A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.

Adam took a seat on one of the benches in the courtyard an just watched everyone in their groups of friends chatting amongst each other or quickly passing by to get to another location on the school grounds.
He tugged on his jacket on a little bit tighter as the wind slapped his face. November was turning chilly an windy. Adam wasn't sure why he was out in the cold, but he needed the fresh air. It was peaceful here in the courtyard, something he needed. His thoughts flowing out of his head an escaping away from him.

"You're welcome." Evelyn responded with a smile. "Oh. You transferred last year? That's cool. I feel like I'm the only newbie here although I'm sure there are other transfers here as well.." When he asked where she was from, Evelyn said, "Well, I was born in Australia before my family moved to England. I was here until I was 11 before we moved to France where I went to a private school for around five years and now..I'm back here." She finished with a grin. "So, yeah..there was a lot of moving about." She flipped her hair back before she started to look around for a place to sit. "..and, no. You're not being nosy at all. You're actually nice."

It was finally November, the month Nessie loved, yet hated at the same time. She didn't like that November meant that winter was on its way, but she never used to hate it, it was only since she moved to England that she did. At her old home in South Africa, it was summer time in November and since she despised the cold, she had come to hate November weather. Either way, November was her birthday month, and for her it was a time to get excited and celebrate. She had chosen to throw a party, but she still had tons of planing to do which was why she had decided to head out the common room to try find some fresh air to think.
With no particular destination in mind, Renesmee wondered off around the school. When she walked into the courtyard, she decided to sit by a bench to start her planing and it was then that she noticed a familiar someone that had awesome ginger hair like her. "Heyy....Mr. Prefect Ginger." She said cheerfully as she gave her 'brother' a big hug and took a seat. He didn't mind if she sat with him right? He wasn't doing any top secret stuff..like planing who to use he's love potion on eh? Ness hoped not, but she sort of trusted that he wouldn't do anything bad.
There was stuff they needed to talk about, LOTS of stuff..but she'd let him start, he was the one that needed to open up this. She'd just listen, because that was the right thing to do.

Wow. She had pretty much traveled around as much in Europe as he had in the states. "I hear Australia is really nice, especially if you enjoy warm weather," Adam said with a smile. "Even though I've been here for a year now, I still haven't gotten the chance to go to France at all. Did you like it there or here better?" Adam asked. He personally had traveled around so much that it was far for him to really say which spot was his favorite, but he definitely had found himself feeling the most at home here in England, especially since he now had a family member that actually cared about his well being. "I'm from the states and moved around quite a bit myself, so I know all about traveling all over the place," Adam said with a nod.
At the comment about him being nice Adam gave her a warm smile. Err...maybe instead of awkwardly standing here they could sit down somewhere? "Want to go sit down?" Adam asked, motioning towards a bench a little ways away. Normally he would have suggested the edge of the fountain but since he had successfully managed to soak the entire area around them that wasn't going to be an option. "So, have you met any nice people?" Adam asked.

November. Time was zooming by fast. Before Adam knew it it would be June an they would all be out of Hogwarts until they came back in the following September. He was becoming more an more chilly by the second but luckily his thick jacket covered some of the blowing wind.
He heard someone call him by his nickname. Adam didn't know who it was but after he fully heard the name he knew who it was. She called him that all term, but it was a funny nickname. In a matter of seconds Nessie's arms was around him an he did the same back, hugging her, almost blindly.
"Hello, you.." He greeted her in a playful voice as he gently punched her shoulder. So this conversation wasn't going to be awkward. Last time they talked it had a lot to do with Nessie's doubts of her 'crush' an now it would be Adam talking about Selina, an well...Kurumi. There was a long stretch of silence before he spoke up. "So, yeah, Kurumi an I..well, my second year-I wasn't here my first year- I dated someone called Katie Star, even though I had feelings for Kurumi, an she for me. Katie was controlling an started spreading lies about me when I opinionated on our relationship.Kurumi helped me get Katie off my back, an then things got awkward. We were best friends with the utmost deepest feelings for each other. So, we decided to sort of be a couple."
That was the easy year. His third year, her second year was when things got complicated. "Oh, an I only dated that Katie girl because I felt forced to say yes to be in a relationship with her. That's when I told Kurumi everything I felt about the whacko girl calling me a liar an such. I was just stating what I was thinking."
Yeah, Nessie. Yep. That's just my first story out of three more stories to come.

"Yeah. I don't remember anything about Australia though. I lived there until I was one before I moved to England." Evelyn would definitely love to visit Australia again though. "Oh, you should visit France sometime. It's a beautiful country." Evelyn honestly didn't have an answer to his next question. "Well, I loved France. I had a lovely time there and made some really amazing friends..but I feel more at home here, you know? I lived here for almost thirteen years before I went to France.." She would visit France during the summer. It would be great to see all her friends again. "Oh, wow. You're from the States? How is it there?" Evelyn asked, excitedly.
"Oh, yeah. Sure." Evelyn said, walking towards the empty bench. Gosh, her bag was starting to feel a little heavy. She shifted her bag to her left shoulder when he asked if she'd met any nice people when she just shrugged. "I've met a few people here and there. I met one recently though..you might know him since he's a sixth year as well.." Was he? He did look to be about her age anyway. "His name's Marcelo.."

Adam nodded, listening to her as she spoke. He could understand her point about England compared to France. "I've been to almost all fifty states," Adam replied when Eve inquired about the states. "I feel like I never really settled in one long enough to be able to say that its my home, but I did live in Massachusetts for a bit and I loved it there. It's just so colorful and beautiful there. I would go back in a heart beat," Adam said with a smile. "Florida is also wonderful if you're looking for somewhere that doesn't get too cold and has a lot of things to do for entertainment."
Adam plopped down on the bench, listening to Eve as she mentioned that she'd met lots of nice people. And then the name that came out of her mouth made him freeze. Did she just say Marcelo? Well...Adam was glad to know that he didn't just tell him that that was his name considering pretty much everyone else called him Joao. "Yeah, I know Marcelo," Adam said with a little nod, keeping his tone natural. "How...uh...how did you too meet?" Adam asked, wondering if perhaps this very nice girl might happen to be apart of the tensions between Louisa and Joao. He couldn't help but wonder if Eve even knew about Louisa...

Evelyn looked impressed when he said that he'd visited nearly all the states. "Wow. That's just..wow." She honestly couldn't come up with a more sensible response. He definitely must have done a LOT of traveling. When he described a couple of states, she gave a sigh. "Wow. They sound incredible. I really want to visit the States one day..especially California." She loved traveling and she pretty much wanted to go to every country in the world which was impossible but it's nice to dream, right?
Oh. For some reason, she felt like things were going..not so okay. It seemed like..it seemed like..there was kind of tension in the air but she wasn't sure. How did they meet? "Well, I met him in the grounds..I think it was the vegetable patch. He was a charming guy." She leaned back against the bench and pushed her hair back as she looked at fountain. "Nice and friendly." Evelyn added, as she turned to look at Adam, trying to gauge the expression on his face.
"Loved not loves.... he died!" Taylor glared at her cousin, "My mother is a useless snob, whom i haven't seen for most of my life!" Taylor folded her arms, "My brother.... if he can even be called that, is bringing shame to our family. A divorce! That is the worst disgrace ever, cheating would of been better!" She gestured with her hands for emphasis.
Tired of the argueing, it was obvious that the girl was just upset, which Siobian could understand. "Believe me, having a dead parent and a living one that loves you; is ten times better than being in my shoes..." She started to turn, "I have a mother who may as well, and as a matter a fact, may be dead, and a father who wishes I didn't exist." When she heard Taylor say cheating would be better than a divorce, Siobian shook her head as she started walking away. "If you truely think that... You need some help, big time. I'd rather have Matt break up with me and be with someone he loves, than him stay with me, be unhappy, and have to sneak around to be with the someone." She continued to shake her head, "I pity you Taylor, you don't seem to understand how lucky you are to be you."
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Adam chuckled. "Yeah...it was intense to say the least, and there were definitely times where I hated not having one solid place that I lived in, but I have gotten to see more of the US than most people get to see in their entire lives." When Eve mentioned she wanted to visit California Adam gave her a smile. "That's actually one of the states I haven't managed to get to," Adam said with a laugh. "I think it would be pretty cool to visit Hollywood though and see how the celebs live it up."
Err...maybe Adam hadn't been as good at hiding his emotions towards the boy as he had thought. However as Eve responded to how they met and mentioned that he was charming Adam was having an even harder time controlling his emotions. Was it just him or was the girl talking about it in a kind of...well...interested manner? Not swooning per se but definitely like there was some physical attraction. Did she know about Louisa? Surely she didn't...should Adam bring up the fact that he knows that he has a girlfriend? Well...maybe it would make the tension diffuse a little if Adam could show his resentment towards the kid as being a protective friend. "I've met him once or twice," Adam said with a little nod. "He's dating my best friend Louisa Carter...she's a year younger than us. Have you met her?" Adam asked, the words coming out simply factual.

"You're terribly lucky. It's great that you have travelled so much though. I love to travel actually. You get to experience something new..get to meet new people..try out new cuisines.." Evelyn shook her head. "Huh. Sorry. I love to babble sometimes." She gave a wry smile. "What? You haven't been to California?" Gasp. "How could you not? Isn't it the most exciting place in the world?" Evelyn nodded when he said that it would be cool. "Yep. We might get to see celebs..even though the chances of that happening are limited but still..it would be amazing."
WOAH. Something was definitely wrong and it was do it with the guy Marcelo. But what? She honestly couldn't figure it at all. Hm. This was just weird. Did she say something wrong? No. Not really. All she said was that he was quite nice and charming. That's all. However, before she could come to any conclusions, Adam put an end to her trying to figure it out.
Evelyn finally understood. Yep. She definitely knew what this meant. Sigh. "Oh, really? Good for him. I'm sure she's really nice." Uh, yeah. That's all she had to say. She definitely didn't have a problem with him having a girlfriend. It's not she 'liked' him or anything. "..and, no. I haven't met her."

She continued to shake her head, "I pity you Taylor, you don't seem to understand how lucky you are to be you."
"Mother doesn't love me. She would of been there all my life if she did." Taylor plainly said, "How do i need help?" She sneered, "Henry ruined our family and brought disgrace on us just so he could go around with a new girl. How do you think that makes Joey and us feel?
Taylor didn't understand her cousin at all.
Mikey moved a bit to make more room for the vampire as she sat down. He never minded if she was the one who would disturb her during his homework time. Mikey could usually keep a conversation going with her while still being able to jott down everything he needed. But now sh was apologizing? Weird. "Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault you have a cousin who knows how to grind my gears and can't mind his own business or keep his mouth shut," he said, still not looking up at Rose. But seriously, who'd want to be related to Hunter? Mikey felt bad for Rose in a way, but she liked having him as a cousin. Ehh.
"Besides, you were obviously going to take his side more; considering he's family and all," Mikey added, finally looking up at her blue eyes that were filled with water.
She hated crying. She really did. It was probably one of top five things on her 'Hate' list. Unfortunately for Hailey, though, she cried way too much for someone who hated it.
"I dunno," She said with a shrug, finally able to find a hanky in the depths of her bag. Hailey blew her nose loudly and then turned back to the conversation. She really didn't know why she was apologizing but she had to say something.
"You...you're mad at me," She said finally but glumly. Well, it was true. He left her in the library! AND he told her that he wouldn't help her with homework anymore. (Which wasn't really a threat since Mikey says that about fifty times a day). But still--he was her best friend. Since, like, forever. And so of course she didn't want to lose him.
But she noticed that the blame was now going on Hunter--and she couldn't really see how anything was his fault. Sure, he had pushed Aria into the lake (which wasn't really anything to worry about, or so Hailey thought) but really, to call him nosy and mouthy was not nice. But the Gryffie realized that she couldn't say anything if she wanted to make up. So she just nodded her head, as if she agreed with Mikey, though she didn't.
When he finally looked up at her and mentioned that she would take Hunter's side since he was family, Hailey really didn't know what to say. Was he right? Had she taken Hunter's side since he was family, if only subconsciously?
She had no idea. But she wasn't about to lose her best friend over it.
"I don't take sides," She said with a sigh, hoping that would quench it. Sure, she had sided with Hunter about Aria but that was because she didn't like Aria and not because Hunter was her cousin. Plus, it seemed Mikey was envious of Hunter at any rate, though she couldn't tell why. Maybe his good looks? But it wasn't like Mikey was ugly or anything...in fact, he was very good looking.
This was...almost too terrible, because he'd fallen asleep on the Common Room and now it was pretty much late to actually head over to the Observatory. You know, seven floors, over 9 pm, it didn't matter if he was Head Boy...it was still too late to be wondering around the upper floors...but of course, it was even worse to be out in the Courtyard, no?
The bright side of it was that the Common Room was incredibly close. It barely took him 3 minutes to get here...and it'll take him even less to return. Also, he already knew what he wanted to search for this time, which saved a lot of time.
Pegasus, of course. Granted, he was supposed to be here at 9 pm, but that only meant it was going to be a bit more difficult to find it, not impossible.
After setting up his telescope, proper spells from the last time and whatnot, and after checking his notes, he started the stargazing part...which kind of relaxed him a little bit. He had yet to find Pegasus, though. Ten minutes had passed and he was almost going to call it quit for the evening...when his eyes caught something, well, his right eye anyway. A small smile was on his face as he compared his notes to what was on the sky. Now, Arya would be a bit proud that he found the constellation related to a winged-horse while on the grounds.
He double-checked, just in case, before writing something else on his notes.
Soon enough he was eyeing the doors that led inside...and put everything safely on his bag, and the telescope on his hand. Back to the...kitchens, actually, not the Common Room, because he was in the mood for some hot chocolate right now.
Jezzabelle found herself a nice comfortable place in the courtyard secluded from all the typical hustle and bustle of the world around her. Settling even deeper into her comfort zone, she dug around in her bag and pulled out a blank sheet of paper. The first step in her homework was to design a picture frame. Or maybe she should make that the second step. First step, who should she give it to?
She leaned her head back and began to elimination process. Her parents? Nah. If possible, her grandfather...but it wasn't possible. She didn't really have a favorite professor, just a favorite class. Then who? Someone who was there for her in her time of need, even when she didn't realize she needed them. Who could that be though?
Then it hit her harder than a bludger. Kurumi. She had been there for her more times than she could count. Always helping her and always guiding her in the right direction. Pulling out a pencil she began to sketch out a picture frame that would work for the older girl. Then she had a brilliant idea. She would make on of glass. Almost like the one she accidentally broke while in class. She set to work drawing it out.

While it was true that he could've gotten to the Observatory for this, since it was almost 9 pm and he still had time to get there, he found the Courtyard rather enjoyable for stargazing.
Halloween was tomorrow, which actually meant that the ONLY constellation he ACTUALLY wanted to check out will soon be harder to witness in the sky. This had to happen today. Certainly.
And which one was the constellation he wanted to see? Why, Lacerta, of course. It was incredibly cool. And not because of the supposed 'on our way to the Land of the Dead' story of it all, but because it looked mighty cool in the sky if you joined the stars together. He...wasn't mentioning that to Roslund, though.
Telescope set. Charts out for some more exploration. Notes DEFINITELY out, plus quill and such, because he planned on writing quite a bit about this one.
Eyes back on the telescope, yes, BOTH, because he was that excited, until he realized how difficult it would get if he didn't decide which eye to use for the telescope. Silly Hufflepuff. He actually chuckled before he set his eyes on...Pegasus again? Yeah, no, he wasn't looking for Pegasus.
Stars, more stars, a planet he didn't bother on figuring out which one it was. He knew it wasn't Mercury, at least. And...he finally stopped moving the telescope around when he found Lacerta. Another constellation, because he was only looking for constellations, so it seemed. He should try a planet next time.
Ah, but it was pretty, and he did his best to put that into paper, and then join the dots with lines. Heh. Finally.
Now, he was a happy Lockhart, and he kept on looking at the constellation through the telescope, and naked eye as well, though the latter was almost impossible to perceive.
After a while, he took his charts, notes and telescope...and headed back to the Common Room. The smile on his face was just a sign of his current happiness.
Jezzabelle stared at her completed drawing. It was so beautiful and elegant. It looked like something that Kurumi would certainly like. She pulled her wand out of the small pocket that was sewed into her robes. Well first things first she needed to practice just once real quick to make sure she could do a basic frame. "Statua Habitum," she said drawing a square over the blank sheet of paper she had. In it's place, the frame from the lesson appeared. She smiled and then said, "Reverto." And watched as it became a simple piece of blank paper again. Now it was time for the hard [art, to get the frame she had designed.

Adam, was still Adam..and he's 'gentle' punch definitely showed that. "Oww!" she said without thinking. It wasn't that sore, but still he was way stronger than her and what must have seemed gentle to him, was a little painful to her. She sort of had the urge to punch him back, but then it wasn't like he meant it to be sore, so she left it.
Umm..awkward silence, was all Nessie could think when Adam didn't say anything. She was so tempted to open her lips and say something anything, but thankfully Adam finally spoke. She turned around and faced him, so that he knew he had her full, full attention. This would be interesting, she'd finally know the full story, the only thing that worried her was how bad Adam had really been, because if he had done terrible things it wouldn't be so easy for her to trust him, but she'd still try.
Katie Star? Who in the name of Merlin was that? O_O Nessie honestly had no idea whatsover, but whoever this girl was Adam described her as not a very friendly person, so Nessie had no intention of becoming friends with this girl, but maybe she'd find out who the girl was...you know so she could keep and eye on this girl. "Oh..um..I thought Kurumi was the first person you started dating, and this Katie Star seems kinda mean..whoever she is." She said only a few words just to make sure he could see that she was listening.
"So um..after you and Kurumi started to be a couple what happened?" she could tell there was much, much more to the story and that this was only the beginning of it all.
She lifted her feet onto the bench and sat facing Adam, with her legs crossed. This story would take a while, and she just wanted to make sure she would be comfortable.
Jezzabelle closed her eyes and visualized the frame she had drawn on the paper below. The flowers that covered the boarder were all in different styles and sizes and they word friends was ever so elegantly placed upon the frames boarder twice. Taking a deep cleansing and calming breath she looked at her blank paper and visualized it folding in and taking shape of the frame she wanted.
"Statua Habitum," she said making a square over the paper. She watched at it slowly but surely took form. It shaped itself into a nice little of glass and had on exactly what she wanted. Now all that was left was for her to add the picture she wanted. Her new found love of photography had ensure that she would have something. "Reverto," she said watching the frame become a piece of paper again.

Ella headed out to the courtyard, pulling her wool sweater tight against her small frame. She couldn't believe how cold it had gotten in such a short time. The Holidays are going to be here so soon. I should really start thinking about what to get my parents. Spotting the wishing fountain, Ella smiled. The fountain had granted her wish and she wanted to thank it in some way, even if that was a bit unusual. She walked over to the fountain, looking around to see if anyone was watching, and began to talk to it in a whisper. "Thanks, you know for-for helping my dad get better and everything. I really appreciate it." When she was done, she sat down in front of the fountain and looked around. Time had been going by rather quickly and she hadn't really had a chance to take everything in. She sat there for quite some time, enjoying the sights around her with a small smile on her face.
Jezzabelle pulled out a roughly edited photo, but until she could get the chance to have a photo taken with the older girl this would have to do. She placed it on top of the piece of paper. "Statua Habitum." She watched as the frame grew up around the picture and couldn't help but smile. However, it wasn't the frame she had designed but a simple black wooden one.
"Reverto," she said watching the frame and picture become a piece of paper and the picture yet again. "Well it could be worse," she mumbled. Could be some more bouncing balls. How had she managed that one anyway? Taking a deep breath she said, "Statua Habitum." She watched as another frame sprung up around the photo and let out a sigh of relief. It was the right frame this time. She picked up and packed up her things. Now, to find Kurumi.

Tucking her chin into her coat, Ellie shoved her hands in her pockets and sat down at a bench in the courtyard. She was... nervous, to say the least. After her talk with Louisa, Ellie knew this is what she had to do, but that didn't make her feel any more confident about it.
Ellie crossed one knee over the other and tapped her foot anxiously as she waited for Dallin. She silently tried to think of what she would say... but her mind was blank. So she hoped something would come to her mind when she saw his face.

Honestly, Dallin had no idea why Ellie suddenly wanted to see him again. He didn't really even want to see her. Not that he hadn't missed her... because he had. But he was afraid to see what she wanted now. He didn't think she could do anything worse than break up with him... but Ellie was always full of surprises, wasn't she?
Spotting Ellie on a bench, Dallin slowed his pace. He was trying to give himself some more time to think. What would he say to her? What would she say to him?
Of course, though, he made it to the bench. Without looking at Ellie he sat down... a good ways away from her. And he didn't say anything. Because he didn't have anything to say to her.

Ellie's heart jumped when she heard footsteps. Looking up, she saw Dallin approach the bench and sit down... far away. He wasn't looking at her. Trying not to frown, Ellie took a deep breath and sighed. This was going to be difficult, but she would just have to swallow her pride and shove away her stubbornness.
Things already weren't going as planned. She had been hoping that once she saw him, she would think of something to say. But no such luck. Her mind was completely blank. Except the two words that were pounding on her skull, wanting to form into words.
"I'm sorry," Ellie blurted out quickly. "And I know sorry isn't really enough, but..." Ellie fidgeted with her coat buttons and looked across the grounds. "I really am sorry. For everything." She looked back at the ground and continued to fidget, hoping he would say something because she didn't know what to say anymore.
