Jayden was still in mid-fight when she saw Nate fall over onto the ground. "Nate? Nate?! Nate! NATE!"She cried, rushing to his side and checking to see if he was still breathing."Help me! Someone please help me!" She cried, her eyes searching for a nearby prefect or teacher to help her get him back on his feet and back into consciousness.

Ravenclaw...? But Daddy had been a Gryffindor.

He was completely expecting that he'd be a Gryffindor... but mum was Ravenclaw, so he supposed it was that bad. After all that meant he was smart, right? Ravenclaw people were the intelligent ones, which made Trav smart!

Yay! Trav Is Smart!

Travis moved from the sorting hat to the table that he'd been indicated towards. So now he was with the "Cool" Kids, Right? That was what that whole house pride thing was? Thinking you're better than other house? Maybe. He'd just follow the other kid's leads, Cause Trav honestly had no idea what he was supposed to do with "House Pride"

Trav took a seat at an open end of the table. "Where's the food?" he asked quietly, more his stomach asking than his brain. He hoped it would get there soon, the Chocolate frogs didn't fill him up as he thought they would, they just made him slightly sick after the 8th or 9th.

Finally! Someone who shook hands like he did! Cornelius grinned from ear to ear as the student next to him accepted his handshake and introduced himself as Eino Uronen, a 5th year Ravenclaw. Cor's face lit up at the information, finding himself in the company of someone else in his year! Hoorah for good coincidences! "Cornelius Rune, nice to meet you," he replied with a brief nod, absentmindedly examining the empty goblet next to his plate. It was then that Eino asked if he was a new student that year and Cornelius looked up from his goblet with a grin.

"Ah, yes, you've caught me," he joked, as though he'd been concealing his true identity throughout the past minute of conversation. He glanced up at the ceiling dotted with stars, though continued talking to the student at his side, "This is my first year here, but I'm also a 5th year. And no offense taken. I've just been moving around schools for a few years now--"

Cornelius whipped his head around as a new voice joined the conversation, glancing at a girl who was now speaking to Eino and mentioning something about a badge. The new student's brows furrowed just slightly, not exactly understanding what this badge meant.

Taylor saw a first year sit down, "Hey welcome to Ravenclaw." She smiled, "I'm Taylor." She held out her hand to be polite.

"Oh, Vashti then." She replied, chuckling. She had already heard that comment from Vashti herself, last year when she was still a shy little bloke who was very formal with her elder fellow eagles. Yet, right now, she thinks it is still necessary that she use formality with Vashti, especially since she's Head Girl now.

Yeah, new adventures for sure. And new Professors and new students too! And for sure new lessons that would excite and even terrify them. "That means its your last year, how does it feel?" Why, Beatrice was feeling journalistic right now. Maybe she should try joining their official school publication, if there was one?

What was this? It was as if Nate couldn't hear her. "Nate! Nate!" Beezus exclaimed, rising from her seat.

Then he did something that had caused the plate to clatter. There was definitely something wrong with him. With that, Beezus completely rose from her seat and decided to move over to Nate's side of the table. And as she was getting near, there was her friend, falling backwards. Immediately, she ran to his side. But too late, he fell down on the cold floors of the Great Hall. "Hey! Nate.. Nate!" She muttered, a frightened expression on her face as she softly touched his cheek.

Oh, flattering. Eino knew her name! Hehe. "I didn't know you knew me." She said, chukling. Yes, that was one shiny cool badge. It would be such an honor if she'd get to wear one someday, well..hopefully.

Summer? Summer? "Oh. It was great. Erin actually went to my place." And that was one summer that she won't forget. "You know Erin right?" She asked. If not, then maybe she could introduce her best friend to him.

Vickers crossed the gap that separated the area of the Sorting Hat and the rest of the house tables. He made his way towards the students in blue robes and tried to find a vacant seat amongst those already chatting happily with their friends. He walked quietly by them, all of them unfamiliar faces. He glanced back quickly at the sorting hat, curious as to what house Luci ended up in. Or what older student that asked about Dolly, was he with Ravenclaw too?

He spotted a quiet seat next to a fellow staring up at the ceiling. Well at least theres someone who seems to appreciate such magic as he did. He slipped into the seat and nodded politely at the other student, then joined him with staring at the ceiling. "Impressive magic!" he whispered under his breath. Now if he could just learn how to do that so he could replicate it back in his room whenever he's home.



Someone sounded alarmed and Vickers pulled his eyes from the ceiling towards the sound of the voices. There was a student that looked to have collapsed. Vickers stood up from his seat and peered over the students concern etched clearly in his face. "I-Is everything alright?" Well ok not the best question to ask since the answer was pretty obvious. To which he added quickly "This school has a Hospital Wing doesnt it? We need to get the Healer."

Eino heard some screaming and shrieking coming from the opposite side of the Ravenclaw Table. He excused himself to Cornelius and Beatrice then quickly got up and made his way towards the young Ravenclaws. He had to do prefect things, but he had no idea what he was going to do. Still, he wasn't nervous. When he arrived at the place where both Jayden and Elliot were, Eino position himself between them and spoke. "Is everything alright?" He asked then glanced over at the staff table. If they caught them they could lose house points for disruptive behavior and Eino really didn't want Ravenclaw to be the first House to lose points.



Then, just as he was trying to sort out one situation, something else happened. A young Ravenclaw nearby was falling ill. Eino ran as the boy lost balance and fell on the ground, immediately taking off his robes and folding them into a pillow to place under the boy's head. He looked around the room for Vashti. Someone had to fetch the healer, but he didn't want to leave the boy by himself. "Are you okay?" He called. Maybe the boy would come up, drink some water, and feel better. Hopefully, he was just sick from the train ride.

Ravenclaw! Abby got into Ravenclaw. She's ALWAYS liked that House. And now she's ACTUALLY part of it! Abby started with a run to the House Table. She then came to a halt and walked to an empty seat and sat down.

She was dazed by all the food on the Table. How could they actually cook this much food in a day? Unless they didn't cook them all in a day. Abby took a chicken leg and some other food she could find. Maybe a piece of everything would do. Then she sipped from her goblet. Aaahhh, orange juice. Her favorite!

It seemed as thought Max and Ellie had some kind of brain connection for, just as Max had wondered where she was, he saw her enter through the doors of the Great Hall. He smiled and busied himself by fidgeting with the sleeve of his robe, not wanting to assume that she would see him and sit with him. He wouldn't blame her for stopping off at the Hufflepuff table and meddling with Treyen first. When he dared to look back up, she was heading right for him. The smile grew on his face.

"Ellie!" He gathered her in a big, sideways bear hug as if to make up for all the days he hadn't seen her over the summer break. "It's about time you showed up! I was beginning to worry that you dozed off on the train and were on your way back home." He released her and gave her another smile. "It's so nice to see you again. Good summer? Do anything fun?"

Mortimer was still awestruck by the ceiling but did indeed hear the other young man who sat down asking where the food was...

Without breaking his gaze he cleared his throat and spoke up in his accented English, "It is customary for the food to appear once the Headmaster has given his speech." At least that is what he had been told and what he had read. He was SURE he was right. He typically was.

"Extremely impressive. Charm work at its best, in my humble opinion," he said quietly. Now... he finally broke his eyes away from the beauty that was the Great Hall and smiled meekly at the boy next to him.

Well he looked like a bit of a nerd. That was cool with Mo, though. He was a nerd that just happened to have been blessed with ridiculous good looks. Wiping his hand on his robes he then extended it to the other boy. "Name's Mortimer Miarkos," he announced and gave pause for the boy to follow his lead.

And yes he heard the commotion from the others, but could not be bothered with dramatics at the feast. Heh.

Since apparently the food would not be arriving within the foreseeable future, Conrad got up and started looking around the Great Hall for the girls he'd met on the train. Before long, he spotted Melanie at the Ravenclaw table.

"Hi Melanie!" Conrad said, walking over and taking an empty seat. "Congratulations on making Ravenclaw!"

"Yes, we need to get him to the hospital wing, or something!" Jayden replied, nodding in agreement. "Can you round up some people to carry him?"

"Yes... Everything is fine Mr. Uronen." Jayden replied calmly looking up at the prefect with her big blue eyes innocently. She certainly hadn't meant to cause this much trouble, but Elliot was being rude.

Hmph.

Vashti smiled. "Thank you." Taylor was her name? "Nice to meet you as well, Taylor!" she replied. "Were you here at Hogwarts last term?" She was positive she hadn't seen the girl around, but Hogwarts was a big school - it was possible she had missed her, even if she was a Ravenclaw too.



The laughter halted when Max started complimenting her; Vashti started blushing instead. He was really too nice, but she was glad someone had confidence in her. She only hoped she didn't disappoint. "Thanks," she said rather quietly. Fortunately Ellie popped up almost immediately after to distract from her. Vashti sent a smile at her friend until...



...she heard some loud, seemingly angry shouting? Hm... She excused herself from Max and Ellie and slipped on over to where the argument seemed to be, arriving at the same time Eino did. So she didn't say anything yet since Eino had already asked what she was going to.



And then, just when that wasn't enough, one of the Ravenclaw boys fainted. Oh dear Merlin! "I'll go get the Healer," she said. Because obviously the boy needed medical attention. Students didn't usually faint at the Start of Term feast, at least not to her knowledge. So she turned and headed for the Staff Table.

In Nate's odd land of unconsciousness, which he had been to a few times already in the Room of Requirement, he could look all around him and see what always seemed like a dense, white fog. Usually it was quiet in this place, save a few faint murmurs from all around him. Something that constantly bothered Nate in this place was that he could never remember how he had gotten here. There weren't any entrances--or exits--that he could see. Only himself and voices. One voice seemed to jump out at him from the mist, though, and he ran towards it...

No matter what went on inside his head, Nate's body was still unconscious on the Great Hall floor. His mental 'running' caused a reaction in his actual body visible to the concerned people around him: he twitched. Not much else happened to his real body. Only a twitch. A sign of life.

"No! Everything's not alright!" Yeah, sorry for that yell but Beezus highly thought that that someone who just asked that wasn't clearly using his mind. They could see that someone had evidently fallen right?

Hospital wing, hospital wing. Yes, that was what they needed. No, they did not need the Hospital wing but the Healer! "Do you know who the Healer is?" She asked as she faced the one who said that. New face, maybe he doesn't know yet. And her, she didn't had any idea who. Last term's healer sort of vanished.


"Errrr---" She muttered. He sort of moved right? Well, sort of. Beezus wasn't familiar with what to do during these kind of times. She's nowhere fitted to be a healer. "He kinda moved. Uhm.. Nate, Nate.." Still, she tried her best.

Taylor smiled, "Oh no." She laughed, "I went to Beauxbaton, though my twin sister went here last year."

Melanie snapped to attention at the sound of her name, hoping it would be one of her friends from the train. It was a male voice, however, and Melanie turned around to be greeted by the sight of- "Conrad, hi." She wondered if her disappointment was as prevalent in her voice as it was in her head.

"Yea, I'm pretty happy with Ravenclaw," she answered, looking down the length of the table at all her fellow...Ravenclaw...ians?

"How about you, did you get into Slytherin like you thought?" she asked, turning her eyes back toward him.

"Nate!" Jayden called out again, tapping him on the shoulder and chest gently. "Nate! Wake up!" She called out to him, raising her voice slightly as tears threatened her eyes. She hated seeing people hurt, sick, or dying. It stressed her out wayyyyyyy too much.

"Nate.... please wake up!" She whispered in his ear, small tears falling and landing on his cheek. "Pleaaase." She croaked.

This boy liked to smile very much, which left Eino hoping he could give him some smiling lessons. He had the tendency to produce the most forced and fake looking smiles without even realizing it. Maybe this boy just meant all of the smiles he smiled. Well, in that case he was a very smiley fellow, which made Eino smile a nice, genuine, small, quick smile. "Likewise." He said and returned the nod.

"Oh!" Eino exclaimed and jumped back, startled. "I do apologize for catching you." He said looking at his hands, then under the table at his feet, and glanced behind the boy's back. How he had caught him, Eino didn't know. But he did, somehow, like the boy was a pogrebin, and Eino had tossed a net over him and caught him. "How awfully rude of me." Eino uttered to himself as he shook his head, still searching for any evidence of having caught the boy, but there was none.

He discarded the thought as the boy continued talking briefly about his past. Apparently he was a new transfer student, and also the same age as Eino. "In that case, welcome to Hogwarts." He said with a series of nods. "If there's anything you need help with, do let me know. I've been around for four years, so I should have answers." He paused for a moment, then returned his attention to the boy. "Where else have you been?" Eino himself wasn't a native to England so he was always curious to meet other people who had traveled and studied abroad.

"Well, you were one of our top students last term. That is quite an accomplishment." It also made several people hard to miss, plus she was a Ravenclaw, so of course he knew her. He accepted her second compliment with another smile, trying to mimic Cornelius' smile this time, but he didn't know how that worked out, and he wouldn't until he looked at himself in the mirror. "Erin... The name does sound familiar but I cannot put a face to it." Eino admitted but did not stop trying to think of what Erin might look like.

Yay for hugs! If there was any reason to like the start of school - or school at all - it was friends, yes? The Sixth year couldn't be more pleased to see her bestest. She almost didn't want to let go, or to let him go. There was still plenty of time before the food came, they could just hug it out 'til then, couldn't they?

But nah, Max broke it and... because of that, she realized that it truly wasn't a very comfortable position, this side-ways hug, so Ellie was fine with the separation. They could hug more in the common room or something.

Well, Mr. James. "Sorry, I was just...taking my time..." Dawdling. Because it was school and such. It was hard to remember the reasons you liked school at first. Or at least it was hard for Ellie.

"I had a great summer!" It felt WICKED good to say that, in case anyone hadn't noticed. "I went to Little Professor's," she was simply listing her activities in chronological order because it made sense that way, "I saw Finlay, I went to a couple Quidditch matches, went to France," again, but it wasn't for Little Professor so it was different, "went to more Quidditch matches, got my OWLs, went to Little Professor's..." And that was her summer. Her fantastic summer.

"How was yours? What did you do? I missed you!"

"Yeah, I did," Conrad replied. Melanie didn't really seem all that interested in talking to him, and truth be told he would much rather be stuffing himself with a delicious magical feast, but he pressed on anyway. "Slytherin is what I've always wanted. My dad and brother were both in Slytherin, so I'm really happy I got in. What made you want to be in Ravenclaw?"

Silvia breathed a sigh of relief. Now that she had been sorted, she was excited for classes to get underway. She made for the Ravenclaw table and soon spotted Melanie, who was talking with the boy they had met on the train. Sitting across from her she said, “It’s great that we’re in the same house. Now we just have to see where Alex gets placed.”

Cece had just stepped into the Great Hall and was heading towards the staff table when something caught her eye at the Ravenclaw table. There seemed to be a mob of students and some of them seemed to be a little on the loud side.

Detouring from her original destination she went over to see what all the commotion was about. After pushing her way through the group of students she seen what all the noise was about.

There was a student... laying on the floor.

Really?

The term had just started only a few minutes ago and already someone had fallen out. Maybe she should have stayed in Sweden.

"Everyone needs to back away and give this boy some breathing space," she said in a loud voice so she could be heard. Kneeling down beside the child she did a quick observation of him. He was still breathing so that was a good sign. "Can anyone tell me what happened to this boy?"

And it better NOT be that someone hexed him or there WOULD be points loss going on here.

Uh-oh. This situation was getting a bit out of place. Jayden was crying and Nate was still down. "Jayden, get a hold of yourself!" She couldn't help but scold the girl. Yes, she felt sorry for Nate but he was not going to die, so there was really no need for crying. "He isn't going to die, you know." Only emphasizing the obvious.

One of the top students? Oh, now that was veeerrryyy flattering though she won't deny the fact that she really did try hard last term and this term, hopefully she would still have the perseverance. "Oh. My turn to say thanks." She knew she was blushing, but nevertheless grateful.

"She's my best friend actually." She told him. Okay, so he didn't know her. She really need to introduce her best friend some other time. That wasn't really surprising at all, the higher students did usually hang out with students in their own batch, and considering they were still freshmen last term...

"Obviously he isn't going to die, but I'm still worried about him!" She snapped, glaring at Beatrice. The two girls had never gotten along and she was really having a bad day.

Luckily, the school healer showed up just in time.

Jayden raised her hand slowly. "Professor, he seems to have a fainting problem... I don't think anyone hexed him or anything.." She piped up, her blue eyes filled with worry. "I was having a heated discussion with one of my friends here...." She pointed at Elliot. "And then I turned and saw him crashing to the ground. That is all I know."
