If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are windows and as the common room is located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by. A fire burning hunter green flickers in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

SPOILER!!: Eliza
"Our Common Room is hands-down the best, afterall it's is home to the best house" she emphasised. She could imagine herself here over the next seven years; watching all manner of creatures swin past the windows, reading by the fire, studying, talking waith Hannah and Tahnee and Conrad and everyone else she'd met on the comfy sofas. She was happy, it would be nice.
"I'm looking forward to it all" she replied, but then she added. "Except flying, I'm terrible at flying, and Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology, I'm horrendous when it comes to the great outdoors" she admitted. She didn't like to admit this, Eliza liked to be the best, that was part of the reason why she was a Slytherin.
"No room for argument there. We are the best." It was nice to have someone to talk to. She didn't know if she would go as far as to say friend yet because it took Hannah awhile to trust people. Eliza seemed to have came from a noble enough family so there didn't seem to be any issues with a friendship between them, but only time will tell. She will be friendly until something happens that gives her a reason not to be.
"The only thing I'm not really looking forward to is Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies." Hmph...muggle studies what a waste in her opinion. "I'm really looking forward to flying also. I hope to get a lot of practice so I can try out for the Quidditch team next term." She really wanted to be apart of the team. She knew she was good enough she just hoped that everyone else realized that.
SPOILER!!: Tahnee
SO ready! It may seem strange but I can't wait until we have classes! Is that weird? It's probably because I'm a firstie, she said with a laugh. Most people would be dreading the start of a grueling year of exams, homework, and teachers, but Tahnee was looking forward to it. The excitement would probably fade, though, with the coming of her first essay.
"I'm actually really looking forward to it myself." Well she was looking forward to certain classses anyways, there were some however that she didn't think would be worthy of her time. "Any class in particular that you are looking forward to? Or not looking forward to?" It would be nice to have a friend or an acquaintance rather that was strong in every subject. You never knew when someone might come in handy. Not that hannah relied on anyone...you could just never be too safe.

Entering the common room from the dormitories Isaac looked around wondering if Amelia was around or if she was still off settling in. Spotting an empty couch, he sat down on one end stretching his long legs out in front of him onto the floor putting his hands behind his head. It'd been a long day, and he just wanted to relax now. Everyone seemed to be in their own conversations, and he didn't want to interrupt just so he could meet more people. Looking around at the others in the common room, he settled back closing his eyes lost in thought.

Sam, nice. Eliza wasn't always a social person, it was just she wanted to be on good terms with her housemates, after all she'd be having seven years with them. He looked a little skeptical at talking to her. Oh well. "How're you liking Hogwarts, and Slytherin of course" she asked. In her opinion Slytherin was the best.
Sam sat there as just looking at Eliza. He was starting to realize he would never be able to escape all of these girls. Never. "It's pretty awesome...and I'm still getting used to Slytherin." He was still kinda in denial about his sorting...even if he thought the common room was pretty awesome.

Selena was still sitting comfortably on her spot on the couch. Evidently, someone had the same idea and sat on a couch. Really, he ought to put his legs on the couch to feel more comfortable. So she didn't quite understand. "PSSSSST," Selena whispered to the boy loudly. Because really, she didn't have to hide anything. "If you're going to sleep, the dorms are that way," Selena said, smirking and pointing towards the stairs that led to the boys' dormitories. Y'know, 'cause a bed was more comfortable than a couch.

As he looked at Sam, Matt quickly noticed that his expression turned to one of almost fear; huh.. what did he see the house ghost randomly? Well that was definitely understandable. But then he backtracked what he said and realized that that reaction had to be from mentioning that he had two sets of exams this term. Well he wasn't looking forward to it either since one was enough for him to handle at times but at least he didn't have as many classes to deal with over the term. "Ah, I've met a few people from New York. I'm originally from Los Angeles but I'm living on my own in London, it's definitely a huge difference since I'm used to getting to spend my free time on the beach." That was definitely awesome, just getting to hit the waves whenever he could but now he had books to read and classes to deal with so it wasn't exactly fun.

It wasn't her fault anyway, it was how her parents had brought her up, to think she was the best and certainly better than others for being pureblood.

It seemed like talking about Los Angeles immediately made him think of his offer over the summer to take some of his friends there, well Matt didn't have a problem with being a tour guide for such an event since he knew the city like the back of his hand. Plus it was just cool since he'd get to hang out with friends who hadn't been to America before. "Well.. you should go sometime. It's a fascinating city, the streets are alive every second of every day and honestly I miss it." But there was nothing wrong with being here, nah he got to meet some pretty awesome people and hang out with his girlfriend in the process; which was perfect.

Eliza narrowed her eyes, unsure if it was sarcastic or not, before questioning. "Is that meant to be sarcastic?" Eliza raised her eyebrows, completely ignoring the question about Quidditch. She flipped a sheath of her nearly waist length silver-blonde hair over her shoulder. Her composed smile was gone. Who did this girl think she was? She was Eliza Cutsem, heiress to at least fifty million galleons, ancestor of the famous Selwyn family and most importantly, she was not to be trifled with.

"Anyway, no I don't think I will try out for the team, Quidditch is one of the subjects I do not excel in, which causes little problem to me because I would seldom use it, though it can be enjoyable, I much prefer apparition, even if I can only do side-along." Trust me, your lucky to be an only child. Anyways, I don't know what else to say. I don't like bragging much cus I don't have much to brag about.
Angelina walked down into the common room for the first time since last school year. She never really spends anytime in here. Maybe she will this year and make more friends! She loves meeting new people! There was a lot of Slyterin's already down here hanging out. She seemed almost to be the only one not talking to someone. It was alright she got her book. Walking over to the couch she sat down quietly and open up her book to continue where she left off the other night on the Hogwarts Express.
"Oh. I don't have any brothers or sisters." Eliza told Jen. In her head she'd privately admit she'd hate a sibling; she was the apple of her parents' eye and that was not going to change.

Selena was crushed as Katie hugged her and Clarke immedoately woke up, unhappy and in search of someone's shoes to chew on. Selena just started to giggle hugging Katie back. "I didn't see you this summer," Selena replied, still smiling from ear to ear. Party? "Will there be food?" Selena wouldn't be satisfied if there was no food at said party.
"Pleasure Hades, hows Hogwarts been treating you so far this year?" Katie asked with a warm smile on her face, she used to always ask How are you and that jazz but Katie had found this question much better so she always asked that to her fellow students.
Katie waved beaming to Raven, "Anything been happening since we last saw each other?" Katie asked, she hadn't seen her not long ago, it was a small Hogwarts some times, but it was always nice to see the girl she had met at the Lake who she had nearly banged into when doing an epic cartwheel.
Katie sighed, "I know, but we must make sure we meet up the next summer! Even though thats ages away" Katie laughed, so what it was ages away? That was a good thing really, she wasn't leaving Hogwarts again anytime soon, splendid. "Even better, there shall be Candy" Katie smiled, she knew how much Selena liked sugar so clearly there was going to be sweets, because everyone liked sweets, and if they didn't they must be crazy.
