She knew it was WAY to early to send a owl post but she missed home already very much so which was odd because she wanted more than anything to get out of the hell hole more than anything at the summer! She sighed and took out her little piece of parchment and smiled




It was the smallest letter she had ever sent was that a sign if it was a sign of WHAT???

She whistled and waited for Snowy to swoop down! She handed him a few owl treats and then handed him the letter ''TO: Jerrord and Anita Kieren,'' she placed it in his mouth properly this time ''Got it,'' the owl flew away...

As soon as she got back to Hogwarts, Gwen decided it was time to continue exploring the castle. Odd that it took me two years to see just half of this place, she thought while walking quickly towards the towers. Arriving somehow at the Owlery, the third year was surprised to see someone already there. ‘Hello?’, she said and tried to recognize who it was.

Climbing the stairs in order to get closer, the girl realized it was Luna. ‘Oh, hi…’, she said again. Then, she looked around at the owls. I don’t even have one- so why am I here?, she asked herself but couldn’t figure out any answer. ‘Maybe I should get one too’, Gwen announced, looking at a beautiful brown one, and tried to pet it. But the the owl made some noise. O_____o ‘WHAT DID I DO?’, Gwen said and made a step back. One reason for not getting an owl- it bites!

Then, there’s more: ‘I don’t even think it would get along with my cat’, she smirked. Anyways, in case she needed something, there was her mom’s owl, which send her regularly the Daily Prophet.

Looking back at Luna, she said: ‘Is that your owl?’ It was indeed a pretty one.

Oh Gwen! Goody somone from her year to talk to! She didn't have an owl why the heck was she here then? OUCH the bite! She handed her the treats that she gave Snowy It was only way the owl would cooperate with her! Ooooh her cat not nice, poor owl! ''Hi,'' she smiled, she forgot she didn't respond to her, which was odd for LuLu

''So what you sending?,'' as long as they were up there they might aswell have a conversation... especially if no one else was in sight..

''Yeah,'' she replied petting him softly he wasn't biting today she was showing Gwen up a bit not that she meant to since the last time she did that with an older student she ended up in the hospitial wing... Not nice

Giving the owl that just bit her a cold look, Gwen decided she will never get one. For sure. At least her cat was nice enough not to bite her. Not even when she used that spell on it. Nope. Jinx was way better than any owl could ever be.

Sending? ‘Err… nothing, actually’, the third began saying, and, after making a short pause she added: ‘I just realized that in the past two years I have explored the castle, but never been here’ See- I can tell the truth… ‘Have you seen the new places- on the grounds?’, Gwen asked Luna. ‘I wasn’t expecting stuff to change around’, she admitted.

‘So yours doesn’t bite?’ the girl raised her eyebrow while checking out Luna’s owl. Maybe not all of them were so annoying as this one, she thought and glimpsed back at the brownish owl. Enemies for life!, she gave the animal a cold look.

Eliza didn't want everyone to watch her send her mail. It was kind of awkward. There were a couple of Ravenclaws who were older than her but she didn't mind. She walked into the room and looked for her familys' Eagle Owl, Hera. Hera flew down to her and Eliza gave her the letter and walked to the window. She had decided she'd better send her parents a letter telling them she was a Slytherin, they would be happy. Eliza's family had been in Slytherin for generations and she was pretty sure she would NOT be allowed to break the tradition. Besides her parents were pretty strict and she wouldn't be suprised if there was a howler waiting for her if she didn't tell them soon. She had meant to go after the feast but it didn't matter. She flung the owl out of the window and it flew away. Eliza left the Owlery.

Lilly walked into the owlery, anxiously biting her lip. She hadn't heard from her dad in ages. In fact, not since they got...the news. Rose probably had, Violet too, but she hadn't asked her sisters. It was recently when she remembered that he or Lilly hadn't sent any letters or anything. Lilly had written a letter while in the common room:



She bit her lip agin, tying the letter to a school owl. She whispered where to bring it, before feeling her eyes fill with tears. She'd felt that a lot, recently.

Surely the hat was wrong, Jezz thought as she made her way up to the Owlery. She had a note written for her parents and reread it before getting her own.



That seemed good enough. "Come here Ella," She called to her snowy owl. It landed on her arm and she attached the letter. "Straight to mom and dad and make sure the see it and reply." The owl flew off and Jezz left to go explore.

Nate made his way up to the owlery to send an owl to his sister. He got out his note.

Dear Tanya
I am sending you this owl because so far everything at hogwarts is going well. I was put in hufflepuff, but I'm ok with that hats decision. My charms class starts tommorow at 11:00 am. I am hoping you are tolerating the house elf all by yourself. Well I got to go.

"Good now I just have to get my sisters owl which should be here any minute." A brown barn yard owl swoops in from the window. "Take this straight to Tanya." Nate says as he gives the owl the letter. The owl turned around with the note and started to head off. Nate left to go explore.

And he couldn't even wait until it was daytime to reply to this letter that managed to arrive as soon as the feast ended. If he was seen by someone then all he could say was that it was of the utmost importance that he replied to royalty as soon as the answer was on his mind. So, really, he didn't have a choice. A letter was made as soon as he finished reading the letter, for the answer was a rather obvious one.

Treyen still couldn't believe what he'd read, but it mattered very little to him at the moment. Being Best Man had to be better than being Head Boy, right? For he wouldn't have little firsties and second year teasing him, at least.

Merlin knew where Gilderoy was, for he wasn't at the Owlery when he arrived, so he had to use a school owl for this.



He was still slightly terrified about the wedding part of it all, honestly, because Simon was younger than him. GRANTED, he was younger AND ruler of a country...but he thought the marriage bit was the most terrifying of it all.

Once he saw the owl zooming away with his letter, he left too.

Zhenya walked up to the owlery to visit Rosie and to send a letter home. She had a large Rose and wanted to give it to Rosie - the weird owl who liked to eat Roses. She had an exceptionally large letter ready to send to her mother and father. Included in this package was a separate letter for her brother, who she hadn't seen in over a year. It was terrible, and she missed him so much.

Rosie flew down as soon as she saw Zhenya and the Rose. She fastened the letter to her foot and gave her the rose which she gobbled up. Then Rosie took off and Zhenya left.

Daisy walked up to the owlery and looked around, her quill, ink and parchment still out. She wanted to send a letter, but wasn't sure who to, but seeing as she barely sent anything to anyone last year, she needed to get back into the habit. Sure, there were plenty of people to write to. Her parents, or her brother. But that would be weird, she only wrote back when they wrote first. And Daisy never wrote to her brother, that was a well known fact. Sure, she could write to other family, her cousins for instance, who were six and four, and would've loved a letter, but that would've been boring.

That wasn't the only reason she had come to the owlery though. Neither was it that the owls were cute, but that the owlery was a nice place to clear your head and think, if you didn't mind the owl droppings, that was. Plus you could see all over the Hogwarts grounds, and Daisy felt back at home when she looked out over the forests and mountains.

Finally choosing an owl who could send her letter, Daisy took a quick look round at the other people in the owlery, there weren't many, and picked up the quill, starting to write.



Rolling up the parchment and tieing it to the owl she had chosen, Daisy took him to the window and let him fly away, staring out of the window long after he'd flown into the distance...

Jen walked into the owlery with her letter in her hand. She callers her barn owl down "Lilly!" When Lilly perched on a bar, Jen looked at her. "How do you know to get to France? Or any where? Oh well, I guess you know where to go. Here, take this to Travis in France okay?" The owl just looked at her. Jen gave Lilly her letter and watched as the owl took off

Lily walked up to the owlery with her letter and a few treats in hand for Phoenix, her owl. When she got there she saw a few other people so she went to a more empty section of the owlery. Here Lily called Phoenix down to her, handing her owl the treats when she flew down. Lily strapped the letter to her owl's leg and sent Phoenix off towards her parents in Ireland.


Lily chuckled to herself thinking of what her parents would say when they saw Phoenix flying into the kitchen. As long as she didn't come back without any feathers, Lily would be happy that Phoenix had made it there and back without trouble.

As soon as she walked in a loud hoot was heard.

Destiny.

Katie smiled letting go of Harvey's hand and raced away over to her owl, maybe the owl had a letter for her? She looked at the owl and saw a package and a letter? "Luke?" Katie said to herself, she opened the letter and saw it was from her mother, she sighed, though she was happy, she wish Luke would just owl her once, just to say he's alive. Katie looked at the parcel and took it off her owl and putting it in her bag, and getting a quill and parchment out, "Shall we get started then?" Katie asked Harvey as she smiled, and wrote Dear Ronnie,.

Harvey watched as Katie went to her owl and collected a parcel and put it into her bag.. before she got out a parchment and quill.. well he hoped he could hold himself together while writing this.. he saw her write Dear Ronnie on the parchment "Yes lets.." he said as he took the parchment and quill.. and started writing

Text Cut: Letter to Ronnie

Dear Ronnie,

How are you? I hope all is well.. How is the new school? enjoying it? Well nothing new from the last time you owled me.. Minnie is ok.. still having a bit trouble adjusting to big crowds... but she is getting there.. slowly..

What is the new school like? Nothing much going on here.. I still miss you Rons... and I know I have said this to you numerous but I cannot say enough how sorry I am for what I did.. I know you hate me saying it but I have to. You are a great girl and I think you should tell Jordan how you feel.. So yeah go ahead with that.. and let me know what happens..

Well I hope all is well and I hope you are enjoying your new school.. and as always Rons.. me and the gang miss you alot!

With that Harvey looked around for his owl and saw him.. "Frost come on.. lets send the first letter of this new school year!" he called upto him as he flew down and stuck out his leg for the letter to be tied "Now take this to Ronnie at beauxbatons ok?" he said to Frost as he finished tying the letter to his leg.. and with that Harvey's owl took flight and flew out the owlery. Harvey sighed "Well there goes the letter.." he said as he watched his owl..

Katie smiled as she watched him write the letter, "Thats perfect" Katie said. Katie then thought of something, she took the quill off Harvey and got a new piece of parchment out, and started to write;



Katie looked at the letter, Destiny perched herself on Katie's arm, and then Katie tied it around Destiny's leg, "To Luke" She smiled and then watched as her own owl flew off with a letter.

Jen noticed a girl that just sent off a letter. She tapped her on the shoulder.
"How do the owls know where to go? I could never figure that out. "

Morgan walked into the Owlery to visit her owl. Not that she really needed to send anything, but she did enjoy her Owl, Titus. He was a sweetie pie, and one of her first friends. Once she was in the room she noticed a number of people about. From different houses as well, she hadn't met really anyone that wasn't in Ravenclaw. She called Titus down and started stroking him happily humming a little tune. Then she pulled out a few treats for him and fed them to him.

Minerva went to the owlery. She hadn't been there yet and she was afraid midnight would be mad at her. She hadn't seen him since last term. She wish he could be hers instead of a school owl. As soon as she stepped up the last step a black owl came flying down. She smiled "Midnight" she pet the owl with great excitement. "Midnight I have two letters for you do you think you can handle that." The owl hooted as in saying give them to me. Minerva smiled and handed both letters to midnight. "This one goes to my mom and the other goes to Ronnie, you remember Ronnie right?" She smiled knowing the owl would be fine. "I missed you be safe on your trip."

Harvey smiled as she said that it was perfect "Thanks... I hope it wasnt a bit too much.. but then I didnt want it to be too short either.. " he said as he watched Katie write a short letter.. and tied it around her owl's leg and he then watched the owl fly out with her letter.. to Luke? well she just wanted to know where he was.. Harvey guessed.. as he continued watching her owl..

As Minerva went to leave she noticed Harvey was across the Owlery with a slytherin girl. She eyed him suspiciously, who was the girl and what was he doing in such an isolated place with her. She decided not to interrupt their little gathering with the owls so she turned and walked down the steps.

"Nah that was good" Katie smiled, she couldn't see Harvey being a bad boyfriend to someone, Katie looked around and saw Harvey's girlfriend, 'Pssst, look!" Katie giggled pointing to her, she was cool like that.

Harvey smiled when Katie said that it was good.. "Thanks Katie." he smiled.. when she giggled and pointed behind him and he turned around to see Minnie leaving and walking down the steps.. when did she get here? he wondered and why did she leave without talking to him.. well he didnt want to upset her.. so he decided that he would talk to her later "Oh she must have come to send an owl too.. she also wanted to write to Ronnie.. we all miss very much.." he said to Katie as he turned back to her... and noticed a black owl in the distant.. he knew that was Midnight.. the school owl she loved so much..

"Hey, what are friends for?" Katie smiled, putting out her hand in a fist, hopefully he knew knuckles, and if he didn't Katie would teach him and they would make up an amazing hand shake, because they were just cool like that.

Katie watched as she left, she seemed... cross? Or annoyed, one of them, "Whats her problem?" Katie asked, Minnie had acted strange just then, not the Minnie Katie knew, did she know her really though? No, she had just heard and seen her at the feast, but from Harvey she had seemed nice, but at the moment she was not.
