The prefects have their own compartment. They hold a meeting every year and you can find help here if you need it. Prefects' only, please, unless you have been invited or need assistance!

So...this was it. This was really it: Her last ride on the Hogwarts Express.
Vashti was ready for this. She knew she was. And yet...it was still hard to let go of this part of her life.
Which was why she made her way to the Prefects' compartment for her second and final time. She was hoping if she got there quickly enough she'd arrive first and have time to arrange her thoughts and feelings on officially leaving Hogwarts before she had to interact with anyone.
And, it seemed, she'd managed it.
Setting her trunk off to the side, the soon-to-be-not-Head-Girl took a seat by the window and watched as Hogwarts rapidly grew smaller and farther away...until...finally...it was hidden from view.
She sighed.

Adam trudged his suitcase slowly behind him taking his time to get to the Prefect's compartment. He still couldn't believe he could be in such a place with such leisure. For some two reasons he didn't want to be on this train. For one he'd be back in the hands of his dreaded, awful parents so there was that to look forward to. An for his second reason this would mean he'd be a seventh year in a few months. His last year.
But as he walked in he realized he had it a lot less worse than Vashti. It was her last year this year, her last train ride. That was something to..ponder about.
He took a seat closest to the door and set his trunk off to the side. The only person he knew at the moment was Vashti and she seemed to be in her own thoughts so he just sat quietly while looking at his nails.
Remember the Head Boy that had taken a seat down at the Hufflepuff table yesterday? The one that could barely hold a smile to his face? Well, wherever he was, he was gone. Something had changed, and Jake was the one to blame, surely.
Plus, now he knew he'd been cooler than that Denton person Vindictus and his sister had mentioned. It was simply great to know that.
Gilderoy was up in his cage, along with his trunk, and he brought nothing with him, really. Just as the first time he'd stepped into the train. Clearly, he was leaving the same way he'd come. Minus a few important details. And the Death card he refused to separate himself from, which was in his pocket.
"Hey everyone!" he greeted the...few people inside, as he opened the compartment door. "Or, well, Vashti and Adam, anyway," he said, as he took the closest seat to the door on Vashti's side. How come Arya wasn't here yet? How come Arya always arrived late to this compartment, eh?
A big smile on his face, by the way, almost as if the thought of leaving never troubled his mind.
There were quite a few days a year to be excited about. And the last day of the school term or the first day of summer, whichever way you'd like to see it, was simply one of the best. Ellie could not wait to go home. To see her family. To see Little Professor and Bishop. To see old friends that have already graduated and now have exciting lives to update her on. To spend loads of time with her boyfriend without having to worry about professors or classes or homework or studying or duties or other students.
There were TONS of things to be excited about. And it was just a train ride away. Which was why Ellie entered the compartment BEAMING. "Morning," she cheerfully greeted the others, taking the empty space beside Treyen. Who, by the way, she was most pleased to see smiling.
Shame the same couldn't be said about Vashti.

He had ARRIVED. And everyone in this compartment should recognize.
Walnut had been agitated with Kurumi taking her sweet time loading her things onto the train and looking for...well...whoever it was the feline's mistress was looking for. Instead, the cat decided to take it upon himself to find his throne and wait for her. Surely she would be along soon, yes?
Tail high in the air, King Walnut strut into the compartment and made several determined strides towards Peppermint Boy before promptly plopping his royal hind quarters on the floor in front of the boy and began to purr. LOUDLY.
Kurumi hadn't been able to find him, but she had sort of been expecting this after...well...after it had happened again. Kurumi's cheeks had a healthy glow about them, but she could easily pass that off as her being a little tired from all the running around she was doing from helping students board the train and dealing with her own items.
Somewhere in between the food trolley and the prefect's compartment she had lost track of Walnut...again. At least this time she didn't need to fear the Headmaster appearing out of no where and shaving him, yeah?
Entering the compartment, Kurumi spotted Walnut first and a wave of relief washed over her face. "Oh thank Merlin," she smiled, stepping in to the compartment now and glancing at Treyen. "He...um...he didn't...do anything, did he?"
In this moment, it didn't feel like the term was coming to an end. It felt like it was just beginning. Which is probably why she hadn't broken down into tears by just looking at Treyen.
"Hey Vashti...Adam..." She paused for a moment and sort of just looked at the Ravenclaw sitting next to Treyen. They hadn't spoken since, well, since that had happened. "....Ellie...."
Awkward.

If his smile could've brighten even more, then it probably would have. But since it was the biggest he could hold...then...only his eyes became brighter at the sight of her.
His girlfriend, of course.
And as soon as she was next to him, he took her hand. Granted, he was about to kiss her cheek when he heard something/someone at his feet.
Momentarily freaked out by what could Walnut possibly do, he froze. Until he took in the purring and smiled sweetly at the cat, "What? You like me now?" All of the sudden? What made Walnut change his mind? And what made Treyen's mind change as well? Because his free hand went to the cat, or more precisely, the cat's ears, and he stroked them, gently. "Where's--" His question was cut short, the one person he was going to ask Walnut about was just making an appearance.
Then he chuckled. "He's being nice. For a change." Yeah, the last time he'd seen Walnut, the King of the Gryffindors wasn't the most welcoming cat at all. "No need to worry...unless he misbehaves." Hear that, your grace? NO misbehaving. He was probably no Head Boy, or soon to be NOT a Head Boy anymore, but he could still do magic and punish those that needed some punishment...like Tate had done. So, watch it, Walnut.
Kurumi out to keep an eye on the cat, just in case.
"How are you?" Probably a little bit stressed by Walnut leaving her behind, as usual. There was something she didn't know, though. One pocket contained the Death card Ellie gave him, while the other contained the little charm Kurumi had given him.

Arya always arrived late to this compartment, because she first always had to visit the trolley before getting settled. The line never ceased to amazed her how long it could get before the train even started off.
Luggage tucked away neatly in the back compartments, it was also very likely that she was late because she didn't want to rush her walk to the front. It was her last train ride, and she didn't want to rush anything. And Perseus didn't like moving too fast as much as he had in the past.
The kneazle was showing age.
.... And Miss Puff prefect totally didn't forget to get Treyen something.
With Perseus neatly cradled in one arm, she moved into the compartment and grinned in greeting to everyone there. Which wasn't yet that many. "Morning, guys." Taking up the seat beside her best friend, she kept her kneazle in her lap, and dropped a pumpkin pastie in his lap. "Snagged you a pastie." He was so welcome. Heh.

Kennedy took his time to get to the Prefect's compartment. He was in no rush to get anywhere and neither was the cat that hung over his shoulder. Yeah, Oliver had the odd habit of just hanging anywhere that was solid enough for him to sleep on. The cat had also thrown a fit when he placed inside his cage for the ride. Kennedy had found him trying to bite his way out of the metal bars, but that wasn't what convinced him to let the great cat out. Nooo. It had been the loud screeching it began to make when it saw Kennedy.
Embarrassing pet moment.
This time, Kennedy opened the door to the compartment and didn't fall through like the first time he did at the beginning of the term. Another embarrassing moment, hopefully none would follow.
"Hello," he greeted everyone with a timid wave and smile. He wondered how the trip back to King's Cross was like since the Heads were leaving among others. Did people cry on these occasions, or remember the good times they had together or...he didn't know what else was done having never been in a situation like this. But, if it was him, he'd be remembering the fun times instead of sad things.
Kennedy situated his luggage on the rack and sat down, placing Oliver on his lap. The cat's leg and tail occasionally twitched. He was probably dreaming of playing with Sebastian's tail. Meh.
ZZZZZZZZ! The great bengal cat shifted on his back so that his belly was facing up. This was suuuuch a comfortable position for him. Especially when he was dreaming about moving yarn. Mmmmm. At the sound of voices he creaked a yellow eye open and SWISHED his tail every way. Better not bother the the Great Oliver from his slumber.

Walnut's eyes shut when he felt masculine hands began to pet his ears. Yes, as long as you were doing this, Peppermint Boy, we liked you very much. Well, that and there were other people higher up on the feline's pee hit list.
That...and the feline had been lurking in the shadows when he and his mistress had been in the trophy room. He couldn't pee on someone who his mistress obviously cared to much for. It was poor form. That being said...if shoes were left unattended somewhere...
Kurumi smiled and couldn't help but laugh a little. "He...gets that way around the end of the term. He took Evelyn graduating last year really hard." Which was an understatement. The feline had refused fish flakes and milk for a few weeks and even now the cat was drawn to the scent of roses.
Kurumi was just about to reach down and scoop her cat up when he leaped out of her reach and....right onto Treyen's lap. Oh Merlin...please don't do anything stupid... Once Walnut had curled up into a ball on the still Head Boy's lap, Kurumi's shoulders relaxed a bit and a soft smile tugged on the corners of her lips. "See," she said, pointing at him. "He is going to miss you." Just not nearly as much as she was, but that was a given.
When Arya and Kennedy walked in, she offered the two of them a smile and a wave before turning her head back to Treyen again, cocking her head to the side. His question was...a weighted one to be sure. She wasn't sure how she had been, but things really hadn't changed that much from their last private conversation.
What in kneazle's name....
Still curled in a ball on Peppermint Boy's lap, Walnut eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyed the THING that had come in with the Bushy Haired Wonder. That thing best know that this was his domain...or else he would be forced to mark it.
*purr*
"I've been...alright," she replied, chewing on the inside of her cheek and debating whether or not she should sit down. She felt silly just...standing there and was just about to sit down next to Treyen when...never mind. Kurumi stumbled on spot for a moment, an obvious look of disappointment on her face for a moment, before she settled for sitting directly across from him and folded her hands in her lap. "Been doing...a lot of thinking...about everything."

Reason: *whistles* you saw nothing!
Selena skipped down the train corridor before pausing in front of the prefect's compartment. She readjusted the purple pygmy puff on her head before popping the door open and grinning at everyone. "Hullooooo everyone, wonderful day today," she chirped, closing the door behind her before she eyed the pets in there. Namely... the cats in there. Those things better keep their paws and fangs to themselves or she'd have to go fetch Clarke and make Clarke eat them. Because crups ate cats and kneazles right? Obviously.
"And how are you all? Excited? School's over!" Selena said, taking her gaze off of the cats and clapping her hands with the same ginormous smile pasted on her face. They certainly all LOOKED happy. And if they weren't, it wasn't something chocolate therapy couldn't fix. They could be an insane group of awesometastical hyper prefects, really, how bad could that be?

Keefer stumbled into the compartment, the train hitting a particularly large bump right after he opened the door. Gracefulness was never his forte, anyways. He took in the present members, ready to spend some time with the older crowd after conversations with mostly younger students at the Feast. Good, I'm not the only Captain here, he noted, seeing the other redheaded Captain present. And hey, she looks mighty happy... And so did Treyen. My, what difference a night can make, he thought, a bit suspicious. He glanced down at their entwined hands, half expecting a sparkling rock to be present.
"Hey, all. Ready for holiday?" he asked to no one in particular, plunking his things down on the shelf above him and still wondering what could have caused the complete reversal in Treyen's demeanor from yesterday. He took a seat near Treyen and Ellie, but mostly near Treyen. He wanted to spend time with him during this, his last chance.

After a moment of trying to opening her jelly slugs with one hand unsuccessfully, she finally pulled her hand away from Perseus for a moment long enough get it open and one in her mouth. The entire task had her missing a but of what was going on, but not that look on Kurumi's face.
Why was she looking like that?
Miss Puff prefect frowned some for a moment, realization sinking in slowly as she figured out what she had been oblivious to not minutes ago. Oh. Wrapping an arm around her kneazle carefully, she scooted over enough that there was space plenty between her and Treyen. Enough for Kurumi. She pat patted the seat and looked over at the lion prefect.
"What are you doing for summer?"

After feeling Treyen's hand, Ellie became very distracted by the cute feline that entered and took an immediate interest in her boyfriend. She also made to bend down and scratch the cat, until Kurumi joined them and made it ever so clear that that was her cat. And Ellie remembered Kurumi's cat. So instead, she narrowed her eyes at it and curled her legs onto the seat, hugging her knees with her free arm.
Not that that made any difference because the cat was now on Treyen's lap. And she wiggled away from Treyen just a bit. Needless to say, Ellie smile wasn't as bright anymore, if it was still existent at all.
However, it returned slightly at Kurumi's greeting. "Hi, Kurumi," she answered very civilly. The Gryffindor still might not be her favorite person in the world, but she didn't really feel like she had much against her anymore. At least, if she did, it simply wasn't worth it.
Then Arya and a bunch of others joined them. Selena's question received a nod, and they all got finger wiggles. Except for Keefer. Because Ellie owed him something. "Hey, Keefer?" Just to get his attention. "Congratulations on the Cup, by the way." She never got to tell him. She was way too into her own sorrow at the time, and hadn't seen him since. But she supposed he and his team deserved that trophy. Even if she wanted it more.

The Slytherin Prefect came inside. No one was falling into the compartment yet. That was good, because it was starting to get crowded in here. "Hey Kennedy," a smile and a nod went to the boy...and as Treyen was about to ask him about summer...someone caught his attention...
Finally! Arya had arrived. And...now he knew the reason why it had taken her too long to come here. The same reason as always. He should've known, yet he forgets about it all the time. Granted, food was almost never on his mind.
And the one who reminded him was always Arya.
She brought along something for him too, apparently. Will this ever end?? He suddenly had a vision of Arya apparating just to make sure he'd eaten. Sigh. "I don't have to eat it now, right?" he asked, and resisted the urge to chuckle. "I'll save it for later, okay? But thanks." The big smile was back and his lips kissed her cheek. This one person he was going to miss forever. Sabel better not take her too far away from him.
Now that he put away the pumpkin pasty (wrapped in the little bag Arya had put it in), he was mighty glad he'd done so, because now Walnut was taking over Treyen's own space as he took residence on his lap. This wasn't going to last the whole trip, right? Still, the Head Boy stroked his ears, neck and whatever fur he found, completely oblivious to his girlfriend's reaction to Walnut on his side. He did feel she'd moved inches away from him...but...
...his eyes widened, "Evelyn?" Whaaat? Walnut liked Evelyn? Now he wasn't trusting Walnut too much. How could he like Evelyn AND Treyen? For starters, Treyen was nice.
Miss him? "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll miss him too." Who wouldn't? Especially this cat. Though Treyen was going to miss Perseus as well. He was incredibly smart.
Now that he'd asked the question, he realized there was something he wanted to tell Kurumi...but...it was a private matter, so, probably at King's Cross or in a few hours. "That's nice." The thinking. And he even wondered if that thinking involved Lewis. For the Hufflepuff's sake he hoped so.
O_O
Then someone much happier than everyone in the compartment made an appearance. Selena. Certainly glad to be leaving for the summer, no doubt. He chuckled, but said nothing more.
Speaking of one who'll be mighty happy to go home for the summer and tell the news of the Quidditch Cup to his family...here came the Hufflepuff Captain. Oh! Keefer! He'd forgot to say his proper goodbye to him. The boy was definitely getting a letter this summer. Both him and Lewis. And they should meet, the three of them. Lewis already knew this, Keefer didn't...and the Head Boy was going to mention this to the current Captain when he noticed the way he was looking at him...and Ellie. Yes? Keefer? Can we help you? And he eyed their hands? Keefer DID know Ellie was his girlfriend, right? It's not like he wasn't present at that dormitory talk, and back at the Locker Room with the Championship t-shirt. So, this should be no surprise.
An eyebrow was raised at the Captain.
The congratulations from his girlfriend, though, were highly unexpected. He'd supposed she'd already congratulated Keefer on it.
The Prefect Compartment. Selina stared long and hard at the compartment as she heard the rustling and bustling of the prefects and captains who sat behind the door. Selina was, for lack of a better term, uncomfortable when it came to entering the compartment. It was not exactly a place that she felt she was allowed to be in mostly because she was the youngest person who was part of the prefect/captain team. Being the youngest meant that she looked up to a lot of the older students and so her being permitted to enter the compartment was foriegn to her at best.
Finally, she brushed it off as rubish and, cautiously, entered the compartment. Inside, she saw Vashti, Treyen, Kurumi, Adam, the other Selena, Ellie, Arya, Kennedy, and Keefer. At all of the faces Selina suddenly felt a rush of awkwardness spill over her. All of the students there were the epitome of prefect/captain ideals. The redhead smiled awkwardly at everyone and said, "Erm... hello everyone."
Mr. Unicorn: Kim's daughter: Jenn's sister : MILKSHAKES: Lita Daley: The Sun: Its so Fluffy!
Oh, Kurumi and Selina. Adam should have foreseen this, but Selina was now there. Well, ever since he entered the compartment he hadn't greeted anyone back. He might as well start now and try to do some conversation rather than be a silent muted Prefect. "Hello Selina" His voice was rather rigid when he spoke to her. "Oh, and hi Kurumi,Treyen,Vashti,Kennedy..." Adam added hastily, he didn't know anyone else which made him sink in his seat even more.
Baguette | there is no D in my name | TRAITORclaw | Queenie of Narnia
She wasn't alone for long...but fortunately by the time the first of the prefects showed, she'd managed to sort out her thoughts enough to be able to speak and interact as normal.
It certainly helped that none of the prefects and captains that entered started crying about the seventh years leaving or anything like that.
Vashti smiled and greeted everyone that entered with a "Hello," but didn't say much past that. They all seemed more intent on their conversations with the others, and that was okay with her. She kept her eyes away from Treyen and Ellie when they started holding hands. For some odd reason she couldn't explain, seeing happy couples bothered her all of a sudden. So instead her attention was focused on Kurumi's cat, Walnut, except for when a new person entered and she greeted them with a friendly "Hello." To keep her hands occupied, she alternated between playing with the broom charm Kurumi had given her at the feast - which she had attached to a spare bracelet chain she'd found in her trunk when she was packing her things - and the necklace Anakin had given her for her birthday over a year prior.

As he settled in, he heard Ellie address him. "Yeah?" Attention granted. "Oh, uh..." That had been awhile ago. He wasn't expecting to still be getting congratulations at this point. Especially not from her. The Captain they had beaten, who had taken the loss so hard. "...thanks!" he finished, still a bit confused. "And congratulations on your season as well. I enjoyed watching all your games," he finished, a bit lamely.

The congratulations from his girlfriend, though, were highly unexpected. He'd supposed she'd already congratulated Keefer on it.
He was then distracted by the person sitting next to Ellie. The BigHead Boy... who happened to be giving Keefer a LOOK. "What?" he asked, genuinely perplexed. Was he not allowed to so much as talk to the girl? Over protective much, Treyen? They were an item, everyone knew that. Keefer wouldn't have tried to steal her away even if he wanted to. He shrugged and gave it up as a mystery between the lovebirds. Treyen could have the whole girlfriend thing, but Keefer would stick to Quidditch. At least I understand that.
It was a relief to the sixth year, really, that Vashti was smiling. Very good. Because Ellie really didn't see the point in being sad. And Vashti had seemed...sad. It was awful.
Another small wave went to Selina when she entered. But, honestly, Ellie was most interested in minding Walnut, and her conversation with Keefer.
She smiled at the acceptance and was more than willing to just leave it at that. They'd had a fantastic season. They'd won. She congratulated him. The end. But no, Keefer had to go and mention her season. And Ellie knew that it was just formalities and politeness that made him say such a thing. Internally, the redhead cringed, because to her, it was all false. But outwardly, she decided to be just as polite back. "Thanks."
And she bit her lip when the Hufflepuff Captain addressed Treyen. What what? She honestly wasn't sure. She wasn't paying much attention to Treyen. Not as long as that evil cat was in his lap, at least.

Distracted from eyeing Walnut when SelEna came into the compartment, Kurumi sort of just bowed her head towards the girl. Was she ready for the summer? Not at all. She would actually rather it not come at all because...well...that meant time was passing, slipping through her fingers.
She wished time would just stop.
Keefer asked sort of the same thing when he walked in, and she responded the same way, with a small bow of the head. It wasn't until Treyen was talking again that she really was brought back into the compartment and away from her thoughts. And, yes, Ellie, she did notice the mildly pleasant tone in your voice.
"Evelyn really liked Walnut," Kurumi nodded. "She was always fussing over him. It actually helped us sort of become friends. She even wrote me, twice, this term." Which had been a big shocker. The biggest had been when the once thought to be cookie hater had sent her cookies. Cookies that she had shared with Lewis...before things...became incredible complicated.
Kurumi's cheeks flushed, which was really poor timing as Arya scooted over just enough to allow her to sit in between her and Treyen. As much as she used to blush about sitting beside the Hufflepuff, there was a different one that was bringing the rosy glow to her cheeks now and hopefully some people would not take it the wrong way as she shuffled her feet over and sat down beside him, glancing at Walnut who seemed to think he had won some sort of award.
"M-Me?" she asked, looking at Arya now. "I'm....just going back to Japan..." No real plans...besides literally watching time tick away at life as it were. Change of subject, yes? "What about you? What's next?" She asked, returning the question. "Oh, and, um...thank you...for the small birthday celebration."
Of course Peppermint Boy was going to miss him. Who else was going to keep the boy in line? Hmm? And we saw that, Burnt Tire Girl or whatever smell she was. The way she was moving away from his royal highness like that. Pfft.
This cat had a fish bone to pick with this one. Oh yes he did. She best keep an eye on her shoes...or her bag...or her BROOM.
Walnut began to swish his tail back and forth, but still continued to purr. Peppermint Boy had nice hands. He wasn't moving for a while.
And then Kurumi's attention was back on Treyen and the whole...thinking conversation. Merlin did the Gryffindor have a lot on her mind right now and there was no way she was going to be able to sort everything out. Especially not when her thoughts always lingered back to her mother. She had to be the focus right now. It was selfish of her to do so, but she had to. Her time with her was running out. Two more months...maybe less...
It looked as though Treyen wanted to say more to her, but was holding back. This only meant that she needed to have one last private conversation with him before they temporarily parted ways. "F-Father will be at the platform when we arrive," she said suddenly. "He has been asking about you."
A few more people entered the compartment now, including her best friend and she flashed Selina a smile before...her smiled faded as the next person entered.
Adam.
Her gaze quickly shifted towards her shoes and she just bowed her head when he greeted her. She didn't know how to act around him anymore. Not after, well, after he had said those things to her...about her...about how he still felt. She really didn't need more complications right now.
Never mind. There was someone else a little higher up on the feline's Pee Hit List. Tire Girl was safe....for now....
His tail swished back and forth a little more in agitation.

And speaking of which... "So what's the deal with this cat?" he wondered aloud, half to himself and half to anyone that would answer. There was obviously a history he didn't know. Like why Ellie seemed to not like it, and Treyen seemed surprised that it liked him.
A nod and a smile went to the ones who returned the greeting. And..., "Hey, Selina," went to Selina, of course.
But...Keefer! Treyen's expression relaxed. Really, neither of them could read expressions, so, the Head Boy might as well drop it. He hadn't understood what Keefer's look meant, and it was perfectly clear that he hadn't understood Treyen's either. They were even. Apparently. "Nothing," he said. The eyebrow went back into place and his smile returned. "What are you doing this summer?" THAT was not the same question he asked Lewis.
His hand squeezed Ellie's just a bit when the conversation between her and Keefer continued to a simple 'Thanks'. It had been incredibly awful for her. Losing. But Treyen still thought she was a brilliant player, and an even better Captain. Though, Keefer was winning in that contest, because he allowed Treyen to skip practices so he could tend to his studies.
Now....Kurumi.
Treyen simply couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was that the same Evelyn they were talking about? The tall, scary Slytherin who freaked him out even more when she became Head Girl? Yes, that must be the one. Treyen tries to nod as if saying he's understood, when in fact...he hasn't. But that didn't matter much, right?
The stroking continued...until she mentioned Japan to Arya. "Japan? Will you been around Diagon Alley this summer?" that was the only hope for him to see her. Unless he actually went to Japan, but for some reason that seemed almost impossible and very unlikely.
WAAAAIIIIT. What?! The stroking stopped altogether. "Mr. Hollingberry?" Howler-man? "For me?" Like, what did he want? Surely Treyen will be pleased to see him, but...not if he had more Howlers to deliver. He was such a good man, though, one good man who must be in terrible pain. His eyes went to Ellie as he got a glimpse of what Charles must be going through. It must feel infinitely worse. Losing the one you've long for so long. And not being able to do anything about it.
Hey, now, we notice the tail! So, calm down Walnut. "Be a good King, Walnut." The stroking commences again.
It felt awkward, by the way, having Kurumi on one side and Ellie on the other.
But his eyes were on Keefer now. The cat. Walnut? Yeah, he must be talking about him. "This is Kurumi's. He's Walnut. Self-proclaimed King of...the Gryffindor Common Room...and almost of my shoes, once." That ought to explain it. Marking territories was a hobby of this cat.

SPOILER!!: Kurumi
A few more people entered the compartment now, including her best friend and she flashed Selina a smile before...her smiled faded as the next person entered.
Adam.
Her gaze quickly shifted towards her shoes and she just bowed her head when he greeted her. She didn't know how to act around him anymore. Not after, well, after he had said those things to her...about her...about how he still felt. She really didn't need more complications right now.
Adam couldn't blame her for being silent as if she had no force to utter a sound. They had talked about this before, several times, so it wouldn't be too different. Though it was the train ride back home, they didn't need to spoil it with such a fascinating conversation. Besides, they should all enjoy the last few hours they had with their fellow seventh years.
"So, Kurumi...Are you doing anything interesting this summer?"
Maybe that wasn't the best question. "I mean... got any money to splurge on this summer?" Better. But not the greatest.

Kurumi's attention had been entirely on Adam when he had entered the compartment and she felt her entire body go rigid. Since he had not been on the Hogwarts Express when they had been coming, due to a bad case of dragon pox, she had completely forgotten that he too would be riding the train.
She swallowed and was glad that Treyen drew her attention back to him - even if the discussion was on something she didn't want to think about: home. "I'll...be leaving straight away," she frowned. Meaning as soon as her father had come to collect her and her things. Maybe they would get something to eat before, but the Gryffindor doubt it. "I won't be back until..." She bit down on her lip, her vioelt gaze meeting Treyen's, transmitting the rest of that thought, the reason reason, there. "...until towards the end of summer."
Which meant you, Treyen Lockhart, would be receiving letters. Lots of them.
She nodded. Her father was always interested in seeing her friends...almost a little too interested in some cases and Kurumi had learned that, well, she shouldn't tell her father everything everything. If he knew...well...Lewis would probably be a smudge spot somewhere on the castle grounds by now. "He likes you, father," she nodded. Because that really explained everything, didn't it? "I think he just wants to congratulate you." Kurumi didn't always understand how her father's mind worked - which wasn't really that bad a thing.
Kurumi then missed Treyen explaining to Keefer about Walnut, although the feline heard it all and purred loudly in approval, because her attention was back on Adam...and his questions.
Her eyes widened when she heard what he had to say and she just stared at him. How...could he asked her about her summer when he knew what all was going on. Kurumi bit her lip and her body scrunched up just a little in self defense. What ever he had said to her the night before now seemed like some sort of cruel joke. Money to splurge? That was almost insulting.
Instead of answering right away, she sort of just glared at her co-prefect while her eyes watered a bit. "...no..."
