In fact, she rather did enjoy her and Kacie's little nicknames for Mr. Gideon Gavin Gert. So maybe having Kacie around would not be so bad, but she did agree that having their own places that first years were not prone to traveling was a distinct advantage, "Yeah, there is always that."
When he stuck his tongue out at Selina she chuckled and said, "Don't be cheeky, sir." She was glad she had him around to just hang out with like this and joke with. She knew that once the term started she would be flooded with questions from new students about try outs. Selina knew that because she was one of those first years that proded Simon for answers to all of her Qudditch related answers.

She to looked around again for Gideon, but gave up after just one glance. It was pointless because she couldn't see over anyone to spot him. "If I had to guess he probably ran off to find his girlfriend," Kacie giggled. A mischievous grin spread across her face as the greatest idea popped into her head. She stopped her trunk and expertly kicked the front wheels to the side that way the cart didn't move as she climbed onto her trunk. It made seeing over the many students and parents a little better as she looked around for her curly head brother. That wasn't the only thing she did either, looking just wasn't good enough as she cupped her hands around her mouth and yelled.
"GIDEON GERT!!! MOMS LOOKING FOR YOOOOOUUUU!!"
Her voice was loud, she just hopped it was loud enough that it carried over all the talking and shouting.
Gideon chuckled and was about to respond when he heard his name being called... no...YELLED across the platform by a familiar voice, his face falling from cheeky to flushed with embarishment that he was fighting to hide. He turned with his shoulder's cringed to see his sister making a spectacle of herself. The older boy wanting to do a mixture of things involving disappearing into the stonework and rushing over to Kacie and tackling her for doing such a stupid crazy thing to get his attention.
The former Gryffindor nodded although she was certain it would take a lot of persuasion to get her husband to join them on this annual trip. Celeste was neither here nor there as Kacie made a comment about her brother's companion. She knew it to be sibling teasing despite having been an only child herself...though her cousin was as close to a sister as she could think. But as the girl moved to cause trouble, the older woman followed to step in.
"Kacie Mona Gert...you get down from there," Celeste said reproaching her daughter for her behavior.
With a sigh, he exchanged glances with Selina before stalking through the crowds and towards his family, glad to see his mother was trying to deal with her. "Mommm" he murmered before glaring and making a face at his sister.
Celeste looked to her son as he moaned her name, raising an eyebrow at his own behavior before focusing back at Kacie. "And stop bugging your brother."
Hah! Well, she was a rather blunt one, wasn't she? Paulie liked that, though. It was refreshing and he also didn't have to worry about deciphering girl semantics. "True, I was pretty bored.. but that's not the case now, thanks to you!" He smiled again. Whoa, it sounded like she had a lot of nationalities or something. He nodded in understanding. "Well, ya definitely look Italian, so I could see most people thinkin' you're all Italian anyhow." And that's what she wanted... right?
That would explain why he hadn't recognized her: because she was NEW! "Oh, right! Well, that's still cool. I was new last year, 'cause I transferred, but yep.. now I'm a returner." A proud Hogwarts returner he was. Wait.. then she was saying that she was rude? Huh, how..? Oh! Introductions, yes. It'd already slipped his mind, too. Perhaps she was a little TOO distracting! "Valentina," Paulie repeated, impressed. "That totally sounds like a Bond girl name." That was a compliment, of course. "I would be Paul Foster, but everyone calls me Paul-ie."
She bowed gracefully, still smiling! Yes, a smile was important right now because she wanted to look friendly and what said friendly better than a smile? NOTHING DID. As she bowed her dark hair fell off her shoulders before she let out a tiny chuckle, "My pleasure to be your entertainer at the platform of course, I'm no juggler or anything! I can't do fancy tricks but I am pretty good at talking I suppose!"She was also excellent in the skill of being blunt and being scary when mad apparently but she wouldn't share that with the boy just yet. She looked Italian? Hehh. Valentina radiated. "Defiantly look like my mother more so than my father! So, of what nationality are you exactly? Just English?"She didn't care too much but she didn't want to look rude.
He was new last year? Well, at least now she knew it wasn't uncommon to be a new person!"Really? Is it difficult meeting people and such? I gotta say I am slightly worried."You know, worried people would be all cliquey and judgmental and not want to talk to her for reasons she didn't understand. She couldn't help but laugh as he repeated her name, a Bond girl? "I'll take that as a compliment then, yes?"If it wasn't she'd force him to say it was a compliment. She'd didn't do well with things that WEREN'T compliments, oh no. Anyway though, he seemed impressed at least that's what her mind had determined. Paulie? "Paulie?"She raised a single brow, nodding her head slightly. "And why does everyone call you that, Paulie?"She was curious now. Extremely curious because Paul wasn't a BAD name nor was Paulie. It was just...weird. And she wanted answers and this boy better give them to her.
Gideon chuckled and was about to respond when he heard his name being called... no...YELLED across the platform by a familiar voice, his face falling from cheeky to flushed with embarishment that he was fighting to hide. Her voice was loud, she just hopped it was loud enough that it carried over all the talking and shouting.
Selina noticed that Gideon's face was getting cheekier and cheekier by the moment. That face could only mean one thing- things were about to get very sarcastic on the platform. Selina and Gideon, since they met, had been a pair that were always joking with one another and trying to one up one another. Competition, whether it was healthy or not which she believed it was, was something the two of them were just accustomed to doing. She had broken out the nickname sir so her first move was made. Now it was time for him to make his move.
Everything suddenly stopped when she heard a booming voice echo through the Platform. A very familiar voice... Kacie's voice... screaming Gideon's name. She looked at her boyfriend who was now red in the face and smiled lightly to make him feel better. Perhaps if she made it seem like it was not such a huge deal he would not go off on his little sister who she truly believed was trying to be helpful. But she could not do anything when he stalked off to his mother and his little sister.
Her blue eyes scanned the crowds of people in the Platform and crossed her arms awkwardly and smiled as Gideon walked toward his family. She bowed her head to the crowd and headed over to the Gerts. Once she finally arrived by Gideon's side she saw Kacie and Mrs. Gert. Waving to both of them slightly she said, "Hello Mrs. Gert. Hey Kacie."
Oh. Ellie wasn't sure if she should feel bad for the girl or not. But Laci seemed happy enough being an only child, so this little fact was cast aside for another question. "A duo act with fire?" How did THAT work? Unless...it wasn't another fire act...but something else. Whatever else. The Ravenclaw didn't know a whole lot about circus acts.
She knew clowns, though! And thought they were positively ridiculous. Whoever dressed up as one of those HAD to be insane. St. Mungo's insane.
Her thoughts wouldn't be voiced to Laci, though.
Silly? Had she just been called 'silly'? Ellie was positive she'd never been called 'silly' before. Laci received blinks for that. However, she helped herself to a couple peanuts. She wasn't one to deny food. "Thanks."
......OH.MY.MERLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ellie's blue eyes widened at the outburst from the other redhead, her heart THUMPING in her chest. Quickly, she glanced around to see just how many people were staring now. And just when she was about to bow her head, and let her hair cover her face from the world, she was being HUGGED.
Her fingers closed around the peanuts in her hand as she patted the girl's back with the other. Awkwardly, mind you.
Erm....
Laci completely missed the questioning of the duo act when she was completely consumed by the hug. "Oh this is amazing! How delightful! Can we sit on the train together?" Then she turned to her messenger bag that she had with her and pulled one of the red Gerber Daisies out from her small bouquet. "Here! For you! My first friend"
"I’m sure you’ll do fine dear. Just don’t overwork yourself and remember to take time to be with your friends and enjoy the other perks of school life like quidditch, duelling or gobstones." Edvard reassured and adviced the young snake. Hopefully Aurora was sensible about her studies and not scared. He remembered taking owls and newt’s way back when and he hadn’t been scared just over anxious and worried about failing them. Edvard had though in the end gotten some pretty nice scores.
Aurora nodded, she refrained form saying anything about hating Quidditch with a passion. As for gobstones... she was terrible at it, and was sure she'd humiliate herself if she tried duelling - however tough she pretended she was. She always had her music though, and even the theory wasn't that bad... right? "Don't worry about me, Professor. I'll be fine." Yup, no slacking on her part... not even during the holidays... She'd had a few unwelcome visits from her old tutor over the summer - insisting that she needed to try harder at Arithmancy, Charms and - you guessed it - Astronomy. "Are you feeling better?" she asked, because she was pretty sure the train would be leaving at some point soon.

He frowned, 'oh, just... You knoooow, wondering if your fearless Slytherin lot were scared when you went to Hogwarts the first time.' He nodded, surely there were some scared ones, you know, with older brothers and sisters scaring them.. 'Just curious.' He added in a chirpy voice.
"Well obviously yet..." Duh... Was she scared..?"I wasn't aware we were supposed to be fearless..." she said, raising an eyebrow. Cunning, yes. Ambitious, yet. But fearless wasn't in the job description. "But no, not really..." After all, anything was better than home tutoring... and Krys had been to Hogwarts and - however much he tried to scare her - she had seen the way he talked about it... he'd clearly loved his time there.

He stared as Lyssie yelled at him, he deserved this, but that didn't mean he enjoyed being yelled at in front of loads of people.
It was all his fault, it really was. But... Relationships were weeeeird. And stuff. 'She's not my- She's just.. a friend! Really.' Aaron tried, it sort of was true. Except most friends didn't... you know, kiss. 'I thought I'd thrown the photos awaaaay!' That was hardly an excuse, was it? It'd probably only make it worse. He tried flashing her a grin, that worked sometimes.
'Ouch woman!' That hurt. He laid a hand on his cheek and frowned. That wasn't necessary! >____< 'I'M SORRY LYSSIEEE!' He yelled after her, knowing that wouldn't help.
Still covering his cheek he turned to the Slytherin girl, flashing her an awkward grin. '... Wellll... This is awkward.' He said and let out a weird chuckle.
Aurora watched the scene unfold, slightly wide eyed. Well... turned out this guy was a bit of a player. Nice... She really didn't want to get involved though and took a step back. Then, when he turned back and spoke to her, she shook her head almost imperceptibly. "Never happened." she said. "Anyway, any particular reason you wanted to know if I was scared..?" she asked, wondering if he still cared.

Ella walked out onto the platform and took a deep breath. She was experiencing a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride at the moment. On the one hand, she was here. Actually here on the platform and she was excited! On the other hand, Ella was going to miss her family more than she could say. She looked around her, wide eyed, watching the endless mass of students and their families saying their goodbyes. She felt a surge of loneliness, realizing that she was on her own for the first time in her life. This was definitely going to be an interesting year.

Oh geez... the guy was excited about art? BOOOOOORING! "I do neither, actually. My brother does a little of everything though. He is certainly the creative one," the boy responded a bit bitterly. "I prefer to write. I was the editor of my school yearbook back in Greece." SHRUG. Not that that was a big deal or anything. Even if it was, Mortimer wouldn't make it a big deal. "Hope I can do some writing at Hogwarts." Letting his eyes scan the area once more he sighed. "Is it always overcast here?"
"Oh, ok," Alex said. Taryn. That didn't sound like a familiar name, although Alex preferred not to socialize with the Slytherins if at all possible. They always called him names and picked on him and stuff. Not cool.
Alex was a tad disappointed that this dude wasn't an artist like himself--very few people at Hogwarts were, it seemed--but he WAS a writer which was almost just as cool! Alex had never really had a way with words but he always wished he had--then he could make comics and all that stuff. "Well, we do have a yearbook and stuff here, I'm sure you'd be able to jump into that no problem!" he encouraged him.
He looked up at the sky, noting that it WAS particularly overcast today, and shrugged. "Yeah, not always though--I mean, we DO see the sun every once in a while," he replied with a small chuckle.
"I'm Alex, by the way," he added. He wasn't sure he'd introduced himself since the conversation had started. What bad manners!

Okay. Hug's over. Ellie's face was bright red, but...but lookit! The train!
...Sit with her. Uhm... "I was going to sit with my boyfriend, actually... It's been a while, you know..." And she needed BREATHING time. "Maybe at the feast?" The feast was a good time for socializing.
Oh! A flower! "Thanks." Flowers were pretty. A couple years ago, she'd gotten THREE different bouquets. But she didn't know how to water them...or that you're supposed to water them, really. Herbology wasn't her strong suit, OWLs aside. But, she was thankful for the flower all the same.
The Sixth year then rose from her trunk and picked up its handle. "I'll be seeing you, then?" she asked, friendly smile fixed upon her face. Then she headed for the train.

"Have a good last term." Carter said looking between Ellie and Dallin. "And. A wise girl once told me that there's bigger and better after Hogwarts." He turned toward Ellie. "Don't forget that." Of course, he didn't expect the Ravenclaw to be as sad about leaving as he had been.
Sheesh, that little girl was adorable. Ickle little firstie. Ellie kind of wanted to pinch her cheeks, but she refrained. She grinned when Anya said she'd be seeing her around. "You can bet on it." Ellie confirmed. She'd see her at Hogwarts and during the summers when Ellie would be working for Carter. Which she wasn't excited for at aaall. Pffff.
Ellie turned back to Carter when he wished them a good last term. A smile appeared on a lips. Then, Ellie heard Carter say something that sounded... quite familiar. A huge smile replaced her small one and Ellie couldn't help but let go of Dallin and give Carter a huge hug. She held him for a second before saying, "Thank you," And pulling away.
Before she thought about it, she gave Carter a kiss on the cheek. Hopefully Dallin wouldn't mind. Carter was like a big brother to Ellie more than anything. He was a nice guy. Stepping back, Ellie took Dallin's hand again and smiled. "Keep in touch, okay? I want to hear about all your Puddlemere adventures before I get there." She told him with a big smile.
Just then, Ellie saw the train making it's way in to the station. With a squeeze to Dallin's hand, she turned to him. "You ready to go?" Because seventh year was finally here.

Well of course she did. She raised one eyebrow at Eddie and smiled. "It doesn't hurt to be prepared." Poor thing. She had best get him on the train as soon as possible.
She hid a smile at his response about the hat, but she didn't volunteer to clean it for him. He could manage it. Or would be able to soon enough.

That explained it. A transfer.
"Well its nice to meet you, Mr. Vaughn. I'm Althea Schirmer, Charms Professor at Hogwarts."

Alyssa stopped running and slowed down to a halt. She was now not only upset but also embarrrassed because she did exactly the one thing she hadn't intended to do. One. Cause a scene. She did it in front of two of her class Professors!! Two, lose her temper, and Three, say that she never wanted to talk with Aaron again. Because SHE DID!! It didn't matter that they were no longer dating. Yeah it would have been nice if he had told her the truth back then in the summer. She still would have gotten mad, but she would have come around and they would still be friends. Now she had just made it worse by saying that she never wanted to talk with him again. How could she not do that? They were in the same House and she was bound to see him in classes and at the Quidditch games. Alyssa sighed and sat down on the nearest empty bench she could find. She bent down and put her head in her hands. What was she to do?
After a while she looked up and turned to where Aaron was still standing talking to an older girl. 'Should I go up and apologize for slapping him? What will he say to me?'Alyssa thought to herself. After a couple moments of thought, she got up from the bench and walked back over to him.
"Erm...Aaron. I'm sorry I slapped you. I overeacted. I know I said that I didn't want to talk with you again but I still do. I still consider you my friend, even though you may not want to be, after what I just did to you. Anyway, I hope that the girl makes you happy. Can we still be friends?" Alyssa said to Aaron, sticking out her hand.
Aaron was still petting his sore cheek when he saw Alyssa disappear into the crowd, he would remind himself to stay away from her for a little bit, he liked his face too much to risk walking around with a red hand across it.
His cheek hurt, a lot. But it was even worse that she was NEVER going to talk to her again. And not just because she was smart and could obviously help him with his homework.. Alyssa was a friend. Even after what he had done which wasn't done on purpose to her.
He would have to go and talk to her sooner or later..
Aaron stared at Alyssa in confusion as she made her way back over to him and blurted out a lot of stuff. 'I- I'm still your friend?' He rolled his eyes dramatically, 'and they call ME dumb!' What he did was bad, but she was nice enough to be friends even now. Instead of shaking her hand he gave her an awkward hug, quickly letting go again.

Well... so much for Aaron's logic today. Slytherins weren't fearless. That were the Gryffindors. 'Right, right. Lions.' He shook his head foolishly, he figured he was supposed to know house traits, considering this was his sixth year already. But the Slytherins weren't scared either? Well... This one wasn't. 'Well... nevermiiiiind.' He grinned, blaming his head for always letting things seem a lot more logical before he actually did them. 'I just figured... you know, you might be scared. Or something. Well.. anywayyyy...' Best not to mention he still thought Slytherins were mildly terrifying. Even this girl, and she had to be at least a year younger than Aaron himself was.

Alyssa was surprised when Aaron grabbed her in a hug instead of just shaking her hand. But she took advantage of his hug to breath in his scent one last time before he let her go. She knew she was going to start crying again, so she bravely pasted a smile on her face and said," Thanks for accepting my apology. See you some time." running off before he saw her crying again.

Oh, she bowed? Well, well! Paulie was talking to a true performer right here. "A good talker makes a good entertainer, I hear," Paulie smiled. He, naturally, could never be an entertainer or anything of the sort. He stumbled on words and said 'uhh' WAY too many times. "Well, your mum must be a pretty lady!" Heh. See? Paulie wasn't all bad at compliments. On the contrary! So.. she was curious about his nationality? Or, if she wasn't, she asked out of politeness anyway. "Yeah, I'm just English. I mean.. both my parents were born and raised in England, too, but my mum's of French descent, I think. My dad had a bit of a German background.. somehow." He shrugged because it really wasn't a big deal in his family. He was English.
She was worried? Well, it didn't show. "Nah, I wouldn't sweat it. I mean, look at ya now! You approached me like it was a breeze. Plus, you said it yourself, you're a good talker." He gave a second, crooked smile. If he were to bet on it, he'd say she'd have AT LEAST ten friends within the first fortnight. "You should take it as a compliment, Bond Girl! Bond girls are...." Hot! "Cool. And they have real cool names, like Valentina and stuff." Thus, her nickname was now 'Bond Girl.' Aah, his name. Why was it that everyone questioned 'Paulie'? Hmmm. It was strange, but maybe that was because Paulie was so used to it that he thought it completely normal. "My dad's name was 'Paul,' so I sorta go by 'Paulie' by default. And I think 'Paulie' just suits me better." It certainly did.

Hearing someone say her name, Kurumi momentarily turned her eyes away from Lewis and to see a Hufflepuff students who she recognized from classes, but never had really spoke to before. Her cheeks flushed a bit and she looked down at the prefect badge on her chest. "Oh, well...um...thank you," she said with a polite bow. Such messages of congratulations still made her feel awkward and unsure of how to react.
Looking up again, Kurumi noticed they they too were sporting a badge of their own, only not of the prefect variety. "Oh, and congratulations to you on becoming the Hufflepuff quidditch captain," she chirped. And then she felt awkward. "I'm sorry...I feel terrible that you know my name and that I don't know yours."

Maxwell said goodbye to his father and turned to see Nessie waving at him. "Hey, was your summer?" Maxwell asked with a friendly smile. "ohh come here you can finally meet Helios." Maxwell said remembering when they'd first met how interested she'd been in meeting his pet.
Nessie waved her hand dissmisively. Oh you know. Hanging out with family and what not. She squealed slightly in anticipation for meeting Maxwell's pheonix. She ran over to his side.

Shoot, she looks embarrassed. He could tell he was making her feel awkward. Why did he always have that effect on people? Especially girls...Ah well. I'll figure it out someday, he thought.

He brightened considerably at her mention of his own badge. "Yeah, thanks! I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts and hold try outs." The pace of his talking began to increase. "I think we finally have a chance to beat Slytherin this year now they've graduated their Seeker and a Chaser. Our Seeker is gone, but I'm confident there is some one out there that can be close to just as good with some training. Plus, I---"
He faltered. I'm doing it again. He had a tendency to ramble about Quidditch. He found that most girls that were polite enough to not walk away just got this glazed look, almost as if they were not paying attention.
"Anyways, I'm Keefer. Keefer Marius, sixth year." He made to hold out his hand, then thought better of it and passed it off as a move to smooth his hair. "But I can tell I interrupted your conversation with someone else, so I'll just go..." he trailed off.

"Huh?Oh!House, Ravenclaw because my parents were both sorted in that House, but sometimes I also think Gryffindor would be great." she replied.

Kurumi sort of stood there, frozen in place, as her skin began to tingle and itch. Quidditch...which reminded her of flying...which reminded her of Gryffindor's last match of the season last term where her broom had been shattered to pieces and she had gone into shock - a shock that still hadn't worn off to be honest. She had already told Selina that she was hanging up her Seeker robes and not going out for the team again, but the red head wasn't entirely satisfied with the fifth year's decision. Kurumi just couldn7t do it, she just couldn't bring herself to get back on a broom after that.
"Yeah...um...good luck," she nodded. Slytherin still had a lot of strong players, even if Evelyn wasn't around.
"Nice to meet you, Keefer," she smiled, bowing first and failing to notice he had offered his hand for a handshake. "I'm Kurumi, but, oh, um...you already knew that. Um...fifth year." Chances were that he knew that too.
Just then, Kurumi heard the toot of the engine and shot a quick glance towards the crimson train. "We probably should start heading on board..."

He wants to be a Ravvie or Gryffie..At least we're the same on that part.. Aki smiled.
Then she heard what Logan asked,
"Yeah, so we could find a compartment already.." held her trolley and started walking towards the train.
