Front of the train getting full? No worries, plenty of room in the back cars. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.
The boy made his way to a group of few people, a girl around his age and a couple of adults looking like there was something wrong. It was rude to interfere when someone was talking, but what choice did he has? "Excuse me," said Hades in a slightly louder voice as he cleared his throat. "Does this hat belong to any of you?"
Eddie was about to make an attempt to stand up and sit down on the bench next to the horrified senior ladies when he heard a sharp voice not far from him. Seeing his hat he exclaimed unnaturally loud "That’s my hat…Where did you find it?" The boy looked dressed for the train so Eddie took him for a student bound for Hogwarts but he didn’t recognize him.

Now Aurora didn't know much about healing but she knew - from extensive experience - that you should probably sit down and try and relax if you've hit your head.
Turning his attention to Aurora he nodded "Yes that might be a good idea. I feel a little dazed and wobbly." It wasn’t hard to tell why since Eddie’s head had connected with the stone covered pavement just a few moments ago. If he tried to stand up was he going to topple over again? "So you’re almost an owl student then?" He asked as the fog in his cleared slightly.

"No I haven't seen your trunk but I suspect we'll find it. After we're sure that you're not going to pass out or something right here on the platform, Eddie." She offered her hand too.
Taking Althea’s offered hand he pulled himself to his feet. Wobbling sideways for a bit he found his footing and skidded over to sit down on the bench. No chance that he was standing up the way he was feeling. Covering his face with his hands he mumbled more to Althea than the kids. "Sorry to spoil your morning. I feel lousy. My head aches and the world can’t stop spinning." Edvard apologized to confirm what Aurora had just told his colleague.

Aurora placed the kneazle carrier on the floor next to the bench and held out a hand to help Professor Roslund up to the bench. "Yeah, it's kinda scary." she said, making sure not to knock the carrier over as she helped him up - didn't want poor Luna being thrown all over the place again. Thinking about OWLs was scary... she was never any good at studying. And revision and dyslexia did not mix well... Anyway, even this year would be full of extra work - she had her grade eight magical music theory coming up at Christmas and she was not looking forward to it.
Professor Schirmer looked up at the polite interruption and her eyes went to the hat in question.
And then she looked towards the Astronomy professor. Best guess? Had to be his. The man might have been endearing and pleasant company but he was a bit of a hopeless case when it came to fashion.
She smiled politely at the young boy. A Hogwarts student? She didn't recognise him.

As the lady looked at the man, Hades too shifted his head towards the man. Boy, he looked a lot clumsier than Hades. Not to mention he had lost his trunk, hat... What else? Since he was new to Hogwarts, he should mind his manner. Therefore, fooling around was a big no for the time being.
None the less, the boy almost leapt to hear the unexpected exclamation from the man claiming that the hat was his. "Here you go, sir. Found it in the dust bin over there," he handed over the hat before pointing to the dust bin where his trolley was next to. Hades expected the red hair girl to be a Hogwarts student, but who were these two adults? Her parents? Didn't resemble her at all.

I've never played so it could turn out... interesting... and you should try out for Quidditch Minnie... you'd probably be quite good once you got the confidence on a broom!"

"Well then it's set." Minnie smiled "Alyssa drag me to the Quidditch tryouts for puff. Prudence you will tryout for Griff and well Harvs here will be trying out for the claws." She took a deep breath when the thought of that broom came to her head, but a deal was a deal and maybe that's what they all needed some fun on a team..
"So your dad's parents are in the circus?" That made more sense. Ellie could see no other logical explanation as to why someone would willingly swallow fire without the aid of a charm or spell.
If one called a circus logical.
Paint? Dance? "Really? ....How?" She simply didn't believe it. Any of it. Especially the bowling ball part. Elephants were just too big.
Delighted to try exams? This one was a Ravenclaw, right? One of the studious Ravenclaws that Ellie tended to avoid, particularly around finals time.
Quidditch, however. THAT was something she would talk about. Yup yup. "You haven't?!!" Ellie asked in a voice that suggested that that was a very ludicrous statement. "Of COURSE I'll teach you! ...Er...You've at least flown, right?" If not, she would TOTALLY teach....Laci how to fly. "I'm Ellie. Nice to meet you, Laci." And she meant it.
"My whole family is!" Though some went to other circuses and some stayed together. Then Ellie asked the obvious question, with only a simple answer "Lots of practice and LOTS of peanuts."
"I've never been sorted before, I wonder what I'll be put into!" And she knew who was usually put into which house, Laci just couldn't place herself. Quidditch however was unknown. So was flying basically... "I think I've flown once..... OH THANK YOU! We should be BEST FRIENDS! I've never had a best friend before! Well... Not one that was a human." Ellie and Laci... Best friends? GALLOPING ZEBRAS! This is amazing.

Maxwell ran through and opened his eyes, he moved out of the way to avoid oncoming wizards and witches. Helios made a squawking noise so Maxwell went to take the cover off of his cage. "Now that there are no muggles around you can come out." Helios made another noise this one like he'd seen someone he hadn't in some time. Maxwell turned to see his father, his real father. "Dad? what are you doing here?" Maxwell asked shocked but happy.
Maxwell hugged his father for the first time "Yes, She does. She hasn't said so but i think she misses you." Maxwell said thinking, wishing more that his parents could come back together.
Maxwell was handed a small pouch.
Ariana approached the south end of the Platform & saw Max hugging and talking to a stranger '-' weird. Ariana Approached the two. "Max, how did you get here before me. i went through the wall first!? ariana said more confused about him getting there first than the stranger at that moment.
Alec smiled as Adeline started to speak... and then she stopped. Why? She can't be about to say something mean. Adeline was a nice girl. She would never say anything-
And then came a woman. Alec's blue eyes swivelled up to the woman and then down at Adeline. It seemed as though the two knew each other. Maybe she was a guardian of some sort? Or her aunt? Alec didn't like the way she was looking at him though.
Erm... mum? She was her mother? Alec blinked. And yet, now she was actually addressing him. He still didn't like the way she was looking at him. "I'm Alec, Alec Summers," he said, holding out his hand, "And you're... Mrs Holiday?"
Adeline looked at her mother and rolled her eyes. She didn't want her mother to be here right now. Adeline looked at Alec and mouthed 'I'm sorry.'
Mirra watched her daughter roll her big brown eyes at her and Mirra went back to listened to what the boy had to say for himself. "Alec Summers?" she repeated. "Yes...well then..." she started. "I don't want you to be around my daughter." she told him. She shook her head. "Now Adeline pick your things up and walked away from this boy." Mirra said in a strick tone.

Gideon took a deep breath, waiting a moment before letting it out and letting it relax him. "Okay...done," he said, assuring Selina he wouldn't dwell too much on the older man's words and he would certainly try to do just that. "Its going to be nice to not have any parents or family bugging us about our relationship for a few months at least," he remarked temporally forgetting about Kacie at the moment. Family was nice but they could be stiffling after a while.
Listening to her talk about getting on her father's goodside through quidditch, he wondered if it would really work. However at her quick coverup of her compliment on his skills, Gideon bit back a laugh. "Is that so, Miss Skylar?" he questioned with raised eyebrow and crossed arms. "Well Cap-tain...don't let the title swell your head too much," he teased. Sure he was quite proud of her and her accomplishment but that didn't mean he had to be easy with her about it.
Selina chuckled lightly at his deep inhale and exhale. However, it was the words that he said after that stopped her chuckle a little short. He was so right. She could not wait to just resume being in a relationship that was theirs and not having to worry about others constantly intruding. Besides, their relationship was harmless to say the least. The two of them were friends first and a couple second, which undoubtabley made things easier on the pair of them, "Yeah I know what you mean. At least we have school to save us from the constant state of vigilance."
When he called her by her maiden name she crossed her arms with a smirk and raised her eyebrow, "Why yes it is, Mr. Gert." Then he told her to not let the Captain badge get to her head and she swatted his arm with her hand and said, "Oh please you know I won't, Gertie." She stuck her tongue out at him.
Aaron made his way to the platform, happily watching the other kids waiting to board the train. He remembered being terrified the first year, and Shay telling him that there were Dementors guarding the platform... With a grin he wondered whether there were Firsties that were terrified right now. He could see couple of young kiddies that looked... scared, at least, he thought they were.
But... Snakes were fearless, right?
Aaron shrugged and put his hands to his mouth. 'I NEED TO TALK TO A FIRST YEAR SLYTHERIN!'
Wait... they were first years, they still had to get sorted. 'ANY SLYTHERIN!'

Yep. Eddie's hat. She wasn't surprised. She listened a bit as he tried to politely carry on a conversation despite his head injury.
"Well goodness, Eddie. Don't scare the girl." She commented. Aurora had a WHOLE year to go before she had to worry about her OWLs.
As soon as he was seated, Althea actually clucked at him like a mother hen and then rooted around in her bag, extracting a headache potion, which she offered.
"Drink this, it will help with the head ache and the vertigo at least." She ordered him, ignoring the comment about spoiling her morning. He hadn't. He'd spoiled his own though, clearly.

"Eddie you had better CLEAN that before you put it on." She would not sit with a man wearing a dustbin hat. Simple as that.
Feeling eyes on her, the blonde woman looked at the boy again. HAD HE CLEANED HIS HANDS? OR THAT HAT? "Are you heading to Hogwarts? What is your name?" Because she was sure now that she didn't know this kid.
She wouldn't shake his hand.
Dustbin hat, you understand.

Gideon nodded, seeing that Selina registered what he had said about no parents to witness anything. Sure there were professors but it wasn't like they did anything wrong. Just acted as friends with the occasional flirty gesture mixed in. "Aye...and I'm sure we can get away from my dear sister when we want to," he mused already thinking of places they knew about that Kacie should be kept from or at least hidden from for even a little while. The older students did need their secrets from the new and younger ones.
He laughed but didn't duck away as she swatted at his arm in response to his comment. "Well one always has to be sure," he said chuckling again at the stuck out tongue aimed in his direction.
"Don't be scared of your OWLs now, Miss Stewart-Quinn." Really. She'd make herself constipated or something.
Aurora shook her head, "I'm more scared about my music exam actually, Professor." OWLs could wait. Though if she wanted to pass them she should probably start thinking about it after Christmas... lots of words to make sense of in her head. Anyway, not important at this moment.

She then giggled. "I'll tell you everything. Don't worry." she said with a smirk. She was so planning on slipping in something and convincing him it was the truth. That was... as soon as she came up with something good to tell.
Andddd... she giggled again. "Well. Seven years is a long time. Who knows... maybe I'll start liking it." Dressing girly was one of those things that happened with age, right? Along with liking boys?
She nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! We can all take flying lessons together!" she said bouncing a bit. "It looks like a lot of fun. OH! And we can sit together at quidditch matches. I can tell you allllll about it. Mina gave me a book last year. And Asher filled in the bits I didn't quite understand when we met this summer." And now she was a quidditch expert!
"Right. Pygmy puff." she said with a nod turning her attention to Asher. She frowned. "Not yet. I thought they should have similar names... since they're probably family." Or, at least from the same cage.
Her eyes widened. "Games? I love games!" she exclaimed bouncing up and down a bit. And now she was getting a hug! Yay! This was like the same kind of hug that Carter and Marilyn were having! Maybe that meant that they'd spend all next summer together!
She looked over at Alec to see what he thought about playing games on the train. He seemed to like the idea judging by his smile.
Which... actually made her feel a bit worse... She was not okay with him making new friends without her. But he seemed not to care at all.
Okay. Alec wasn't mad. He wasn't mad at all. He wasn't mad about her finding out about magic. That was what she was talking about, wasn't she? And according to the weird Ministry man, you can't tell anyone about this. So he was okay with that. But she had written to Asher about it? They had talked about this for a whole year! Something that was a huge part of Anya and she had shunted him, Alec, out. Talk about being best friends! "And, erm, did it help?" he asked. As long as it helped her...
And yet there was something about that 'everything' that troubled Alec. Anya could never be trusted with these kind of things. Especially when she was smirking! "It'd better be everything!" he said, "I think we have a long journey there so some stories would be nice." You know. He can pretend he knew everything already and not be as surprised. Perfect plan!
Alec blinked. Start liking it? Skirt and heels? And Anya Phillips? "Really Anya? Skirt and heels?" he asked, grinning, "I think i can get used to that." It was his turn to smirk now. See? Hogwarts was brilliant and he wasn't even there yet!
All take flying lessons together... which meant Asher would probably be there as well. But if Adeline came along with him, he probably wouldn't feel so left out. "There are matches?" he asked. And Anya was going to tell him everything about it... when had the tables turned? "I'd like that, yeah. You can teach me everything there is to know about... Quidditch?" That's what it was called, wasn't it? As for the Asher filling in the bits... he wasn't going to comment on that.
Alec continued to look between Anya and Asher as they... were they just hugging? It can't be! If they were hugging, he wouldn't be so bugged by it all. But he was still going to smile. There's no use telling Anya that he didn't like her being around Slimy Romalotti.

Alec turned to Adeline's mother as the woman started speaking. He gave her a smile. He might as well show her that he was nice, right?
O_____O
She didn't want him to be around Adeline? Alec looked down at Adeline and then up at her mother again. Why didn't she want him around her daughter? What had he done? He had only been nice! He hadn't done anything to Adeline or Adeline's mother. So why was she saying all this horrible stuff to him? "Am i allowed to know, erm, why you don't want Adeline to be around me?" he asked politely, looking at Adeline's mother.

Dallin seemed fine with it and that made Ellie happy.
They even shook hands. How official and manly of them.
Internally squeeing when Puddlemere was brought up, Ellie did her very best to contain her excitement. She loved Quidditch, she loved Puddlemere United, and she liked Carter. It was all just perfect and rainbows and butterflies in Ellie's head. And if Dallin wanted, he could tag along with Ellie while she bossed Carter around reminded Carter of all his appointments and made sure he woke up on time.
Ellie's attention turned back to Anya as she called her boyfriend cute. Heh. "Thanks. I think he's pretty cute too." Normally, Ellie would attack anyone who was preying on her boyfriend. But this girl was 11 or 12. She wasn't too worried.
And then the girl turned to Dallin and was rambling out questions like the world was ending. All about boyfriends and boys and stuff. It took Ellie a minute to register all of what she had said. "I-" She began, but Carter had clamped a hand around his sister's mouth and told them not to answer the questions.
Grinning, Ellie looked at Anya and bent over a little to the girl's height. Which really wasn't all that low because Ellie was so dang short."If you ask me at Hogwarts when Carter's not around, I'll tell you." She said in a whisper loud enough for the others to hear. Ellie winked at Anya and stood back up. Heh.
Anya giggled and winked back at the older girl. "Deal." she said to her. "I suppose I'll be seeing you around then." By the sounds of it, she'd be seeing a lot of them within the next few years. Which, was exciting for the young girl. She loved making friends.
"Have a good last term." Carter said looking between Ellie and Dallin. "And. A wise girl once told me that there's bigger and better after Hogwarts." He turned toward Ellie. "Don't forget that." Of course, he didn't expect the Ravenclaw to be as sad about leaving as he had been.

Yes, she remember when she was nice like that but sadly, she had to harden herself to people after a while. She just hoped that Anya wouldn't have to do that herself. Not everyone was as nice as they seemed and she didn't want her friend to have to find out the hard way about things.
Shaking her head, she couldn't help but giggled. "Well, maybe there is some hope for your brother after all." She still wondered what she was going to do with him, but for the mean time she would just leave him in the hands of someone else. "At least you are prepared to write us a lot." She could see that Carter was just trying to make sure that Anya didn't have an excuse for not writing, but it was still a bit cute to here.
Smirking at her friend, she shook her head. "No detentions at least the first year and if you do have a bit of fun, just don't get caught." She knew she wasn't innocent by any means herself, but a little trouble was fun from time to time. "Just a little bit and if you are caught, always blame it on the boys. That's what they are there for." Of course she didn't really believe that, but it was fun to think it from time to time.
Anya giggled. "I think we're going to just have to keep him." she said glancing back at her older brother for a second. Which was fine by her. She liked him just fine. Usually.
She nodded and gave the older girl one last hug. She should probably find a seat soon. "Thank you again for everything." she said as she pulled away. "Kites and ice cream again next summer?" she asked. Maybe more trips to Diagon Alley and to see Evan's matches. She did love seeing a good football match.

Alec continued to look between Anya and Asher as they... were they just hugging? It can't be! If they were hugging, he wouldn't be so bugged by it all. But he was still going to smile. There's no use telling Anya that he didn't like her being around Slimy Romalotti.
Alec blinked. Adeline was trying to tell him something. He looked at her lips carefully. What was she saying? It couldn't be anything bad could it? Maybe he could ask her to speak up a bit? There were too many people here and a lot of them were talking really loudly!
Anya hesitantly nodded. "It was a lot to process..." she said slowly. She blinked several times just then realizing that if she had waited... she could have gone through all of it with Alec. Or maybe if she hadn't of found out last year... they'd be in the exact same spot.
Not that she was complaining that she met Asher. Asher was a brilliant friend. He just wasn't Alec.
She smiled. "Well I have lots of stories." And she wasn't even in the mood to talk about made-up ones now. Which... was better for Alec.
And again with the clothes. "Geez Alec. If I didn't know any better I'd say that you like when I looked like a girl." she said nudging him with her shoulder. "Don't use all your material now though, you have a full seven years to torture me."
She nodded. Alec would just LOVE quidditch! She knew it. And she was excited to share the game with him. "We'll start right away. I'll give you lessons. And then we can go watch the trials. I think it would be fun." She wanted to meet her brother's old teammates as soon as possible. And hear embarrassing stories.
And then when the games came, they could all sit together!
O_O WHAT in the WORLD?
She eyed the crazy lady. And she was just about to protest, when she decided against it.
"What? Don't ask her that Alec." she near hissed at him. "If she doesn't want you around Adeline, then she doesn't want you around her."
And that was just perfectly alright with Anya.

Her whole family. "Oh. Does that mean you have siblings there, too? Or just grandparents?" It was odd, but the more they talked about it, the less crazy of an idea living in a circus seemed. In fact, it almost seemed normal by now. Just as normal as someone coming from the States or a completely Muggle family or something.
Ellie bit her lip. "And what part to the peanuts play?" Maybe they were wedged under the bowling ball to keep it from rolling? How they aided the dancing and painting, though, was beyond her.
"I don't know. I think the sorting can be wrong sometimes," she shrugged. Ellie shouldn't be in Ravenclaw, for example. Although she did get decent OWL grades...MORE than decent OWL grades, they convinced her mother more than herself that she belonged in her House.
She's only flown ONCE? She blinked at Laci. She was about to go on, suggesting when they should have these Quidditch lessons, when Laci mentioned 'best friend'. A simple phrase that scared Ellie. Only because it made her think of Lola Jones, asking to be best friends straight away. Though, Lola was much more...demanding in her requests. And...not one that was human? Was that what Laci said? Ellie offered a friendly smile, "Sure, we can be friends..." Mhhm. And they'll see where that goes.
It would be nice, though, a best friend...that wasn't a boy.

Smiling at the others she nodded. "I'm definitely trying out this year, plus it'll be interesting playing one another if we all get it" hearing Minnie's breathing differ once she looked over... "You'll be fine Minnie, plus I'm sure we can help you a bit with broom work before the try outs, and afterwards if you get in you've got Alyssa to help you... or the rest of us in spare time!"

Logan walked around the platform, looking for someone to talk to. He was really eager to meet some more people he'd be going to Hogwarts with. He was also itching to take his first step into Hogwarts...he was so excited! He felt like dancing or jumping with joy, but of course, he didn't. He just continued walking along, his cat, Peeta, following him.

Minerva smiled at Prudence "Yes I know. I will be fine." she hoped then she noticed a younger boy walking by. "Hey, excuse me." she didn't know how else to get his attention.

Minnie was quite welcoming Prue noted as she watched her call over to a boy. Watching him Prue smiled, remembering when she was a first year. She hoped that he heard Minnie, so simply stayed silent, smiling at him though in case he turned around, she didn't want him to feel unwelcome!

Oh boy! what HAD he gotten himself into.. Harvey thought.. well he DID say he COULD try.. but then Minnie was all set on him trying out and her trying out also and then he heard Prudence was going to try out.. so students from 3 houses, two of which were a couple were all going to try out for quidditch and if they got onto the team then they would most definitely be playing against each other.. he then heard Minnie say she will be fine before calling a boy to get his attention.

Logan heard a voice and turned his head to see the girl who had been crying earlier. He walked up to her. "Uh...hi." he said smiling.

Minerva smiled sweetly at the boy. "My name is Minnie. I wanted to introduce myself after that horrible introduction earlier. You just got me in a bad moment. I like your cat by the way."
