Selena Zabini-Riddle still couldn't believe she was a prefect, but did it matter now? No. Because she was indeeeeed a prefect and she was going to go into the Prefect compartment right now because she could. Was she nervous? Not in the least but it may or may not have to do with the amount of sugar she had consumed before boarding the scarlet Hogwarts Express. The tiny sixth year had not given up on balancing Kent on her head but she also had a new accessory... the adorable little cruppy with was, sadly, sleeping and cradled in Selena's arms right now. Little cruppy with two tails and all... it was cute. Just like Kent.

"HELLLOOOO all you people with shiny badges!" Selena exclaimed, beaming at everyone as she walked in. They all did have shiny badges right? Selena had hers in her bag somewhere and couldn't be bothered to take it out now and risk waking up the little cruppy... or have Kent roll off of her head. Then she realized something. "This is the prefects' compartment... right?" she asked. Just to make sure. Because... well... yeah, just to make sure. Selena still had a smile plastered on her face as she looked around the place for familiar faces. Nope. Nope. And... somewhat to some. They were on yearbook right? Yeah, probably. OH WAIT. There was the girl with the owl from the end of term... hmm... and Alien the other Selena... with an i. Hmm... seemed like she did somewhat know some of them.

"Ohh..." he said, clearly missing out on the joke. Maybe it had been sarcasm? Keefer wasn't good at picking up on those things.

Smirking, "It was quite a throw for a little request." There was no way a projectile like that could be unintentional.. right? And then Kimalia turned to hear the compartment door open again with a petite-sized girl, firstly looking for a badge she saw she was from her house.

"Hey," then nodding her head towards the open basket of sugar quills she brought. "Help yourself."

Ira was wandering along the train searching for washroom when she came across this compartment.. She could hear many people's voices inside.

She opened the door and peeked in.. She asked, "Um... I.. just..um.. wanted to ask.." How could she ask them? They all appeared so much senior and big!

"Um.. I'm so sorry to interrupt you all.. but... er, can anyone tell me.. where are the washrooms?" Then she saw their shiny badges! Oh Merlins! This was the prefects' compartment! It seemed so stupid to ask this question to the prefects! Ira's face was flushed red from embarrassment!

But then it wasn't technically her fault that she had come here! Some other kid had directed her here... She wouldn't leave him..

"Um.. I'm so sorry.. I should probably just leave.. I'll look for washrooms on my own.." Saying so, Ira rushed from there and headed back to the other end of the train, as far as possible!

And the door was opening again. Honestly, it seemed like people kept coming in and in and in....

....and he never realized because he was one to arrive late on previous occasions.



Of course, he didn't mind the people walking into the compartment, especially if one of them was his girlfriend...with that flower. Sigh.

He did smile at her, though, and decided to chuckle when she asked about him wanting to take the flower that was given to her? Er, no? Yet his eyes went to Kurumi after she'd asked. Why? Because the only time he's gotten flowers from anyone had been from her, the Gryffindor Prefect. "No, it's yours." Plus, if he took possession of that flower, he'd get rid of it.



The smile on his face widened at the sight of his best friend. That was enough of a greeting, yes? No, not really. "Hi, Arya." He said, as soon as his hand was squeezed by hers.

This was their last train to Hogwarts. Not such an easy task, right? Yet Kurumi had help at the very beginning of it.

Rufus. He was certainly more excited about returning than he was. "He does, doesn't he? He's behaved, though." Thaddeus was the one that got on the wrong side of everything this summer. Granted, the Knarl wasn't coming to Hogwarts. Gilderoy and Rufus were enough. Especially since Aslan was his too.



Hey! She did go to Conan's! Man, Treyen missed that kid so much! He felt the urge to call him to see how he was...but...er, couldn't possibly do that right now. He'll have to write as soon as they got to Hogwarts.

"Yes, exactly. I remember that one." Roller coasters had been his favorites, but there was something about that particular ride he enjoyed very much.

A nod. "I completely agree," though, his academical path was going to be certainly different, and he could work as he kept studying, which was always a plus, "You should do so." It's not like he saw Kurumi doing something else than studying. Well, except teaching, because she was a pretty good teacher as well.



"Congratulations, Eino!" he was such a nice kid. Seriously. For some strange reason he seemed to like him, and they'd only met once or twice before.

Ellie was far more enthusiastic about the boy than Treyen was, though, which was completely okay. Except for the flower. Which got ruined.

His eyes went from the flower to Ellie...and he decided on taking whatever was left of the flower with him, only to replace the flower with his hand on Ellie's. He'll get rid of the flower, really. Just as he thought he would. Unless Arya knew a spell to bring back dead flowers, then the fate of it will rest on the Hogwarts' grounds.

One kiss was given to Ellie's cheek, though, as he took her hand.



And...someone else stepped inside. Ivory wasn't returning as Prefect, right? That's all he knew from Arya. So, when Vashti joined them...he only assumed that she was the new Prefect, right?

Only...she was a seventh year...and since Arya was still Prefect...

"Hi, Head Girl." He had to assume correctly. Had to.



Yes! He was incredibly excited about this! Imagine how it would've been if it had been Aaron the one that got that position, eh?

"Over ten years. Actually." Give or take a few, but if he was right, the last guy Captain had been back when his sister was a first year or so. Clearly, a long time ago, hence why he was so excited about this. Not that the girls Captain had done a terrible job. They had been exhausting in practice.

Er, right. He was going to miss Kita so much. But when Keefer mentioned replacement...OH, NO. No, no. "Hey, I'm not Seeking." His eyes went to Ellie. There was NO way that IF he made the team, he'll let Keefer put him in that position. He didn't want to play against her. Not really. Once had been enough.



Another one! "Thanks. Congrats on becoming Captain, by the way." Treyen was going to be missing Lola, even if he wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was sure Kimalia had learned a few tricks from her former Captain. And she'll do a good job, yes?

Just as long as Hufflepuff gets to win the Quidditch Cup this year, all was well.

And then some girl stepped inside...asking for the washrooms?

She gave Treyen no time to answer him or anything, because just as soon as she entered, she left. Odd, really. Hadn't Sierra stayed at this compartment when she was a firstie, though?

"Very hot and sunny." He replied as he readjusted himself on the seat. This was the first time he spent his entire summer in England. Usually, he was confined under the cloudy skies and gloomy ambiance of Finland where, in spite of the season, rain was a common visitor. He liked that much more than the English weather, and he also liked his company in Finland better, too. He leaned back and relaxed his back as he glanced over Ellie's shoulder to take a peak through the window. "Oh." He exclaimed as a sudden thought came to his mind. He tightened his grip on Ino's carrier with one hand and dug the other on his pocket. Once removed, the hand was holding a recently opened box Berty Bott's every Flavor Beans. He held it open for Ellie and offered her. "My cousin taught me how to use Berty Bott's Every Flavor Beans as divination. Think of something, a question, then close your eyes and take one." He explained and held the box closer to her. Too close to her face, actually.



When the compartment's door swung open again and another person joined them, Eino began to feel like he was at home. No, not home home. Hogwarts home, the Ravenclaw Common Room. It wasn't just another Ravenclaw that walked in, but Vashti Greenwell, a very popular Ravenclaw, but most importantly, his friend. "Hello, Vashti." The boy said as he waved, which to Vashti would probably look more like a signal, considering how exaggerated it was.



Eino hadn't noticed the next girl who walked in, but turned his head immediately after hearing his name. It took a moment for he to remember who she was. He knew her as a member of the Slytherin team, but couldn't remember ever meeting her. That is, until she mentioned the party decoration. "Hello!" He replied enthusiastically. "Oh, that was really no problem. I was delighted to help." Yes, now he could remember exactly what had happened. "How was your summer?" He asked, completely forgetting to congratulate her on her new badge. It seemed like a common thing to do here, but Eino was more interested in getting to know them.



Then there was the Head Boy, who had been a Prefect since Eino had come to Hogwarts. was that possible? For a moment, Eino wore a confused look on his face as he discreetly counted his fingers. "Hello Treyen." He finally replied after concluding that Treyen had been the Hufflepuff prefect always, regardless of whether it was possible or not. To make up for his delay, he moved his hand's direction, the one that was holding the box of Berty Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and offered it to Treyen. "Think of a question, then take a bean. I've learned to use them as a form of Divination. I call it Bebobeanomancy." Though his cousin, the one who taught him, called it something completely different, something more elaborate and much more clever, but he couldn't remember what it was.

Selena beamed at her, her eyes shining as she looked at the basket filled with colorful sugar quills. Selena could live with that. Maybe Kent would eat sugar quills instead of snot? That would be nice. "Thank you!" she said, still smiling from ear to ear as she carefully pulled out a green one. She sat down near the basket though, because sweets was a must. "I'm Selena Zabini-Riddle, Slytherin prefect," she told the girl with the shiny badge. Shiny quidditch badge that was... very much Slytherin which only made Selena smile even more if it was possible. "Cooooooolllll!! You're the Slytherin captain for Quidditch!!!" she exclaimed, almost applauding the girl before remembering, it might wake up the cruppy. Clarke needed to sleep. Yup.

Nodding in approval at Treyen, "Thanks, hopefully I can do half as well as Lola and Aaron have done." The house did have a reputation to uphold, and Kimalia could almost feel the pressure with having to lead another Quidditch cup win.

"My Summer was.." Looking sideways at nowhere in a search for a word to describe it. "..productive." Smiling a little wanly, not wanting to share her reasons. "Let's just say, I'll be doing better in at least one class, and yours?"

"Yea," laughing softly at her excitement. "Nice to meet you Selena, I'm Kimalia." Introducing herself as Selena took a sugar quill. Looking towards Kennedy again, "Summer was good I presume?"

Vashti finally pulled the badge out of her pocket and let it rest in her palm. Not really sure whether to actually put it on or not, she decided to just hold it for now. This way, in case anyway wondered why she was here, she could explain without speaking, since she had discovered over the summer that she was incapable of not stuttering when the Head Girl thing came up. But hopefully she'd get over it soon. As in, before the day was over.



Vashti turned to the first person who addressed her. Ohh, she recognized him from the Quidditch pitch - at least, she thought that was where she'd seen him - but his name escaped her. She didn't often pay attention to opposing players' names though, just the player themself, so that wasn't a big surprise.

Grinning, she nodded and answered, "The best." Probably one of the best summers she had had in a long time. "How was yours?

And then he was introducing himself. At least she knew his name now. "Nice to 'officially' meet you then, Keefer," she said with a smile, extending a polite hand (the one that didn't hold her badge). "Congratulations on becoming Captain."



Vashti returned Kurumi's smile and wave as she greeted her, and she offered a smile for the girl that Kurumi appeared to be glued to. She thought she recognized the girl, most likely from the Quidditch pitch. Was she a new Captain too then? Vashti didn't get a chance to ask though because Kurumi was suddenly congratulating her. She managed to nod and smile and reply, "Thanks." And for once, she didn't trip over her words. Maybe she was getting better about this.



Heads? So the Head Boy was in here too. Who was... Oh. Of course. Heh, this was no surprise at all.

"Thanks!" she told the girl. Then, noticing her badge as well, she added, "Congratulations on becoming Slytherin's Captain." This was going to be an interesting Quidditch season, Vashti could already tell.



So...either Treyen was good at guessing...or he had seen her badge. Either way, Vashti smiled and replied, "Hey there, Head Boy." Thank Merlin she still didn't stutter. Perhaps she really was finally getting used to this.



Wait. Wasn't that the pygmy puff girl? Hm... Yep. A quick glance at the top of the girl's head revealed the pygmy puff sitting there. So she was a prefect too now? Small world.

"Hey there. Congratulations on becoming prefect," Vashti said with a smile.



Then a younger girl entered, looking very nervous and asking about...the washrooms? But she didn't really wait around for an answer because suddenly she was closing the door and was gone. Upon glancing at Treyen, it seemed he was just as confused as Vashti was.

Did this happen often?



And then she noticed Eino. She couldn't believe she hadn't noticed him before, but now it was impossible not to with the very exaggerated...waving? Yeah, that seemed to be what he was doing. So she waved back - a normal wave - and smiled. "Hey Eino." And then...she realized. "You're Ravenclaw prefect too?!" Ohhh, yay! This was good!

Then she took a brief moment to look around the compartment and see who she had missed. There was Ellie sitting near Eino and Treyen, and she also noticed Arya sitting near them as well. Both of them received a smile. Then she noticed another one who she didn't recognize - or at least, who she couldn't place a name to, as she thought she might've seen him around Hogwarts at some point, maybe in a class - but he seemed to be a new prefect too, considering how nervous he appeared. She might've sat down and asked him his name, but that was the moment that she heard Eino mentioning something called "Bebobeanomancy," and her attention turned suddenly back to him.

What in Merlin's name was Bebobeanomancy?

Glancing away from her best friend, she looked over to the compartment door that was forever bringing in new faces. And it wasn't that she wasn't happy to see this one, just that it was another official recognition that Ivory really wasn't returning this term as a prefect.

Her smile did twitch a bit wider though, when she realized that the Ravenclaw wasn't just a prefect but also Head Girl. At least she assumed such since she and Treyen were the only other seventh year student leaders. But... hmm... she couldn't pin a name to the recongnizable face.

"Hey, Head Girl." That was always a winner, hehe.



Oh, this one was happy, and she had a cute little cruppie! "That it is, prefect. Welcome!" Arya smiled at her and was secretly glad that they all had titles she could use since their names escaped her. Or more like she didn't know the names. Only the faces from classes.

But now seemed like a could time to catch some names as they were thrown around. A lot were being thrown around. Hm.



"Hey!" She smiled at this new face as well. Aww she had sweeeeets! Miss Puff prefect would have soo went for some if she didn't already have a few from stopping by the trolley on that way up here. Right now though, she just smiled over at her.



Another Ravenclaw. Another face she only recognized from classes, but wasn't able to pin a name to. Maaaybe she would pay more attention to them during the lessons. Maybe. "Hey! Congrats on your badge." Her eyes wandered to all the new student leaders. Nope. Not one name was coming to mind, and so far she was doing a terrible job catching any. "Congrats on all of your badges." It was soo much easier just to get them all out of the way at once. Hehe.



No, this last ride wasn't a easy task, but she wasn't mentioning it. Didn't need to be all sad-faced. Plus the excitement of all the younger students was a bit contagious.

She shifted so that Perseus, who was getting too curious about the new faces and creatures, could move to her lap and be spoiled with ear scratches. "That's cause he's too cute to misbehave." Or was it too cute to be mad at if he did? "But it's good that he's not doing so in here with all the other pets." The very last thing they needed was all their pets at each others throats.

The ickle firstie that entered got a few confused blinks from Arya when she came and went. Washrooms? She definitely had the wrong compartment for that.

"What's that for?" She was looking back at Treyen now, and the dead flower in his hand. Did it have some sort of value she was unaware of?

When Kurumi got a little sassy Selina smirked at her best friend. Merlin, she had missed her this summer. She honestly wondered how she had gotten on without seeing her everyday like she was accustomed to doing during the school year. Alas, she had gotten on but now it was just really nice to see her, even if they were being a little sassy to one another.

The two stayed in a semi-stare down for a few moments before Kurumi hopped up and bounded across the compartment to hug Selina. When the two girls hugged Selina grasped onto her friend and laughed. It was so fabulous to see her and this term was going to be an interesting one she could already tell. Kurumi joked about their meeting in the Leaky Cauldron and Selina chuckled, "Yeah, yeah we know. Tackled to the ground. It was wildly funny and all of that."

She let her friend go and got a better look at her, "Bangs?" She questioned surprised, "When did THAT happen?"

Selina smiled at the Hufflepuff Captain after she finally let go of her hug with Kurumi and said, "It was decent Keefer, although not seeing Kurumi was torture. How about yourself?" She had a good sense of humor about her and Kurumi's friendship. Merlin knew most people did not understand their bond, then again she did not care what others thought. But Keefer seemed harmless.

Selina then turned to another Quidditch Captain, Slytherin to be precise, and nodded, "Same to you. Congrats on the Captainship by the way." It was going to be an interesting season for sure. Merlin knew Selina was going to bring her A game and she had a feeling these Captains would as well.

Selina snapped her head to the left when she heard Treyen speak to her. She smiled at him and said, "Hey yourself Treyen. Congrats on the badge." Heh that was kind of funny. The badger got the badge.

Then Selina looked to the new characters entering the compartment. She grinned at Vashiti, Eino, Ellie, Arya and Selena. It was nice to see them all and she felt kind of awkward being in the compartment with all of these student leaders but she was going to make herself feel comfortable. "Hey there. Congrats on the badge Eino, Selena and Vashiti. And well um hello Ellie and Arya..."

"Seriously? Ten years?! That's a long time." And highly unusual, he was guessing. Quidditch is, after all, a sport. Sport tends to be a guy thing. "Well then. I hope I can do our gender proud!" he said gallantly, placing a clenched fist over the badge on his chest in a gesture of pride.

Why is he so against the idea of Seek---? His thoughts trailed off as he noticed Treyen's glance over at Ellie. Clearly she wouldn't like some healthy competition. Ah well, struck out. I'll just have to find someone else. "Well, I've seen you fly, and I'd be hard-pressed to find six other players that would beat you out of a spot on the team. But if you won't Seek, Ill just have to try and find someone else for the job, eh?" he finished, clapping Treyen on the back.

"Excellent! I had a good holiday as well. Lots of planning and strategizing to do for the Pitch, of course." Yes, there had been many long, late nights scribbling up some plays. Noting her extended hand, he reached out an shook it. "Likewise, Vashti. And thank you! I'm thrilled to finally be getting back to Hogwarts so I can start forming up a team!"

Keefer returned Selina's smile. "That sounds good, except for that torture part, of course!" he joked, giving her a small wink. "My holiday was brilliant! Spent a lot of time preparing for the Quidditch season, of course. But my family raises Abraxans and we had several new foals to take care of, so that was rewarding as well." Not many people knew about the Abraxan ranch aspect of Keefer's life, but he loved it.

Selena smiled and stuck the sugar quill in her mouth. "Cool beans," she said nodding. Kimalia. That was a mouthful. To Sel at least. Maybe she could get away with calling the girl Kim or... Kimmie or something of that sort... it did have less syllables. "Where's the other Slytherin prefect?" she asked, looking around.

Maybe she should just ask louder? Like... shout it? Maybe then the prefect would hear and present himself. Selena did need to know who she was working with... and whether or not the dude liked sugar because if not there was no way the two of them would get along.



"I know yoooou!" Selena exclaimed, pulling her sugar quill out of her mouth and pointing it at the Ravenclaw. "You're the girl with the owl," Selena said, smiling and completely satisfied with her answer despite how many other students had owls. It really didn't narrow down much. "Thank you! Congratulations on..." Selena looked at the thing the girl was holding. Quidditch? Prefect? Head girl? Selena wasn't quite sure. "Your shiny badge thingy too!" Selena finished, nodding her head. Selena would totally stand and take a better look at the badge to see what the owl girl was but... Clarke was in her lap and Kent would fall off her head. Eh. She'd find out later anyways... later.



Selena beamed at the other girl who had welcomed her. "Thank you, Prefect!" she said. Because that was what the other girl was, right? Or was she head girl?! This confused Selena quite a bit. Which one was head girl so she could keep her own head on? Eh. Introductions should be made right? Of course. "I'm Selena," she said.



"Selina," Selena greeted with a slight smirk. She wasn't completely sure but she was still somewhat convinced the girl was a little alien... just like Selena was... just a bit. "Congratulations on the..." Selena glanced at the girl's badge, "Quidditch captain badge!" Selena finished, smiling from ear to ear. That definitely made things easier for her. Yup.

Productive? He wished he could say the same, and, in fact, he felt bad that he couldn't. Even though he did consider learning Bebobeanomancy productive, he didn't have much to add to his resume. He did learn a few things from Io, she was a very clever girl, but he doubted they were things he would find useful in a class setting. "Delightful, but moderately dull." Was the answer to the girl's question. "What class? If you don't mind me asking." He added in conclusion.


Eino gave Vashti a sharp nod in response. "Congratulations to you, too." He said without even asking her the same question. He more or less just believed everyone in the compartment held some sort of leadership position, so he didn't inquire, but maybe he should have. Nonetheless, after Vashti's head turned from corner to corner, greeting people, it came back to him. Or, at least, to what he was holding, the Bertie Bott Every Flavor Beans. He extended his hand to her and offered her some, giving the same brief explanation he had given to Ellie and Treyen. "Take one, while thinking of a question, and the bean will answer it." That was a far fetched idea, but Eino believed it anyway.

Kurumi giggled and waved her hand in a 'don't worry about it' manner. "It takes some time to get used to Selina's sense of humor." Which was a mild understatement, but it helped that her and Selina shared a brain.
Throw? Kurumi always thought that a throw required the use of one's arms and, well, Kurumi certainly hadn't used them during the whole apple incident. Really, it was Evelyn's fault that it had happened at all. Her glare and demand that she spit the apple out right then and there had caused her to act hastily. Still...and she hated to admit this...the look on the Head Girl's face at that time had been worth it.

But, the Quidditch captain had decided that their conversation was over and had turned away from Kurumi.

"Ira! Hell---" but then the younger Gryffindor left the compartment almost as quickly as she had appeared. "---o." She would have to go find her later and ask if she had indeed found the washroom.
Oh? Treyen had been to Disneyland too? Somehow, that both surprised her and didn't at the same time. Instead of responding, Kurumi simply nodded in agreement. Great, now THAT song was stuck in her head. It always did have a habit of doing that.

Kurumi leaned back in her seat a bit, thinking about the possibility of furthering her education. "I hope we have a proper Care of Magical Creatures professor this term, or...at least one that sticks around," she said with a small nod. "I've been wanting to ask about possible paths that I could take, but they always seem to go missing..." Maybe that evil man-eating plant was still at Hogwarts? She would have to ask Professor Bentley about that.

Speaking of Professor Bentley...Kurumi ought to go to the luggage compartment and check on the little potted plant she had with her. It was the same little plant that she had saved from greenhouse three last term and, well, it was growing at a rather alarming rate and acting rather...odd. Walnut hated it and had even peed on it once. That hadn't turned out well at all.
Kurumi shot Vashti another smile before returning her attention back to Selina. She probably should let her go now, yeah? Untangling herself, Kurumi laughed at Selina's nonchalant response to her comment. Did that mean Kurumi had won in a battle of wit? This was a first and she really ought to take a picture to remember the moment.

But, before she could ponder the thought for too long, Selina was staring at her - well, more her forehead than anything else - and with some sort of shocked expression on her face. "Oh...um....over the summer," she explained, pushing them down a bit more. "Jonathan's mother went a little overboard with giving me a make over..." Her hair...and her entire wardrobe for that matter. "Do you...not like it?" Because Selina's opinion mattered a lot.

She chuckled when he commneted on her mention of torture. Maybe she was being a tad extreme with the whole torture thing, but spending virtually two months without Kurumi was not her idea of fun. Sure, she had spent time with Violet and Christopher and she had even seen Gideon twice, but Kurumi was like her sister. Spending time without her was like not having the family all together. If that was a little dramatic... well yeah she was certain it was.

He went into his own holiday a bit and she nodded, "That's cool, I was doing pretty much the same. Minus the Abraxans. Is that what your family does for a living?" If it was then she knew two families with a certain profession involving magical creatures.

Selina returned Selena's smirk with one of her own. On a personal level she did like Selena quite a bit. Perhaps it had something to do with her name but that was getting too involved in specifics. Although she did distinctly remember the other time the two had met and the Selena with an "e" thought Selina was an alien. Was she weird? Yeah she would say that was a fair asumption, but she was no alien.

So when she congraduated Selina on her badge she smiled and said, "Thanks Selena. And the same to you for your badge. How have you been?"

Selina eyed Kurumi when she said that her sense of humor was something to get accustomed to. As much as that was true it didn't need to be advertised. Then again everyone was going to find out soon enough so might as well not beat around the bush. So she shrugged her shoulders and shook her head at Kurumi.

But now her eyes were fixated on the bangs on her friend's forehead. It was so different that she could not get her head wrapped around the whole new style. So when Kurumi asked her if she liked it she paused for a moment trying to find her words. What did she think of the bangs? Well, erm, "It looks really... great. You look great. You just look a lot older that's all... its a good look for you."

"Yes, we live on a ranch outside of Aberdeen up in Scotland. We have over 400 Abraxans right now with the new babies. It's a right pain trying to keep the local Muggles away. They think they're just horses, you see, so they're always coming to try and buy one to breed or have rides or something. Well, that's only if we forget the Muggle Repelling Charms one day." Like had happened yesterday, when he was busy packing and it slipped his mind. His mum wasn't too happy. "It takes a charm a day to keep the people happy. I'd like to branch out into a herd of thestrals someday, but I don't know if the Ministry would let us so close to a large population." But she probably didn't care this much, so he should probably shut up now.

Kimalia smiled back at everyone in approval. She wasn't entirely sure who else was newly badged other than her whole house so gave them a silent thanks for making her feel comfortable and not embarrass her out of the compartment. Score one for her!

"Delightful yet dull?" Wonder what he meant by that, but he already asked her another question. "Potions," before adding, "My father's been getting me into it." Yea, that was a good enough answer, Kimalia didn't feel the need to elaborate on her family situation. Nope, nope. "You have O.W.L's coming right? You feel up to it?" Though it was at Eino, she asked in a certain way where anyone else could answer if it was relevant to them.

Hot and sunny. As Summers tended to be. Though, Ellie couldn't imagine just how hot and sunny they could get down South. She'd only ever spent them in England. And..well, France, she supposed. But those were hot enough for her.



Eino seemed to have settled down to just...relaxing, maybe? So Gryffindor Selina stole Ellie's attention. "Hi," she greeted back. That was all, really.



Treyen received a sheepish smile of gratitude for taking the ruined flower. A sheepish smile-turned-grin when he kissed her and took her hand.

If her flower could be fixed, that would be AWESOME. Regardless of whether or not she had wanted to carry it around. What if Laci found her at the feast and asked about it, eh? How will she ever tell the already quite scary girl that she had KILLED her gift?

The conversation between him and his...new Captain, it seemed, caught her attention. And something Treyen had said made Ellie give him a LOOK. "But Treyennn," she fake!whined, "I still need to win against you." Get her revenge. From that one match. REMEMBER?

There was also a fake!pout, for effect.



And...Ellie must have missed a memo or something because she had no idea Vashti was Prefect. Yet, by the sounds of the greetings she was receiving, it seemed like even more than that.

Head girl?

"Vash!!!" Sorry, Treyen, but Ellie had to let go to squeeze her teammate, House Prefect, the HEAD GIRL. "Congratulations!!!" She was going to be EXCELLENT, Ellie KNEW it.

After releasing the HEAD GIRL, the Captain fell back into her seat, and retook her boyfriend's hand. Like nothing ever happened.

Except she had a large goofy grin on her face.



But Ellie's attention was once more stolen by Eino.

"Divination?" she asked cautiously. That was a subject that...she wasn't exactly on good terms with. Though, she really had no reason to dislike it anymore.

She still thought it a load of dragon dung.

And...Forgive the snorting, but, "Bebo-what?" Haha. Oh, Eino.

Nevertheless, because Eino was EINO, Ellie reached into the box as best she could, considering the proximity, closed her eyes, and withdrew a bean, question in mind.

He could do this. Yeah. He's talked to a group of strangers before. Kennedy mentally prepared himself and raised his head. The major reason he was hiding his face was because it was red from embarrassment.

His head turned toward the guy that presented himself as Treyen. "Yeah," he nodded, taking out his badge from his pocket for proof. "Slytherin Prefect." It made him feel like a police officer identifying himself, heh.

He set his trunk against the wall so no one would trip with it and made his way to Treyen and extended his hand to him. "Nice to meet you. I'm Kennedy." he said.

Kennedy's ears perked up when he heard his name. Oh, someone knew him here. He faced the person who had addressed him and grinned when he recognized the girl that was in bear hug at the moment. "Hey, Kurumi," he greeted.

... And someone else knew his name.

He turned to the girl who spoke to him and nodded. He was Kennedy and how did she know that? He was about to ask that when she answered it for him.

Oh.

Yeah, he should have known. His cheeks, which had cooled down, brighten up again at the mention of Aurora's name. "So she did," he said, with a soft chuckle. "You are?" he asked. It would be rude if he addressed the Slytherin Captain by "Hey".

Oooh! A pygmy puff!

That was the first thing that caught his attention. Then was the girl with the excited hello. She seemed familiar, but from where, eh? He raised his hand a gave a small wave. "Hi," he said. Well, this was odd. Everyone else had something to say except him.

New goal for the year. Be more talkative.

Kennedy glanced at the girl everyone was greeting as the Head Girl. It must be awesome to be the Head of the student body. "Hi, and congrats on the badge." The awesome badge. He grinned at her and sat down at a random spot.

"Potions is a wonderful subject!" Eino said enthusiastically as he leaned forward. He wrapped one arm around Ino's carrier and pulled it closer to his tummy before speaking. "I do admit I love brewing, boiling and bubbling, though it can lose its spark if it is all you do." Nonetheless, the girl was a Slytherin and her Head of House was the Potions Mistress so Lafay would be proud of her. Or not. He really couldn't read or understand Lafay very well.

The girl's next remark caused Eino to draw back to his original sitting position. The boy squinted his eyes, then tilted his head slightly to the left. "I do?" He spent a few moments staring at the girl in that position, resembling an owl. Then, he glanced over his shoulder and looked out the window, but saw no owls. Turning back, he looked at the girl intently before speaking. "Are you a Seer?" How would she know he had owls coming? Unless, of course, she owled him many times.



"Bebobeanomancy, the study of divination by the use of Bertie Borr's Every Flavor Beans." Eino explained once again, then watched as she took a bean from the box. "Show it to me." He put the box aside and looked at Ellie's bean. His cousin had been very thorough with Eino's Bebobeanomancy lessons and required extensive practice, so he was quite comfortable doing this without his notebook. Or, at least, he hoped that he wouldn't need to use it as reference.

"Yep," Nodding in agreement. Oh my, here she didn't even give her name to him. How silly of her. "I'm Kimalia, and way to go on being the new prefect by the way." Encouragement was good, she could kind of see how uncomfortable he is right now, leading her to signal an open palm towards the basket of sugar quills. "Go on, have a sugar quill."

Nodding as she listened to him talk about brewing, "That's true, what really attracts me is the calming sound of a potion bubbling." Yep, yep. Though her grades have been fairly decent already in the class, some extra work didn't hurt.

What happened next was a little concerning to Kimalia as she saw Eino start to squint and change his mannerism. Hmm, wonder what's up with that? So what did Kimalia do? Well, she proceeded to act like a mirror. Mimicking his movements at the same thing as he did. Whaat, Kimalia a seer? Blinking a few times whilst returning back to her previous sitting position.

"Mee?" Pointing towards herself."A seer?" How would one know they were a Seer anyway? And why would he respond with a question.. Maybe he was worried about Divination? "Well, Divination isn't one of my strong subjects to be frank.." Smiling brightly anyways, perhaps encouragement would be needed instead. "Well, I'm sure you'll get the exact results you want in the future!" Then asking, "Any plans for after Hogwarts yet?"

And why did she want a Care of Magical Creatures Professor for? Was she still considering dragons as part of her future? Or...creatures in general? It suited Kurumi just as much as it suited Arya, honestly.

"Perhaps you ought to ask them as soon as you see them." Instead of waiting for the perfect time or something like that. They were starting to have a tendency of not staying long enough.



Whaaaaat? No more 'Sir Treyen'. That kind of sucks. But at ;east Eino was calling him by his name, as he'd wanted a while back.

However, Eino's expression had him puzzled for a while, whatever he'd been thinking, his mind made a decision rather quickly.

Bott. Awww, Neptune! The sad expression was visible on his face as the memories of his second-favorite Ravenclaw girl, and Queen, made it to his mind. He had missed Neptune quite a lot last year. And now he was reminded of her by yet another Ravenclaw.

Treyen smiled, later on, as he listened to the rest Eino was saying. So, he called it Bebobeanomancy? But think of a question? He didn't know what to think of! He hadn't even known which seat to take until Kurumi came along! Yeah, so, anyway...he...thought of something and took one of those beans. A red-colored one was what he saw in his hand when he opened his eyes.

"How does it work?" Bebobeanomancy or whatever it was called.



There was a distraction from the beans, and he smiled as Kimalia spoke up. "I want to say that I hope you will...yet I kind of want Hufflepuff to win." A chuckle left him as soon as he finished his sentence.

Truthfully, he hoped she did well. If they were going to have competition, then it better be a good one, right?



His mind was bringing him back to the red bean when Vashti distracted him. He winked at her, yet he still wasn't used to the 'Head Boy' bit. It took him two years to get used to 'Prefect'. It wasn't as easy as one would think.

"Ready for this year?" because he wasn't, and he was going to need all the help Vashti could give him.

Oh, and the girl who stepped inside? He shrugged when he noticed she was looking at him. Honestly, it has happened before, but there was very little they could do help the kid unless she had stayed.



A nod and a smile. That's what Selina got. Besides the former greeting, that is. "Thanks." It was funny, because he had yet to wear his new badge.



Another diversion from the bean. It was very much welcomed, too. "I don't know for sure. But my sister was Captain over seven years ago." And there had been another girl after Aaron's sister was made Captain, so, really, all Treyen was doing was basic math. The Locker Room was the room to go to if one wanted to find out the exact timeline of all. With Captains coming and going he doubted Professor Vindictus would remember.

"You will. I'm certain of it." Mainly because of how great a player Keefer was. And how motivated her seemed. Heh.

Yeah, no, he won't be Seeking. Sorry for that, but it wasn't...entirely safe to do so. "Sorry, but I'm sure you'll have very talented players at tryouts." After all, some of last year's team players were returning.



And she listened to what he said. Of course she did.

He chuckled at her reaction. Yes, reaction, not the words she said. It was the most amusing, considering pouts rarely worked on him, especially fake ones. "Do you need that?" Seriously, she did? Because it hardly seemed fair that he'd make his whole team lose a game so she could be happy about winning.

But she'd win if they played against each other because she was better than him, anyway. He'd rather play any other position if he made the team.

At least Keefer knew he was trying out. Yes?

She...greeted Vashti and left his hand alone...that's when he realized just how much he loved having her next to him. One reason to dislike the feast. Then Ellie took his hand again, and the world was perfect, right?



Er, he didn't agree? Aslan was the cute one between all the pets he had. No relation to it being the only female one. So, Rufus couldn't hold that title. "No, I think Lexi had him doing all sorts of things and now he's just resting somehow...or he's waiting until Hogwarts comes to misbehave." In reality, Lexi had him during the years in which they were supposed to rebel the most. So, yeah, Treyen was lucky.

And so was Rufus.

What was that for? The flower? "Oh, some girl gave it to Ellie...," an odd girl that gave flowers away...and for reason he found himself speechless. What was there to explain? The flower had been given to Ellie, and she probably forgot it was still in her hand before hugging Eino...and it was now ruined, all broken, the poor flower. Ellie didn't even give the little thing a day to live. And he didn't mind, honestly, he was still getting rid of it, that's probably why he didn't ask Arya to fix it if she knew how.



Great. So, he was the Prefect chosen after Salander. Nice. "Congratulations." Most sincere congratulations, really.

Wait, what? The hand shake was completely optional and not at all necessary. It...took him a while to take hold of Kennedy's hand and shake it since that would mean...either let go of Ellie's hand or let go of the flower. That decision was easy. The flower. He placed it on his lap before shaking Kennedy's hand and then took it again. "Same." Slytherin wasn't going to be the same without Victoria, was it?
