Logan blinked as he heard his name. He blushed and smiled shyly again. "S-s-sorry..." he stammered, chuckling nervously. "You're so dumb, Logan. Seriously, stop it with the staring thing. You're probably creeping her out. Big time." a voice in his head said. He swallowed hard and looked at the ground.

Ella smiled shyly. "N-no, it's okay." He was looking at the ground now and she didn't want him to feel weird about it. She nudged his shoulder and said, "Really, it's okay. I do it sometimes too-the staring thing. I mean I catch myself staring at you-I mean..." She laughed nervously. Why she had just said that she had no idea but didn't everyone stare at the person they liked like that?

"Oh, okay." Logan said, looking up at her and smiling. The red in his face finally had gone away. He listened to her talking. She was so cute. He smiled. "I guess we both stare at eachother a lot." he said chuckling. He then looked at her a little while longer, before leaning in and kissing her. He surprised himself by not pulling away or anything. He just kept kissing her. He didn't know what was making him do it, but he was surly enjoying it.

Ella laughed. "Yup, we're both guilty!" She said happily. And then he was kissing her again and kept kissing her and she felt her lips curving into a smile. Wait, did people smile during a kiss? She didn't know if it was normal but she was doing it. She broke the kiss looking at him with wide eyes. "That was-" What was that? That was awesome! Amazing! Stupendous! She settled for"unexpected." She was grinning like a fool, a fool who'd just been kissed by a lovely boy. She wondered where on earth he'd learned to kiss like that but didn't dare ask. She didn't want to know. What did a person even say to another person after that? She wasn't sure.

Logan felt Ella smile as they kissed, which tickled a little. He smiled as well. He felt rather dizzy as she broke the kiss, looking at him, her eyes wide. He then cocked his head, waiting to hear what she thought of it. Well, he thought it was truly amazing. Brilliant...and quite...romantic...just a little. Best kiss he ever had, and the first really...long one. He nodded his head a little as she said unexpected. "I guess so." he said, his voice cracking. AGAIN?! What the heck was with that...the...voice cracking thing? He smiled at her, his face red. "Well, I thought that was truly amazing." he said.

Ella nodded dreamily. She was only half listening to Logan as her heart felt like it was going to burst from her chest. She put her hand over it, feeling how fast it was beating. It sounds like I have a rock band drummer in there or something...She looked at his chest, wondering if his heart was doing the same. Before she could stop herself, she put her hand there, wanting to feel for herself.

Logan looked at Ella who nodded dreamily. He stopped talking and watched as she put her hand over her heart. He cocked his head a little. He tended to cock his head a lot...he didn't know why. It was just a habit he had. Then she was looking at his chest. He blinked and felt his heart start racing as soon as he hand touched his chest. He looked down at his chest, where his heart was thumping loudly against it like it was trying to get out. He looked from his chest then to Ella and suddenly everything stopped. The wind moving. The birds chirping. Conversations nearby. Everything. And it was just him and Ella, and the echoing sound of his heart drumming in his ears. He stared at her, into her eyes and was immedietly lost.

This snow fight is turning lot of fun he thought as he got some more snow ball thrown on him from Alec. A Champion snowball fighter? How did he know that he was one.

He spoke while he got some more snow on both his hands and threw them both on him. "I'm in my first year." he said and started laughing as he looked at Alec's face.

Zack looked around to see a place to hide and make this a real game.

Ella's heart continued to race like a marathon runner. All she could hear was the pounding in her ears as her hand made contact with Logan's chest. She was relieved and worried to find that his heart, like hers, was beating awfully fast. She looked at him and smiled. "Yours too huh?" She said sheepishly. "This just can't be healthy."

Logan was brought back to Earth by Ella's voice. He chuckled. "What? Oh....yeah." he said, then he laughed at what she said. He felt his legs feel somewhat like Jell-O or something...who put the jelly-legs jinx on him?!?! He looked around nervously.

Ella smiled at Logan. They must look ridiculous to the others hanging out in the courtyard. They were so-and were acting as if-but they were just 11 so they couldn't be in...Ella blushed. "We're kind of a mess when we're together huh?" She said giggling. "A wonderful adorable mess."

"Totally." Logan replied. "I totally agree." he said, laughing.

"So I've been meaning to ask you," Ella said smiling "How's life as a Gryffindor? Meeting lots of friends in your house?" Ella didn't know many gryffindors besides Logan and was curious about the house and the people in it.

Logan listened to Ella's question and smiled. "Life is great! I only met like one so far..." he said, frowning slightly. "I swear, there's barley any first year lions." he said. It kinda sucked to be stuck in that common room without much people your age. "What about you?" he asked.

Alyssa walked out into the Courtyard. It was definitely another good night for testing out the Nocturnal Instrument. The moon was full, the stars were shining brightly and there were no clouds in the sky. Alyssa looked up in the starlit sky and spotted the North Star. She didn't even need to look through the viewing hole on the Nocturnal instrument to find it.

She quickly adjusted the disks to set tonight's date. She was going to continue using the Constellation Cassopeia's star, Shedar, as the reference star. Holding up the instrument in a vertical position away from her with the handle down, she looked through the rivet in the centre of the instrument and straight up into the sky to find Polaris again. Once she found it, she rotated the pointer until its indicating edge pointed to the Constellation Cassopeia and specifically its star, Shedar.

Now to read the time. She looked down at disks and saw that the pointer lay between 9 and 10 closest to the last line nearest to 10. She guessed that the time was around 9:50 p.m. Alyssa quickly looked at her watch. The white blinking digits reflecting back at her, showed 9:48 p.m. Close enough for her.

Alyssa was glad that she had completed her homework assignment. Now she had to go back and return the instruments back to the Professor.

Laura was on her stroll. She was feeling kinda bored. It was then that she spotted this boy Zack, whom she had met yesterday. 'Hey there!!,' she said as she walked towards him.


She spotted another boy there, who seemed to be younger than her. She smiled at him and said 'Hi..I'm Laura..second year..'.

Ella was surprised to hear about the lack of first years in Logan's house. She frowned. "Well that's weird. But I'm sure you'll make good friends with the older kids though, you are all in the same house and must have things in common..." Ella wasn't sure if that was the truth but Logan was friendly and cute and who wouldn't want to be his friend? She smiled when asked about her own house. "Being a hufflepuff is great! I mean I think people say some mean things about us sometimes but it's all such bologna." She furrowed her brow thinking of the awful things she'd heard. "Everyone is so nice and they work hard." She really didn't know why she cared so much about what anyone else thought, she knew how hufflepuffs really were. "I've met a really nice girl named Charlotte and then there's Sophie who is a big ball of energy. Minnie, well I look up to her. She's so nice. I also met a boy named Ian. He seemed a bit shy at first but I think he's warming up to everyone." She smiled thinking about how she might have helped him get comfortable. It was nice helping people.

"Yeah. I've made friends with a few older students in my house." he said, smiling. "People say mean things about Hufflepuffs?" Logan asked, cocking his head. Well that was interesting. What was wrong with them? They were really awesome!"Oh, I know Sophie! She's pretty cool!" Logan said chuckling. Then he nodded. Minnie. She was very nice. He liked her. "There are so much amazing people here at Hogwarts.." he said with a sigh. "Especially you of course." he said, grinning at her.

Ella nodded, frowning. "Yeah they do. They say that we're not as smart as the other houses. Not true of course but it's still mean." She looked at him shrugging. "I know I shouldn't let it bother me." It still did though. Most people at Hogwarts were great but not everyone was kind. She perked up a bit when they started talking about the nicer things at Hogwarts. "Sophie is cool! Maybe we could all hang out sometime." Ella said happily. "There are a lot of amazing pe-who me? thanks!" She said blushing. He made her do that a lot, blush. It was like he was a pro at it or something. She smiled at him. "You're pretty amazing yourself there, SuperLogan!"

Well, this is a bit weird, Gwendolyn told herself as she noticed he was still looking erm- puzzled at her. Why?! As soon as she heard his remark, the third year couldn’t help laughing. Not knowing what exactly she should reply to that, the girl simply shook her head and smirked. Perhaps it was quite annoying for him not to get any answer, but Gwen had no idea what she could say without being rude. ‘Are you sure you are all right?’, she said as nice as she could.

Noticing that Lewis kept staring, the third year thought there was something wrong. Ack- do I have something on my face? Is there something behind me?, she asked herself and turned her head. Why am I so paranoid all of a sudden?, Gwendolyn thought and decided it was for sure Lewis’ fault. Aaanyway- ‘I have to agree with you on that’, she nodded. The puffs were the worst indeed.

After he replied another ‘I’m sorry’, Gwendolyn raised her eyebrows. Was she really such a creepy person??? She knew she was able to make people hate her, but not confuse them. So all of a sudden, she was the odd person? ‘Blimey!’, Gwen couldn’t help mumbling.

Yeah, I guess that was kind of obvious, she told herself, looking back at the newspaper. ‘I don’t know what exactly I want…But the only thing I know how to do is a picture frame. And after I spent some time practicing that for the Transfiguration homework, I’m not sure I want to do it again’ Yeah, she was kind of sick of picture frames already. ‘Got any ideas?’, the Ravenclaw finally asked.

‘Erm… by the way- do you know what spell could be used to change the color of an object?’ Just don’t ask why… don’t ask why… don’t ask why, Gwen thought as she waited for his answer. She had been looking for that spell for a long time and still didn’t manage to find it.

"It is mean." Logan said frowning. He remembered a Slytherin boy saying mean things to Sammy and him at the feast. Yeesh.

"Yeah, that'd be really fun!" Logan said, nodding eagerly and smiling as she blushed. He chuckled. "You're real cute when you blush, Ella." he said, smiling and blushing himself at what she said. "Well thank you!" he said.

"Uh-thanks." Ella said looking down. She had never really thought of blushing as being a cute thing but she supposed Logan looked pretty cute when he did it. Maybe she did as well? She'd take his word for it on that one.

Logan smiled and looked around. "Hogwarts is quite beautiful with all the snow." he said sighing. "And this snow is perfect for a snowball fight!" he said, grinning. "What do you say? Wanna have a snowball fight Ella?" he asked, leaning in and doing his special puppy dog eyes and giving her a little kiss. "Pwetty pwease?" he asked.

Ella nodded, looking around. "It is beautiful. I really do love it here." She smiled when he suggested a snowball fight. And the puppy dog eyes, how could she say no to those. She raised her eyebrows, trying not to smile. "Oh I don't know..." She said, bending down sneakily and grabbing a handful of snow. She stood quickly and threw it at Logan, hitting him in the chest. "I don't know if you'll be able to handle my snowballs!" She teased as she ran away from him.

Logan laughed as she threw a snowball at him. "Oh, I'm sure I can!" he said, making his own snowball and running after her. Once he was close enough, he threw it at her back and then tackled her to the ground. "Gotcha!" he said, giggling. Oh great. The 'giggling' thing again.
