"So,what's your favorite food?"Cardigan asked Logan.Food.She loved food.Everything about it.The colors,the shapes,it's like learning without learning!But Herbology and Flying,they were okay.Yum yum.

"Hmm..." he said. "Hard to choose, I think I like macoroni and cheese!" he said chuckling. "And pizza." he said.

Wow,Cardigan thought as she rubbed her hands together as if an Octopus pizza would appear in her hands.......if there was such a thing.Then she'd be on a strict diet of octopus pizza!

Logan laughed and raised an eyebrow at her rubbing her hands together. "What's that about?" he asked, giving another laugh.

"Octopus pizza!A genius idea of course!"Cardigan said in response to Logan's question.It was like one of the only things she hadn't tried!And with Mac and cheese cheese!She'd have to remember that for when she went home for the summer time,when she could experiment with it or something so she didn't have to eat crappy parent food.It was disgusting.

"Cardigan....that is truly brilliant!" he said smiling. "We need to make that! You HAVE to come over sometime in the summer, and we can make it!" he said laughing. That would be F.U.N!

Laci found the duck pond, which only meant one thing. STAR PERFORMANCE TIME! She had her never ending pocket of peanuts ready and her wand as a conductor's stick handy as she taught the ducks how to stack themselves on one another. The ducks were about 5 high when Laci was jumping for joy and squealing, only 7 more and add a tricycle and they will be DONE!

"I know;I do,"Cardigan said with a smug smile.She had a tendency for thinking up wacko things.Partly because she was mental.When you're mental,you see things in a whole different way.When it comes to food,Who knows what you can come up with?!

Maybelle walked to the duck pond, looking at the beautiful water. And ducks. Ducks are cool. Just like Bow ties and Fezzes and Stetsons. She sat down and looked up at the clouds. Taking in the sunlight, she waited for Everett to arrive. They had been dismissed from the Start of Term Feast, so they decided to meet here, to finish their conversation. She, again, was wearing and playing with her "Kiss Me" necklace, because she liked the necklace.

Jez shook her head. "I don't know if they're okay. Pam got a note too, telling her the safe house isn't going to be safe for much longer. I sent a letter to my cousin and uncle telling them to go help. They're probably there by now." Lex and Kieran would be a help, but even they wouldn't be able to protect her siblings and Pam's parents from Team Wolf for much longer. She looked up at Jordan. "You'll probably be in danger too," she said quietly. "You helped us, and anyone who helps the Blacks is a target." She'd realised that long ago.

Vickers came around the duck pond, a couple of small zip lock bags in hand. In them were various bits of fruits and leafy veggies, nuts, cracked corn... basically a small portion of what he'd usually feed Dolly. Certainly she wouldnt mind sharing with a few avian friends?

... well so long as she stays in the Owlery and doesnt get to see that he was feeding birds without her.

He saw a couple of ducks waddling by and started to click his tongue, openign the bags carefully so as not to startle them. He took out the bits of seed and corn and sprinkled a few on the ground, backing up a bit as he went. He needed to gain their trust, he would understand if they were warry of him at first.

He glanced up was amazed at what he saw next. Was that a stack of ducks one on top of the other? "H-Hi Laci!" he greeted the red-head when he realized she was just standing there. With a batton? "Did you do that? H-How?" amazed he was but all the more curious.

Hm? Wha? Laci lowered her wand that was used as a conductor's stick and as the ducks followed where they were conducted.... They fell. All of them. "A voice?" Laci turned her head then saw the ducks that fell "Oh no! BACK UP BACK UP!" Laci ordered the ducks as she tossed a few peanuts in their direction. "Oh hello VinCENZO." Yes she still had to emphasize the end of the name. "Why, yes I did, it's quite simple though. Just lots of practice and LOTS of peanuts... Who knew ducks ate peanuts... Oh wait... EVERYONE loves peanuts." And if there was someone who didn't.... DONT TELL HER. "So how has school been for you?"

Everett had agreed to meet up with Maybelle after the hall had been cleared out before they could finish their conversation, even though the conversation had barely been started. Slightly absentmindedly as he thought about the possible ways their conversation could go, Everett walked out of the castle and started forth towards where the place they had agreed to meet was. The duck pond. Really he preferred this place for a conversation anyway. He liked ducks. And ponds. When he arrived at the duck pond, he looked for Maybelle, finally noticing her sitting. Sauntering over, he took a seat beside her. "Hey," Everett said, much like how he did when they had first started the conversation in the Great Hall.

Maybelle looked away from the clouds and smiled as Everett sat down beside her. "Hey, Ev." She greeted, smiling. "Having a good term so far?" She asked, looking back at the clouds. Then, she took a small rock and tossed it into the pond. It skipped a couple of times and she smiled, took another rock and tried again. This one went SPLASH, and sunk to the bottom. She instinctively touched her "Kiss Me" necklace, like she always did, even during the feast. Hopefully Everett didn't noticed.

"Yeah I suppose, I mean, it's barely in the term so not much has happened to make it particularly bad or anything." Everett replied, inwardly slapping his forehead. He was rambling. Which wasn't a good thing usually. So he moved on. "You?" He asked, now noticing what Maybelle was doing. The rock throwing into the pond was sort of... mesmerising. He had never really understood the point of it, but it was entertaining to watch because of the sound it made when it hit the water and the way it disturbed the water, making a cool effect.

Maybelle smiled as Everett had rambled. She found it cute. "Well, I stopped two first years from killing each other." She said, and smiled. Then, she tried to make another rock skip, but again, it only made a splash and fell to the bottom. Playing with her necklace, a disturbing thought approached her mind, what if her and Everett were together? How would she tell Jake? She would have to give back the necklace and bracelets...and that would break Jake's heart, and make Maybelle feel horrible. But she couldn't decide between Jake or Everett. "I've been learning how to play the guitar, I even bought one this summer." She said, trying to push the thoughts out of her mind.

Everett laughed, listening to her finish speaking before he spoke, "Awesome. So is my title of best guitar player in danger? I need to know before hand so I can stop anything happening to it." He said, watching as she tried to skip another rock that failed. "You do realise that you are meant to make them skip right?" He teased lightly, before grabbing a small rock and attempting a rock skip of his own, which he was proud to see skipped a few times before it stopped. He grinned at Maybelle. "Do you need some help to become close to my amazing rock skipping skills?" He asked jokingly.

Everett was avoiding thinking about what they were really there to discuss. He had no idea what his feelings were for anything at all relevant to romance at that point. He knew Maybelle liked him, and he knew that she had a boyfriend already. He didn't know whether he thought of her as a friend or something more yet. Everett tried to shake away those thoughts and just concentrated on what they were doing now.

Maybelle nudged Everett playfully. "Yes. I am going to pass you up on guitar skills." She said jokingly. "Then the title of best guitar player shall belong to me!" She said, looking all confident. "I'm trying, stupid rocks just keep going splash." She even made sound effects and hand motions, like an idiot. Then, she pouted. "That was mean." She said, wanting to have that much skill. "It's like you're cooler than James Bond!" Maybelle couldn't help but laugh at that. "Teach me how to skip rocks like a cool person?" She asked.

Maybelle looked at Everett, and then down at her necklace. She quickly unclasped it, and shoved the "Kiss Me" necklace into her pocket, and tried to only focus on this moment. Even though, it was going to become extremely awkward, because they were going to have to discuss what they really needed to discuss. The crush. Everett knew how Maybelle felt, but it never went on from that, and she wanted to know, so she could end her heartache. She looked right at Everett, all seriousness in her tone and face. "Everett, you know we are going to have to talk about the day at the Ice Cream Parlor, right?" She asked.

Justin turned back around when Harvey called him back. He was being very cavalier about the whole thing. " I know, but I gotta tell ya, Harv.....I've liked Minerva for a long time...And we are getting closer now. Ya know, since we found her. Something has drawn us to be closer. I don't know what it is, Mate, but I know we both feel something pulling us together. I never meant to hurt or betray anyone. Especially, you and Amethyst. I love you both like family. But don't worry...I'm not after her if that's what ya think. She and I have our own seperate issues to work through and that's why I broke things off with Ame. And I think that's why Min broke things off with you...She feels dirty and used. I was only trying to comfort her,Mate, I swear. It was one of those unexplicable things that happened. " said Justin as he sat down on the stones and threw a few into the lake.

"Oh really? That would hurt my feelings though," Everett said with a fake frown, before grinning again. "Well maybe if you were nicer to the rocks they wouldn't splash," He teased again, laughing as she did some weird hand movements and sounds. "And I am obviously cooler than James Bond. He couldn't come close to my awesomeness even if he had a light saber and was a Sith Lord. And yeah." He said laughing.

Everett noticed suddenly that the serious conversation had begun, as she started looking at him seriously and she pulled off the necklace he hadn't really paid any attention. Serious conversation. Right. He never liked those too much. "I know. So might as well get it out of the way now, right?" He said, sighing and looking away from her briefly to glance at the ducks in the lake. "So..."

Glenn was walking about the grounds when she spotted the pond.

DUCKS!!

The little badger let out a childish squeal and ran to the edge of the pond where the ducks were bathing. Nibbling some food that someone had chucked it. Bread perhaps.

She searched her pockets and found a chocolate frog. She unwrapped it and chucked it within reach of the ducks. They squabbled over it, one greedy one in particular gobbling up the whole body, the writhed as it was swallowed. Glenn almost felt sorry for the wee guy.

"Greedy guts," She murmured as the ducks started towards her. No doubt looking for more food.

"Yes really, but don't worry, maybe when I get the title, we can share it, be awesome together." Maybelle said, then stuck her tongue out at Everett. "I am nice to the rocks, it's not like I'm chucking them." Cuz that would be mean. She smiled, and shook her head. "Have I ever told you that you are kind of a nerd?" She asked, because he was. A cool one. A cool, cocky, nerd.

Right, serious time. Maybelle took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eyes. "Yeah, might as well." She said, "Otherwise, it will only linger in the air. Forever." She let the words linger for a bit before moving on. "So, you know that I like you, but there is some complications..." She didn't say his name, but hopefully Everett knew who she was talking about. "And there is the fact that I have no clue how you feel..." She said. "This is crazy, right? I mean, it's my final year, and you're only a Sixth year, and you're a Slytherin, and I'm a Hufflepuff." Maybelle was just making everything harder. "It couldn't work, could it?" She asked, her big brown eyes started filling with tears....tears of confusion. Her eyes widened as Maybelle looked at Everett, waiting for his response.

"Well as long as I still have some of the title I suppose it's alright," Everett said, poking his tongue out back at her. "Well clearly the rocks aren't seeing you being nice enough. Maybe it was because you insulted me by thinking you could be better at the guitar than me?" He said laughing. "No you haven't. I'm fine not being a nerd though. So don't call methat." Everett replied. He didn't want to be known as a nerd. The nerds never were that cool. If anyone was a nerd it was Everett's littlest brother who even though was only 1 year old seemed to enjoy watching Star Wars. A lot.

Everett stared back at her as she spoke, thinking carefully about what he was going to say. The last time he didn't think before he spoke his guitar was killed so this time he was going to do it right. Especially because her eyes were tearing up which wasn't ever a good sign. He had to tread carefully. "I don't think it's crazy necessarily. I mean, it's just a one year gap and house rivalries aren't that big a deal..." He said slowly, before moving on to the more difficult part. His feelings. "And, I don't really know how I feel about you. I like you, but I don't know if it's as a friend or more..." Everett said, biting his lip slightly as he tried to think.

Good, he understood what she meant and so she didn't feel the need to explain any further. It would have probably gotten really bad if she had to, because she didn't like talking about it, it was in the past and she hoped to keep it there. She looked at the ducks again and sort of smiled. She kind of wished her life was as easy as these ducks, all they had to do was swim around all day they had no worries at all, their life was just so easy. "I wish I could be a duck." she sort of mumbled to herself.

He got that right, because honestly no one did expect it but it was nice to surprise people. "I know I wouldn't, but I doubt I'd ever get that honor." She knew she had no chance at all, it was obvious that Lyssie would get the honor of being prefect, but Ness didn't mind she was just happy to even be at Hogwarts and as long as she had friends she knew she'd be fine. Prefect dust? Now Nessie was giggling that was funny, and she may have not known all the prefects but personally the ones she did know she thought were the best. "Is that what you'd call it Prefect dust?" she giggled at him.

Of all things he was laughing Could he not see how irritated she was already? She sort of glared at him. "It's not funny." she said stamping her foot in the water a little. "Girls are NOT complicated, were only confusing because you boys are the complicated one." she gave him a nod. Thats how it was not the other way around. "It is pathetic, because lets face who in their right mind would like someone like me?" she frowned a little as she realized how moody she had gotten in aonly a few seconds.

He chuckled awkwardly as she uttered his full name. He granted that was probably the few times he'd hear it without a stern come-here-because-you-did-something-wrong voice. "You know only my grandmother calls me by my full name." he shrugged and half grinned. It was true. Not even his uncle calls him that unless it was for legal identification.

Ducks ate peanuts? He shrugged. Ducks would eat anything actually. All the more reason why people should be careful with what to feed them. Contrary to popular practice, bread can be quite bad for the ducks specially with people feeding them nothing but. Too much carbs.

"I'm... feeling my way around." he said as he looked at the other students shyly. He really wasnt one for striking up conversation for the sake of it, and oftentimes he was very focused in classes and note taking he doesnt notice much of anything else. "How about you? How are you adjusting to life in Hogwarts? I could imagine it being very different from the Circus?"
