A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.
Eino knew exactly what Cornelius was going to do when he saw him. First he was going to smile, then continue smiling, and finally ask him to join him. He returned the smile, although not nearly as big and bright as the ones he had received, and sat next to the boy. What he did not expect was Cornelius' questioning of and eagerness to hear about Sierra! He placed his bag by his feet as slowly as possible in attempts to stall an answer, but once that was done he turned back to the boy. He could play dumb and pretend he didn't know what he was talking about or come up with some sudden reason as to why he had to leave, but he didn't. He wanted to talk about her. He wanted to tell the whole school about her, if he could.
"I believe that the things that were left unsaid were the ones that spoke the loudest." Eino's nervousness, covering Cornelius' mouth, thinking he was blind, all of that. "I do apologize for that, that was awfully rude, but I would like to request permission to share the blame with my hands. I hardly recall intending to do that." Eino said apologetically, looking from the boy to his hands, then back. He wasn't exactly sure what Cornelius wanted to hear or why he wanted to hear about Sierra. Eino didn't think it was quite as interesting, but rather embarrassing that she caused him to behave so strangely. Well, admittedly, Eino did act strangely on his own, but Sierra's presence only worsened that behavior.
"I wanted to talk to you about the girl, but also I have some Hogwarts questions. But first! The girl thing."
Cornelius could sense that Eino wasn't exactly used to talking about this girl, and quite possibly didn't know what to say. But Cornelius wasn't necessarily interested in prying into his private life; it just honestly interested him. He himself had had crushes, but he always asked the girl on a date after a short amount of time, he wasn't often shy about that. Seeing Eino obviously in such a state of affection for this girl and seemingly not doing much about it, was interesting to Cornelius.
His eyebrows rose at Eino's first words; the things that were left unsaid were the ones that spoke the loudest? After a moment, he seemed to understand what he was taking about, listening as the other Ravenclaw apologized for his rude behavior in the Great Hall, and he gave a brief chuckle. "That's kind of why I wanted to ask you about it," he explained with a bit of a shrug, "Not that I'm angry or anything," Cornelius quickly reassured him, not wanting him to think that he was upset at him for covering up his mouth and the nervousness and all. Well, the mouth covering wasn't exactly pleasant, but he understood that Eino didn't mean for it to be so intruding and simply didn't know how else to get him to stop talking. "It's just...that's a pretty strong reaction for a girl across the room," he pointed out. His eyebrows rose up and down again jokingly. "Why aren't you with her?" Cornelius asked, honest curiosity in his tone.

Eino felt a little less nervous knowing he could be of use for the following part of the meeting. He had gathered enough knowledge of Hogwarts through books and experience to be able to answer most of Cornelius' questions, or at least he hoped he had. The hard part was getting to this "girl thing," as the boy put it. "Well..." He began, fidgeting and looking up at the sky for a while before continuing. "I have been somewhat forward with my affection, but I have rather inadequate knowledge and experience in the matter to decipher her response to it." It wasn't like they spent a lot of time together, but the bottom line was Eino hadn't the slightest clue of how Sierra felt about him. As he finished speaking, he put his hands away in his hands away in his robe's pockets and fell silent, staring at Cornelius, wide-eyed with an occasional blink.

Cornelius's eyebrows rose once more as Eino explained that he had been 'somewhat forward with his affection'. What did that mean? As he continued on to explain that he didn't feel he had enough knowledge and experience in the matter to 'decipher her response to it', Cornelius grinned wider than ever, as though he had found the answer to everything. "That's where I come in!" he announced cheerfully, letting out a laugh as though surprised Eino hadn't connected it already. Not to say that Cornelius would know everything and anything, but maybe he could help!
"I mean... I can try to help if you want to run it by me?" he explained what he meant, a weak smile on his expression. He didn't want Eino to feel as though he had to tell him everything, they just met after all and maybe it wasn't any of his business at all. "I mean, you want to be with her, right?" Cornelius asked more accurately. He didn't want to sit here and bother Eino about it if he was completely happy with the way things were between himself and this Sierra girl. He truly didn't know the situation, and if Eino didn't want to bother, then he wouldn't make him. But if he could help in any way, he wanted to. Especially since later in the conversation he had every intention of bombarding him with Hogwarts questions. It was the least he could do!

Oh! Yeah, it's dirty in here. Erin snorted but smiled as she looked at Jonathan Kim. Smiled widely actually. "Yes, you're right," she looked at him again and grinned. "Scourgify!" Erin used her wand to clean up herself. Erin looked like a mess. She was truthfully and hopelessly embarrassed in front of Jonathan Kim.
She straightened herself and walked towards the Slytherin guy and said, "Do you somehow recognize me?" pointing at herself and waiting for the guy's facial response. She needed it at the least. Oh boy, Erin wished he did.
Jonathan turned his back and looked at the water in the fountain again. There weren't much coins yet. Do the wishes really come true? Come on, people around here are wizards and witches right? Obviously wishes is something they could obviously do because of magic. Jonathan rolled his eyes. Not that he was against with the whole drop a coin and make a wish thing, it's just that, it kinda baffles him with all of these.
Hearing her question Jonathan didn't turn his head to answer her "Sort of." he replied. Sort of because he forgot her name. Alice is it? Or Elisa? Or Aries? They all seemed wrong though. "I do take into account to remember people who I meet" he smirked. Well, he does remember her face and her weird way of doing things.
Then he moved his head to look at her "Why? Should I not remember who you are?" he added.

Sort of? It seemed like, Jonathan was in a better mood the last time Erin had met him than today. Did he and Kurumi fought? Sweet! "Why would you say sort of?" she asked confused. "If you can't remember my name clearly, I know something's just clouding your mind. I'm Erin," Erin smiled as the Slytherin guy was on his back. She then felt the tingling sensation. Erin was totally crushing with this Jonathan Kim. Eeeeep!
And then he moved to face Erin. That fast? Really? Erin composed herself and straightened her body. "No! I mean you definitely should. I am quite cute right?" Erin said and smiled in a very childish way. Now, Jonathan would see her as a little kid, not as a woman who's crushing on him. Plus, the guy was so much towering her. Why are you so short Erin? Pffft!
Erin moved closer to the fountain inches away from Jonathan. "Don't you want to make a wish? I've made a one last year and it somehow came true. Well, sort of."

So her name was Erin. Jonathan really forgot that one. It was not even one of his guesses to begin with. Maybe because they met so briefly and truth be told Jonathan is bad at remembering names, although, he does remember a few people he meets. That's why he is not that good in History of Magic, he can't remember as many names that made a mark in history. "Erin" he nodded. He'll be putting that name in mind.
Jonathan blinked and stared at her for awhile. She was asking him if she was cute? What was that suppose to mean anyway? Blink. Blink. Jonathan decided not to answer that question, instead he just whispered "..and odd" yeah, since the first time Jonathan had met this girl it feels like Erin was peculiar in a way that made Jonathan uncomfortable. What house was she under again? Thank Merlin, she's not Slytherin.
Jonathan looked at the fountain again as Erin moved towards it. "What kind of wish?" well, they said never to tell your wish but since she said it was already granted then , that's probably good enough to tell right? WAIT! Really? Wishes really do come true if you toss a coin?
Arabella-Marie wandered into the courtyard after coming back up from the qudditch pitch after signing up for tryouts which she was looking forward to to and smiled to herself, she saw a young ravenclaw girl sitting drawing and made her way over to her and said "Hey what are you drawing"
After drawing a few more lines, Gwen put the quill down, and cheked out how the stone column was coming up. Not great… but something could come out of this, the Ravenclaw thought and grabed the quill again.
‘Hmm?’, she mumbled, but didn’t mind looking at the student who was probably talking to her. After she finished drawing the upper part of the column, the girl finally raised her eyes from the notebook. ‘Oh…hi’, Gwendolyn smirked to the girl. ‘That part of the Courtyard’, she added, pointing the column with the quill.
‘I don’t think we’ve met…’, the third year announced, and, after a short break, she added: ‘I’m Gwen, by the way. Gwen Greene’.

Erin. That was his words. Erin. Erin. Erin. Erin could continually repeat the sound of his voice echoing through her memory. It will stay there as long as she live or until she finds another guy. "And that is right!" said Erin making a thumbs up. She would say, she loved her name before but this time around, it was different. Hearing it from him, it was so precious. "Never forget from now on," smiled Erin.
Erin followed the many blinks Jonathan when he said she was cute - yeah, quite right - and odd? Erin was odd? Oh! He must be noticing it now. Was it that obvious that she was stalking him? But she didn't today. Jonathan was the one who found her. Better to ask than jumped into conclusions. "Odd?" Erin smiled before continuing, "Why?" she asked with again a smile plastered on her face.
"It's nothing, personal matters," said Erin with a slight bit of loneliness. "Anyways, enough of me. You. Don't you wanna wish for your luck in your studies? " As much as Erin didn't want to say this. It seemed like, it'll most likely set Jonathan's mood, "Or for your cookie girl?"

Never forget---- "Is that an order?" he raised an eyebrow and looked at her straightly. Was she ordering him not to forget her name? Jonathan snorted as he heard her. Erin... what was her last name? He saw her once not long time ago with the other girl. The one that called her Jon-Jon. Again, he name escapes her. Yeah, they're a weird bunch.
Jonathan looked at her. "Do you admit it though?" that she was odd, that is. Because she is and it is making Jonathan uneasy, which doesn't really happen to him. This is probably a first.
Moving to wishes... "Personal matters?" he smirked "That sounds like something a Slytherin would say." it's true. He looked at her this time though, luck on his studies? "Ravenclaw" he gave a small laugh. So he takes the Slytherin comment back. Erin is a Ravenclaw. His OWLs were already done, so he's going to have to take a rest in studying but he'll get back to it next term when he's a seventh year and has to take NEWTs. Yep, those were definitely important when he graduates.
Although her next comment made him stare at her again. "Why are you bringing her up?" they're talking about her wish anyway and besides she looks like she didn't like asking that last one.

Jake looked back over to Beezus "so what year are you in? I'm guessing since you best friend is a second year so are you?" he asked her " you must care about her to be worried"
Oh! Cute pet.
"Nice to meet you Jake." She said after the handshake. "I guess you're right. I just hope she'd know her limits." Beezus said, referring to Erin's little crush with the Slytherin already taken sixth year.
"Yup! we're both in second year.. How about you?" She asked. And as for the worried, she only nodded. Of course she would be worried, it was her bestfriend they were talking about here.

"Well..." muttered Erin slightly embarrassed. If she was in front of that Slytherin guy she had met at the Welcome Feast, she'll probably snapped on him, well not just snap on him, but used her wand to punish him. "If you don't want to, I am not forcing you," said Erin in an almost inaudible tone. But since, he was Jonathan Kim, that one will pass. Everything will pass, most probably.
Odd? And Erin's question was thrown onto hers. "I..I..I was odd? D'you really think that?" No one ever called Erin odd. Not even her bestfriend Beezus or Elise or anybody in her year.
Personal matters were personal. Erin pouted when Jonathan repeated the words in question. "I'm a Ravenclaw." Why bring cookie girl up? "Well, I saw her at the kitchen. She must be very happy the kitchen is open again." Erin pretended to be happy talking about her. "It'll do you no harm if you make a wish. And why are you here anyways?"

He smirked. Yeah, no forcing allowed because Jonathan doesn't really like taking orders. Except for the professors of course and well, his parents. But that's a different story. He just looked at her and smiled in a way that means: no forcing or ordering indeed. What?! They both barely-- HE barely knows her and they're really not that close as well.
Is he actually going to say why he finds her weird? FINE. So that she'll know the reason "South end of the platform. Bench. You knew my name and basic stuffs about me" it made him uneasy as well. He was actually surprised that she knew that much about him. It was odd for strangers to know before actually acquainting with each other. He knows she's a Ravenclaw b-but she had her facts right. "How'd you know that much?" he narrowed his eyes and slowly went near to her.
"I'm not into wishes" at least that was clear. He's a Slytherin for Merlin's sake. Wishes always come true if you have the ambition to make them come true. You don't really need to waste a coin to drop it into the fountain.
Finally the kitchens were back to being open again, "everyone is happy that it's open again." even Jonathan felt relieved that it is open again. He likes ordering himself a nice midnight snack when he can't sleep or when he is bored. It's fun eating chocolate cake and pumpkin juice. Speaking of which, it has been rather a long time since he last ate and drank the two. He should go eat it tonight. He misses the flavor.
And why was he here? "It's outside of the school not the common room. I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to hangout anywhere." he smiled as he watched the water again and his reflection on it. "So why are you here?" he asked.
Kendra walked out of the warm castle into the slightly chilly outside, the huge wooden doors dwarfing her easily. She had definatly reason to feel at any danger here. She had seen the huge locks that dominated the inside of the doors. She couldn't think of anything that could unlock something like that...
Kendra stepped into the courtyard, already milling with students, sitting around and talking to friends from their own or other houses. Kendra hadn't met anyone from the other towers yet, apart from when she had been sorted, which seemed ages ago, even if it was only a couple of days. She had settled in easily at this place, becoming used to her new home when she hadn't even explored half the areas that lay within the castles old walls. She knew which places were forbidden, and that was it. Question was, of course, why they were forbidden, but such things were not to be found out.. at least not yet.
She found at seat to sit on and dug out her charms book, reading through some spells before her next lesson, wanting to learn more than what had already been told. She began to make notes in the leather bound book she had been given by her parents last christmas before her mind drifted away and she instead started to draw the house elf she had seen at the great feast at the beginning of term. Kendra wished to find out more about the species some how. Maybe talk to them? The question was how, of course.

"The new bow is faaarrrr better!" she said. "It's strung with Unicorn hair instead of horse hair and it makes the sound a lot smoother, hang on." She took her other bow from her case - always good to have a spare - a horse hair bow, this one, and struck out a note. Sure, it sounded good, but when she picked up her unicorn hair bow and played the same note it sounded... a lot more... well... nicer. It was difficult to explain with words. "See?" she said, replacing the horse hair bow.
Aurora nodded, "Hmm, evidently." she said, smiling. "I like it, it suits you." she said, reaching over to ruffle it. Mostly to annoy him, but he was cute! "And so do they." Aurora put her hand to her own ears to make sure her earrings were still there - out of habit, she lost earrings on a regular basis. Yup, both there. "Summer was mostly fabulous, actually. I went to Disney World." Which was wonderful!
"Oh yes, rather a lot." Though he still had the cute Daichi-face - she wasn't actually going to say that, it might embarrass him or something. "I'm sure Jonathan knows exactly who you are." she said, knowing that the older Slytherin was anything but stupid, and if even Aurora - who was highly unobservant when she had a violin in her hands - could recognise Daichi then he surely could.
So she wasn't a prodigy but only started to learn at age for! Makes sense. What had he been doing when he was for? Ah yes, going to the scariest place on earth . AKA the hospital when he had fallen off the swing.... "I know you're going to pass the exam~!" he said after a moment of silence and held his fist in the air as if to say. * you go girl!*
Daichi then listened as Aurora was talking about the bow. He watched curiously as she attached the first bow and played a note before switching it to the other. There...was... a difference? O_____o
He didn't really hear it so that that mean he wasn't musically gifted like he wasn't magically gifted? Siiiigh... But still, he didn't want to come over as stupid so he smiled at her and nodded his head. "I hear it, it sounds much better!" He lied.
Daichi felt his cheeks blazing fire when Aurora commented that the new look suited him. "Really?" he asked and scratched the back of his head. "T-thanks~" He chuckled when he saw how the girl was checking her own earrings and he figured it was something people with earrings just did. They always checked them if they were still there. (And then panic when it went lost~)
"Disn..ey..world?" What on earth was that?! Daichi might be a halfblood , but that didn't mean he knew everything about the muggle world....or was Disney Land a magical place he didn't know about? "Eeh...cool?"
And then the answer came that made him drop his mouth open yet again. Jonathan...knew? Ppppfffft! YEAH RIGHT! Daichi knew he was winning this game. "NUHUH!" he said loudly as he shook his head no. "Jonathan is stupid..." O__o "NO WAIT, i didn't mean that!" he quickly looked around for the person. "If he knows who i am then why not say it? What's the use in pretending then?" oh ho! He was so smart

Seriously, she was studying and practicing for this exam every day, did she really have to give up her and Kennedy's free time for more music? Not that she didn't enjoy it, she loved it. Just in moderation.
"Not everyone can tell, I suppose." she said, chuckling softly. "I just play a lot... you kinda get used to the changes in the music." she explained, running a finger down the length of her shiny new bow. She put her violin up again and played a few long, slooooow notes. "I just... don't you think music is wonderful?" She kinda wished she hadn't said that - it wasn't the way she usually spoke... but music was magical... it made her think differently.
"No problem!" she said, grinning as he blushed. That reminded her, "Has Kenny seen you yet?" she asked, chuckling. She knew how much Daichi liked Kennedy, and wondered if Kenny had noticed the kid was all different looking...
Aurora blinked... "Oh, yeah, it's this muggle place. Really cool actually - they call it a theme park." She tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear. "I'd never heard of it before Hogwarts - I'm pureblood - but it's full of rides and food and stuff." And cake! But only because it was her birthday...
Laughing, Aurora said, "He's a Slytherin, he can't be stupid." Poor Daichi... "I think he's just playing with you. You know... for fun..?" Did Daichi really think Jonathan didn't know..? Had Aurora just ruined Jonathan's game..? Oops...
At Cornelius' announcement, Eino drew back, as though a balloon had popped right in front of his face. He was going to come in? Where, exactly? Apparently this was all very clear to Cornelius, and apparently very exciting too, but Eino wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He slowly leaned forward as Cornelius proceeded to speak and clarify himself. Help? Eino could use some help he just didn't know how Cornelius could help him. "Yes." Eino replied dryly, when Cornelius asked him if he would want to be with her. He did, but he never envisioned himself with her, he just enjoyed her company.
Then, he got an idea. "Why don't you ask her out?" Eino said poking Cornelius' chest to emphasize the you part. If Sierra accepted then Eino would know she wasn't nearly as interested in him as he was interested in her, because he wouldn't want to go out with anyone else other than Sierra. He absolutely loved her company; all other girls paled in comparison to her. They were like little lizards, but Sierra was the whole fire-breathing, tail-swinging, claw-clawing, men-killing dragon.
The plan should make him nervous, but surprisingly, it didn't. He had just recently met Cornelius, but he trusted him. "That would be truly wonderful and extremely helpful." He said and paused to think about the possible down-sides, but didn't find any. "If she does accept, and you two end up dating, it will only encourage my determination to domesticate dragons so that I may sic them on you." He said very innocently and matter-of-factly, which might have led Cornelius to believe he was joking, but he wasn't.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."
Adam decided that since it was such a nice day outside that it would be a shame to sit in the Gryffindor Common Room all day, so he contacted Louisa wondering if she'd like to hang out, and upon her agreeing he made his way down. Looking at one of the opening benches Adam wandered over to it, plopping down gently, looking out at the clear skies.

Cornelius grinned yet again as Eino announced that he did, indeed, want to be with this girl, the only confirmation he needed to begin to try to help. Sitting up and preparing to explain, he opened his mouth to speak only to find that Eino was starting this conversation himself...with the most ridiculous request he had ever heard in his life. Suggesting that he himself (Cornelius!, in case you forgot!) should ask this girl out. "WHAT?!" he blurted out the second he had registered that Eino's suggestion was serious. "You're kidding..." he hoped aloud, brows furrowing slightly as Eino said it would be 'wonderful and helpful'.
He listened as Eino then explained that if Sierra accepted, and they ended up dating, it would just provide more inspiration for Eino to domesticate dragons to 'sic on him'. Cornelius burst into a string of chuckles, obviously taking this as a joke, and finding it amusing. Eino could not be serious about any part of this situation! How would this help at all? He still hadn't received any explanation about that. But as Eino didn't start laughing along with him, and kept his face of honest truth, Cornelius's chuckles quieted quickly and his eyes widened. Dragons?!
"Whoa, whoa," he said upon realizing that Eino was truly serious about this dragon plan. And this girl plan too! "First of all! You have made no plausible explanation for why me asking her out would do anything for your potential relationship with her," Cornelius pointed out, raising his eyebrows at him. "And secondly, even if I did go along with this no-sense-plan of yours, and she said yes, which she wouldn't..." Cornelius really had no way of truly knowing this, but he was pretty positive that this girl must've liked Eino to some extent. Or at least like him more than some random guy (being Cornelius in this situation). And if she didn't, she wasn't worth it anyway! "...You honestly think I'd just go out with her?" he asked with honest surprise in his voice.
Sure, he and Eino hadn't been friends for more than a few days, but he wasn't about to even consider going out with some girl that Eino so clearly liked! "If she actually said yes, I'd say no!"

Taryn was a little distracted from her school work. She was well aware that the term had only just started and this was not a good way to begin, but she couldn't help it! She desperately wanted to soak in the last days of summer, which meant spending most of her time outside. That also meant that she increased her chances of seeing the Groundskeeper... hehe.
Today, she decided to take a seat in the courtyard. She took up a whole bench, one leg bent so that she could prop the notebook on it. She was writing a letter to Tori. She was actually supposed to be writing a reply to her Grandmother's letter, but BFFs came first.

Aspen was pretty well up-to-date with her schoolwork and rewarded herself with a bit of sunshine for not procrastinating. Plus, she wanted to check out the Grounds, see if anything had changed.
Maybe measure a tree or two early in the term. Important things, obviously.
She noted Taryn on her way and detoured to go say hi to her. Or, well, SMILE at her friend. She looked busy to Aspen, so the young Ravenclaw only lingered around Taryn. Lingered.

There was a shadow cast over her notebook and Taryn squinted at the paper, finishing a sentence in the darkness. Only then did she turn to look at the lingerer.
Aspen was being creepy.
"Hey!" She scooted over on the bench, bringing her legs down and making room for her friend to sit with her, "What brings you out here? Besides watching people over their shoulders?" Hehe. She stuck out her tongue.

"Sorry," Aspen shrugged, pleasant-like, and did take the offered seat. She hadn't been reading over Taryn's shoulder though. Aspen wasn't that nosy.
"I don't know, really. Just felt compelled to come outside."
She didn't ask why Taryn was outside. Obviously she needed better light to write than the Slytherin dungeons provided. "I'll look up a better lighting charm for you."
...said the Ravenclaw, as if that made sense outside of her head.

"Better than sunlight?" Taryn asked, wrinkling her forehead with confusion. She sort of felt like she'd missed part of that thought. Oh well. She was pretty used to Aspen and her.. Aspen-ness.
"I was writing to Tori." Taryn offered with a shrug. "It's weird not having her here." Super weird, Taryn didn't KNOW a Hogwarts without Tori. But Taryn didn't mind the distraction of her other BFF. She leaned against the wall and pulled her knees up to wrap her arms around them, "What's up?"
