The library is a perfect place to study, so long as you don't disturb any of your peers in the process. Pull up a chair by yourself or with a few classmates in order to catch up on your homework.
Angelina laughed a little and said "I bet it can. I'm just not a math person too much." Looking up from her parchment Angelina asked Sophie, "Is Arithmancy just about math and numbers?" She wondered she doesn't really know what Arithmancy is.
Happily Angelina looked down at her Muggle Studies homework to see it was complete. Looking over what she wrote one more time, she happily placed it in her bag with her quill and ink. She sat back in her chair to continue hanging out with Glenn, Sophie, and Nate(?).
Angelina looked over at Glenn and tried thinking of a name. "I don't know," she said in reply. She really wasn't good with names! "What is your mermishy like?" Angelina didn't really know what a mermishy was, hopefully the two could inform them of it. Man she really should take Care of Magical Creaters, than she wouldn't be asking all this.
When Glenn mentioned Herbology Angelina smiled and said, "Thats why I like it to. Don't have to worry about much, just taking care of a plant." Angelina continued listening to Glenn talk about the Hogwarts subjects, what she liked and didn't. Angelina thought was the type for history. She read all the time, causing her to run into a lot of books about history, so she would do well in that class. In cuirousity she asked, "Has History of Magic started at all this term?" If it did and she missed it, she will freak!
Sophie looked back up at Angelina. "You know... I have no idea!" she grinned. "I just did the calculus stuff and checked a couple of things on my textbook. It was all talking about my day, month and whatever. It sounded something like a crazy horoscope thingy, but with math! Also, we calculated something with the letters of our names. I'm not sure what that was about, though."
She heard Angelina and Glenn's discussion. "My mum's a naturalist and herbology researcher. I used to think I hated herbology and plants, but I figured out that I didn't like it because she never let me do the fun job!" she explained smirking. It was actually interesting how her mum treated her plants. Sometimes they seemed to be more important than her own life! Sophie thought that was kind of weird sometimes, but in a funny way. "And yes, we have already had a History of Magic lesson. It was at the same time as Care of Magical Creatures! Professor Scabior and Professor Williamson gave us one mixed lesson! Then we all went into the Black Lake!! It was really scary!"
Sophie was good at anything that had a practical part. She didn't enjoy theory all that much. That's why she didn't have any fun with History of Magic and muggle History as well. "Arithmancy can be cool if you like math!" she said happily. She knew that it was more than just numbers, but well, she had no idea what they were for. "I haven't figured out a lot about it yet, though. But still, the math part is fun!"
Looking back at her parchment, Sophie kept writing away!
Stopping to look up at Glenn when the older Hufflepuff asked about mermish names, she still had the tip of her quill touching the parchment. "My merperson is called Merseeno!" she smiled. She thought this name sounded just right for a merperson. "He's in trouble right now, poor guy!" saying that, she faced her work and started writing really fast again.

"Merseeno," Glenn murmured, "Have any other good names I can steal?" She joked, raising an eyebrow goofily at her. "I don't usually write my stories from the point of view of guys," Glenn said, probably because they were so confusing, "How long are you going to make yours?"
At Angelina's question Glenn answered, "Well, sort off. I thought that it was only maths so I was hesitant to take the class but it turns out it's quite fun. The stuff that we've done at the moment have only been simple maths, just reducing numbers and adding them together to get a single number that has a certain meaning." She explained, "It's almost like an anti Herbology in how much you have to think, but I like that too."
"Oh, History of Magic was joint with Care of Magical Creatures, though I suppose there'll be a single lesson for it soon." Glenn said to Angelina, nodding.

Sophie giggled. "I don't know where I got this name from... it sort of just popped in my head." she looked down at her parchment, as if she was watching Merseeno do something. "Will you merperson be female then?" she asked looking back at Glenn. "How about Saithy? Or Mardeena... or Gerdalen." she laughed at those weird names. "These sound mermishy enough to me!" she said sticking her tongue out sideways. "Well, mine's gonna be as long as it goes... I don't have an ending yet, and I might just add more information. I have three paragraphs so far!"

She dipped her quill in some ink and set about writing a paragraph or so of her story, including the names that Sophie had given her. "Thanks," She said, "For giving me the names" She smiled and continued writing, a little more immersed in her work than before.
Lilly sat down at the study tables. It was much quieter here, so she could actually hear herself think. She pulled the sketchpad out of her bag, trying again to complete the homework. It took at least three more tries until she drew a frame to be the tiniest bit proud of. It had a few bits that had been rubbed out and redrawn so it was a bit messy. She tried to think of ways to make it look pretty. Her chair wobbled. It was distracting. There were no other chairs left. Lilly stood up to go somewhere else. In the libary, of couse, because it was so quiet and relaxed.

Sighing Angelina places her head down on the table, "I really need to start taking more classes! I feel like such a slacker," Angelina told Glenn and Sophie. She really did though. Her first year she took nearly ever class. This year she took four? She just needed to take the second course of these classes. *Angelina than thought she should write this down. Taking her planner out of her bag along with her quill and ink bottle she began to write:
SPOILER!!: reminder
GO TO ARITHMANCY, CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES, HERBOLOGY, MUGGLE STUDIES, ASTRONOMY AND HISTORY OF MAGIC CLASS SECONd COURSE!!
She felt a little better. She knew she was going to go no matter what! Earn her house more house points! They did win last year and they will try to win again.
At Sophie's comment about her mother being a Herbology researcher, Angelina smiled wide, gasped and said, "Sophie thats so cool! In my backyard my mum gave me a little spot to plant some plants and take care of them, but only during summer. I thought I would grow away from them and not get to take care of the plants, but now here I can in Herbology! It's great, plus I can learn new tips!"

When they started talking about Herbology and planting things at home, Glenn decided to talk as well. She looked up from her work, and smiled at Sophie telling Angelina about her mother being a Herbology Researcher, "I live on the edge of Sherwood Forest," She said, "It has some magical creatures in there so we have to be careful of what we plant." Glenn shrugged, "We don't want animals coming into our garden and eating them all. But I have a flutterby bush hanging in my room." Glenn's eyes sparkled then dulled for a second, her mum had promised to take care of it while she was gone, but she wasn't sure whether her mum would keep that promise.
Big mistake. How was Hunter supposed to know that she was going to start crying harder? He couldn't believe what was going on here. And if things weren't bad enough, Hailey clinged to him and soaked up his whole left shoulder. Sure, water (tears) comes out but the wrinkles were a different story. He probably wouldn't ever be able to wear it again but he knew his cousin was hurting. Hunter continued to rub her back and he tried to quietly shush her. "Nooo, he doesn't! I promise, hate is the last thing he feels for you." He wasn't going to be the one to tell her how Mikey felt but he wanted to make her stop crying. "You are his best friend, remember?" Hunter pulled her off of him and looked at her. "It's my fault. He's just upset. He'll get over it, I promise." He moved a strand of hair behind her hair and ignored his angry stomach.
Yes, this was Hailey Morrison--a big, blubbering baby. At the age of fifteen. Charming, right?
As she tried to stop the flow of tears, Hunter's comforting words...well, comforted her. That's what they were for, right?
"Really? You really think so?" She asked. The last thing he feels for her...well then it was still something Mikey must feel! And for her! Oh gawsh, this was NOT helping.
The poor Gryffie wiped her eyes off with her robes, as well as her runny nose (she wasn't slick with manners, kay?) as her cousin released her. He enforced the word best friend, which managed to bring Hailey back to the reality of things.
Yes, he was right. Mikey couldn't hate her--not yet anyway. And then Hunter blamed himself for what had happened. She couldn't lie and say it wasn't his fault cause it WAS but it was nice of him to admit it. At least she could say she had done nothing wrong.
Her tears had subsided mostly but the occasional one still peeped out. Hailey nodded at him and then collected her things again.
"Thanks, Hunter," She said gratefully, flashing him a watery smile. He sure did how to make people feel better. And he didn't get mad about the crying! What a great guy.
"I should...go look for him," Hailey said quietly, meaning Mikey. She just wanted to be doubly sure that Mikey really didn't hate her.
So she lugged her bag over her shoulder and gave Hunter one last look.
"Well it's cool." Glenn said, she listened to Sophie say a couple of female mermishy names, "I think it'll be female, yes. That was what she was interested in!

"I had my fair share of seeds and bushlings to take care of, but mum only let my water most of the plants we have." she said looking from Glenn to Angelina. "She says that she's protecting both me and the plants." she giggled. She liked the way her mum thought, it was funny. But Sophie was sure she would never harm a plant! At least not intentionally, of course. "It was actually in Herbology class that I took full care of a plant for the first time ever! And I loved it!" Sophie finished with a wide smile.

Weaving her way through tables, Ellie found one tucked in the back corner of the library and dropped her school bag in a chair. She sat down and rummaged through it until she pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil. Ellie didn't really like pencils, but it would have to do it she was drawing something.
She bit her knuckle for a second, trying to imagine a picture frame in her head. Then she put her pencil to paper and started sketching it out. She wanted to try something different than what she made in class, so Ellie decided to draw an oval picture frame, hoping the square paper would shape into the right form.
So, she put her pencil on the paper, drawing a very intricate and elaborate oval frame. She made lots of swirly lines - kind of like vines or wires - around the edges. She erased a lot and redrew a lot, until...
There. She got the drawing done! Now she just had to make it into a frame...

Angelina looked over and listened to Glenn talking about her flutterby bush. "Aw, that so cool," Angelina said, "We used to have one in our house." She doesn't remember why they don't anymore though... Angelina thought of what Sophie said about her mum. "I want to meet your mum she sounds like the perfect person to talk to about Herbology," Angelina paused for a moment and added, "Not to act weird though about it." She hoped she didn't seem like a freak saying that, just Sophie's mum seemed cool. "I'd love to learn as much as I can about plants," she added.
Turning to Sophie, "Oh thats fine. I'd just like to catch up a little on the math part, if I am going to take the second course- well if they end up having one." She hoped they will!
With hearing Sophie's giggle Angelina looked up to see what the problem was. Once she saw it was just a giggle, Angelina smiled and giggled back a little.

Sophie smiled at Angelina when the girl said she wanted to meet her mum. "Yeah, my mum's pretty awesome!" and a really good naturalist, she should add, but didn't. "We could arrange some visits in the summer, if you want!" her parents loved meeting new people, and Sophie was sure her mum would love to share her herbology knowledge. "I can see that you really like Herbology!" she said raising both of her eyebrows. "That's nice!"
"Cool, I can sure help you with the math part!" Sophie replied happily. Then she looked back down at her CoMC/HoM homework. What would Merseeno do now?? Neither Sophie nor Merseeno himself knew...

Alright. Now that her frame was sketched out, Ellie decided it would be best to practice transforming the paper into a frame now, before she tried the whole thing. Better safe than sorry, right?
Getting out her wand, Ellie concentrated on her drawing in front of her and what she wanted it to look like in real life. She took a deep breath and said, "Statua Habitum," while tracing the edges of the paper.
The paper immediately began moving and transforming, but it was rather slow. Slower than what she had done in class. Ellie pursed her lips and waited until the transformation was done. The paper had stopped moving, but it wasn't an oval shape, like she had wanted. It was more square or rectangular, like the paper...
Sophie smiled at Angelina when the girl said she wanted to meet her mum. "Yeah, my mum's pretty awesome!" and a really good naturalist, she should add, but didn't. Smiling Angelina, "That would be fun," she said about meeting over the summer. Which seemed like a far time away again... No matter how much she liked being at Hogwarts, she loved summer time!
"Thanks," she told Sophie with a wide smile. While Sophie turned to her homework Angelina looked around thinking of something to do. Once she saw some books on the bookshelf, she remembered the book she was in the middle of read. Angelina then took her book out of her bag, and started off where she left off.
Ari's excitement grew by the minute as she was looking at the photos brought by her friend. She hadn't felt like this since she had discovered a trunk full of her Gran's stuff from her time at Hogwarts in the attic, which she had searched from top to bottom (and nicked some of the items without mentioning it to her grandmother. What? It was not like she was using them anymore.)
Moving on. 'Wow, these are really great pictures. Our parents look like they really knew how to have fun.' she smiled, realizing that she and Gwen were becoming very much like their mothers. Her good disposition remained until she noticed her bestie's trembling hands. 'Gwen? Are you all right?' the Gryffindor asked, worried. When her friend shoved the last picture into her hand Ariadne eyed it suspiciously. It was her mum. And a man. Not her uncle Tristan. Not anyone she knew. The realization started to sink in as Gwen mentioned something about the writing on the back.
Ari then turned the picture and the words confirmed her conclusion. 'Ava and Lloyd, summer 2061'. That was exactly two years before Ari had been born. Her mum and dad, when they were together and happy. So that was what her dad looked like! He was pretty handsome. But also the one who had left Ava and Ari without looking back. The girl was speechless. She didn't know what to say, she held her hand over her mouth trying not to gape in shock.
Still, a part of her brain that was still functioning reminded her that this was the first picture of her dad she had ever seen, and a clue to find him and contact him. It was the beginning she had always hoped for. She slowly got up, walked over to Gwen and gave her a big hug. 'Thank you.' the girl said simply, holding on to Gwen for dear life. 'I must not cry.'
‘Great. Yes. Great. Yes they are’, the third year mumbled and gathered them all in a stack. ‘Yes. I’m perfectly fine’, she lied and looked at her friend. Oh, you terrible liar, the girl told herself and tried to seem calm and NORMAL, however, failing to do so. After passing the last picture to Ari, the third year looked a bit puzzled. Did she realize he might be her dad or… not yet?, she asked herself and watched Ariadne turn the picture to read what was written on the back.
*gulp*
As she waited for Ari to do something really impulsive and freak her out, Gwen just stood frozen and STARED at her bestie. Maybe she will scream… naah- that’s not very Ariadne-like. Maybe she won’t say anything- nope. Not really. Or maybe she’ll cry. Yes, that is more possible. But- if she cries… what should I do? Hmm- what do I have to do? Cheer her up? Let her cry? No… she won’t cry!, Gwen decided and looked back at her.
Noticing that Ari was about to say something, Gwendolyn held her breath. HUH?! Thank you?!?! She really wasn’t expecting that. Hugging Ari back, the third year realized this was one of the moments when she didn't have to say anything.

After she had sketched about her 'wannabe' frame, Now Raven decided to looked for a better photograph for this frame and... To whom she would give the photo. Yeah. To whom?
I can think about that later. She murmured. Now she took her photo album and chose one of them. Merlin! It was soooo many! But some of them were her own photograph with Adler, her brother.
AHA!
Raven remembered that she had taken photograph with Zhenya and Desiree in Burton Cottage. She took it last summer when three of them spent summer together in Zhenya's house. She took it and now.. She knew to whom she would give that.
She put the photograph below the paper that she had drawn square. It's time to concentrate
"Statua Habitum." but she didn't get a frame that she wanted.
"Tsk.. Reverto!"

It's a fairytale evening, and you want the entire event to be totally dazzling and
a real experience with the friendliest people around you.
Wist entered the Library to do homework. She sat down at the study tables. Now let's start, she thought to herself.
Then she simply stared at the homework. And thought about all the places she had NOT been able to explore. MEH. But there was alot of homework. Nah. She'd do it later.
And then a brilliant idea hit her. She smirked and stood up to leave the library.
Vashti tried not to take that as a bad sign. It was natural that he'd be shocked, even speechless. Who would actually kiss her, right? Besides Anakin, obviously. But when he pulled his hand away, she wasn't sure she could take that as anything but a bad sign.
He was mad at her. And she almost couldn't blame him for it.
As the dreadful, tense silence continued, she drew her hand back as well and set them both in her lap, not really sure what to do. Should she speak? Apologize? Leave? Give him some space? She honestly had no idea.
But then, finally, he spoke, but it was only one word. Who?
Vashti hesitated only briefly before answering, "Dallin." Did he know who that was? She wasn't sure, but she decided to wait and see what else he might say or ask. If he said anything at all.
Right now, Anakin was so thankful for his Da having pushed for the procedure during the summer. He wouldn't have to look at her face, to leave his face open for scrutiny. He didn't want her to see the conflicting emotions flashing across his face; anger and insecurity.
Hadn't he had the conversation with her before about how there were probably millions of guys at Hogwarts who would kill to be in his shoes? To be dating her? Chuckling almost bitterly to himself, he couldn't help but voice the question flashing through his head. "Believe me now?" He didn't say it loudly, it was more of an aloud musing to himself. He wasn't looking for any answer, since she probably wouldn't even really understand what he was mumbling about...
...Dallin? Anakin could put a face to the name, but he'd never really met the boy personally. He knew he was their year, and in Ravenclaw. But Anakin had thought he'd had a girlfriend. Had that changed? Perhaps it had, he wasn't really sure. "Did..." he stopped himself briefly unsure if that was what he really wanted to ask. "Is this you trying to let me down easy?"
He didn't think she'd purposefully kiss someone while she was dating him, An knew her better then that, but he still wondered if this was her trying to cut him out as nicely as possible.

"Believe me now?"
"What?" she asked, even though she wasn't sure whether he had actually directed the question at her. But he had actually spoken, and Vashti was going to try to keep the conversation going until he finally decided he couldn't stand to be around her now or let her know how mad he was - as much as both of those things would hurt, at least she wouldn't be left sitting in this dreadful silence, wondering with increasing negativity how angry he must be at her.
That really wasn't the question she'd expected though. "Believe me now?" What did that mean? When and about what had she not believed him, and what about this situation would make her believe whatever it was now?
Then he asked an even stranger question. "Is this you trying to let me down easy?" How did another guy kissing her mean she was trying to let him down e-
Oh.
OH.
Did he... Did... REALLY? THAT was what he thought this was about?
"You're so dumb." She said it softly but fondly, and if one looked closely enough, they would see a faint smile on her lips. "You really think that's what this is about?" Really, the fact that he thought any guy, especially Dallin, could possibly change her mind about dating him was pure stupidity. "Maybe you really are twisted by the dark side." He'd have to be to think something silly like that. Not to mention the fact that he didn't seem to be mad at her right now? Definitely twisted by the dark side.

Now, it was time for take two on just the picture frame. Ellie wanted to perfect that before she tried transforming the frame to go over her picture. Twirling the pencil between her fingers, Ellie stared at her sketched picture frame, trying to think of how to improve the transformation.
It had turned out more boxy than she would have hoped. So maybe... instead of tracing around the paper, she should trace around the oval frame? Hm. Sure, it was worth a shot.
Ellie put her wand to the paper, traced around the drawing of the oval frame and said, "Statua Habitum."
The paper immediately transformed into her unique and ornate oval shaped picture frame. Ellie squeed a little bit with a huge grin. It worked!
"Reverto," she said and the frame returned to it's paper state. Now she just had to put her picture in it and do it again.

"That would be really cool to visit during the summer!" Glenn said, "I could probably have you two around as well, I mean, if you'd want to?" She smiled, her mother would not like that as much as Glenn did, but she was positive that her father would let her have some friends around.
Glenn dipped her quill in some ink and wrote in her neatest handwriting on her piece of parchment that she had been writing her story. She wrote another couple of paragraphs and finished up, putting down her quill and stretching dramatically.
"Another one down, only a couple more to go." Glenn rolled her parchment into a scroll and placed it in her bag, pulling out another scroll of parchment she had put away before.
Hmm. "What should I do for D?" She murmured to herself, "Drinks is what "D" stands for." She said, writing it down beside the D. That would work, now, next letter.
"What?" she asked, even though she wasn't sure whether he had actually directed the question at her. Anakin didn't turn to look at her when she'd questioned what he was talking about, and the boy simply shrugged. "Long time ago we talked about how there were guys out there who liked you--You didn't believe me that there was anyone besides me." Did she now? Because this guy must have liked her to kiss her, right? He wasn't a type that just did it per random, right?
An wasn't sure if there was anyone whoever DID that.
Once he'd posed the question, Ani brought his hand up to self consciously mess with his hair, and rub the back of his neck. Maybe he didn't want to know her answer. Wait. What? Was he dumb?
The Puff's head whipped around to look at her, and his brow furrowed on it's own. "What?" She didn't sound, or look angry. In fact, she almost looked like she had the tiniest hint of a smile on her face.
Merlin, he was more confused then ever now.
"Well...isn't it? You're not trying to tell me you wisened up and realized you could do better?" Because she probably could. He didn't think he deserved her, but then again Ani probably could name any guy he'd ever met who did. She was that special, he thought so anyways.

She raised an eyebrow. Oh, that conversation? Pffft. "Dallin doesn't like me." Not like THAT anyway. At least he better not."He only kissed me because the girl he actually likes was nearby and he wanted to make her jealous." That was what she'd assumed anyway. It wasn't unlikely. She was sure Dallin didn't care who the girl he kissed was, so long as Ellie saw it.
That was her theory anyway, and she was sticking to it.
"So no, I don't believe you." Not in the slightest.
And now it was his turn to say "What?" apparently. And...do better?
"No, because that isn't possible," she replied, shaking her head. "You're the best. You can't get better than best." Besides, if anyone needed to wisen up and realize they could do better, it was him. If she said that though, he'd probably protest like a good boyfriend, so she wouldn't add that into the conversation. At least not now - especially not now, actually.

Deeeeep breaths.
It was now time to transform the paper into the frame, making it fold over the picture provided. Ellie took several deep breaths, not sure why she was so anxious about this. There was always reverto to fix anything she goofed up.
Placing the picture on the drawing of her frame, Ellie grabbed her wand again and traced the edges of her picture. "Statua Habitum." Her mind flailed internally and the paper began to fold over the picture... all wrong. O__o
It looked kind of horrendous. Not at all what she wanted. "Er... Reverto," she said, and it returned to it's original state. Hum. Apparently she would have to try again. And concentrate more.

It seemed like since the weather was getting colder outside, it meant that Matt spent more time inside the school and unfortunately with that had come the fact that he ended up studying for NEWTs. Even though it had been November and the exams weren't until June, just the mere thought of them had made him a little frustrated, all the studying in the world wasn't about to change that; however that didn't mean that he was just going to stop studying. And with that idea, he took a seat at an empty study table and opened up the Ancient Runes textbook only because that was the subject that just made everything complicated. Maybe it's better to just review that now, you promised Stella that you were going to help her study for Runes after all. That was true, he didn't want to go back on his word.
