Cousin how to dance?? Ashton stiffled a laugh and stuffed his hand in his pocket. Instead a half grin spread across his face and he nodded but after a few seconds he couldnt help but add, "Oh, partying with your cousin are you? Hmmm.." He let the question drift off. It could be taken in all sorts of ways.

Then she smiled and introduced herself. "Umm.. Ashton." He said absentmindedly. "And no not Ash. Im way hotter than Ash." He added with a wink.

Maxwell stopped playing his Pan Flute. His lips feeling dry and his throat to match. "Hello, I'm Maxwell." He didn't care for being called Max and hoped this boy wouldn't do so. He watched Taylor introduce herself and tried to figure out whether she was just too friendly or if he was just too much of the opposite toward strangers.

"Yeah we have some family parties, is that problem?" She raised an eyebrow. "Pleasure meeting you Ashton." Taylor gave a half smile. She reached inside her bag and got out a bottle of pumpkin juice. She handed it out to Maxwell, "Need something to drink? You was amazing at the panflute." Tay smiled sweetly at him, "Thank you for playing it." She kissed his cheek.

Damon sighed, "Can't say I'm not trying though." He shook his head, "I am trying to learn at least." He smiled when someone else joined them, "Hello, Damon, or preferably Ash." He gave a look of thanks towards Maxwell for slowing the speed down, it did help, quite a bit. And there she goes using that word again... cousin. Ugh.

Ashton saw the little kiss on the cheek and couldnt help but smirk. So these two were dating? Cute. He did a slow clap. 'Yes Maxie, very good. Play us something else?" He said teasingly. His face showed it all. You could tell he thought he was superior. Maybe it was because of the House, maybe it was because he was Ashton and just had a big head.

Ashton had been walking slowly towards the group while hehad been talking. Finding a tree he leaned against it and crossed his arms. "So what years are you mates?" He wasnt interested of course but better to know the year. It could always come in handy.

To Damon, she smiled, "You are learning really fast. I was just teasing you. You were doing a good job." To Ashton, "What is your problem?" She was clearly not happy at how he was treating them. "It doesnt matter what our years are." Tay was frowning at the boy.

Maxwell smiled at the kiss on the cheek. "Thank you." He said smiling and drank the pumpkin juice gratefully.

Maxwell sent a nod back at Damon almost to say, 'I see a common enemy, we don't need to fight among us now.'

Maxwell was slightly angered by the way this boy had approached them, but he was livid when he called him 'Maxie'. "No, i don't think i will." He said with his eyes flashing red, showing his anger. "And it's Maxwell Not 'Maxie'".

Damon looked at Taylor, Poor guy, guess he's going to have to learn the hard way, just like I did. He stifled a chuckle and smiled at this Ashton, "Forth year..." He tried to cover his Hufflepuff emblem again, he hated the cursed house... He shouldn't have been in there, the sorting hat must have known who's son he was and was out for revenge. He was sure of it. Stopping his rambling thoughts he looked at Taylor, "I'm good?" He raised an eyebrow, "Stepping on your skirts is a good thing?" He laughed.

It doesnt matter what years we are Shame shame shame. They had soooo much to learn. Laughing whole heartedly, he shook his head. "Must be young then... hmm..." He looked each of them over. Second years probably. With the exception of that Damon kid. He looked a bit older. A 3rd year like him maybe? Or even a 4th year. Ohhh 4th years. How scary. He mae a point to roll his eyes. "Im guessing second years." He said nodding, his half smile plastered on his face.

He turned to look at Maxwell. Reminded him of Maxwell coffee. Or Maxie Pads. Those things women used. Sometimes they were good for clogged noses....... or so he heard. "Oh right, Sorry Maxie pad. My bad." he said, waving the boy off. "I thought you were playing youre flute? Panflute? Padflute. Ha! maxie Pad flute."

Tay smiled at MAxwell, "I figure i might carry a drink for you in case you play." She laughed. To Damon, "Yes you are good, and you only stepped on them because it was fast paced." To Ashton, "Yes we are second years, why do you care?" She glared at him. How dare he have the nerve to treat them like this.

Maxwell's eyes now blood red. "Get out of here before i make you sorry for ever speaking to me." He said more angry than he had ever been. He didn't care it Taylor found it disgraceful or ill mannered, this was about him. He clenched his hand in a fist, he knew better than to use Magic against an older boy. He couldn't win.

Max walked up and saw Damon and Taylor... and the other Maxwell. And two other boys he didn't know. He ran up and tried to startled Damon, by jump on his back, "Hey Ash!

Damon sighed, feeling somewhat bad for the guy; but kept quiet until he was pushed to the ground by someone... Once he heard the voice he sighed, pushing Max off of him, "Hey Max..." He sighed standing back up, "Remind me why I'm your friend again? This is the 50th time you've done this to me..."

Cracking up laughing, Ashton settled against the tree some more watching the red grow deeper in the Maxie pad boys eyes and the glare that the second year girl gave him. Sighing, he walked toward them and rolled his eyes. "Can't take a joke?" he asked with his half smile. Running a hand through his hair he stopped infront of Maxie Pad and bent down til he was squatting in front of the small boy. "I wouldnt threaten me like that if I were you." he said in a hushed whisper, barely loud enough for the boy to hear. It was a fair warning.

Standing back up, he never let the smile fall off his face. He went back to the tree and crossed his arms. A new comer had joined the little ickle group of students. Ashton surveryed him. Poor kid. Smirking, he didnt say anything but leaning against the tree. Watching them. Oooh Drama. The Damon kid apparently didnt like Maxie Pad. This could get could. The smug look was plastered on Ashtons face once more. He wiggled his eyebrows at maxie Pad as he tuned in to listen.

Tay noticed that Maxwell was angry. To the newcomer, "Hey Max." Taylor smiled and laughed. To the annoying stranger, "No i can take a joke, but not from a snob like you." She flipped her hair.

"Well, jokes have to be funny. Everyone knows that except idiots like you." He said after Ashton had gone back to his tree he said "Leave, I don't want to fight you but if you continue to insult me and my friends, we will have to. Whether they help me or not, i'm not afraid of you." Maxwell said in all honesty, he wasn't afraid of a real fight. He knew Slytherin's fought dirty, but he fought smart.

Max pushed himself off the ground, sighing, then smiled at Damon, "Because I'm dating your stepsister and I'm about the only guy who ever talks to you Mr. Loner" Then he looked towards the two people he didn't know, "Hello, Maxwell Steel."

"And you drive me to the ground as a way to say hi constantly..." Damon sighed, ruffling Max's hair, "You're lucky... If it weren't for Lori, you'd probably be dead by now." He smirked.
He looked at Taylor and sighed, "And the gangs all here, except for Lori... Obviously because she doesn't go here anymore." He shook his head.

Oh man. Hair Flipper. Oh man. Loner bad boy. Ashton was so scared. Laughing he looked at the two and shook his head and waved his hands jokingly in front of him. "Oh nooo! Dont get mad now! Getting serious just takes the fun outta everything!" Sighing, the smile never leaving his face, he stepped away from the tree. "Maxie Pad, Hair Flipper. Good day." And to quote a muggle show he happened to see one odd afternoon.... a story left for another time... "I said good day!" Dang. He just couldnt have any fun without someone overreacting. Shame. He coulda had real fun with maxie Pad here. Even is eyes were blood red... BLOOD red... *insert joke here*

Nodding that Jump on backs guy and Damon, who disappointed him with his non-dramatic moment, he started heading off in another direction.

Damon looked back at the strange boy, "I think someone's gone a little crazy." He laughed looking at Taylor.

Tay watched as the guy left then she wrapped her arms around MAxwell, "What was his problem?" She sighed and looked at DAmon and Max, "If you two are done flirting with each other want to play a game?" Taylor smirked. To Damon l, "YEah all the gang but Lor is here." She sighed. "I agree he seemed crazy."

Maxwell let his breathing slow and felt his eyes grow back to brown. "I'm just glad he left, one more fowl word and i would have broken his nose." he said to the group, it was obvious he was 100% serious.

Damon fought a chuckle, if Maxwell didn't like Ashton... Then he might want to get to know him a little better, though he'd have to learn fairly fast that sarcasim isn't the best way to make new friends, "Aw, now come on, he wasn't that bad... and even if he was, people change. Just look at Max, he use to think anyone that wasn't a pureblood was horrible. Now he's best friends with a half-breed and dating another." Damon laughed, then he looked at Taylor, "Yeah, sure." He bowed mockingly at her.

Tay looked at Damon and raised her eyebrow, "Are you mocking me mister?" She laughed and smile at him. "Yeah..... hey Max was i ever like that? Thinking Purbloods were the best?"

Maxwell was slightly annoyed at Damon giving him personality tips. "Well, you weren't the one he was prodding... But i see your point. Some people do change, But he was rude for no reason. He deserved a broken nose."
