Come and send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. Owls line the walls in nooks and on branches. Pellets and belladonna berries are on the floor.

Alyssa wearily walked up to the Owlery and found Shannia. "Hi girl. How are you doing?"Alyssa spoke with her as she pulled out a handful of owl pellets out of her pocket to feed her. "Girl, I need you to send a note to my parents. Can you do it for me?" Shannia rubbed her head against Alyssa's head. Alyssa started crying as she read the note she had in her hand one more time.
Text Cut: Note to Mom and Dad
Dear Mom and Dad, I wish that I could say that I was enjoying myself right now, but that would be lying. I now wish that I had let Claudia take my place. Things just haven't turned out the way I wanted it to, and now because of a challenge that someone and I played together, he's in the hospital wing and a younger student is being reprimanded. I just wanted to have some fun, and I was, until things turned south. I most likely will get expelled. So before the Head Master decides to do so, could you just come and get me? I'll be packed and waiting for you at the gates. Just let me know when you'll be coming. I'm so sorry for disappointing the both of you.

Alyssa silently wept as she tied the note to Shannia's leg. Then she ruffled her feathers one last time, fed her another handful of pellets and once Shannia was done eating, she let Shannia climb on to her arm. Taking Shannia to the window, Alyssa lifted up her arm and Shannia flew up and out, and soon was a small dot in the distance.
Alyssa sighed as she looked at the departing figure and then turned around and walked back down the stairs. It was a good thing that she hadn't totally unpacked her trunk.
Jen walked back to the owlery and saw her owl Lilly with a letter in her beadles. Jen stroked her owls feathers, took the otter and gave her owl a treat. Jen took the letter and walked outside to read it
Giving the owl that just bit her a cold look, Gwen decided she will never get one. For sure. At least her cat was nice enough not to bite her. Not even when she used that spell on it. Nope. Jinx was way better than any owl could ever be.
Sending?‘Err… nothing, actually’, the third began saying, and, after making a short pause she added: ‘I just realized that in the past two years I have explored the castle, but never been here’ See- I can tell the truth…‘Have you seen the new places- on the grounds?’, Gwen asked Luna. ‘I wasn’t expecting stuff to change around’, she admitted.
‘So yours doesn’t bite?’ the girl raised her eyebrow while checking out Luna’s owl. Maybe not all of them were so annoying as this one, she thought and glimpsed back at the brownish owl. Enemies for life!, she gave the animal a cold look.

Okay so the Kitchen wasn't the best example since the House elves couldn't be bothered if you were there or not but technically if they were servents and they lived there then the were their servents... It seemed pretty mean but house elves like working don't they... anyways house elves weren't a great subject so she decided to drop that little fight thing in her head

‘Merlin’s beard!’, Gwen mumbled and pressed her right hand with her fingers, hoping that the bleeding would stop. It didn’t look very bad, but it was enough. After searching for a couple of minutes, the Ravenclaw finally found her wand. ‘Episkey!’, she said loud and clear. This was easy, the girl told herself, noticing how quickly it healed. There- all done!
‘No. Not sending’ she began saying, and, after making a short pause, she added: ‘Well, I also wanted to see if my mom’s owl got here. It usually brings me the Daily Prophet and other newspapers. And obviously, letters from home’ Duh.

Alyssa quickly ran up the stairs to the Owlery. She immediately spotted Shannia, her Snowy Owl and went to her. She patted her owl, taking out some owl pellet food from her jacket pocket and fed it to her. "Shannia, I need you to take this poem to The Healer, right now. Can you do that for me?," Alyssa asked her pet. When Shannia hooted and raised her leg, Alyssa quickly tied the apology poem to Shannia's leg with a red ribbon. She then let Shannia climb onto her arm and brought her to the window opening. Raising her arm, Alyssa allowed Shannia to fly off to deliver the poem to the Healer.

"Peter! Come here" she said and her owl flew down to her, "Take this to Luke, quickly," and with that he flew off. She turned around and began to sob, she missed Peter so much, and because of that she nameed her owl after him, now she wished she hadn't everything reminded her of him. Everything.
In her hurry, she bumped into some third year girls, by the looks of them, "S-sorry," she said, "I-I'm L-Leia P-Potter-Nightingale, I'm sorry about that," she stuttered, oh, she remembered how she met Peter, they bumped into eachother, and she spoke just like this, well, close enough, she was only 4 when they met.
After taking their time walking from the Duck Pond out on the Grounds, to the dungeons and the Slytherin Common Room to drop off the cat, then back to the seventh floor to get parchment from Gryffindor Tower August and Taryn were finally at the last stop--the Owlery.
The Gryffindor pushed opent he door and began to walk into the dropping and dead mice strewn floor and looked for a clean-ish spot to perch where the two of them could write their letter to Tori Bunbury. "Nice place huh?" he said gesturing to the dirtiness of it all.

August looked out the window and the great view of the Forbidden Forest below as Taryn wrote her section of the letter to their former Slytherin friend. She wasn't taking too long before she was finished and August realized he hadn't brought an evelope.
"Ummm nope. I forgot." he said with a chuckle. He then got an idea. "Give it here for a second."" he took the parchment from her and rolled it into a scroll and then reached down and yanked the shoe-string from his tennis shoe then tied it securely around the parchment.

Anya skipped into the owlery holding a handful of letters. It was already October and she hadn't sent ANY letters out! It was just awful and unacceptable. Stepping through the threshold into the owlery she stopped skipping.
She didn't want to fall in the... owl stuff. That would be gross.
Alright. Now where was her CiCi?
After calling down her owl, Anya began stuffing letters into envelopes.
"This one is for Marilyn." she said quickly scribbling the name on the envelope. She deposited that into CiCi's pouch. "And then Mina, Marie, Destiny, Carter, and Mum and Dad." she said depositing each letter in turn. CiCi was going to be fairly busy the next few days.

It was great to hear from you! You must think I'm horrible for not writing sooner. I've just been... adjusting. I've been getting lost on average 5 times a day... normally right before meal times. But I guess that's better than being late to my lessons, right?
Yes. I was sorted into Gryffindor -- the house of the red lions. Supposedly that means I'm brave or something. I don't really get it. But one can't really argue with a talking hat.
I've met tons of people. I've had loads of adventures already. I'm putting in a copy of a picture that I took earlier this term. There's a topiary garden here this term. It's brilliant. They actually move! Can you believe it? Anyway... I was riding it and a CRUMPET attacked me! You know, one of those puppies that don't like muggles. And then it decided to live on my head... and for some reason there were tons of people concerned with how I learned to climb trees. (Do they not teach you that growing up in the wizarding world?) Long story short, we all took a picture! There's the Magical Creatures Professor... and another muggleborn in my house... and the Ms. Prefect Lady... and the Quidditch Captain... and the Mr. Landscape Architect Groundskeeper Man.
The only downside so far is that Alec is in the yellow house. It's kind of sad that we were reunited just to be separated again. But I guess it's better than not being with him at all. And from what you said about Hufflepuff, I know why he was sorted there.
To answer your question - I HAVE met a Slytherin. He's muggleborn too! At least, I think he is, he likes comic books and movies. We were checking out the Whomping Willow together.
Oh! How exciting! You're in Japan now? That MUST be fun. I'm not sure what my plans for the holidays are yet. Mum and Dad are going to be in America for a conference and Carter is having his assistant friend lady person coming over for a bit. I don't want to intrude on his little reunion. Plus, I think Destiny is still over there. So, maybe it would be best if I did come to visit for a bit. I'll have to ask Carter since I'll probably be staying with him. I'll let you know when I hear back.

How have you been? Has the football season been keeping you busy? Has Evan been well? You remembered to give him a hug and kiss from me, right? Hehehe. It's a bit weird not being able to turn on the tele and catch the match. I got in quite the habit of that over the summer.
Things have been going well for me. I was sorted into Gryffindor. It was kind of hard at first. Remember my best friend Alec? Well he's at Hogwarts too! He's in Hufflepuff though. I... might have given everyone a horrible first impression of me. I... may have been crying a bit at the hat's decision. But I guess a hat knows what's it's doing, right?
I promised you pictures. So, enjoy this one. It's a picture of me... with a crumpet on my head... on top of a moving giraffe topiary. I've been absolutely in love with Hogwarts since that day. I admit I was a bit homesick before. Plus, it's a bit hard to get used to all these torches. The castle is a bit creepy at night. The fact that there are ghosts just adds to the creepiness. I'm REALLY glad I don't need to go to the dungeons at night.
I've made tons of friends so far. A lot of the older kids have been really nice to me too. Ms. Prefect Lady has been a big help with everything. I've heard tons of funny stories about my big brother. Turns out he had quite the reputation. Hehehe. I'll have to make notes of all his stories. I'm sure I could use it as blackmail one day.

Hey there Ms. Princess.
How are things in Sweden? I imagine you've been pretty busy. I'm sad I didn't get to see you over the summer. But there's always next summer, right? I hope things are going well with you and the future Mr. Hehehe.
I arrived at school safe and sound. Well... as sound as one can be after an ALL day train ride. I fell asleep on Alec partway through the ride. I was sorted into Gryffindor. A LION, can you believe it? It's a bit hard to believe that out of all those things a hat thinks I'm BRAVE. Alec is a Hufflepuff. I was really hoping that we'd be sorted into the same house. Or that I'd be in the same house as Asher (Caroline's little brother). But no luck.
Anyway, things have been going well. I've made quite a few friends and have already had quite a few adventures. My most memorable would probably be the trip to the topiary garden. I rode a moving giraffe. I don't know why more people weren't. Perhaps not everyone is good at climbing things. Anyway, while there we took a picture. By we I mean me, a crumpet puppy, the Care of Magical Creatures Professor, Mr. Landscape Architect Groundskeeper Man, some students from my house... and some other random people that just jumped in. It was quite fun. Enjoy the picture.
Lessons have been going well. I'm still getting used to the fact that I can wave a stick and STUFF happens. It's crazy. I still fully expect myself to wake up one morning and realize it's all a dream and I'm still in Surrey.
But in the meantime I should probably do homework. Just in case this IS real.

You'll be pleased to know that little Jeffrey has been a hit! He lives in my pocket whenever I don't have lessons... or food around. I still have to lock him up when it's mealtime. He's a very odd hedgehog.
Speaking of odd creatures...! I was attacked! By a trumpet crumpet! I'm fine though. It was only a puppy. It was quite a crazy time though. I was in a topiary garden riding a moving giraffe bush when all of a sudden --
YANK!TUG!
And a split second later... there was a puppy on my head!
It was insane. But it turned out to make a brilliant picture, wouldn't you agree? It took a lot of convincing for the Mr. Landscape Architect Groundskeeper Man to find me a camera. He seemed much more concerned with my climbing skill then with capturing the moment. Luckily, he realized the brilliance of my idea and now you have an AMAZING picture. You're welcome.
I suppose you want to hear more about school, right? Well... I was sorted into Gryffindor. Rawr! Lessons are going well. We're watching movies in Muggle Studies. I couldn't believe it when I saw the announcement. I get credit for attending a film! I love Hogwarts.
Let's see... what else. Oh. First Herbology lesson, I planted a baby fire seed bushling. A bush on fire! It was the COOLEST thing. I can't wait for more Herbology lessons. It's like gardening things... that are on FIRE! I guess not all the plants are that brilliant, but still. It was a great first lesson.
Speaking of lessons, I suppose I should get started on my homework. I wouldn't want to be lazy already. It's just my first term.

Big Brother!
How is the quidditch season going? Well I hope. Hopefully you're not getting too exhausted and remembering to have a bit of fun every once in a while.
Things have been going really well for me. I was sorted into Gryffindor. I'm not sure if you've heard. I've met tons of your old friends. They all seem nice and miss you and say hello. Alec was sorted into Hufflepuff and Asher into Slytherin. It's not as much fun being all in different houses, but at least we're all at Hogwarts together. I can't really complain about that. Plus, you seemed to get along well with having friends all in different houses. I suppose I'll be able to do it too.
Here's a picture from one of the times I was exploring the grounds. There is a topiary garden and I saw the most brilliant giraffe topiary... so I climbed it. Then I was attacked by a crumpet puppy and then it climbed on top of my head. Then I convinced the Mr. Landscape Architect Groundskeeper Man to take a picture. Then when I mentioned you all the Gryffindors jumped in. It was a great time.
I think I'll like it here a lot. Everyone has been extremely nice to me. Ms. Prefect Kurumi gives me cookies nearly every time I see her. She just seems to ALWAYS have cookies. It's pretty crazy... but mostly it's terribly brilliant. Selina, the new Quidditch Captain, has been really nice to me too. She was one of the people that was really excited about taking a picture to send you. I've also met August. He made sure I was alright after the crumpet attacked me. I think it was because he was attacked by it right before I was. He's muggleborn too.
I suppose that I'll be spending most of the holidays with you. Mum wrote me the other day and said they were called in for a conference. Marilyn invited me over for a visit. I'd like to go if that's alright.

I suppose it's about time that I got around to writing a letter. You'll be pleased to know that it has taken me so long because I've been busy with school work... not goofing off. Well... I guess I've been playing around a bit. But it's mostly due to school work.
Things have been good. I'm enjoying my lessons and I'm finally figuring my way around the school. It's a bit crazy. This place is insanely large.
Don't worry. I'm fine. I've been eating well and I've been healthy. I've made a lot of friends and been having an absolute brilliant time. I haven't had nearly as hard a time adjusting as I thought I would. Really.
Did you hear that Alec was here too? We weren't put into the same house, which is a little sad, but at least I get to see him every day in lessons. I bet his parents would be pleased to know that he has made friends and that I'm here as well.
I love you! I hope things haven't been too lonely without me. Perhaps maybe now you'll realize that we need to get a pet. I'll write again soon.

Anya skipped into the owlery holding a handful of letters. It was already October and she hadn't sent ANY letters out! It was just awful and unacceptable. Stepping through the threshold into the owlery she stopped skipping.
She didn't want to fall in the... owl stuff. That would be gross.
Alright. Now where was her CiCi?
After calling down her owl, Anya began stuffing letters into envelopes.
"This one is for Marilyn." she said quickly scribbling the name on the envelope. She deposited that into CiCi's pouch. "And then Mina, Marie, Destiny, Carter, and Mum and Dad." she said depositing each letter in turn. CiCi was going to be fairly busy the next few days.

It was great to hear from you! You must think I'm horrible for not writing sooner. I've just been... adjusting. I've been getting lost on average 5 times a day... normally right before meal times. But I guess that's better than being late to my lessons, right?
Yes. I was sorted into Gryffindor -- the house of the red lions. Supposedly that means I'm brave or something. I don't really get it. But one can't really argue with a talking hat.
I've met tons of people. I've had loads of adventures already. I'm putting in a copy of a picture that I took earlier this term. There's a topiary garden here this term. It's brilliant. They actually move! Can you believe it? Anyway... I was riding it and a CRUMPET attacked me! You know, one of those puppies that don't like muggles. And then it decided to live on my head... and for some reason there were tons of people concerned with how I learned to climb trees. (Do they not teach you that growing up in the wizarding world?) Long story short, we all took a picture! There's the Magical Creatures Professor... and another muggleborn in my house... and the Ms. Prefect Lady... and the Quidditch Captain... and the Mr. Landscape Architect Groundskeeper Man.
The only downside so far is that Alec is in the yellow house. It's kind of sad that we were reunited just to be separated again. But I guess it's better than not being with him at all. And from what you said about Hufflepuff, I know why he was sorted there.
To answer your question - I HAVE met a Slytherin. He's muggleborn too! At least, I think he is, he likes comic books and movies. We were checking out the Whomping Willow together.
Oh! How exciting! You're in Japan now? That MUST be fun. I'm not sure what my plans for the holidays are yet. Mum and Dad are going to be in America for a conference and Carter is having his assistant friend lady person coming over for a bit. I don't want to intrude on his little reunion. Plus, I think Destiny is still over there. So, maybe it would be best if I did come to visit for a bit. I'll have to ask Carter since I'll probably be staying with him. I'll let you know when I hear back.

How have you been? Has the football season been keeping you busy? Has Evan been well? You remembered to give him a hug and kiss from me, right? Hehehe. It's a bit weird not being able to turn on the tele and catch the match. I got in quite the habit of that over the summer.
Things have been going well for me. I was sorted into Gryffindor. It was kind of hard at first. Remember my best friend Alec? Well he's at Hogwarts too! He's in Hufflepuff though. I... might have given everyone a horrible first impression of me. I... may have been crying a bit at the hat's decision. But I guess a hat knows what's it's doing, right?
I promised you pictures. So, enjoy this one. It's a picture of me... with a crumpet on my head... on top of a moving giraffe topiary. I've been absolutely in love with Hogwarts since that day. I admit I was a bit homesick before. Plus, it's a bit hard to get used to all these torches. The castle is a bit creepy at night. The fact that there are ghosts just adds to the creepiness. I'm REALLY glad I don't need to go to the dungeons at night.
I've made tons of friends so far. A lot of the older kids have been really nice to me too. Ms. Prefect Lady has been a big help with everything. I've heard tons of funny stories about my big brother. Turns out he had quite the reputation. Hehehe. I'll have to make notes of all his stories. I'm sure I could use it as blackmail one day.

But mostly the letter was a list of all of the quidditch players that he wanted autographs from in the league. He walked up the steps to the Owlery letter in hand. He called Avis down so he could send the letter off with him.
He carried his tiny Tawny barn owl to the window "This is for Dad, alright Avis"With a nod he let the owl fly out the window. He was about to turn around and walk back to his common room until he seen a very familiar face standing in the next window waving.
"Anya Phillips. What a surprise running into you here." Yeah Asher was a little weird at times but a sweet and adorable weird. He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked over to her.

Asher was surprised by the giant hug that he was receiving from the tiny girl. Phew! She knew how to give hugs didn't she? She was almost as bad as Caroline when it came to hugs.
He pulled his hands out of his pockets and hugged her back. Because that was what you did when a pretty girl someone hugged you, you hug them back.
"Yep. Something like that. Dad got a new job." The most awesome Ministry department ever, while besides Magical Law Enforcement of course. Both of which his dad worked in before.
He let go of her and watched out the window, where he could make out a speck of what he guessed was Avis in the October sky. "You been behaving, Sugarplum?" He asked with smirk, he was never going to let her forget that, or pass up a chance to call her Sugarplum.

"They better be jealous of it! How many other letters do you see flying around held together by the shoelace of a dear friend?" None was the answer he was looking for and was probably the actual one aswell.
An owl. He didn't have any, and his parents didn't think it was a necessary purchase after hearing that the school had plenty that he could use. "I don't have one, could we use your's?" Assuming she had one. He hoped she did and wasn't asking him, not out of politeness but necessity.

The Gryffindor watched the owl fly further away for just a moment before Taryn's voice brought his attention back to their place in the Owlery. "Yes, let's head back down somewhere else." He really didn't care where just as long as it wasn't coated in bird poo.

Schools great, but I haven't made many friends, that's fine though, I still miss Peter, please can you visit him and give him some flowers, I would be greatful if you did. I think the reason for not having many friends if because I still miss him, I never really got to say goodbye, and I really miss him. I keep thinking it's my fault, I could have stopped it, and he would be here, I was with him, and I was so scared, I didn't do anything, say hi to mum and dad, and everyone else. Ooh, I forgot to tell you, I'm in Gryffindor!

"Peter! Come here" she said and her owl flew down to her, "Take this to Luke, quickly," and with that he flew off. She turned around and began to sob, she missed Peter so much, and because of that she nameed her owl after him, now she wished she hadn't everything reminded her of him. Everything.
In her hurry, she bumped into some third year girls, by the looks of them, "S-sorry," she said, "I-I'm L-Leia P-Potter-Nightingale, I'm sorry about that," she stuttered, oh, she remembered how she met Peter, they bumped into eachother, and she spoke just like this, well, close enough, she was only 4 when they met.
As she waited for Luna to say something, the third year noticed a younger girl coming to the owlery, but, realizing that it wasn’t someone she had already met, Gwendolyn just ignored her. ‘Do you see…’, the Ravenclaw started saying and looked back at Luna, then at the younger girl, who seemed to be a first year. Was she… going to cry?‘Never mind’, Gwen added and gestured with her hand. She didn’t care anyway of other people’s problems. Psh.
‘What…?’, she started saying, feeling that someone bumped into them. Oh. That girl again, she thought. Raising her eyebrows, Gwen waited for a reaction. Woow- did she just say ‘sorry’?! Why some people CAN be polite, she thought and decided not to be rude. Or, just try not to be. Somewhat‘Gwen. Gwen Greene’, she said and extended her hand. No ‘nice to meet you’.
Although she didn’t usually care of other people’s feelings, Gwen couldn’t help asking this time: ‘Erm… are you all right?’ Hmph. Considering the look on her face, the Ravenclaw tried thinking of something nice to say, as in—something to cheer her up.
