The staff are seated at a long table stretching across a dais at the front of the room. Feel free to come up and greet them after the feast has started.
The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Josephina practically skipped down to the Great Hall that evening, which was something considering the heels she'd donned for the evening. Even though she was saddened by the thought of several of her awesome students graduating - she knew they would be well prepared for whatever they chose to do after Hogwarts.
But she was ecstatic nonetheless and for some bizarre reason she felt like she just wanted to stick her tongue out at a certain Everett Scabior, aka Dash, as often as she could during the feast. Mostly because her Hufflepuffs had done it. REALLY DONE it. And she was proud of every single one of them.
Which of course is why even as she took her customary seat near the end, the Arithmancy Professor had this ridiculous grin plastered onto her face.

Dressed in navy, Maximus limped into the Great Hall with the aid of his cane and made his way directly to his seat to the right of Tate. His mind was rather preoccupied as he took his seat and rested his right hand on top of the silver eagle head handle of his awesome cane.

William had a somewhat confused expression on his face as he walked into the Great Hall, wearing sunglasses on his face and a knit winter beanie on his head. He couldn't figure out if it was the end of the term or the Christmas feast, and something else was nagging at the back of his mind, but overall he was just looking puzzled about something. What was with all the gold decorations too, huh? Was today National Mustard Day? Why hadn't anyone informed him about National Mustard Day?
Sitting down in his usual seat, though, seemed to reassure the Care of Magical Creatures professor some. He itched at the hat but left it on (one never knew when it might decide to snow in the hall, after all) and kept the sunglasses over his eyes as well. Crossing his feet at the ankles, Willy slumped down into his seat and frowned.
Why wasn't Olly here yet? Olly loved to eat even more than Willy did. Olly would know what month it was. He was reliable like that.

Edvard walked into the Great Hall and stopped to peer around suspiciously as he noticed all the goldness. Had the hall been badgerfied for the feast? Shrugging his shoulders he passed the four house tables which were pretty low in attendance yet and headed for the dias.
Getting closer Edvard saw that Max, Josephina and William were already seated up there, two of them looking puzzled for some reason. The expression on Josephina's face was easier to read she was happy and proud. Slipping into his seat he turned to Josephina first "Good evening Fina. Congrat's on your houses trifecta victory. It has been a long time since Hufflepuff won all three titles right?"
Shifting his gaze to William he poked the COMC man slightly in the side "Evening William, is everything all right? You look like someone who has been pranked, but hasn't figured out how yet." Not that Edvard would ever prank anyone of his colleagues it wasn't in his nature.

Medea was quite releaved as she made her way down the lengths of the four students tables to the staff table up front, taking notice of all the yellow. A golden yellow more like it. Whatever the reason, it was a pretty sight.
Smiling to the few already sitting at the table, though that hat William wore did get a curious look from her, she pulled out her own chair and sat down. Oh that felt good. Stretch her leeegs! This year had taken it's time to go by, but then again, it had gone faster than she expected. Though the pressure of the first year was finally lifted and she could breeaathe!

Walking briskly to the staff table, energy and excitement coursing through her veins as the students laughed and giggled and chatted merrily, Seren beamed at her colleagues. "Hello everybody!" she greeted brightly making her way around and down the length of the table, pausing briefly to pat Fina on the shoulder, "Congratulations on the spectacular wins." Yes.. wins, because Hufflepuff seemed to have inherited whatever it is the Snakes had the previous years, and so the three-peat... as some had called it, appeared as though it would be an on-going trend.
Taking her usual seat, Seren adjusted her pink rose head band. There was nothing like a lovely reed of flowers to brighten up ones day, or night for that matter. Pouring herself a tea, Seren leant back in her seat and smiled over at the Gryffindor table. Hopefully they wouldn't be getting up to any trouble just yet... or at all.

Isabelle's smile spread wider upon entry to the Great Hall. The sight of the yellow and black banners wasn't something she had seen for a while - not since she'd been teaching, and certainly not so much when she was a student. But now they were resplendent hanging above the tables.
What's more she was so happy for Fina, the Huffies Head of House. So much so that, instead of going straight to her seat when she got to the staff dais, Isabelle wandered down the other end of the table, greeting her colleagues that had already sat down. "Evening all. Edvard..." she smiled at him as she passed.
"Fina! Congratulations on the House Cup and everything else. You must be so proud of the Badgers." Isabelle lowered her voice slightly, so it didn't echo down the hall. Leaning forward she grinned at the woman and squeezed her arm.

Hecate walked in and passed right by Fina, bumping into her chair and not excusing herself. AND THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT THE GREAT HALL WAS DECKED OUT IN PUKE YELLOW and the snakes were last...

There. That's all she needed right? Dash wasn't here yet, and neither was Tate. She would have greeted the nurse as well, but she wasn't there either.
Gemma clicked towards the table in a brand new pair of all iridescent glittered heels. She smiled at the students as she walked...giving bigger smiles to those students that were her favorites...not that she had favorites...but just some that she liked a little bit more than others....she couldn't believe the year was already over...it had been a quick, and fun...and interesting one. As she walked she glanced towards the opposite end of the table from her chair to see if the Ancient Runes professor had beat her. No, the seat was empty...she felt her cheeks become a little heated and she knew they must have a pink tint to them.
She finally made it to the table and smiled at the other professors before taking her usual seat. She glanced out at the crowd and then said to whomever was closest...and paying attention.."Another year gone...another class leaving...and we're still coming back next year..." she said with excitement and a little sarcasm...it was a lame little joke but she amused herself with it.

Still beaming ridiculously, Josephina took note of Max entering and taking a seat. With his cane. From the Quidditch match. For a moment, her smile dissipated as she shot a worried look of concern at him. Because she WAS worried about him.
"Max," she said solemnly, hoping she wasn't interrupting anything.

Fina glanced to her right as the Creatures professor entered and seated himself wearing sunglasses and a winter beanie. Er .... ? Perhaps he was sick. Yup, that totally had to be it.
"The house elves make a rather delightful beef stew. It ought to make you feel better," Fina said, leaning over the then vacant seat of the Astronomy Professor. Vacant for a moment longer that is...

The seat wasn't vacant for long though, as the next thing she knew, Edvard had slipped into the seat beside her and was the first to tell her congratulations. Surprising for a man that two years ago didn't even know what it was all about. "Thank you, Edvard. And thank you.... it has been a long time since we've won the House Cup, even." Too long, as she was sure they only managed to win it once after she graduated.

Ah, at least there was another smiling present beside her own. And Eddie seemed content. Not confused or unhappy like some others. "Medea! You survived your first year!" That was always a good sign, considering so many didn't even survive that. And if you survived two years, you were really exceptional.

Oh good, at least Seren wasn't bitter at her ... what with Gryffindor losing. She was just her usual happy-go-lucky self, which was admittedly another nice relief. "Thank you, Seren," Fina glanced backward over her shoulder at the Herbology Professor. "They really worked hard this term." And she couldn't be more pleased with some of the first years too. Great bunch though, all of them. "Congrats though to you too, for your house passing Slytherin in the last few days of the term! Really something."

"Excuse you," Fina scoffed, staring down at Hecate who didn't even bother to say anything, but simply kept walking down toward her seat. Rude much? She put up with Snakes winning way more than just one term; the least Hecate could have done was show a little appreciation.

She gave the woman a smile, and a subtle chuckle escaped her lips at the comment. Tis was true.

Sooo...
That may have definitely cleared things up for her.
Eyebrows raising a little, she stared at the Hufflepuff colors as an 'o' expression formed on her face. Hmmm, how could she forget about the house cup? "Good evening." she smiled and nodded to the woman after the whispered convo.

Medea couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes, still valking and talking." Made it sound like this job was cursed! Goodness, can one imagine that? "Oh! Forgive my lateness, but...Congratulations!" Mmhmm, it all clicked in her mind a little late, but better late than never! Keeping in mind of these sports awards and the house cup next term was going to be on top of her to-do list.

Spotting the beautiful DADA professor as she came up onto the dais Edvard waved at her. "Good evening Medea." Remembering something he had heard from a student he asked curiously "Did you give yoga lessons during term?"

"Good evening, Seren!" He greeted over the long table. "The lions really worked hard together this term." Too bad we had the numbers against us. Seren always knew what to wear to a feast or festive activity; today it was a flower decorated head band.

As Isabelle passed him Edvard looked up and beamed "Evening Isabelle! Did you have a good term in Transfiguration?" Striking up conversation was good. It meant he didn’t have to tell everyone just yet he was leaving plus Althea wasn’t there yet either.

The first staffer to arrive who was visibly unhappy was Hecate. It took no genius to understand why since Slytherin had placed last in the house cup. Shooting her a warm smile he nodded. "Evening, Hecate. Yes my term was splendid. Especially my stargazing activities have been popular amongst the students." To keep the conversation up he asked "How was your term in potions? Do any of the youngsters have the potential to become great potion masters/mistresses?"

Raising a brow at Fina’s statement he asked "How long has it been since Hufflepuff won the House Cup last?" Feeling his stomach growl he wondered where Tate was. They couldn’t eat before the speech had been given.

"Evening Gemma!" Edvard chirped over the length of the table to where the Muggle Studies professor where sitting in her new glittery heels. "Any special plans for the summer Gemma?" he inquired with a smile. Why were so many in such gloomy states? And why was Gemma glancing at Oliver's vacant seat?

"Summer can't come soon enough, can it?"
Hearing Headmaster Tate’s voice Edvard almost jumped out of his seat. When had the bossman arrived to the table? Nodding politely in the headmaster’s direction he said "Headmaster Tate, is it you who has given the hall its warm golden touch?"

Althea wasn't late but neither was she early, mostly because sitting at a table and making small talk wasn't exactly her favourite pastime. The blonde women took her seat without comment, not wanting to interrupt any conversations that were already in progress.

Edvard wondered if someone above had heard him since all of a sudden Althea walked into the Great hall and up on the dais. Shooting her a smile he said "Evening Althea." In low whisper he continued. "I need to tell you something. It's important." And you make may not like me after I've told you what is on my mind. If that happened Edvard had at least been honest.
Oliver was excited about summer vaction and it showed as he entered the Great Hall. He had forgone his usual robes in favour of jeans and a t-shirt and his sunglasses atop his head. The moment he entered the hall however, those sunglasses were quickly pushed down back over his eyes.
Too much yellow.
It was far too bright. And sickening.
He almost turned on his heel and walked back out but he caught sight of William up at the staff table and he raised an eyebrow. Oh this will be good. As he made his way up to the front, Olly glanced at the other end of the table and spotted Gemma, looking as lovely as usual. A small grin crossed his features just as he stepped in front of his friend.
"What's going on bro? You get dressed in the dark again?" What was with the beanie. It was summer for Merlin's sake. But hey if William wanted to wear a beanie, who was he to judge?
Oliver was considering taking his seat when he noticed that Hadley was already seated. Great. If the decorations weren't bad enough, he got to sit next to Big Head Badger. He was glad that he brought all his supplies with him, he had a feeling that he might just have to slip the woman some shrinking solution for that head of hers.
Another glance down to the table told him that Waylon wasn't here yet. What a suprise. The man was probably still trying to find his way to the castle. Hmm, maybe he could take Murdoch's chair. Eh, but then he would have to sit next to the headmaster and he wouldn't be able to pull any pranks.
Returning his gaze back to the people in front of him, he gave them each a small smile. "Hello Thea. Medea." He nodded at the Defense Profesor. "And Edvard." He wasn't likely to forget the Astronomy Professor's name seeing how it had been plastered all over the school in that gossip rag.
And back to William. "When are we leaving for Romania?"

The end of term had finally come and not a minute too soon for Cece. Nine months of tending to whining, sniveling 'Puffs was enough for her. How they had managed to win all three championships this term was beyond her. With all the time they spent in the hospital wing she really had no idea how they found time to do anything else.
She had been tempted to just skip the feast and head straight for Sweden but in the end decided she better at least make an appearance. Taking her seat at the staff table she noticed she wasn't the last to arrive even though she had procrastinated... a lot.
Had Waylon forgotten what night this was?
Spotting the water goblet in front of her Cece pushed it off to the side. There was no way she was eating or drinking anything here tonight. She was not about to go through what she did at the opening feast. No, she would just wait until she got home to eat or drink anything.
Students whining and crying all the time along with professors pulling pranks had her wondering why exactly was she planning on coming back again next term?

Great bunch though, all of them. "Congrats though to you too, for your house passing Slytherin in the last few days of the term! Really something."
"Oh they most certainly did, they certainly kept me on my toes this year," she mused. Indeed the Badgers had been EVERYWHERE... they didn't miss a thing, so it was no surprise that they did so well. All that determination and team work. A smile tightened her cheeks a little bit more as Fina complimented the Lions efforts. "Thank you, they worked really hard to catch up, I'm so proud of them."

"Summer can't come soon enough, can it?"
Having witnessed the behaviour of her colleagues, Seren looked down at her empty plate so as to hide a smirk. Tate had a point though. Summer couldn't come soon enough at all.

"Eddie!" she beamed. "They did, they did! And I'm sure they'll have some fire to burn next year as well. I'm rather looking forward to meeting the net batch of first years." The legacy had to live on.
Having strained her voice a bit the chat along the length of the table, Seren leant forward in her seat and sipped on her tea.
Hecate sat in her seat and waited until Isabelle sat beside her and greeted her with a nod.
There. That's all she needed right? Dash wasn't here yet, and neither was Tate. She would have greeted the nurse as well, but she wasn't there either.
Having finished down the other end of the table, Isabelle made her way back to her won seat, spotting Hecate in the one next door. With a face like thunder, it had to be said. Then again, Issy could hardly blame her.
Sliding in to her seat, she looked sideways and acknowledged the nod she was given. "Hecate...How are you this evening?" Was that going to be a bad question?
What surprised Fina next was the sight of Isabelle at the opposite end of the staff dais - her end. Isabelle was really quite lovely though. "You've no idea, Is. I've just .... I think I might cry," she confessed, in a low whisper. Tears of happiness, of course. "Thank you."
Her grin got even wider, if that was possible. "You're welcome. They certainly all worked hard in my lessons this year," Issy nodded. In fact they all seemed to have had their determined little Badger heads on all term. And it had paid off. "Have you come stocked with hankies," she asked with a chuckle.

The DADA professor. Not someone Issy had spoken to much all term, if at all, but the good evening she received was certainly a pleasant one. "Good evening! I trust you had a good first term, the children treated you well?" Isabelle knew there could be a few....difficult...ones.

Unlike a couple of the other male professors, who shall remain nameless, Edvard was actually not childish. So having a quick conversation with him before she went back to her seat was something Issy was looking forward to. "I did thank you. How did the Astronomy lessons go? Aside from the slightly abrupt ending to your balloon party?" She laughed, remembering the pile up in the tent. Not an evening she'd forget in a hurry.

William JUMPED like an abraxan that had been spooked when his colleague poked him in the side.
"Someone pranked me?" he repeated Edvard, slowing turning his head to give the Astronomy professor a sad look, like a little boy who lost his playtime privileges. "Why would anyone prank me? I haven't pranked anyone in months! I've behaved like an angel all school year!"

His lower lip jutting out now, Willy shrugged at the Arithmancy professor. "I hate stew. Especially beef stew. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwy!"

"I'm not fighting," William murmured to himself from his seat. But ah, AH HA! It was SUMMER then, was it? That's what the HeadMan said! Summer time! SUMMER AT LAST! Not the winter feast, it was the summer feast! Excellent excellent.
Somewhat relieved by this revelation, the Care of Magical Creatures professor straightened up in his seat. He felt much better now. Much less confused. No need for beef stew now.

Any remaining confusion William might have had disappeared when he saw his best friend, Oliver. Olllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyy. Grinning, Willy plucked the hat off his head and rushed out of his seat, jogging around the table to give his shorter friend a big bear hug.
"Ollllllllllllly!" he chuckled, squeezing the Ancient Runes man rather tightly. "So glad to see you, bro. It's been ages." He released Oliver from the hug with a hearty slap on the back and then returned to his seat before he could get in trouble for.... Hug a Gryffindor Day or something.
Once he was seated again, William adapted a mysterious smirk at mention of Romania. "You tell me, bro. You packed? Did you remind Waylon about it all?" A little voice in the back of his head was nagging, Why Are We Going to Romania again? but he shushed it instantly. There were dragons in Romania, that's all Willy cared about!

Lewis was confused. And nervous. More nervous actually. He really really REALLY didn't want to go up to the Staff Table. And on his own too. But the weird, oddly-glowing thing he'd found in his things today just shouted SUSPICIOUS at him somehow and what else to do with it than to get a staff member to handle it? Hopefully it was worth telling a professor about and not just some kind of left over prank item from the first of April.
Okay, now after that thought had come to his mind he wanted to go up there even less. What if it actually was just some kind of random ball and he was just about to make a complete fool of himself? Hovering on the spot already half-way up to the dias, Lewis blushed and started chewing on his lip, thinking this through one last time. But it was too late to turn around now, wasn't it?
So instead he just continued his way up to the staff table, the hand which was holding on to the orb in his other, fidgeting around with it nervously. He had absolutely no idea how it had ended up in his robes, all he knew was that he didn't want to have it in his possession.
Once there he slowly moved over pretty close to where his Head of House was seated. "E-excuse me." Was he interrupting?! Should he come back at a better time? Or like never? "I...I found this this morning. While I was packing up my things." He held out the orb sitting on his palm towards the professors without really looking at them, his eyes resting on the little ball in his hand. Take it, please?

Alyssa had been keeping an eye out at the Staff Table for the Healer to show up. They had really started off on the wrong foot and Alyssa really didn't feel comfortable about that. She didn't like that she had upset the Healer and made her angry. She decided that she would approach the Healer one more time before she left for the term ended and apologize personally to her. She had made that decision while she had been waiting in the hospital wing.
Alyssa got up from her seat and slowly walked up to Staff Table, running through the things she would say to the Healer when eventually faced her. She wanted to make sure that she said the right words. Think before you say, that's what the Headmaster had told her. Alyssa took a deep breath and approached the Healer, hiding something behind her back. "Ex...excuse me, Madam Healer. May I have a word with you?" Alyssa asked the Healer scared out of her wits.

Minerva hadn't been around much this term, so she wasn't sure if she should even go up to the staff table. So much had gone on and she missed it, but she like her professors no matter what. She gave a big smile and walked up to the table. "Have a great summer everyone." she decided to talk the entire table instead of going to all of them. She turned and headed back to the tables, she didn't even know if they would recognize her with her new rainbow hair.
