Ella laughed, rolling her eyes at Logan. He was quite the comedian. "Not a problem." She said with a smile. "So how are things going since you've been back from break? Any new adventures or friends?"

Logan grinned and then looked at her thoughtfully. "Eh, nothing much. Boring boring...........same old....same old." he said shrugging.

"Me too," she said, nodding. "It'll be warm soon though! You can already feel the weather changing. I want to work in the garden when it does." she said excitedly. She was looking forward to being outside without a coat and mittens on.

"Yeah, that sounds awesome!" he said. That'd be cool to work in the garden. He smiled at the thought of the garden at his home. It was so large and fun to go around..when his aunt was out of course.

Daichi felt sad as he looked at the Ravenclaw girl. She clearly missed her mother. He sighed softly as he moved his body to sit indian style and listened as she told that it wasn't his fault and such. He knew it hadn't been his fault but still, it was something people said whenever something had happened , as if they were to blame.

He had heard her muttering that no one would get it. "I-i understand.." he muttered back and he couldn't believe he was going to tell a complete stranger his secret. Well, only Jonathan knew about it but that had been because he had been angry at him for teasing his stuffed duck back in his first year. And maybe it would be some sort of relief to talk about it with someone who knew how he was feeling. "I...i lost my m-mother in a fi"--

QUACK!

Looking up, Daichi smiled at the duck he tried to steal at the beginning of the term was now waddling its way over to them. There was something about these creatures that made him feel safe and everytime he saw them he would forget about the bad things "Squishy~!" he exclaimed in a high squealing voice that oh so like him. He turned his gaze to the girl and his smile broadened even more. "Yes you are! isn't it great?!" he asked excitedly , mistaken her expression of fear. But when she stumbled on her feet to get up he cocked his head to the side.

"What are you doing?" he asked, not getting up himself but only stared at the girl who was backing away from the CUTE ADORABLE SQUISHY duck!

Elise wiped her tears away, shuddering as she thought of what her father'd say if he saw her crying. Biting her lower lip, she shrugged. What happened had happened, no going back. Straining her ears to hear what he mumbled back, her eyes widened. "You did?" she asked.

And QUACK!

In an attempt to get away, she tripped over her shoelace which sent her falling flat onto her bottom. Wasn't that just great? Now the evil duck'll come and eat her. Picking herself up, she inched away every time the duck moved towards her.

"I'm trying to get away from the duck!" she exclaimed, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Ducks are evil. They bit Ellie when she was littler, and now she's just a little scared.

*Blink blink blink*

Daichi blinked at the younger girl as he only now got what her expression had meant. It had been fear but...she couldn't be afraid of a cute adorable little ducky right?

From his still seated position, the slytherin looked behind him with a frown and had to keep his laughter in as the Ravenclaw fell on her bottom. Biting his lip and letting out a soft giggle, Daichi stood up as well and decided to stand in between the duck and the girl.

He watched how the duck waddled closer to them and Daichi couldn't help squeal at the cuteness~! IT WAS JUST SO ADORABLE! His attention was brought back to the situation as the girl spoke, or rather snapped at him.

"Trying to...oh Merlin" he sighed and shook his head. "These duckies are harmless!" he tried to reason as he still stood in between the ADORABLE DUCKY and the weird Ravenclaw. It was better for her if he let the part out that this particular duck had ones attacked him but... that had only been out of self defence for he had tried to steal it and tried to take it to the dormitory~

Too bad those two Prefects came along, mweh.

Logan walked down to the Duck Pond, carrying a large picnic basket that contained many foods and sweets, a few gift boxes, some candles, and a large blanket. It was a beautiful day out, which was perfect for Valentines Day. He smiled at the sun, and then stopped at a nice spot near the shore of the pond. He set the basket down, and took the large blue blanket out and spread it across the green grass.

After smoothing out the wrinkles, he placed the picnic basket on top of the blanket and opened it, taking out a large gift box and placing it to the side of the blanket. He then began placing plates and silverware and such in another corner (he kept the food in the basket), and placed a bouquet of flowers in the middle of the blanket, putting a spell on it so it wouldn't fall over. He then levitated the candles around the blanket and smiled as he looked around at the setting. He then waited for Ella to come. He was so excited, and weirded out a bit because he never really liked Valentines Day...

Ella headed down to the duck pond in the new dress her mom had sent. She was nervous as she approached the pond, fidgeting with tights. Why had she decided to dress up? She felt like such a weirdo in a dress and she felt silly but she had wanted to look nice for Logan. She lifted the bag she was carrying, making sure none of its contents had fallen out on the walk. She had gotten Logan a nice gift not to mention some sweets for Candyman and she couldn't help but smile thinking about his reaction.

When she got to the pond she looked around, hand over her eyes as the sun was shining bright. Suddenly she saw him, seated on a blanket on the ground and it all just looked so lovely. She felt her cheeks heat up and touched her hand to one absent mindedly. How was it that she was already blushing? She walked over to the setup with a wide smile, feeling the familiar sensation of butterflies in her stomach. Why was she so nervous? It was Logan and it wasn't like they had never spent time together alone. What could go wrong? "H-Hi there." She said as she got to the blanket, plopping down next to Logan with a smile.

Logan saw Ella walking down towards him. He smiled. She looked very beautiful-as always. He smiled wider as she sat next to him, feeling his heart do that stupid skipping of beats. He made a mental note in his head to not act nervous or anything...well to try...

"Hey, Ella." he said, kissing her cheek. "You look amazing." he said, eyeing her dress. It was a nice dress, and she looked very good in it. Him, on the other hand, was just wearing that polo with slacks and converse. Sure, it was nice but he had hoped to look more...sharper or something. But he couldn't really afford all those fancy clothes...

Logan reached over for the gift he had gotten Ella and handed it over to her, smiling. "Happy Valentines Day!" he said with a warm smile. So far so good..no blushing or sweat palms, or any kind of nervousness...

Ella blushed even more when Logan told her she looked amazing. Now she was surely matching the color of her red dress. Great, real pretty... She looked at Logan and smiled. He looked so cute and much more comfortable than she was. Why didn't she just wear jeans or something? Oh well, nothing she could do about it now. "And you-you look really nice too." she said shyly. Why did she feel so shy all of the sudden?

Ella watched as Logan reached over and picked up a gift. She smiled, wondering what it could be. She took it gently in her hands, examining it. "Logan, you didn't have to..." she said, looking at him. "What is it?" she asked excitedly, nervous to open it up.

Logan noticed Ella blushing, but decided to pretend not to have seen it. He then blushed slightly at what she said. Ack. There wen't the stomach flips again. "Thanks." he said smiling at her.

Logan smiled as Ella picked up the gift. He laughed."Oh, you know I did." he said, waving a hand. "Go ahead, open it and see!!" Logan said smiling at her.

Ella looked at Logan and then back at the gift. She opened it and gasped, with wide eyes. "Logan this is...lovely." She felt that lovely wasn't a strong enough word but was too distracted by the contents of the bag to think of another one. First she took the sweets out, smiling at Logan. "Thanks Candyman!" she said with a chuckle. Next she spotted the teddy bear. She held it to her chest and squeezed. Then her eyes grew wide as she saw the jewelry. "Logan this-this is too much..." she said, holding the ring and necklace gently in the palm of her hand. She looked at him in awe, not really knowing what to say. Instead she kissed him. She held out the necklace to him and position herself so he could help her put it on. "I love them." she added softly. Her heart was pounding so hard now that she was sure even the ducks could hear it.

Logan now was pretty sure he wasn't blushing slightly, but blushing deeply. He smiled shyly. "I'm..." he cleared his throat, "glad you like it." he said. He hated when he randomly got sooo nervous whenever Ella said the simplest of things. He decided to shrug it off and try his hardest not to act nervous.

Logan laughed as she said 'thanks Candyman'. He grinned. "Anything for you, Gummy Girl." he said winking. Good, the nervousness was disappearing...he then smiled as she hugged the bear close to her chest. She was so...adorable. He shook his head and then waved a hand. "Oh...it..it's not that much, really.." he said, even though he knew he might of gone a bit too far with the gifts, but he didn't really care. What else was he going to do with all of that money Emmy had given to him? He didn't really enjoy shopping for himself. He never knew what to buy, and always wasted his money on stupid superhero collectibles...okaaay maybe they weren't that stupid

Logan's heart started hammering against his chest as Ella kissed him. He wondered if it would burst out anytime soon...which wouldn't really surprise him. He smiled and kissed her back, then took the necklace gingerly and moved behind her. "Can she hear me breathing?" he wondered in his head as he put the necklace on her.

Ella pushed her hair out of the way as Logan put the necklace on her. She felt dizzy at the close contact but tried not to show it. She smiled when the necklace was in place, running her hands along the chain gently with her fingers. She then looked at Logan with a wide smile. "So um how does it look?" She hoped it looked nice, especially since she'd probably never take it off. It was perfect and so was Logan.

Remembering that she had something for him, Ella crawled over to the canvas bag she had brought and reached inside. "I have something for you too..." she said, pulling out a red gift bag. She crawled back over to Logan with the bag, holding it out to him. She really hoped he liked it. "It isn't much but I thought you could...well just open it." she said nervously.

Logan watched as Ella ran her hands along the chain of the necklace. He smiled and moved in front of her to get a better look. "Wow...it looks...very good on you.." he whispered, looking at the necklace and then at Ella with a smile.

Logan watched as Ella crawled over to her back and pulled out a red bag. He smiled. "Thanks, Ella!" he said. He then chuckled. "Okay, I will..." he said opening it and taking out the paint set first. He opened it carefully as if it was the most precious thing in the world, and eyed it all over. "Ella...you...I..this is very...just...wow.." he said breathlessly. "Ella...thank you so much. I love it." he said, looking from the paint to her. He then placed it carefully next to him and then took out...yes...the jackpot! I mean candy! He grinned. "Ella, jellybeans...they're my favorite! And so are gummy bears!" he said laughing. "Thanks!" he said. Hopefully those wouldn't disappear by the end of the day...

Logan smiled and pulled Ella into a hug. Today was one of the best days ever! Yippee! He squeezed her tightly. "Thank you so much, Ella. I really love the gifts...but...you're the best gift I ever got." he whispered into her ear.

"No problem," Ella said quietly with a small smile. She watched anxiously as Logan opened his gift, waiting for his reaction. When he took the paint set out Ella looked down at her hands, hoping he would like it. His reaction was much better than anything she had imagined. "You do?" she asked, letting out a huge sigh of relief. "I'm so glad because I saw it and I thought immediately of you and you paint so brilliantly..." Ella stopped herself, smiling sheepishly. She was doing that nervous rambling thing again. "I'm just happy you like it." She finished. Then her face lit up as he found the candy. She knew without a doubt that he would like that. "Candy for the Candy man." she said with a giggle. "Gummy bears are my favorite too!" she added with a smile.

Ella felt her face grow hot again when Logan pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back, not able to contain the smile forming on her face. "You're welcome and thanks to you-" Wait...what had he said? 0__________0 Ella pulled back and looked at him, eyes wide. She smiled at him, realizing she felt the same. "Me too...I mean you are...you know what I mean." she said with a grin.

"Of course I do! It's great!" Logan replied, smiling widely. Then he blushed. "You really like the way I paint?" he asked, looking down at the ground and then slowly back up at her. "I er...well..thanks.." he said. He then nodded and laughed. "Ohh, YES! Candy for the Candyman!" he thought, giggling. Oh no not the giggling...oh well..."They are?" he asked. "Sweet! Well I guess Gummy Girl suits you perfectly." he said grinning.

"You're welcome." Logan said squeezing her again, and cocking his head as she pulled back and looked at him, her eyes wide. He then smiled as she smiled. "I am?" he asked, still smiling. "Thanks." he said. "Now, I have a little song I just learned on my guitar," he said, gesturing towards it, "and I wanted to play it for you." he said smiling. "Would you...er..like that?" he asked.

Ella nodded, "I really do." she said with a smile. Logan was a brilliant painter and should really pursue that if he wanted to. He could be famous someday! She smiled when he said gummy girl suited her. "My thoughts exactly!" she said with a giggle.

Now he was going to play her a song on his guitar? Ella was seriously not prepared for how adorable this Valentine's picnic was going to be. She smiled widely at him. "Yes, please do." Ella said, sitting back and tucking her legs comfortably beside her. She grabbed the teddy bear and held it close, her attention on Logan and his guitar.

Logan smiled. "Thanks!" he said. It felt nice to have someone say he was good at painting. He then smiled as she giggled.

"Okay...here goes...nothing." Logan said, pushing back all the nervousness away. He cleared his throat and said in his manly voice, "I dedicate this song, to the lovely Ella Bishop." he said, flashing a charming smile and trying not to laugh.

He cleared his throat and began strumming and singing,

Ella smiled at Logan, laughing at his dedication. She thoroughly enjoyed his manly-man voice. She watched as he began to play and as he sang, she felt herself start to blush. The song was sweet, one with a pretty melody. She tried to maintain eye contact with Logan while it went on but it was tough as it was weird having someone sing to you, especially when one of the parts said 'I love you.' When he finished, Ella stood and clapped, giving him a standing ovation. "That was just-it was incredible!" she said cheerfully. "I loved it." she said with a smile. "You're really good you know." she added, sitting down next to him again.

Once Logan was finished, he smiled as she stood and clapped. He blushed, and stood up as well and bowed deeply. "Thank you, thank you." he said grinning and blushing as she said it was incredible. He sat down again and smiled as she sat next to him. "I er...well..thanks! That's very nice of you to say.." he said blushing deeper. "So, you wanna start eating?" he asked, glancing at the basket and then back at Ella with a smile.

"You're welcome!" Ella said cheerfully, noting his blushing. She smiled when he mentioned eating. The food! How had she forgot about the food? She loved food...and eating! "Yes, lets!" She said happily. "Where did you get all this anyway?" she asked curiously.

"Okay." Logan said smiling as he moved the basket closer to them and opened it. He then grabbed to plates and began putting fruit, sandwhiches, chips, and of course CANDY on them. He handed one to Ella and then handed her a coke. He smiled. "Ohh I have my ways.." he said. Then he laughed. "Just kidding. I got most of this from the kitchen, and had Emmy owl me the cokes." he said, taking a sip of his coke.

Ella watched hungrily as Logan filled their plates. Everything looked so good and she was excited to stuff her face, ladylike or not. She took the plate and the coke with a smile. "Thanks, it lookes great." she said. She raised her eyebrows at him when he gave her a mysterious answer. "...your ways?" she said laughing. "I figured you went to the kitchens." She said with a smile. "And here's to Emmy for these." She said, raising her glass in the air and then taking a big sip.
