The Common Room has been redecorated to celebrate the amazing victory of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team over the very talented players of Ravenclaw!
There's various tables of food and beverages set up in the corner, comfortable couches and a large banner that spreads across the whole of the ceiling, "Congratulations Hufflepuff Quidditch Team"
There's some spirited music playing in the room, so feel free to nosh, dance and mingle with each other!
Party it up, Rabid Badgers! For tomorrow, classes and homework studies resume ;D

Sammy looked classy when she entered the common room. And by classy I mean she was still wearing what she had worn to the game which was her Hufflepuff shirt, Hufflepuff scarf, Hufflepuff tie (that was tied around her head like a bandanna in an attempt to calm the curls a little), yellow shoes and yellow and black stripes painted on her face. Classy was Sammy's middle name. Not really, her middle name's Joan.
Another thing that added to her classiness was how she entered the common room. In typical Sammy style she was super loud about it.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WE WON! CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!"
oh yeah. classy. In her defence this was the second time she had seen Hufflepuff win and the first time she was sick and had no idea what was going on. She also ended up breaking her arm so she had reason to be super excited. She was a little worried she was going to leave the school and only have seen Hufflepuff win the Quidditch Cup once. That would've been horrifying.
So moving on, she had congratulated them so now it was time for food. She quickly grabbed a small handful of lollies and moved on. She wasn't going to hog the food table ... just make frequent visits to it. The next the she realised was that almost everyone here was younger than her. Great. Admittedly there was only one year left that could be older than her but it made her feel super old. Soon enough she spotted someone who looked around her age, but someone who also looked kinda bored. Sammy would fix that.
So she bounded over happily, hair bouncing all over the place, and said "Why are you sitting all by yourself?" it seemed like a fair question to her. It was a PAR-TAY and this girl was sitting by herself, it didn't make sense. At all. It was completely ridiculous. What was more ridiculous was the fact that the girl didn't have any food with her either so Sammy made another very quick decision and held out the handful of lollies to the girl "Want one?" people needed food. Nice food in particular.
Evelyn started to hum to the music again when a girl who seemed to be about her age and extremely hyper appeared in front of her, all of a sudden.
Um. "Well, I'm sitting here because I don't like crowds.." She nodded towards the large group of people nearby. "..and, almost everyone here is really young." Frankly, she didn't know how to have a conversation with the first and second years. The only first year she could talk to was Tristan..but he was a Slytherin.
Again, all of a sudden, the girl held a handful of sweets in front of her. "Erm..thanks." She gave a small smile and picked one. "I'm Eve, by the way."
She didn't like crowds? Weird. Well sort of. Crowds are sort of scary Sammy thought to herself someone could step on your toes. but then the girl said that almost everyone here was really young. That was true. "I swear they are trying to take over" she said a little more quietly than anything else she had said so normal-people level. But the youngens were trying to take over. She hardly saw anyone over the age of 13 nowadays, which was weird. Weirder than this girl sitting by herself when there was a PAR-TAY going on.
She smiled when the girl took a lolly, the way this girl was acting you'd swear Sammy had "I'm an evil villian that's here to kill you" written on her forehead instead of "HUFFIE PRIDE" "You're welcome" she said happily before popping one of the lollies in her mouth. Lollies should be gods. Eve? "That's a nice name, I'm Sammy"

The sound of someone else talking to him made him turn his head to face the new girl. But she wasn't exactly new. He knew who she was! Ella! "Hey!" Alec said, waving back at the girl.
And... then she started praising him. He really should have been prepared for this. But now... he didn't even know what to say! So he grinned sheepishly at his fellow first year. "Thanks Ella!" he said, "Erm... really? I'm a hero? But... I don't have any superpowers!" Unless they were hidden and he didn't know about them.
"You can be even better, you know," he said, nodding at her. It was true. He didn't know he could even catch a Snitch until he came to Hogwarts and tried out. Wait, did Ella say she was going to try out? "So you're trying out for the team next term?" Grin, grin, GRIN![/COLOR]
She... was blushing? That was new. He was used to smiling and hugging but blushing was something completely new to him. Really. He was not used to this at all soo... he smiled in return.
And he had gotten her name right! "Nice to meet you then," Alec said, "Erm, I'm Alec, Alec Summers." Yay for meeting someone new! "You were? Erm, thanks! We have a great team," he said, nodding, "How come you didn't play today?" Unless he was mistaking her for someone else...

Alyssa stopped in the midst of her conversation with Nate when she saw her favorite 'little brother'. She ran over to him and grabbed him in another bear hug. "Alec!! You're finally here!! I know that I've said this earlier on the pitch but I'll say it again. You were totally awesome. I know we're a team but if you hadn't caught those snitches, you wouldn't have won. So you are definitely my hero."Alyssa smiled down at her friend.

Ella looked up when she heard Alyssa's announcement. Oh! Keefer was here. The first year still considered the boy a celebrity in her eyes. She was eager to wish him congratulations as well but decided to wait. If he was going to give a speech, she wanted to hear it. She decided to clap as Alyssa called for a speech, maybe that would help motivate the captain to take center stage?

Minerva looked down at the question. She knew she would be answering this question a million times the next few days. It would just be asked in different ways depending on how the person knew her. "Well I actually didn't play in a single game this term. The first game I got sick and couldn't make it and then I had a family.. umm. emergency and had to leave school for awhile. I actually just got back about an hour before the match started." She looked to the ground "So I let down the team pretty bad" shrugging "but I guess you all didn't need me anyway so it all worked out."

Minerva looked up when she heard the Captains voice. She didn't know whether to talk with him or not. He had to be mad that he put her on the team and then she just disappeared. She clapped with everyone else and gave her best smile. "Great game Captain"

Sammy nodded. It was practically impossible to talk to them. Especially the little ones, mainly because they didn't talk around Sammy 3 guesses why but it's not like she was "They all act as if they're in a melodrama as well" she said remembering that one time she had to take a third year to a hospital and she swear she was on an episode of Bold and the Beautiful. Then Amy had said that she had been like that in first year, which was true but she had denied it. It hadn't been as bad as her sister's, personally Sammy thought her sister's first year was HILARIOUS. But that was mainly because she actually knew Adam sort of well now
It is nice to meet me Sammy thought before continuing to say "Nice to meet you too" with a smile. At least she wasn't running away like a lot of the younger students did

A small voice momentarily distracted him from his plight. "Thanks, Min. I'm glad you got to see it!" Cuz she had been home, right? "Hey, look. I want you to try out again next term now that stuff has settled down a bit. I think you could be a real asset to the team." And he wasn't just saying that.
Nate then saw the quidditch captain. Nate walked over to him and said "Great job Keefer and team!" He then heard Alyssa say to Keefer to give a speech. Nate saw how red his cheeks got. Let's see if they can get any redder. "yeh captain give us a speech about what an awesome year you guys had. Speech! Speech! Speech!" Come one everybody start chanting!

I'm just glad everyone played so well this term. I am very disappointed I missed it." She looked around at the group "Oh Captain I think they want a speech so I better let you go make one." Minerva sat back in the chair and listened to the group of students celebrating.

After ensuring the Deputy Headmaster would be alright, Josephina was slightly worn but knew better than to let her students down and begrudgingly made her way toward the common room, where she tapped the familiar tune onto the barrels. She was slightly worn, but it was their first quidditch win as their head of house, and she felt a sense of duty in being there to celebrate with them.
Entering the common room to a sea of yellow and black, she noticed the students were rather mellowed, despite some cheering ... to which she figured out that they wanted Keefer to make a speech. BUT one look at her captain and she was sure that was the last thing Keefer wanted to do right now. He was only 16, after all and it wasn't like he'd been leading them for long.
"Hello," Fina greeted, smiling brightly and hopefully taking the pressure off of Keefer. "I just wanted to come in here and let you all know personally how very proud I am of ALL of you. The team effort and support that everyone exhibited today at the Quidditch Pitch makes me truly grateful to be a Hufflepuff, but also to be your Head of House. So thank you all for exhibiting true traits, that no doubt Helga Hufflepuff, herself would be proud of." Yup that was it.

Shaking it off she decided to be more of the party instead of the bump on the log in the chair. "Keefer would you like anything to drink? I'm going to go get something from the table."
Ella looked behind her when she heard Sophie enter the common room. She smiled at her friend, giggling at her excitement. "Hey Soph! This is great, isn't it!?"
"It IS great!!" Sophie couldn't be happier! "WAY TO GO, HUFFLEPUFF!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" She kept on jumping and waving her arms around.

And Hadley walked in. HE WAS SAVED. She had never looked so beautiful to him as she did in that moment. Hadley never shows up in the Common Room, maybe she'll take the attention off of me! Plus, after one speech, would anyone really want to hear a second so soon? He hoped not. Or I could just add my two cents on to the end and call it good so no one can complain! Yes, a plan of action!
He let her finish. "Hear, hear!" he said appreciatively. "As our illustrious Head said, I'm so proud of every single person in this room. It makes me proud to be a part of this House. Three cheers for Hufflepuff!"

Glenn tapped the tune on the barrel and entered the common room. She was still supporting her house colours.
The blonde ran over to Sophie and grasped her hands, "We did it! We won!" She yelled dancing around. She let go of Sophie's hands and faced the Quidditch team, "You guys were AMAZING!"
It's not like he was late because he wanted to be late, okay? But he'd wanted to make sure his girlfriend was alright. Vindictus could walk with a broom for a cane as much as he liked, his concern lay on the Ravenclaw Seeker.
So, he wasn't late at all, and just in time to hear Hadley...say something.

Awwww. "Thanks for being such an awesome Head of House, actually," and for believing in her Hufflepuffs all the way. Like she had, back at the Sanctuary, with Eve and him. Of course, the FIRST Head of House he met was Mr. Masterson...and everyone could be better than him. But Hadley came after Moretti, and that was one tough Head of House to beat.
She did it, though, because he's grown quite fond of the little Arithmancy Professor.

"See?" he suddenly said, tagging along with Keefer, "The t-shirt had no effect on the outcome." If that was what had worried Keefer before, because he only knew he'd hated the fact that Treyen wore it.
Especially to this particular match.
Treyen should've worn it to practices just to tick him off.
And this wasn't even a dream or a fantasy. They had actually done it! They won this thing! Alec couldn't contain his excitement as he walked along the familiar corridor towards the common room. He looked at the barrels and grinned. He felt like he had eaten a whole box of gummy bears.
Still in his Quidditch robes, the young Seeker tapped the correct barrel in the correct sequence and entered the room...
... only to find that there was a PARTY going on!
Alec's grin spread wider across his face as he took a look around. Everyone seemed so happy! Lyss was singing at the top of her voice, Ella and some guy who shared a dorm with him and Messer seemed quite happy and... there was another girl there. Wasn't she meant to be on the team? And Daisy was here! And that older girl, Evelyn! A LOT of people here already!
The twelve year old shrugged as he looked around the room again. There was a LOT of food here! And there was a huge banner up on the ceiling congratulating the team. Who managed to reach all the way up to the ceiling? And, more importantly, HOW did they manage that?
... Giants. Obviously. Or Peter Pan came here.
Not knowing what to do, Alec made his way to an armchair and flopped down on it. Ah... bliss.
Messer couldn't stop grinning. They WON. That shinny Quidditch cup is belong to them. The Badgers! Take that Snakes!
The first person he need to find when he arrived at the common room is his roommate. The owner of Superman pillows. And there he was, sitting on one of the armchair surrounding with girls.
"Ckckckck. Look at you already surrounded by girls. I wonder what will Anya says if she knows." he grinned widely.

Then Messer's eyes went from Alec to their Captain when he heard his voice. "Congratulation Captain." Then he heard Lyss and some other Hufflepuff asking their Captain to give a speech. He never heard Keefer gave a speech before so this worth to see.

Sammy nodded. It was practically impossible to talk to them. Especially the little ones, mainly because they didn't talk around Sammy 3 guesses why but it's not like she was "They all act as if they're in a melodrama as well" she said remembering that one time she had to take a third year to a hospital and she swear she was on an episode of Bold and the Beautiful. Then Amy had said that she had been like that in first year, which was true but she had denied it. It hadn't been as bad as her sister's, personally Sammy thought her sister's first year was HILARIOUS. But that was mainly because she actually knew Adam sort of well now
It is nice to meet me Sammy thought before continuing to say "Nice to meet you too" with a smile. At least she wasn't running away like a lot of the younger students did
"Melodrama?" Evelyn hadn't met any kid who was melodramatic. Anyway, the kids here were actually super adorable..like Tristan and Ella, the girl she'd met at the stands. In fact, she thought she spotted the Puff somewhere in the common but she wasn't sure. Erm..anyway, back to Sammy. "How come I've never seen you around before?" Evelyn asked, curiously. She didn't remember seeing her in classes..maybe she didn't take the same classes Evelyn did. Yeah. That was probably it.
"So, do you like the party?" Evelyn looked around the common room. Yep. It was packed. She was better off sitting where she was. She settled more comfortably on her couch and chewed on the sweet.

After ensuring the Deputy Headmaster would be alright, Josephina was slightly worn but knew better than to let her students down and begrudgingly made her way toward the common room, where she tapped the familiar tune onto the barrels. She was slightly worn, but it was their first quidditch win as their head of house, and she felt a sense of duty in being there to celebrate with them.
Entering the common room to a sea of yellow and black, she noticed the students were rather mellowed, despite some cheering ... to which she figured out that they wanted Keefer to make a speech. BUT one look at her captain and she was sure that was the last thing Keefer wanted to do right now. He was only 16, after all and it wasn't like he'd been leading them for long.
"Hello," Fina greeted, smiling brightly and hopefully taking the pressure off of Keefer. "I just wanted to come in here and let you all know personally how very proud I am of ALL of you. The team effort and support that everyone exhibited today at the Quidditch Pitch makes me truly grateful to be a Hufflepuff, but also to be your Head of House. So thank you all for exhibiting true traits, that no doubt Helga Hufflepuff, herself would be proud of." Yup that was it.
Evelyn clapped hard when Hadley finished her speech. Honestly, she was the only professor she liked at Hogwarts. Not weird like Willy nor creepy like Scabior. She was about to cheer when she heard Trey say that she was an awesome HOH. "Exactly what Trey said, Professor. Thanks for being there for us." Evelyn yelled, before resumed clapping, a huge smile on her face.

Ella turned slightly red when Keefer began talking to her. She stopped clapping and shrugged. "Sorry, but I'm sure you'd do fine..." Cause he was the captain! He must have given speeches all the time, no? "Well uh Congrats! You guys did awesome!" The first year said, smiling. She didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable and tried to think of something distracting to do. Maybe she could sing? She was horrible so that would take the attention off him! But then there was Hadley...HADLEY! She would save the day for sure.

Ella smiled widely as Professor Hadley started to speak. She was proud of them, all of them, even the non-quidditch players! That made Ella feel quite good. The first year was truly happy to be a Hufflepuff. She clapped when the head of house finished, waving shyly at the woman.
Pretending Oakey was here all along and is really hyper.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Yeah! oakey exclaimed loudly in a short agreement to what their Head of House said.
He turned his attention back to the drinks and poured his 12th cup of what was probably a really sugary drink. As he drank it he could feel this crazy sensation go down his throat and his entire body was shaking with excitement.
He poured one last cup of the awsome drink downed it then decided it was time to congradualte each of the players personally.
Renesmee still couldn't believe it. They were the champions! They had earned that cup! It was just so exciting!
Once the match and all the drama with it had finished, Nessie decided to delay her visit to the hospital wing. Her arm wasn't in that much pain, well at least not whilst she kept her mind off it and she felt there were others that were in more need of the healer than she was at the moment. So instead of heading up to the third floor she headed back to the common room where apparently there was supposed to be some sort of celebration going on.
Reaching the barrels that blocked the entrance she tapped the barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row, in the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff'. The barrel then opened up and the little badger quickly entered through the passage.
Blinking a few times, she looked around the common room that she had entered. It looked completey different from what it usually looked like. There was all sorts of decorations including a big bright banner that congratulated the quidditch team. It looked all so pretty and yellow and it made Nessie feel even more happier than before. There was some music playing too. It made her feel like dancing, but she knew better then to do that on her own. People would just stare and she didn't want that. Which was why she plonked herself on one of the sofas and just grinned at almost every person she saw.
And for some odd reason she found it..highly entertaining.

'NESSIE!' Daisy grinned, leaping over to her fellow Quidditch team member and refraining from hugging her; her arm had been hurt in the game, and even if she was well enough to come to the party, she probably didn't want to be jumped on like Daisy felt like doing. 'We did it, we actually won' she beamed, 'and you did awesomely!'
It could be scary being on the team, thought Daisy, a lot of pressure and a lot of work she had to put in, but it was worth it. It would have been worth it even if they didn't win. But the winning had made everything a thousand times better. First year on the team, and Hufflepuff had a victory. It was definitely a good start. 'Want some butterbeer?' She asked, putting down her own bottle and picking up another to hand to Nessie if she wanted it.

Sammy nodded. The younger kids were super melodramatic and they didn't even realise it. "When I do my homework in the common room I have to remind myself that I'm not on Bold and the Beautiful" she said. Personally, she would hate to be on Bold and the Beautiful, all they do is cry and kiss and drink wine. What was fun about that? NOTHING. Well, admittedly the youngens didn't drink wine but they did cry a lot. Like, a LOT. She was sure some of them weren't as melodramatic as the others but the melodramatic ones put her off the idea of getting to know the non-melodramatic ones. Like Nessie wasn't too melodramatic, unless she was denying her love for Tom. "I ... I have no idea. " she said, taking a moment to think about it "I guess there's a lot of people at this school" she said with a shrug.
Sammy nodded again and swallowed her sweet before saying "I like anything where there's free food" she said simply. And it was true, if there was food Sammy was gonna be there. Particularly if she doesn't have to pay for the food. "What about you?"

Minerva heard Hadley come into the room and she sat up as she did she took Keefer's hand to get his attention. Then she whispered "Saved by the head of house." she grinned at him and let go of his hand. She clapped when Hadley was done with her speech. It made her feel even more guilty for leaving in the middle of term, but she had to she had to do what she had to do. Shaking it off she decided to be more of the party instead of the bump on the log in the chair. "Keefer would you like anything to drink? I'm going to go get something from the table."
Justin walked into the party and saw a very familiar figure across the room and his heart lept and sunk as he knew what had happened. He felt awful for not sending her an owl, but his mother gave strict instructions that he not . Too much was going on and she would need her space to come to terms with the loss of her parents and little brother.
Slowly he walked up from behind her and put his arms around her waist and pulled her into him as he gave her cheek a little kiss.
" When did you arrive back? I've missed you terribly."

"Oh, er... Sure. I'll come with you, shall I?" he said, taking any excuse to get out of the fray that would kill him force him to give another speech.
Minerva turned red a bit when she saw Keefers reaction to her taking his hand. "Umm sorry about that" she said quickly, "Yeah sure let's get you out of the spot light" she giggled and then she looked at Treyen who was walking with them all of the sudden. "Hey Treyen great game today. What away to end your school days." She listened to Treyen and wondered what he was talking about. She picked up a drink and looked at the food, but wasn't feeling up to eating. She turned back to the boys "So any big plans for the summer?"

Evelyn laughed. Bold and the Beautiful? Jeez. That show was like the most boring show on the planet. Unfortunately, her cousin made her watch a couple of episodes and yeah, she regretted it to this day. "Are you serious? Are they THAT melodramatic?" Frankly, she found that a little hard to believe but..who knows? It might be true. Especially when Sammy had to remind herself that she was NOT on the show. That made her giggle a little more. Oh. Yeah, Evelyn had absolutely no idea either. It was a little weird, in fact. "What year are you in?" She asked, curiously.
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh again. Sammy was funny..and they were getting along so she was happy. "Well..I'm not a fan of parties but..I decided to come to this one. You know, house pride and all."
