed his arms.

"Yeah, I got blood on my hands from feeding the REAL thestral that was out at the gate," William answer Daichi's question. "He's probably long gone into the forest now, back to his home, so what's it to ya----"

He turned around slowly, his hands falling to his sides with palms out as he faced whatever it was. And boy was he in for a surprise. William's eyeballs just about popped clean out of their sockets at the sight of a BLACK UNICORN righthere in his face. The horn was inches from his nose and he... had no idea how to react.

"Hhhhhhi," the Care of Magical Creatures professor stuttered, for once caught off guard when faced with a real, live magical creature. "We were just leaving, Mr. Unicorn, so sorry to encroach on your territory...."

He took a nervous step back toward the kids and glanced over his shoulder, giving them all a sweeping glare that clearly said SCATTER, NOW, BEFORE I SCATTER YOU ALL WITH MY BLOODY HANDS.

It was clear that the Professor did not believe them. Even when ALL of them were speaking the truth. Daichi felt like he was in a classic * the-students-are-younger-so-therefore-not-right* situation and couldn't help but looking a little annoyed when he saw Williamson roll his eyes.

His annoyance turned in to a shocked expression when he heard the next thing. He'd just feed a REAL thestral?! But...but didn't that Slytherin Prefect just told them that Threstals eat HUMAN FLESH?! O___o "You were just feeding a HUMAN to that creature?!" he half shouted, clearly the man was...not normal. He could already read minds , Daichi believed.. And now this?!

But before he could say more, he saw that from behind the Professor that the Unicorn came closer. His mouth dropped a little as he looked at the black beauty and then...he heard a sneeze. A very LOUD sneeze.

The Slytherin made a ewww face. He couldn't see what had happened but judging on the look of Williamson, the sneeze just now and his imagination..it was...ewww! But also funny now he thought about it... A Professor being sneezed on by a Unicorn. The first chuckle came out before he knew it. Daichi had to bit his lip as he tried not to laugh but failed. He laughed his usual , high pitched laugh and had to grab his side from the laughter.

He had wanted to laugh longer...if it wasn't for the glare the man gave them. Ehm..right...this was his cue. Another chuckle escaped as he quickly turned around towards the castle.

Selena sighed, looking at Duck Boy with a frown. No. Pygmy puffs were cuter. Then penguins. Then pandas. Then cruppys. Then maaayyyybeeee ducks. But definitely pygmy puffs - who didn't like huge balls of FLUFF?! Insane p-

Hearing the sneeze, Selena looked at the black unicorn. Who had just sneezed. "Bless you, Corny," Selena said, smiling at the creature, and waving at it before she looked at the professor. With his hands. Covered in blood. Then she looked at Duck Boy freaking out. And Selena really couldn't help but start to giggle uncontrollably as the professor reacted to the snooooot dripping down his back. Hehe... professor covered in snot. That didn't happen everyday.

And while laughing, she completely missed his evil glare to get rid of them all. Nope, Selena was so going to continue to laugh - it wasn't healthy to run and laugh at the same time, her sides would explode from that. "Professor, maybe you should as Professor Lafay if she needs unicorn snot for any future potions," Selena said between giggles as she looked at the unicorn. She wanted to HUG Corny. That wouldn't be a problem right? All she would need was permission from the professor then she'd be able to hug the unicorn... and possibly ride it around the school grounds? Selena was sure Corny wouldn't mind.

"Heeey! Professor, can I ride Corny?" Selena asked, bouncing up and down. Because it seemed like an awful lot of fun.

Hades couldn't help but to notice the blood all over the elder man's hand. The boy wondered if he handfed the thestral. If he did, he might be out of his mind. Even Vulcan didn't dare to handfeed them. That bloody coward of a werewolf would just toss it on the ground.

As the blue eyes followed the black unicorn going around Williamson, the fourth year stiffened merely out of excitement. Hades startled as the creature sneezed, then had a disgusted look on his face when Williamson's back was covered by snots. "Eeeewww!!!" said the blonde as he took a few steps back. He was just about to say, "You're going to need a long ba-" but stopped before he could finish when the strange professor glared at them. "...We'll be heading back to the castle now," Hades nodded vigorously before he dashed towards the castle. Thank Merlin he had a good stamina!

Tayla was out on the grounds getting ready to work on her Astronomy homework when to her surprise, she noticed a bunch of people at the edge of The Forbidden Forest. Curiosity getting the best of her, she decided to check it out from a safe distance.

"Oh wow...a black unicorn!" she said softly but excitedly to herself. It was very near Professor Williamson. Wait...was this a Care of Magical Creatures lesson? Then noticing the professor's expression as he glanced over his shoulder, she realized it probably wasn't.

She took one last glance at the unicorn. "I wish we could have a lesson there someday..." she thought to herself. It wouldn't be as dangerous with the professor around, right? Then she turned away and walked back towards the castle grounds to work on her assignment. She didn't want to get in trouble.

Good, most of the students were getting the message. Except, apparently, the Slytherins. Leave it to his own House to think they were too good to follow directions.

"NO!" Williamson answered Selena, taking a menacing step toward her and making a shooing motion again with his hands. Small flecks of blood flew off his hands and landed quite possibly ON the prefect. "No, you may NOT ride the unicorn! You may NOT pet it! You may NOT talk to it or hang around it or STAY in the FORBIDDEN FOREST."

It was forbidden for a REASON, people, hello!

As for Daichi's question... "It was steak. Cow and dragon meat, Daichi, not human." He gave the boy a glare until he too turned and headed up to the castle.

All right then, everyone except Selena seemed to be getting the message. "Come on, Prefect," Williamson growled, grabbing the girl by the wrist and starting to drag her up to the castle. "I am delivering you to the dungeons." Either her common room or her Head of House's office, she could choose that by her level of cooperation.
