Ellie's heart jumped when she heard footsteps. Looking up, she saw Dallin approach the bench and sit down... far away. He wasn't looking at her. Trying not to frown, Ellie took a deep breath and sighed. This was going to be difficult, but she would just have to swallow her pride and shove away her stubbornness.

Things already weren't going as planned. She had been hoping that once she saw him, she would think of something to say. But no such luck. Her mind was completely blank. Except the two words that were pounding on her skull, wanting to form into words.

"I'm sorry," Ellie blurted out quickly. "And I know sorry isn't really enough, but..." Ellie fidgeted with her coat buttons and looked across the grounds. "I really am sorry. For everything." She looked back at the ground and continued to fidget, hoping he would say something because she didn't know what to say anymore.

"I regret breaking up with you." She confessed. Phew. Even just that small confession felt good off of her chest. She was tempted to just stop there, but she knew there was more to be said. "I've done some pretty stupid things in my life, but that was by far the most idiotic thing I've done yet." She leaned back and laughed quietly at her own stupidity. Ugh. And she added 'yet' because she was sure she would end up doing something stupid in the years to come.

"I don't know what I was thinking... I felt like I needed to protect you by leaving you alone, but that only made things worse for us. Well... At least for me." Ellie glanced at Dallin before looking at the ground again. It was kind of really horrible being without Dallin for a whole month. Longer than a month, even.

And then her eyes went back up to Dallin's. "I miss you," she told him very quietly. She just hoped he missed her too.

Jezzabelle pulled out a roughly edited photo, but until she could get the chance to have a photo taken with the older girl this would have to do. She placed it on top of the piece of paper. Once again just wanting to get out of the castle for some fresh air, Kurumi had it in her mind to go find that pile of leaves from the other day when she had been walking with Jonathan. While he may not have been willing to jump in them, Kurumi had been dying to ever since she had looked at them. It would be best if she did so without him looking though. Jezz stopped and couldn't believe her luck. She was a little worried that she was going to have to search for Kurumi all over the castle but here she was walking across the courtyard. She hitched her bag higher on her shoulder and ran to catch up with the older girl.

"Hey Kurumi. So umm...I have something for you." She pulled the picture frame out of the bag and extended it to the girl. "I know the photo isn't really the best," she had taken up photography not editing. "But yeah." She worried her bottom lip as she waited for the older girls reaction.

Kurumi stopped when Jezz told her that she had something to give her. What could the little lion want to give her? Her violet eyes widened when the first year handed her a framed photo of the two of them, no doubt part of their Transfiguration assignment, but Kurumi felt all warm and fuzzy that Jezz had picked her to give the frame to. "Oh Jezz, thank you," she smiled. "I love it! And I know just where I am going to put it." She looked back at the first year and flashed her a wink. "I think it will go perfectly with my other photo frames on my night stand."

Kurumi examined her handiwork and nodded. "Nicely done spellwork as well."

The first year had still managed to change the object into something different which was the whole point of the subject. "I was told my wand is best for transfiguration spells, but I always seem to melt things on a first try. Really scared me last year when we were working with live animals too." Even if they were just worms.

Kurumi tucked the photo frame into her bag and shut it tight. "You heading back to the common room?" If not, she was more than welcome to join Kurumi on her endeavor to re-find the leaf pile

She was silly. And apparently mental? Ellie frowned slightly. Well, that wasn't very nice. She looked away for a moment, ready to be offended, but... Ellie knew Dallin's intentions weren't to be mean (at least she hoped not). He was just stating a fact.

Ellie sighed and nodded a little. "Yeah. I guess I was mental." She laughed quietly. Biting her lip, she looked back up at him. "I never knew you were such a great actor, though. You seemed fine every time I saw you. I saw you smile. And... kissanothergirl." Ellie looked away again. She was still kind of bitter about that, no matter what Louisa said about it. It was probably just raging jealousy that Vashti got to kiss Dallin. What made it worse was that Vashti didn't even seem to enjoy it. What a wasted kiss...

But she noticed that the blame was now going on Hunter--and she couldn't really see how anything was his fault. Sure, he had pushed Aria into the lake (which wasn't really anything to worry about, or so Hailey thought) but really, to call him nosy and mouthy was not nice. But the Gryffie realized that she couldn't say anything if she wanted to make up. So she just nodded her head, as if she agreed with Mikey, though she didn't.

When he finally looked up at her and mentioned that she would take Hunter's side since he was family, Hailey really didn't know what to say. Was he right? Had she taken Hunter's side since he was family, if only subconsciously?
She had no idea. But she wasn't about to lose her best friend over it.

"I don't take sides," She said with a sigh, hoping that would quench it. Sure, she had sided with Hunter about Aria but that was because she didn't like Aria and not because Hunter was her cousin. Plus, it seemed Mikey was envious of Hunter at any rate, though she couldn't tell why. Maybe his good looks? But it wasn't like Mikey was ugly or anything...in fact, he was very good looking.

Kurumi stopped playing with her necklace and looked at Jezz again. "Oh, y-y-yes," she stammered, obviously flustered for all the right reasons. "He just gave it to me the other day." For no real reason at all, which had make it all the better really. Kurumi usually was not the type to wear much jewelry but this earned an exception to her usual habits.
