As Abby was enjoying her food, she didn't realize how hungry she was since the Train Ride. But lucky her, this school is filled with food and everything. First impression of Hogwarts? Filled.

Then the first year heard someone call her. She turned back and noticed Erin, the girl she met at the Platform earlier during the day. "Oh, hi Erin," Abby said with a smile. "The train ride was okay, not that bumpy or anything. Just fine." Even if the two just met earlier, they seemed like they'd known each other for a longer time. "How are you?"

Hm.

This had to be the Ravenclaw table, especially since the people at the table had bits of blue on their clothes. Yessir, he was becoming quite the Sherlock Holmes.

Not really, of course.

Julien sighed as he took a seat the table, instantly taking on a slouched posture and pairing it with an appropriate facial expression to indicate boredom. Too bad his twin had been placed into Gryffindor. Them being in the same house would have made this moment all the better. Ah well.

Intent with making do with what he had, Julien straightened up a bit and leaned forward onto the table. He looked up and down the length of it, carefully observing the other students.

Cornelia? That name again? Okay, the memory of last time she boarded the Hogwarts Express on her way home swirled onto her mind. And that was not cool. She couldn't bare remember her sister's face smirking at her. The fact was she hadn't yet told Beezus everything about her journey back home. If she could still call that her home. Apparently, she was not a part of it anymore. "I thought we've agreed about that. We're not calling each other on our second names," and before she could even start the second one, Beezus opened her mouth and chanted the statement, 'We're not calling each other on our second names.'

Davinci may be a cat, and Erin hated cats, he had that certain aura that attracts her to like him. Probably because of his snobbish personality. "So, you two got a problem again?" she ask giggling.

Presley was late, and that was out of character, but some things just cannot wait. And changing shoes was one of them. She waited until noises of the feast filled the room, and breezed into the Great Hall. She couldn't spot her best friend, so she plopped down in her usual spot anyway, surprised to see the seat next to her filled with a small kid. He must have just been sorted. "Welcome to Ravenclaw," she smiled kindly, holding out her hand. "I'm Presley." Every new kid needed to know that the older students weren't scary, right? Not that Presley was really that much older, it being her thirteenth birthday today...and she probably looked younger than that, but still. It was a warm gesture.

The kid seemed concerned about something, and Presley glanced down the table to see the usual crowd of trouble-making second years, and Nate had fainted. She rolled her eyes. "Don't worry too much about it. He's probably fine." She didn't intend to sound critical, but really. Everything with those kids was a HUGE deal. Sometimes she thought they just needed to take a deep breath and calm down.

Alyssa walked past the Ravenclaw table looking for a familiar face. She couldn't see either Beatrice or Cassandra anywhere. So she continued to walk along, smiling at everyone she passed by. 'Need to let people know that Hufflepuffs are always nice and friendly,'she thought to herself as she walked along.

Eight! Max raised his eyebrows in approval and actually clapped proudly for her. "That's awesome, Ellie! Not even one Acceptable! Man, I hope I can pull off grades like that." Not because he wasn't smart - Max was very, very clever - but he did not test very well, especially under nerves and anxiety. His mum wouldn't help with that. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if he received an owl from her tomorrow, reminding him of his priorities this term: studying AND Quidditch. Both. Equally and majorly. She expected him to excel in both areas in his most stressful term yet. "Dad will kill me if I don't get at least eight. He wants my nine, but I'm not counting on Herbology to be all that great." His least favorite subject. He kind of hoped he would bomb it so he wouldn't have to continue taking it.

Max shrugged. Amazing? That was going a little far. He spent most of his time counting down to days to return to Hogwarts. "Yeah, I guess. Next summer, we're gonna have to make sure we do something, okay? Make sure we meet up at a game or something?" It'd be the last summer before she graduated, so he wanted to make sure they had some fun times together before she did... whatever she wanted to do. Which reminded him... "Err, Ellie, what exactly do you plan to do when you leave? Y'know, Hogwarts?" He'd never really thought about it before, but she was a sixth year now. She was old.

"So, have you met new friends? First years too?" asked Erin. The train ride was a little tiring for Erin. She hadn't really stayed in one compartment like the others and gotten the sleep everybody wanted. Mostly, she was at the food trolley talking to her new-found Slytherin friends. "I feel so happy to be back at Hogwarts again! So, how do you find the place?" Amazed? This is what you call home.

"Hi!" said Erin. She was sure, she had not witnessed his face from the corridors of Hogwarts before. He must be new, but he didn't look like a first year. He must be a transferee. Or maybe, he was just not really active last term. "You're new right?" She really couldn't comprehend if she had seen him or not. He did look quite familiar when you stare at him intently.

Taylor leaned back, giggling at Logan's blush and fell off her seat. She accidently hit a passing hufflepuff and got up as quickly as she could. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hit you." Taylor was turning red in embarassment.

New friends? "Uhmm, just one actually," Abby said, having a guilty smile. "Her name is Nickayla and she's still getting Sorted. I hope she's in Ravenclaw too." Abby made an assure nod. The firstie could tell Erin had been tired too and that's just pretty normal. Like three or more hours of riding a Train, seriously? "The place, I say, is very comfortable. They've got nice food actually." Abby giggled. Maybe Hogwarts wasn't as bad as her adoptive parents thought it was. Prove them wrong, Abster.

Julien had been focusing on a scorch mark on the table when someone started talking to him. He blinked a few times before he realized that it wasn't a nightmare, then remembered that people were actually social at this school.

It appeared to be a requirement, actually.

"Err...hello," he replied, starting to smile. "Yes, very much new. Are you...?" She was young, he could tell, but he didn't want to assume.

Pfft. "Okay. We're not calling each other on our second names again." Erin sure was not in a very good mood this days. "But you know, I was the only who was calling you with your second name." So, we're clearly not doing that to each other, she wanted to say. But since Erin seems to be a bit far right now, Beezus didn't dare add more.

"Stop giggling would you?" She said, poking her best friend's arm. "Come to think of it, we always do have problems. Though I'm used to it not." Just who wouldn't get use to the snobbish personality of your cat when you're his master?

"Thank you, Max!!" He got another overly-excited hug from Ellie. Smile still very much on her face, wide as ever, she fixed her friend with a pointed look. "Honestly, if I can pass them, you can." And better. She saw no E's in Max's results. He liked books. He read. He studied. He was everything she wasn't, that the OWLs tested on.

His dad wanted nine? Ellie blinked at Max. That was worse than her mum. Either his dad had more faith in him than her mum had in her, or he was much tougher on Max's education. Which blew Ellie's mind all the same because her mum loved to go on about how 'Ravenclaws are supposed to be smart' and 'you should be able to take all twelve OWLs' and other things that had depressed and scared Ellie immensely last Christmas break. "Which do you think you'll take then? If you do do all nine?" She asked these quite cautiously, not sure how driven Max was to please his father. But you could bet Merlin's left earlobe that Ellie will be supporting Max 173% regardless of his choices. She'll even help him study as long as it wasn't in the library.

"Completely. And more than just a game or something." Unless the 'or something' was much bigger. They really needed to do... a lot. They should do a lot. And though Ellie wasn't one to plan things in advance, days much less than a YEAR, she was willing to make sure she had plenty of time set aside next summer for her best friend.

Any other plans would have to fit around Max-time, rather than the other way around.

After Hogwarts plans had Ellie grinning again, if she'd ever stopped. Did she not tell him, though? Maybe she'd just thought that he'd find it as obvious as Treyen would/did/had. "Quidditch!!" Duh. Hehe.

"Ooomph."was all Alyssa could say, when a Ravenclaw hit her right in the tummy as she was walking by. The girl quickly apologized. "It's okay. You didn't do any damage. I just got winded. It was my fault for walking too close to the tables. I'm Alyssa by the way," Alyssa quickly introduced herself just to change the topic. She knew that the girl was embarrassed about what had just happened and Alyssa didn't want her to feel bad.

The train ride had seemed shorter than normal, or maybe it was just because Stella knew that there was going to be at least a short period of time at the feast where Matt would be at his table and she'd have to be at hers. Once things got moving, though, there was always the possibility he'd come over and join her, like he had at the end of last term. Or she could always venture over to the Slytherin table, but for now she'd left him in the entrance hall and headed inside on her own. She could survive a little while by herself, especially since there was going to be a lot more of that this time next year. She needed to talk to other people anyhow.

Walking over to the Ravenclaw table, she noticed that Marie wasn't there. Like she'd mentioned the year before, but then Stella hadn't been sure the other girl had been truly serious. It wasn't hard to convince people to let her stay at Hogwarts, or so she thought. Apparently that wasn't always true. Either way, she was determined to not just sit there and wait for Headmaster Tate to give his speech and start the actual feast. She could be independent after all, and she smiled at several of her fellow Claws as she made her way to an open seat. It seemed like there had already been some drama, but at least it looked like she'd been right in saying that the house elf situation had probably been straightened out. The silverware wasn't half as tarnished this year, and she eyed it for a moment as she sat down. Not getting buried by tapestries would be good, and so would having clean silverware. But for now it wasn't necessary, as the food hadn't arrived yet, so she took Oberon out of her pocket again after getting herself a glass of water, then let the tiny metal tiger curl up on her plate. At least she had someone to occupy her. There hadn't been any rules against charmed statuettes, after all, like the unspoken rule keeping her from bringing Lyra to the feast.

"I should of been more careful. I really am sorry." She looked down slightly, "I'm Taylor. Pleasure to meet you Alyssa. May i say that is a pretty name." Taylor smiled and looked up, "What year are you in? That is if you don't mind me asking." The girl looked slightly older than her but not too much......

"Nickayla?" She had not met her yet. And she was still called by her full name although she was Abby's friend now? Weird. With that long name, friend would try to do short variations of it. "I've not met her yet. I always knew you'd be in Ravenclaw!" Okay, no hugs. If Erin was still a firstie, that one she would do but now that she's on her second year at Hogwarts, she's quite matured.

Nice food. "You mean the food trolley? Yes, I love Honeydukes' sweets!" It seemed like, she'd got a new sweets partner too.



After much confusion, the question had finally been answered. He was truthfully new in Hogwarts. "No, I am on my second year," she nodded. Older students especially new ones shouldn't be offered with smiles. Just that, she hadn't knew him that well.

"So, you're a transferee? How old are you anyways?" She eyed his face in a way that it was feeling a bit awkward and suddenly said, "Sorry."



"Deal then," said Erin. 'And one more thing, can we like, stay up late tonight? I have something to tell you." She needed to blurt it out now, at least to her bestfriend. It's just too much to keep to herself alone. Beezus could help her figure the right things out. The right things to do.

"Now that we're clear about me hating cats, I will say, I love Davinci," she giggled more. She couldn't help but tease her bestfriend. It's just that, the cat wasn't that snobbish with Erin. "And what's your catch with Jayden?" asked Erin after witnessing the slightly misunderstanding between the two.

"No, don't talk like that," he warned her seriously. He was not going to let her talk down on herself. Clearly, he saw her comment as a much bigger deal than a normal person would. "You're really smart and good and your marks are great! I stand by my hope to be as good as you when I take mine.

"Not... Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, nor Divination. All of those are incredibly uninteresting. I'd rather eat dirt."

More than just a game...? Max didn't know what that meant. He watched Ellie's expression for a moment, his eyes scanning from one eye to the other, then over her fiery hair. Nah, there wasn't anything more behind those words than friendship. "Yeah, I agree. Maybe you could come stay with me for a few days, or vice versa. We can make our own adventures. Quidditch, exploring, visit some funny Muggle towns." He always liked that. London was marvelous. "Anything. My summers are usually pretty flexible, so it'll be up to you. But... yes, we have quite awhile to figure that kind of stuff out." They still had to survive this term.

Quidditch. Of course. "I figured that was one of your biggest options, at the very least," he nodded. "Of course you'll be great at that. I wouldn't be surprised if you were a starting player for whatever team is lucky enough to have you."

Morgan looked around to the girl that just had introduced herself a little shocked. "hello Melanie, i'm Morgan. Morgan Rose." she said "yes, i'm a first year." she added then blushed...a lot. she had always been shy, but she knew it was a good time to get started on the outgoingness required in life. "did you enjoy the train ride?" she added in attempt to be bold

"Morgan" she said to the girl and shook her hand. "yes, i am, you?" she added to the girl's question

Jordan made his way to the Ravenclaw table, he was bored as usual... He wanted to be out there using magic! But no they had to do this Start of Term feast before they could. He liked being around the Ravenclaws, you could always rely on them to have some sort of drama going on.

"Hey guys!" he grinned as he approached Cael, Nate and Jayden. "What you doing?" he asked them, raising an eyebrow it looked like something had happened recently, drama already! He liked it!

Vickers nodded his head. "Havent seen anything like it that looks so convincingly real-- and consistent." he has seen attempts at this kind of charm before, but he could always tell that it wasnt real, or can see flaws in the charm where the illusion breaks. He turned to the boy blinking. Whoah, he's extending his hand. This means he's gonna have a new friend right? Please? Vickers extended his hand towards the other boy in turn "Nice to meet you Mortimer Miarkos. I'm Vincenzo Vanderbilt." he said as he shook the boy's hand. "Uhm, you can just call me Vickers, its simpler really." Simpler names means its easier to say and remember right? Gosh he hopes so. It wasnt the first time that potential friends soon forgot about him because they couldnt remember his name.



He tried to inch his way closer to the collapsed student, but without knowing the hows and whys of the incident Vickers wasnt sure it was a great idea to move him on their own. And a young girl seemed to have been upset with his other question "Sorry..." he mumbled. He didnt realize Ravenclaws were be so feisty.

Then someone that recognizably looks like the Healer came around and stepped back when she tolld them. He watched the woman pull out a vial and roused the student, who had begun to move and sit up. Vickers made the motion to return to his seat when he glanced at the young boy apparently called Nate. The way he spoke.... was he an American? "You feeling better now? Do you need anything else?"

Julien nodded to the question of being a transfer and answered the age question with a "15." And...what was this now? An apology?

"Sorry?" Julien looked puzzled. "What is there to be sorry about? You haven't done anything wrong...that I know of," he grinned. Was she one of these sneaky pranksters? If she was, she would be wise to rethink it.

"Pleasure meeting you, Morgan." Taylor smiled sweetly, "No, I'm a second year but this is my first year at Hogwarts. I transferred from Beauxbatons. Welcome to the house of intelligence." She laughed slightly, "How do you like it so far?"

"erm...well, all i've seen is this hall, so it's quite good" Morgan rather amused by her statment about the house of intelligence. it was indeed true; however, she had never felt a large amout of intelligence in her life. maybe now was the time. time to be bold. "and you? are you enjoying yourself?" Morgan added

Mortimer nodded his head as he glanced back to the ceiling and smiled. "It may possibly have an altered meteorological charm as well. Seeing as it is an exact replica of the sky outside and all. It would be interesting to find out more about it," he said in a slightly far off voice.

Right. Back to reality. Heh.

Shaking the boys hand he then released it and chuckled. "My name is Mortimer... I think I could remember Vincenzo. But I will call you Vickers if you so choose," he said with a decided nod. "But please call me Mo." He wasn't keen on the name Mortimer, but it was his name he introduced himself as such.

"You are not from here are you? Are you new, too?" Mo was getting a little excited about the possibility of having a pal to wander around with who was also new to the place.

Taylor smiled at her statement and nodded.. In response to her question, "Eh, its no Beauxbaton...... but I must say it is a little charming here, and since all of my family are here, its ok." She smiled, and laughed, "I am a little excited for potions and astronomy." She tilted her head, "What class are you looking forward too?"
