The last few times she had gone off to study and brought most of her books, it hadn't actually gone well, so she decided to just bring a few. Maybe then she'd be able to study. But should she go to the library or somewhere else? She pondered that question as she wandered down the corridor...
She needed break..break from the heaps of schoolwork that has already piled before her eyes. Sigh. All the incantations were just...new to her and it meant that she needed to memorize them again. And that was just not her thing. Memorizing spells were a bit difficult for her so to speak.
Lazily, she headed out of the common room and then she saw Vashti, their new Queen Head Girl. She quickly reverted her mood to her normal cheerful self. "Hi Vashti! I mean Head Girl, what you up to?" Not more studying she hoped? But then, the books explained it all.
After walking Taylor to the common room to drop off her bag, Logan led her up to the Seventh Floor corridor to search for this...secret room.
Taylor walked down the corridor with Logan, happy to be freed of her bag and jacket. She yawned, "Isn't it difficult to find it?" Taylor was trying to avoid saying what they were looking for.... she didn't know why.

TAylor didn't even blush when he took her hand this time. She looked around trying to find the room also. Taylor then looked back at Logan, "MAybe we should do some research about the room in the library? We might be able to find something that gives a hint or tells us where it is located at." Taylor showed some of her Ravenclawness in that question/ statement.

Logan nodded. "Good idea. Let's go." he said, turning around and heading to the direction of the library.
Eliza hadn't had much time to look around the castle yet. It was huge, she felt like everytime she woke up the classrooms had switched places. She hadn't yet visited the seventh floor, and since she thought she ought to actually know where everything was she had finally climbed up the many sets of stairs to reach... another corridor.

"Ella!" Jezz ran down the seventh floor corridor after her snowy owl. "Ella! Stop acting up and go back to the owlery." She watched as the owl hooted softly then landed on the shoulder of another girl who looked to be her age. "Ella get off her shoulder right this instant." She gave the girl a small smile, "I am so sorry. I don't know what's gotten into her."

All Eliza felt was the familiar tiny clawed feet of an owl on her shoulder. Hmm. For a minute she frowned, wondering what the owl was doing here, didn't they have an owlery? Eliza, hearing a voice, turned around. She looked the girl up and down. A Gryffindor, probably about her year, maybe the second at a push. She raised her eyebrows at the girl. "No matter." she said. She thought she ought to introduce herself. "I'm Eliza."

"Jezzabelle," She said smiling. "Ella will you PLEASE get off of Eliza's shoulder." The owl hooted once more and pushed off the girls shoulder and landed on hers. "Thank you." With her head on straight she looked at the girl more closely now. Slytherin. "So what year are you in? I'm in my first."

Eliza smiled back. She was happy Jezzabelle had made the owl, Ella, get off her shoulder. She liked owls, they were useful and everything, but she didn't like them that much, otherwise she'd have one of her own. "First year too" Eliza answered brightly. It was nice to meet someone from a different house. She felt like she'd spent her life in Slytherin, her parents were Slytherin, her relatives were Slytherin, her friends were Slytherin. She didn't mind a Gryffindor, as long as it wasn't a Hufflepuff. She thought silently. She pulled a loose strand of her silvery-blonde, nearly-but-not-quite waist length hair out from behind her ear and let it cascade down her. She had been growing it for a long time. Not just for Hogwarts, for vanity. Eliza was a vain sort of person and her hair was her favourite part of herself, it framed her face nicely. She tilted her head to one side and narrowed her eyes. "What kind of owl is she?"

Jezz stroked the beak of her owl and smile, "She's a snowy owl. My grandfather-" And she let it drop off there. She didn't want to discuss her grandfather yet again. She missed him so much and it seemed like being back in the school made him stay with her anywhere and everywhere she went. She turned to the owl, "Go to the Owlery. I need you later to send a letter to mum and dad." She wasn't even sure if they would get the letter. Business is business. The owl hooted and left. "Do you have any pets?" She was okay with people from Slytherin. She had two friends in the house. Actually, she had a friend in every house, now that she thought about it. She flipped her curls over her shoulder. They weren't natural but she had a hair potion she used to get the curls. She wasn't vain, but she did like to look nice.

"Sort of" Eliza said "we have an Eagle owl, well my parents do... Her name is Hera and I get a letter from her every now and again. I was going to get a pet but then I decided not to, I'm a bit lazy." Eliza admitted. Which was true, she couldn't be bothered to do so many things, still though she had spent the first eleven years of her life wandering Diagon Alley. In fact, sometimes she wished she was still there, it was bizzarely calming to watch all the Wizarding folk make their purchases, and eating one of Florean's sundaes at the same time of course. Why did they have to go to school, she wanted to learn magic and such, bu really, it would be so much more fun if they could just be given a textbook, do a test and go home. She would pass in thrity seconds. Well, she hoped. She'd always supposed she'd be a good witch, she was a pureblood for crying out loud.

"That's cool. Pets aren't for everyone," Jezz said smiling. "I have an owl but it's rare I ever get letters back." She missed those simpler days. She didn't have to worry about writing her parents to check on them. She went to work with them...well kind of. They went to work and she would wander the streets of Diagon Alley until seven. At which point, she would find her father a little disheveled and ready to go home. Eliza looked a little familiar. "Did you ever spend a lot of time in Diagon Alley?"

Had Jezzabelle learned Legilimency? It was weird how she almost read what Eliza thought. "Yes, yes I did as a matter of fact. I spent pretty much the whole of the previous eleven years prior to Hogwarts wandering Diagon Alley really. My parents didn't really mind as long as I didn't lose myself." she trailed off. "Why, have you been there a lot?" she asked. Hmmm, Eliza needed to learn to be a Legilimens. It would be cool.

No magical powers needed to have a long memory. "Yeah. I feel like I might have seen you around. My dad works there." She had actually seen a lot of people and many people she ran into looked familiar. "I'd wander there for hours. Eating ice cream. Looking at all the book in Flourish and Blotts." You name it, she probably did it.

Eliza tilted her head to get a better look. She looked reasonably familiar. "What does your dad do?" Eliza asked. She still hadn't decided what she'd do when she was older and she wanted to decide. Her mother had never worked and her father did.... Bits of this and that, including lots of dark, and most probably illegal magic.

"Not really sure," Jezz said shrugging. "He never really told me." She'd seen him vanish many times. Not once had she ever seen him work in one of the many shops or be one of the street vendors. Nope. "My mom runs her own business." That was all she really knew about her parents. They worked a lot.

Eliza raised her eyebrows. How could she know so little about her parents? It wasn't Eliza was a nosy child, she just had always been told other peoples business was her business. "My mother never worked, she married my father when she was still young" only because she was having me. Eliza added in her head. Her parents were engaged to marry anyway, they jjust married faster when she came along. "My father does... this and that" Eliza continued, deciding she ought not tell a girl she had just met all about her parents. Afterall, her father certainly did not want the ministry to know some of the business deals he'd done, and the objects he'd owned.

Jezz shrugged at Eliza's raised eyebrows. "My parents are never home long enough to tell me anything." She had seen her parents maybe three possibly four times a month. "My aunt practically raised me after my grandfather passed away." She let it slip out without thinking. But it had been the truth. Her parents raised her till she was three. Her grandfather raised her till she was eight and her aunt did the rest. "I don't really care though. It'd eventually just be me on my own anyway right?" Like now for instance. She was on her own at Hogwarts. No mum and dad to hold her hand and coddle her.

An eyebrow went up. That was a bit conceited, wasn't it? Though Ellie knew that Treyen tended to know nearly EVERYONE, as she'd told Max, it didn't mean that he should know that he knows nearly everyone.
And then he clarified himself. "You mean that I didn't mention him?" She shrugged, "He never came up." Honestly, did Treyen really want her going on about some other guy when they spent time together. He didn't like talking about Dallin....He didn't even like talking about Little Professor. What would Treyen think if she spoke of the boy she cuddled with and cried on and had heart-to-heart conversations with?
So she didn't mention her bestfriend. If anyone should be upset, it should be Max, actually, but either Max didn't know or didn't care that he wasn't mentioned.
Yes, that's exactly what he meant. Not that it truly mattered much, but Ellie was denying him of a very nice Ravenclaw. That one bit was the only thing that mattered.
And...granted, he was only being mentioned now, thanks to Treyen, by the way. "Right." Sadly, chances were that he wouldn't come up once again in quite some time, after all, what was there to say? He'd said everything he'd wanted to about the kid...and...that was it.
Soon enough they were going down the stairs...to...probably meet a few more students in their way, but that was another typical day at Hogwarts. Only this time he'll try his best to ignore them, since it wasn't a typical day.

"Yes, I suppose so...." really it made sense, Jezzabelle was right, it wasn't like her parents would always be around. At least she could be thankful if they did die they'd leave her their house, and Gringott's vault. She couldn't help but wait for the day she was seventeen, an adult finally. She could Apparate, she could do any magic she liked, and she could go work at the Ministry or not work at all and travel instead. Oh, decisions, decisions.

"'Vashti' is fine, remember," she told her with a small grin. Now, what was she up to? "I was going to go find a place to study for my NEWTs." Where that place was, though, she still wasn't sure. "What about you?"

"Yeah, but it's whatever," Jezz said smiling. She was a pureblood after all and they almost always got everything they ever wanted. When she turned seventeen she was going to follow her god mothers steps. She'd eventually end up in the ministry but she wanted a chance to experience life before she did. "But eh, I still have six years until I can completely cut myself off from them." She had tried in her early childhood to connect with them, but alas, she could never get their attention for long.
