Alyssa walked in to the Common Room with a bounce in her walk and a big smile on her face. THEY HAD WON. HUFFLEPUFF HAD WON THE QUIDDITCH CUP!!. Alyssa was deliriously happy. This was only her second year in Hogwars and playing for the team and she was soooooo happy that she was part of the team that helped win the Cup and bring it back to their House. She didn't care whether anyone thought that she was crazy, but she started singing in a loud voice, "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIENDS, AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TIL THE END. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! NO TIME FOR LOSERS, CAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF HOGYWARTS!!! CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!!"Alyssa sang switching from one song to another.

Ella entered the common room and took in the decorations with wide eyes. Everything looked so great! Perfect for a celebration. Though she was still worried about Minerva, a smile appeared on her face at the sight of Alyssa singing loudly at the top of her lungs. She giggled at the sight, happy to see how excited everyone was. Maybe Ella would have even joined in if her voice wasn't so strained from all the cheering. Instead, the first year managed the loudest greeting she could to the quidditch players. "Congratulations guys, you all played so great and well, this seriously has been the best year ever!" Seriously. Ella was able to watch her house win the quidditch cup her first year at the school! How cool was that?

Nate started to cheer as soon as the champions of this years house cup started to come in. "Good job hufflepuff!" he was so happy that they had won! He went up to Alyssa, and said "Congratulations Alyssa. You did a great job!" Oh yeh. Nate had a really big smile on his face. He was just so very very happy that they won. Now hufflepuff just has to keep up the good work every year. Once again Nate would try out for the team next year. He would practice his flying skills over the summer. That's what threw him off. Also that fact that he wasn't the greatest at keeping possession of the quaffle. He also wasn't the greatest at catching fast objects. Or hitting moving objects.

Minerva quietly walked into the room. She looked around at all the decorations. Everything looked great. How she missed this room. She found her chair and snuggled in waiting for others to gather. She smiled at all the excitement.

Alyssa stopped in the middle of her singing to smile over at Nate. "Hey Nate, thanks a lot. Remember it was a team effort and you out there cheering us on helped motivate us. I hope that you'll try out for the team next term. You're a great player. Hey Nate, remember Minnie?"Alyssa dragged Nate over to say hi to her.



"Minnie remember Nate? He's been an awesome supporter." Alyssa smiled at both her friends.

Minerva smiled at Nate "Yes I remember Nate. That's great to know. I love how Hufflepuff has come together this term." Minerva looked around seeing who all was here. She didn't realize how much she had missed them. It felt so long since she had been with her house.

"Yep I remeber Minnie. Hopefully I'll make the team next year, and thanks. Your really good to. I just have to keep on practicing that's all. Since I live so close to a quidditch pitch I'm going to practice there over the summer break. I'm really hoping I'll be able to help away from the sidelines. I'm just glad we won the house cup."

Minerva smiled at Nate "Well that's good. You will most likely make the team next term easy. There will be some spots to fill." hers would most likely be one of them, because she wasn't sure she would try out again. She loved it, but after this term, she didn't know if she was up for it.

Alyssa suddenly became sad, when she heard Minerva say that there would be some empty spots in the team next term. Treyen wouldn't be here next year."You will be trying out again next year, right?"Alyssa asked both Minerva and Nate. "It's not like I may be in the team next year. I was lucky to get picked this time, but with new students joining us next term, there may be better players than me, so my position is not an automatic thing. I will have to try out like everyone else again next term."

Jory loved the decorations all around the room. He was so pleased his House had won the match. "Congrats, guys!'' he said to the Team members. "You all did a brilliant job!" Really, it seemed as if Hufflepuff did have the best Quidditch team.

'WOOOOOOO,' Daisy screamed at the top of her lungs, forgetting how tired the match had made her. She could sleep later and party now. She leapt over everything running to the centre of the room grinning like a cheshire cat and threw her broom into a corner for safekeeping. She probably looked like a mad person, hair a mess, very tired and screaming her head off, but it was Quidditch. Surely she wouldn't be the only one like that.

Daisy grabbed a butterbeer and some of the muggle drink Dr. Pepper - Aaron had probably left it lying around - and started taking swigs from them in turn. Hufflepuffs deserved this party. Now just to wait for the rest of the team...

Minerva smiled and shrugged. "I don't know yet. I really dropped the ball this year and made myself a little untrust worthy about showing up. So I guess we will see. Oh Alyssa you will be on the team next term you are one of the best."

Evelyn made her way down to the common room, her hands tucked in the pockets of her jeans. She'd heard that there was going to be some kind of a victory celebration at the common room. She wasn't going to stay for a long time though since she'd never been very comfortable with parties..

Ooh!

Evelyn stared. The common room..well, it wasn't the common room anymore. Music, food, drinks, loads of people...wow. She wanted to congratulate all the players but..she definitely wasn't going to walk into the crowd.

With a small sigh, she made her way to one of the couches near the fireplace and took a seat before she started to tap her feet to the music that was playing in the background.

They. Had. Won.

And this wasn't even a dream or a fantasy. They had actually done it! They won this thing! Alec couldn't contain his excitement as he walked along the familiar corridor towards the common room. He looked at the barrels and grinned. He felt like he had eaten a whole box of gummy bears.

Still in his Quidditch robes, the young Seeker tapped the correct barrel in the correct sequence and entered the room...

... only to find that there was a PARTY going on!

Alec's grin spread wider across his face as he took a look around. Everyone seemed so happy! Lyss was singing at the top of her voice, Ella and some guy who shared a dorm with him and Messer seemed quite happy and... there was another girl there. Wasn't she meant to be on the team? And Daisy was here! And that older girl, Evelyn! A LOT of people here already!

The twelve year old shrugged as he looked around the room again. There was a LOT of food here! And there was a huge banner up on the ceiling congratulating the team. Who managed to reach all the way up to the ceiling? And, more importantly, HOW did they manage that?

... Giants. Obviously. Or Peter Pan came here.

Not knowing what to do, Alec made his way to an armchair and flopped down on it. Ah... bliss.

Minerva looked up and saw Alec sit down in a chair near her. "Hey Alec great game today. You are a wonderful player."

Sophie skipped into the Common Room, still extremely happy for the Quidditch Cup victory. She knew HUfflepuff would make it! She knew it all along!

CONGRATS, EVERYOOONE!! She shouted at pretty much everybody, throwing her arms up and jumping up and down. It was supposed to be directed to the Quidditch Team especially, but she was feeling like congratulating every single Hufflepuff!

Alec blinked as someone started talking to him. His eyes wandered from the far off corner towards...

... It was that girl! The older girl who was on the Quidditch Team as well. Minerva her name was, right? Alec sat up an grinned at the girl as she started to address him. She was nice, really. How is it that they hadn't met or talked to each other before?

"Thanks! Erm..." Was he really a wonderful player? "Thanks again! The whole team's pretty awesome. You're Minerva right?" She seemed to already know his name so it's only fair that he knew hers.

Ella saw Alec come into the common room and was eager to tell him how awesome he had done. She watched as he took a seat near Minnie and happily walked over to the two, smiling. "Hey Min, Hi Alec!" She said, waving. "Alec, I just wanted to say that you did such a good job. I think I speak for most of us first years when I say you're kind of a hero around here." She said sincerely, smiling sheepishly. It was true though, Alec was like the superman of quidditch! Saving the day and winning the matches! Not alone of course, but he played a big part! "I really hope I can be as good as you if-I mean when I try out!" Seriously, if she had half the talent Alec had then she would be golden!



Ella looked behind her when she heard Sophie enter the common room. She smiled at her friend, giggling at her excitement. "Hey Soph! This is great, isn't it!?"

Minerva gave a grin and felt a little blush in her face. It had been a long time since she had felt red in her face with all that had been going on in her life it was nice to even smile and mean it. "Yes I am Minerva. I don't think we ever really have met. Anyway I was watching the match today and you did fantastic."

The sound of someone else talking to him made him turn his head to face the new girl. But she wasn't exactly new. He knew who she was! Ella! "Hey!" Alec said, waving back at the girl.

And... then she started praising him. He really should have been prepared for this. But now... he didn't even know what to say! So he grinned sheepishly at his fellow first year. "Thanks Ella!" he said, "Erm... really? I'm a hero? But... I don't have any superpowers!" Unless they were hidden and he didn't know about them.

"You can be even better, you know," he said, nodding at her. It was true. He didn't know he could even catch a Snitch until he came to Hogwarts and tried out. Wait, did Ella say she was going to try out? "So you're trying out for the team next term?" Grin, grin, GRIN!



She... was blushing? That was new. He was used to smiling and hugging but blushing was something completely new to him. Really. He was not used to this at all soo... he smiled in return.

And he had gotten her name right! "Nice to meet you then," Alec said, "Erm, I'm Alec, Alec Summers." Yay for meeting someone new! "You were? Erm, thanks! We have a great team," he said, nodding, "How come you didn't play today?" Unless he was mistaking her for someone else...

... Nah.

"You're welcome." the first year said cheerfully, smiling. Then she was nodding, indicating that yes, he was a hero. She laughed at his comment about superpowers. "Well how about speed? That seems to be your superpower." Ella offered. He was quite fast on a broom! Maybe not as fast as a train or a speeding bullet but he was only a first year!

The young badger looked down at Alec's comment about being even better. She seriously doubted it but it was a nice thought. Her head lifted again after Alec's question, nodding enthusiastically. "Yeah, I think I will! I mean I'm getting to be quite good on a broom and well, I think I'd be okay." Shrug. Maybe she wasn't the best but she wanted to at least try! Plus if she wanted to be a quidditch star someday she had better start now! "If it doesn't work out maybe I could be a mascot or something?" That would be cool too! Bishop the Badger had a nice ring to it!

Keefer slid into the common room, prepared for a party in full swing. A blast of noise met his ears, and a grin spread across his face. "WELL DONE, team!" he yelled, finally letting out his elation where it was safe to do so away from Ravenclaws.

Yes, the Captain had arrived.

Sammy looked classy when she entered the common room. And by classy I mean she was still wearing what she had worn to the game which was her Hufflepuff shirt, Hufflepuff scarf, Hufflepuff tie (that was tied around her head like a bandanna in an attempt to calm the curls a little), yellow shoes and yellow and black stripes painted on her face. Classy was Sammy's middle name. Not really, her middle name's Joan.

Another thing that added to her classiness was how she entered the common room. In typical Sammy style she was super loud about it.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WE WON! CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!"

oh yeah. classy. In her defence this was the second time she had seen Hufflepuff win and the first time she was sick and had no idea what was going on. She also ended up breaking her arm so she had reason to be super excited. She was a little worried she was going to leave the school and only have seen Hufflepuff win the Quidditch Cup once. That would've been horrifying.

So moving on, she had congratulated them so now it was time for food. She quickly grabbed a small handful of lollies and moved on. She wasn't going to hog the food table ... just make frequent visits to it. The next the she realised was that almost everyone here was younger than her. Great. Admittedly there was only one year left that could be older than her but it made her feel super old. Soon enough she spotted someone who looked around her age, but someone who also looked kinda bored. Sammy would fix that.

So she bounded over happily, hair bouncing all over the place, and said "Why are you sitting all by yourself?" it seemed like a fair question to her. It was a PAR-TAY and this girl was sitting by herself, it didn't make sense. At all. It was completely ridiculous. What was more ridiculous was the fact that the girl didn't have any food with her either so Sammy made another very quick decision and held out the handful of lollies to the girl "Want one?" people needed food. Nice food in particular.

Evelyn looked up when she noticed the captain enter the room. "CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM, KEEFER."She yelled across the room and hoped that he heard her. Um, wait. That was his name, right?



Evelyn started to hum to the music again when a girl who seemed to be about her age and extremely hyper appeared in front of her, all of a sudden.

Um. "Well, I'm sitting here because I don't like crowds.." She nodded towards the large group of people nearby. "..and, almost everyone here is really young." Frankly, she didn't know how to have a conversation with the first and second years. The only first year she could talk to was Tristan..but he was a Slytherin.

Again, all of a sudden, the girl held a handful of sweets in front of her. "Erm..thanks." She gave a small smile and picked one. "I'm Eve, by the way."
