If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are windows and as the common room is located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by. A fire burning hunter green flickers in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
"What job does he do?" Eliza asked. She was fascinated by what wizards did when they were older. She still hadn't decided quite what she wanted to do, but one day she'd know. "I love cats, they're the best." She did like cats. They were nicer than dogs and all the other pets you could get.
"Something in the Minister's Office. He's an advisor or something like that." Sammy always found it funny how serious Wally was about work and such. It was not like him at all. "Mhm."

SPOILER!!: Eliza
"I wonder what they're going to teach us in Muggle Studies? Do you reckon it will be like muggle school? Because if it is then I'll be bad at it because my parents never sent me" she didn't mind though, she'd much preffered wandering Diagon Alley.
"I've never been to a muggle school either. My parents frown on that sort of thing." it looks like they were in the same boat on that issue. On the same hand though how hard could it really be it was muggle studies afterall.
SPOILER!!: Tahnee
Tahnee nodded excitedly. Heck yes! I'm trying out for the team this year! I don't think I'll make it but I think it will be good to have some experience on how the tryouts work and stuff, you know? She hadn't been playing Quidditch for that long, but she sure did love it! She practiced with her dad and brother every minute of her free time! Her two favorite positions so far were Beater and Seeker. Beater because, well, who wouldn't love hitting things with bats?! And Seeker was obvious, because you were basically the star player with everyone depending on you to catch the snitch! Are you? she asked, hoping she had finally found someone she could talk Quidditch to!
Glad that Hannah had actually found someone who liked not only the sport of Quidditch but actually playing it as well."I think I am going to go watch the tryouts this year and try out next year." She had decided that much anyways because she wasn't sure how good she would be as a first year with all of the older kids trying out. Plus she wanted to see how well she would keep up with her homework and studies first. Her parents did not not understand poor grades at all. "I love Quidditch though. Good luck on your tryouts." She sincerely hoped that she would do good. Then she could give her some pointers.
"Something in the Minister's Office. He's an advisor or something like that." Sammy always found it funny how serious Wally was about work and such. It was not like him at all. "Mhm."
"Nice. I want to work for the ministry too." Eliza thought of that esteemed building her father set off to for work every morning. It had always been the place she'd wanted to go, was there anywhere more filled with magic? - except Hogwarts of course. And to think some of the finest wizards had paced those floors; Voldemort, the Ministers' for Magic, Albus Dumbledore and other previous Headmasters of Hogwarts. After all she wasn't sure what other jobs there were for Wizards to do, and she didn't fancy being a healer, or working in Diagon Alley...

Good as long as it wasn't expected you had. Her parents hadn't wanted her socialising with... muggles. They had some funny opinions of them. Funnily enough however; she was perfectly safe wandering Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley all by herself. She couldn't see the point though, did she really care how muggle appliances worked, or how to dress normally, or how to interact with them? If she had any choice she would rarely socialise with them; she had little problem with them, but they had no magic. And Eliza ceratinly did not want to live without magic. Grinning down at Amelia as she sat down and leaned into him, he slid his arm out and put it around her. Should he ask, no probably not because she wouldn't have sat that close unless she'd wanted to. He was very content to sit there just like that. It felt so natural!
"Of course it's a word." he said nodding forcing himself not to laugh or crack a smirk. Because a word could be made at anytime if it was the right time for it. "Cute pup! His name's Clarke? What's yer Pygmy Puff's name?" he asked curiously. She hadn't told them yet had she? He didn't think she had anyway.
Another word? A smile flickered again before he yawned. Trying to hide it he failed as it grew even more. "So are there places here we should definitely check out, those of us who are here fer the first year?" he asked curiously,

"That's good. Because I like Clarke too," Amelia replied brightly, giving the Cruppy some more enthusiastic rubbing, leaning over Isaac to do so. Next time she was in a pet store she was getting a cruppy. Because this one was adorable. And Amelia was already falling in love with the cute little guy. Babies and Cruppies were her weak spots apparently.
"Well then Sel, can I call you Sel, I look forward to having an AMAZINGREATFUL time in this fantastic house that has the most awesometastical of prefects," Amelia replied brightly, copying the other girls words, some of which she'd actually used before this day. Because they were so real words, no matter what Isaac might have thought about that.
"Ohhh Pygmy Puff. That's so cute," because that was an important contribution to the conversation. Obviously. But one shouldn't blame Amelia for that! She was tired and Isaac had put his arm around her. She was just a little bit happy about that people which made concentrating a little bit hard.
Of course Isaac would ask the important questions. Therefore Amelia would have to listen intently to hear what the reply was.
Selena beamed. It was clear that Clarke liked the girl which was good! She just hoped that Clarke didn't start chewing on her shoes to shoe his affection. She then looked at the boy and nodded. Yes, it was very much so a word. An epic word. A word that would beat all other words. Because it was that cool.
"He's a CRUP-PY," Selena corrected as the cruppy barked at Isaac for confusing him with a simple pup. Proud creature. Hmph. "The pygmy puff's name is Kent!" Selena said smiling. She liked Kent. She also liked Clarke. They were going to be best friends - the pygmy puff and cruppy, that is. "Kent also eats boogies," she added. Which wasn't cool. At all. It was just gross and weird. Eh, she supposed it could be worst... like... Kent could like eating toe jam or something. Ick.
Could Amelia call her Sel? Psht. Easiest question EVER. "Yes! Most of my friends call me Sel, or Sellie, or something or the other," Selena said beaming from ear to ear. She liked this girl. A lot. Because... the girl truly did believe in the world of cooliosity and stuffs of that sort. Selena approved. A LOT. "Good, good, and we're all going to win the house cup again! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!" Selena exclaimed. Because Slytherin was EPICTASTIMAZICAL that way. Yup.
Places? "My bestie, Emma, and I always visit the giant treehouse, it's like our favorite place. We meet there every year and jump off of the top, but I'm not sure if it's here this term, haven't checked yet... then there's... the Lake where, literally, EVERYONE goes. And there's the Kitchens - best place... EVER. And there are places just to hang, y'know, Whomping Willow if you wanna get hit by insane trees and stuff," Selena said shrugging. All she knew was Hogwarts was super awesome. Most places were super awesome. "The Astronomy tower has an awesome view," Selena added. It was always so pretty up there.

"Did you have a good Summer?" she asked.
The seconder seemed to like everyone Sel didn't. Herbology was icky. Astronomy was sleepy. Potions was scary. Kids these days, then again, Sel had liked Potions in her first year... before... y'know, kids all set on fire and stuff. After that, Selena wasn't quite sure about liking the class. Sammy nodded. "It sounds like it would be kinda cool...I don't know if that's where I wanna end up yet though." He couldn't imagine being stuck in an office all day. He didn't know how Wally did it to tell you the truth.
Harlow had been out exploring the castle and the grounds, and now she was tired. It was hard work being this small and trying to climb up on things that were built for regular sized people.
She walked into the common room and looked around. There were a lot of new faces and she wanted to meet all of them she really did, but she was two seconds away from dropping where she stood. Harlow spotted Kennedy and she walked over to him.
He was sitting on the sofa and she climbed onto the couch and laid her head in his lap. The same way she would do her dad after he got home from work. "Hi Kennedy," she yawned slipping her thumb into her mouth.
Kennedy was kind of dozing off when he felt something on his lap. He looked down and smiled. "Hello there, Harlow," he said. She reminded him of a child.
D'aaw!
Now, wasn't that cute. That made him sound like a complete softy, but it was the TRUTH. And then she... she looked like a BABY. Kennedy patted her head like his mom would when he was younger. "How's the beginning of the term treating you?" he asked.

She seemed somewhat familiar, but he had to admit it; he didn't know her. So, he smiled and waved back.

Blinking as the cruppy barked at him, he bit his lip to keep the laughter at bay. Apparently he didn't like being called a pup. Ad raised an eyebrow when Mikey choked on the chocolate. She nodded. "Yeah. I don't know for how long though. As long as Jake decides to stay. But here, Maria has free reign" she told him, wrapping her arms around her legs.
Mikey smiled at Ad. That was great news. "I don't care, as long as I get to see her" he replied.

"Oh, oh as in Clarke Kent???" Amelia asked excitedly. Yes she was a dork and liked Superman. So sue her. But it was epic, even if it was completely muggle. She used to watch it every weekend until she discovered the legends of King Arthur. After that her Superman obsession was relegated to something she'd get excited about once in a while, but didn't dwell upon too often.
Ohh. That was just gross.
"You will, but things aren't so different here, and I'm sure people will help you adjust," or Amelia would whenever he said something that confused her completely.
Amelia stopped petting Clarke, giving him a final little head scratch, before she leaned back almost completely into Isaac. She really was exhausted but she was doing her best to listen to the conversation and not give away that she was one comfortable person, or bed, away from falling asleep.
He wanted to know about secret tunnels that were probably really creepy and claustrophobia inspiring?? If he was going to find any of those he'd be counting her out.
Selena nodded in understanding. History of Magic had too many dates, too many events, too many people and it was quite hard to cram all those names into her brain. The look on Selena's face showed him that she disliked History of Magic too. Who would like that subject, anyway? It was boring. There wasn't any spells, potions, plants nor creatures to deal with. Just the boring old books watching his as he fell asleep. That happened most of time and Hades was sure it will happen again even if it was at Hogwarts. "Oho! New professor..." he grinned as he mumbled to himself. New professors were usually the interesting ones. He should drop by at his office sometimes.
"It was," he nodded. Heck, yeah it was cold! Freezing, honestly. But his body was used to it, thus it was rather hot for him over here in Scotland even though it was cold too. "Nah, I don't want to trouble the elves," they already worked hard to feed the mankind dwelling in Hogwarts. Poor creatures, they were.
She felt absolutely stuffed, and well, fat to be honest. Who wouldn't? With all the food that she eaten during dinner, it was sort of impossible not to eat. It was getting really hard to refuse the food that the house elves cooked. It was too delicious.
She entered the common room and smiled, glad that nothing had changed. Not that she expected anything to change to be honest. But hey, this was Hogwarts, you couldn't be too sure. Without any other delays, Cass headed towards her usual seat - her favorite seat - the couch near the green fire which looked absolutely warm and inviting...
With a sigh, she sank deep into the cushions and felt her eyes grow heavy as she leaned back against the pillows...
Sammy shrugged his shoulders. "They're all right. Lessons are boring to begin with...and magic doesn't make them much better." He was a smart kid, but classes sucked.
"Yeah, they've been ok, but it feels like muggle school." she replied. Muggle school was boring. Not that she'd ever been, she could just make that assumption.

Cardigan sat on one of the cushions and looked around the common room. There were a lot of interesting people in here;she`d have to get to know them.Later on,of course.Luckily, she had grabbed her Herbology textbook,One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, and proceeded to read some of it ,ust for pleasure.Aconite,Aconite,Aconite, she thought while searching through the book.Might as well try something new.

So this was the common room. It was ... icky. So green and miserable looking. Pathetic. You'd think that people who were deemed as "ambitious" would go for something a little less... mouldy looking.
Sighing as she stomped through the common room, she decided to go to bed. And then she saw the fireplace. It was green. And not even Floo green. PRETTY green.
Ooooh.
With a twitch of interest, Delilah wandered over to the fireplace and with a total disregard for the students already sat on the couches, the girl sat down RIGHT in front of the fireplace.

"It can't be that hard, but it can't exactly be... hard can it?" Eliza thought out loud.
Atleast Eliza understood and was raised like Hannah was. Her parents were the same way. Someone that she relate to. "I seriously don't see how it can be hard. Afterall they don't even have magic." Unless maybe that was the hard part...doing things without magic and having to learn the hard way of how they do their every day life. I guess only time will tell.
