The library is a perfect place to study, so long as you don't disturb any of your peers in the process. Pull up a chair by yourself or with a few classmates in order to catch up on your homework.
"But still, if someone doesn't want to go swimming, you shouldn't have to push them into the lake," he said, crossing his arms. Now it wasn't so hard to believe that Rose and Hunter were related to each other. They both obviously didn't think straight or even think at all before they did something. But Mikey snorted to Hunter's comment about him being charming. It was funny since there was absolutely nothing charming about this twit. "Is there any reason for me to be 'nice' to you when you almost drowned my friend?" Of course not. It would be like Mikey pushing rose into the lake after countless times she said she didn't want to go swimming. Hunter wouldn't forgive him as quickly and he thought Aria was foolish to do that for Hunter.
This girl?
Oh, that girl.
"No, she isn't the girl. That would just be completely awkward if she were the girl," Mikey answered calmly.
Explain? Mikey thought it was pretty much self-explanatory. But this was Hailey he was talking to after all. "I told Hunter that there's this girl who's homework I'm always doing. He wanted to know who it was but I wouldn't tell him because he was being a nosy twit. So now he finally found out it was you and he's in a bit of shock," the nerd explained. well, obviously lied but he wasn't going to let Hunter win this little stupid "charming" game of his.

He could feel pressure growing in his head now and he knew he was getting one of those headaches he often got when arguing with Aria. It was no wonder why they were friends! How his sweet cousin became friends with him, aside from getting him to do her homework, Hunter would never get. They were total opposites from what he could tell. " Thank you, Hailey. I knew you would understand." And then she called him charming as well! He knew he loved this girl for a reason! If Hunter ever need to burn extra calories all he'd have to do is be around Michael. With the number of times he's glared at him, Hunter was almost positive he burned off all of the calories he'd gained in the past month or so. Maybe he would even completely stop "working out" altogether and just sit around Aria and Mikey at the same time! Sure, they'd bring down his confidence quite a bit, but at least he'd lose some weight. Not that he's gained weight yet, it's still waiting to kick in. Anyway..."I don't see how, no matter what you say, you're still rude. He was slowly regretting ever coming here. He'd have gotten more studying done back in the common room...or at a quidditch game. "I know she's your friend. Granted, I don't actually know why, but fine, it's your life. But I would never try and drown a person." Especially not a girl. That's just wrong. Who drowns girls? He let out a very long and very loud sigh. "Let's just drop it?" He knew the subject would just come back up the next time they saw each other anyway.
Then Hunter sat back to let Mikey explain what exactly was going on here. He'd have to tell his best friend the truth. What kind of best friend wouldn't? "What?" Apparently, Mikey is that best friend. Hunter scoffed and rolled his eyes. What was the boy so afraid of? Did he approve of him crushing on his cousin? Not really. But that didn't mean he shouldn't tell her anyway! "You're a liar!" Hunter stood up, sat down, stood up, and sat down again. "You've got to be kiddiiing." Then he threw his head down against the table with a smack and wished it could explain things he wasn't quite understanding in life. So maybe he was a bit of a drama queen. What did anyone expect?
Hailey continued to watch as things between Hunter and Mikey heightened. Uh-oh--it didn't look like her cousin and best friend were getting along at all. And all over stupid Aria! JEEZ! And so Hailey went back to hating her guts. And why was Mikey even defending Aria, anyway? It didn't seem like they liked each other very much and now he was calling her 'my friend.' Haily made gagging noises when she heard this, of course, but tried to pass it off as a cough.
She was glad when Hunter finally asked to drop the subject, and she was only too happy to comply. "Yeahhh, Mikey. Just drop it," She said with a roll of her eyes.
But then things went back to that awkwaaaard stage. Because as dull as Hailey was, she could certainly tell when she was being played. Or thought she could.
So when Mikey said, 'No, she isn't the girl. That would just be completely awkward if she were the girl,' Hailey's brow wrinkled in confusion. And then the Ravie proceeded to say that she was the one whom, he did all the homework for, much to Hunter's surprise. What?!
"But...but you just said I wasn't the girl...and now you're saying I am," She trailed off, watching him and then stared at Hunter. She didn't like puzzles, okay! She had enough trouble finding her socks in the morning.
But then the tables turned--Hunter apparently didn't agree with Mikey's answer, either and had evidently called him--a liar? What? Now Hailey's eyes were as big as saucers as she witnessed her agitated cousin.
Mikey wouldn't lie to her...would he? It hurt her to think so but Hunter had said so himself. And she trusted Hunter. But her Slytherin cousin could have been misinformed or something.
Still, Hailey remained unsure and her eyes, showing the hurt, turned to the dark haired boy she called her best friend.

Okay, so maybe friend wasn't the exact word to use. But Mikey had known Aria longer than these two combined and he was usually at her grandmother's house with his. But the term friend was kind of appropriate after all. And now Hunter asked to drop the subject? Tough luck since Mikey knew he wouldn't drop the 'girl' subject and would keep running his mouth. And to add on onto the whole situation, Hailey kept agreeing with everything Hunter was saying and proposing. Nice to know she had chosen her side, all because she didn't like Aria. But Mikey didn't say anything to her. He just glared at her hard for the first time ever. It was easy to see he was losing his patience with them both. "I'm not lying about anything. You're the one who misunderstood what I said," he said, picking his things up and placing them into his bag.
"I'm talking about another girl, Rose," was all he said before getting up. "Now if you Scots don't mind, I'll be going now. I don't feel like being around a certain little vampire and her cousin who thinks he's charming and he obviously has the charm of a dead slug!" Mikey added, a bit loudly, and not caring at this point if the librarian heard him or not. He turned on his heel and headed towards the door, but not before mentioning something to Rose. "Oh, and if you need help with your homework, I'm sure your charming cousin wouldn't mind racking his brain a bit for the answers," And with that, the nerdy Ravvie left his so called sanctuary.

The glares she was getting from Mikey were no help, of course. They just confused her even more. Then Mikey got up and explained that it was a misunderstanding--what a relief! She didn't think he'd lie to her after all. Cause that would just be rude and not nice. But why was he so keen on leaving? They hadn't even done the Charms homework yet!
When he mentioned that he was talking about another girl, Hailey just looked at him. She didn't ask what other girl cause she could tell he was probably getting angry, hence the packing up. And thinking she was leaving with him, she gathered her stuff as well.
But his next words made her stop. Scots? Dead slug?! Wait--was he jealous of Hunter or something? Was that even possible?!
Poor Hailey didn't know what to do. Her hand slipped on her paintbrushes and they landed in a heap on the floor. Thankfully, they were clean.
Mikey had said he didn't want to be around her. And that, was just plain mean.
His last words stung her as well. She grimaced when he spoke, the tears welling up in her eyes again. What had SHE done wrong?!
Slowly, she bent down to pick up the brushes, hastily wiping away the tears. She quickly stuffed her things in her bag, unable to look at Hunter at all.
It was all his fault! Why had he called Mikey a liar?
Along with Glenn, Angelina sat staring at her parchment in deep thought of what to write for the letter D. Once Glenn announced her changement from Muggle Studies homework to Care of Magical Creaters, Angelina nodded and placed her head on top of her thing looking doing at the letter D, seeming like it is waiting any day now to feel loved my some answers. She began to tap her quill on the table and though aloud, "D.. Huh? Did you.." she carried out the question searching for an ending, "Did you forget to place... Your...napkin on your lap at the beginning of the meal?" she guessed that could work for now, to feel like she accomplished something at lease!
Glenn sighed, "I guess I can't copy that answer from you then," She looked out of the corner of her eye at Angelina and smiled to show she was joking.
She carefully folded her Muggle Studies homework that was practically blank into her bag and pulled out a new piece of parchment. She had decided to catch up on her Care of Magical Creatures homework instead, besides, the Care of Magical Creatures homework was due back sooner than the other homework she had to catch up on.
She dipped her quill in some ink and bit her lip. She wrote a sentence before crossing it out again, unhappy with how it sounded. Glenn had chosen to choose the option of writing about her doll as a mermaid in an unusual time, she also had to draw a picture which she would worry about later.

Hunter was so upset, he could almost feel steam coming out of his ears. Not that he had a temper, really, but the guy was calling him names and lying to his cousin.
And it completely broke his heart when he heard what Mikey had to say about Hailey. Who cared if Mikey was jealous of Hunter and his amazing good looks and great manners? But for him to go off and talk to his best friend like that? He wasn't really sure what to do anymore. His baby cousin was crying and it was all his fault. Kneeling down on the floor, he helped pick up the rest of the paintbrushes and tried to catch Hailey's eye. No luck. "Hailey, darling? I'm so sorry." All he could do was shake his head and try to understand why in the world Mikey wouldn't just tell her how much he loved liked her. Hunter stood up and held out his hand to help her up. "I just....I'm sorry." There was something about the girls at this school that knew how to make him speechless and it never failed to be a horrible feeling.
Not even sure if she'd ever forgive him, Hunter just pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back. Now would be a great time for a tissue.

Even with tears practically blinding her, she could tell Hunter felt bad. First of all, he wasn't saying much. And then he dared to pick up her brushes for her. The brunette accepted them from his and nodded at his apology. It didn't seem as if words would be leaving her mouth anytime soon, unless you wanted a full out tantrum.
Taking the hand that was offered, she got up and closed her bad, wiping away some tears with the back of her hand. And before she could even utter 'bye' to Hunter, the boy had pulled her into a hug. Well great, just great. Hailey was a sucker for hugs, which just meant she was gonna cry more and probably latch onto Hunter for another fifteen minutes or so.
So the girl gripped his back and...wailed. Except the Librarian was nowhere to be found so she didn't get in trouble.
"He...he haaates me!" She warbled, her voice muffled by Hunter's robes.
Glenn sighed, "I guess I can't copy that answer from you then," She looked out of the corner of her eye at Angelina and smiled to show she was joking.

Angelina smiled and laughed a little tell it died down and saying, "it's hard though." once again she placed her head on the table after she finished writing something for D.
She decided to just ignore it for a little bit for now and asked Glenn, "What homework do you have for Care of Magical Creaters?" Angelina was so close to be taking that class, when at last minute decided not to. She was a bit glade though, all the homework was so hard. She just finished Herbology and a bunch of other classes homework, now once again she found her self with more. That's what she hated about school. Angelina decided to clear her head, and stop thinking of the negative. She smiled and looked up at Glenn.

"You should have chosen it as an option," Glenn insisted, "The lesson was terrifying but we learned loads." She shuddered at the memory, "We went into the lake using gillyweed and had to rescue what was most dear to us like in the Twi-wizard Tournament. Except, they were only doll versions of Harry Potter himself," Glenn reached into her bag and pulled out the doll. She still wasn't happy with the professors for doing that to her and all the students in the class, "These were charmed to look like person that was most important to us. We need to write a story about our doll in either a strange place or a strange time, like a bath tub or the twi-wizard tournament." She said a little bitterly, placing the doll on the table and staring at it for a few seconds, searching for some sort of inspiration for her story.

"That is so cute though!" Angelina said taking the doll and looking at it closely. She really did know what Harry potter looked, just what he did and about the scar glasses, but he didn't look like thiss in her mind. Although he is different looking than the doll, dolls like this don't show to much what someone looks like. Angelina handed the Harry Potter doll back to Glenn, who sat it on the table staring at it.
After a while Angelina spoke up, "Maybe I'll take Care of Magical Creaters lesson two, whenever it comes, of it does." some classes don't have more than one or two lessons, the maximum she has seen was three in her first year, but it was alright, it was her favorite class.
Angelina then grabbed her quill she placed down on top of her parchment of homework and dipped it in ink, and tried to think of something to write for I... Huh? I? That's hard! I know...? She didn't know what place here. Ice cream is for dessert- no that was geeky. I place my silver wear on my plate once I'm complete with my meal? Yes that would do, but it was a bit long.

"I hope so!" Glenn said, breaking her eye contact with the doll and glancing at Angelina. She really did hope that she would come to Care of Magic Creatures, if they were going to keep doing informative but creepy lesson like that it would be good to have as many friends as she could around her.
Glenn raised her quill and jotted down a couple of notes on her parchment, she had originally decided to choose the option of her doll's life as a merperson in an unusual time, but now she wasn't so sure, she might just do the other option. Hmmm.
Gustav and Jezz made way towards the study tables. He sat across from her once more as he put down his book. He looked up and whispered,"Do you have a quill and parchment with you?"he asked. He wanted to write something but he had forgotten to bring any writing materials with him.

Jezzabelle dropped the book on Arithmancy and smiled, "I do actually." She never went anywhere without a small bag of things. Out of it she pulled a quill and parchment for him. "Here ya go." She pulled some out for her self and debated as to whether or not she should just doodle aimlessly or actually attempt to read the book on a subject she wasn't fond of.

Big mistake. How was Hunter supposed to know that she was going to start crying harder? He couldn't believe what was going on here. And if things weren't bad enough, Hailey clinged to him and soaked up his whole left shoulder. Sure, water (tears) comes out but the wrinkles were a different story. He probably wouldn't ever be able to wear it again but he knew his cousin was hurting. Hunter continued to rub her back and he tried to quietly shush her. "Nooo, he doesn't! I promise, hate is the last thing he feels for you." He wasn't going to be the one to tell her how Mikey felt but he wanted to make her stop crying. "You are his best friend, remember?" Hunter pulled her off of him and looked at her. "It's my fault. He's just upset. He'll get over it, I promise." He moved a strand of hair behind her hair and ignored his angry stomach.

Angelia watched as Glenn starting writing some notes about her doll's life. She wanted to read the paper when Glenn was done. She turned to her Muggle Studies homework to work on, lucky she was half way done.

Walking into the library, Sophie headed straight to the study tables. She had just had the coolest idea for her Care of Magical Creatures homework and wanted a quiet place to work on it. She spotted Glenn talking to a Slytherin girl she didn't know and went in their direction. Even though she hadn't come to the library to socialize, it was nice being with friends while working.
"Hello!" she said to both of them. "How are you Glenn?" Sophie walked to the other side of the table. She then sat down in front of the Slytherin girl and looked at her. "I'm Sophie! Nice to meet you!" she smiled putting her bag on the table and getting out her parchment, quill and ink pot.

As Angelina was working on her Muggle Studies homework she heard someone call out Glenn's name. Lookin up she spotted another Hufflepuff girl come over and place her things down on the table. "Hi Sophie, I'm Angelina, its nice too meet you as well," she said to Sophie with a smile. This was great she has made so many friends this past week, she couldn't be happier, Angelina loves friends. They all seemed to come from the same houses to, but she didn't mind!

Sophie smiled at Angelina. The girl was one of the first Slytherins Sophie had spoken to, besides those at the Capture the Flag game. It was nice officially meeting someone from that house.
Looking down at her parchment, Sophie started writing her story about the her doll merperson. She knew what her story would be like, she would just have to make up a cool ending when she was done writing what was in her head now.

"What year are you in? I'm second year." Whoa second Hufflepuff she ment! Angelina laughted at this in her head, she really hasn't talked to anyone from that house before. Sophie and Glenn are the first.
Angelina looked back down at her parchment and continued thinking of something to write for her homework. This was a bit more chalenging than she thought.. but she will get it done no matter how much it takes, and see will try to complete it before she leaves the study table, she was convinced!

"I'm a first year!" Sophie said looking up again, smiling. "What homework are you doing now?" she asked, trying to see the girl's parchment. Then she looked at Angelina again. "And what's your favorite subject?"
She quickly wrote down another paragraph of her story. She was having fun with this homework! She would even try drawing a scene from her story later. That should be even cooler!

Smiling Angelina said, "How nice. I'm just doing my Muggle Studies homework." Angelina looked down at her parchment and wrote something down that came to her mind. Looking back up at Sophie she answered, "I enjoy Herbology, Muggle Studies and also Astronomy. How about you?"
Looking down at her Muggle Studies homework Angelina found she was almost complete, just two more to go! She was happy with this. It was kinda easy on some letters, and than hard of some letters. With just two left she placed her quill down and decided to take a little break since she has been working kinda hard. She looked around to see if her enviornment she was in changed at all, and it hadn't much.

"Oh, cool!" Sophie said with both of her eyebrows raised. It should be interesting studying muggles from a magical point of view. Sophie hoped she would have fun when she started taking those lessons. "Herbology is cool. I also like Charms and Transfiguration a lot! Oh, and I had a blast with Arithmancy! I still don't know a lot about it, but I just love numbers." Sophie actually didn't understand anything else expect the math part. But she really didn't care. She got her numbers right, and that made her happy!
So far, she had written three paragraphs of her merperson's story. She could either develop what she already had or start thinking about the ending part. She kept tapping the top of her quill on her face, looking around to see if anything from the environment gave her any ideas.

Smiling Angelina nodded. "I am so bad at Transfigurations and Charms," She said. She wasn't to great in those two classes... -along with potions- at all! Arithmancy? "I never took Arithmancy before." It was something about numbers Sophie said, thats all she knew. Angelina really didn't know much about numbers at all. She knew something, but she wasn't a pro at it.
As Angelina was relaxing a bit she saw Sophie looking around like she was a moment ago. Once Sophie looked in her direction Angelina smiled. She than looked back down at her parchment sitting there waiting to be complete, so like picked up her quill once again and began working on the final two letters.

"Hey Sophie!" Glenn said, looking up from her Care of Magical Creatures homework and smiling, "I'm good, you?"
Glenn picked up her quill again and sucked on it, hmm. What to do? She decided upon a merperson in a strange place, she wondered if a pond no where near to a large body of water would count as a strange place. Thinking that it would do, Glenn wrote a paragraph of her story, then paused and frowned, "What do you think would be mermishy names?" She said, putting down her quill and folding her arms across her chest, sighing and blowing a stand of hair out of her eyes.
At Angelina's answer, Glenn ignored her homework and turned to where Angelina and Sophie were sitting, "Oh! I like a practically all of the classes. Herbology might be my favourite because it's good to have for a class when you don't really feel like thinking that much and you can just take care of the plants. I like Transfiguration, Charms and Arithmancy as well. Care of Magical Creatures and History of Magic are cool too, though for history I usually just read my books." It was true, Glenn usually spent quite a long time reading in the common room in front of the fire every night, it made her tired in the morning but she could concentrate best at night when their were no other distractions.

Sophie was good at anything that had a practical part. She didn't enjoy theory all that much. That's why she didn't have any fun with History of Magic and muggle History as well. "Arithmancy can be cool if you like math!" she said happily. She knew that it was more than just numbers, but well, she had no idea what they were for. "I haven't figured out a lot about it yet, though. But still, the math part is fun!"
Looking back at her parchment, Sophie kept writing away!

Stopping to look up at Glenn when the older Hufflepuff asked about mermish names, she still had the tip of her quill touching the parchment. "My merperson is called Merseeno!" she smiled. She thought this name sounded just right for a merperson. "He's in trouble right now, poor guy!" saying that, she faced her work and started writing really fast again.

Angelina laughed a little and said "I bet it can. I'm just not a math person too much." Looking up from her parchment Angelina asked Sophie, "Is Arithmancy just about math and numbers?" She wondered she doesn't really know what Arithmancy is.
Happily Angelina looked down at her Muggle Studies homework to see it was complete. Looking over what she wrote one more time, she happily placed it in her bag with her quill and ink. She sat back in her chair to continue hanging out with Glenn, Sophie, and Nate(?).

Angelina looked over at Glenn and tried thinking of a name. "I don't know," she said in reply. She really wasn't good with names! "What is your mermishy like?" Angelina didn't really know what a mermishy was, hopefully the two could inform them of it. Man she really should take Care of Magical Creaters, than she wouldn't be asking all this.
When Glenn mentioned Herbology Angelina smiled and said, "Thats why I like it to. Don't have to worry about much, just taking care of a plant." Angelina continued listening to Glenn talk about the Hogwarts subjects, what she liked and didn't. Angelina thought was the type for history. She read all the time, causing her to run into a lot of books about history, so she would do well in that class. In cuirousity she asked, "Has History of Magic started at all this term?" If it did and she missed it, she will freak!
