Sigh.

Beezus looked at the door that leads to Professor Bentley's office. Merlin, she missed the Professor who taught her to love Herbology and plants in general. And that was why she was here. She wanted a small talk with the Herbology Professor and now the Gryffindor Head of House.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

She looked around and saw a wooden bench near the window. Things sure have changed over the summer.

Jezzabelle made her way down onto the ground carrying the two plants she had decided she would not be able to live without while away from home. When she arrived at Professor Bentley's office, which the location she figured out from a painting, someone else was already there, but she knocked again anyway for herself.

Knock Knock

She would have joined the girl on the bench but decided to remain standing and stare at her plants. She didn't know where to put them, plus she wanted to re-introduce herself because she was sent away by another Professor before the proper introductions were complete at the start of term feast.

Early in the morning, and half an hour before her first class, Louisa made her way down to professor Bentley's office with a colorful present in hand. The news that she was now the head of house for the LIONS didn't change the fact that this woman was by far Louisa's favorite adult. Roslund might take her place if the teacher made the wrong reaction about what was in the present box. Hopefully, Louisa's opinion would prove to be right and Bentley wouldn't pale or throw the presents in her face.

Even if they were... inappropriate to her post.

She knocked on the door after Beatrice and offered a small smile to the girl. Her wrapped present was carefully tucked under her arm.

Seren felt quite at home and at peace again, reunited with her greenhouses, gardens and of course her office. Staring at the clock she wondered how long she would ahve to wait before she received her first visitor of the term.

... and of course it wasn't very long at all.



Upon opening the door at the sound of knocking, Seren peered out over the threshold. Where was this person?

Only then did she realise Beatrice had taken to sitting on her bench. Frankly it was about time sombody used it... she hadn't known anybody to use it all her time at Hogwarts, and it was there the whole time.

"Beatrice dear, so good to see you, please come in, make yourself comfortable," she said motioning for the girl to step inside.

Seren gave a brief nod to the other students waiting at the door. It wouldn't be long.



Now that there was one down, there was still another to go. Jezzabelle, the poor lion cub that was shooed away at the feast. Hopefully that hadn't upset the girl too much.

"Jezzabelle right?" she asked still unsure if her memory was doing her justice.

"Please do come in. How can I help you today?"

Plants! the girl had plants! ... this was always a good sign.



Hearing another knock, Seren excitedly stood to answer it, shooing her slightly bigger 'puppy' out of the way.

"Good morning Louisa," she greeted as she peered at the Ravenclaw...

A Ravenclaw... this would no doubt be an interesting experience. "Please do come in, make yourself comfortable, what can I do for you today?"

Ari was nervous.The girl figured that she had no chance of impressing her new Head of House with her 'skills' in Herbology, so she might as well do her best otherwise. Starting with being polite.

KNOCK KNOCK.

Nice place, Ari noticed for herself, while patiently waiting to be invited inside.She glanced at the bouquet of flowers in her hand, hoping against all odds that Bentley would not ask her the name of those plants. Because she had no idea what they were called.

Alyssa walked up to the door of her Herbology Studies Professor, Professor Bentley. She was looking forward to attending her classes but for now she just wanted to say hello to the Professor. She checked to make sure that her shoes were clean and that the little basket she was holding in her hand was still intact and the contents all in one piece, before she knocked on the door.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Having made her way to her door, despite Caltex's efforts at hindering her ability to walk freely, and then the geraniums getting playful, Seren FINALLY opened the door.

She was instantly delighted to see a young lion on her doorstep.
"Hello dear," she greeted stepping back to allow the girl to enter, "..please com in and make yourself comfortable. Can I do anything for you today?"

She saw the flowers, but made no advances... even though she just LOVED flowers.



As always with the start of term upon them, Seren found herself answering her door for most of the day.

Wandering over, still in a cheery mood from her previous visitors, she pulled the door back on its hinges to see a familiar face.
"Alyssa, how are you? come in, come in," she welcomed.

Selina awoke the morning after the feast surprisingly early. The whole night before was a whirl so it was even more shocking that she was already dressed and ready and fed on her way down to the Greenhouses. Over the summer she had gotten a letter from Bentley that held her shiny red badge that she had quite literally freaked over all summer. In fact, when she had first gotten the post, she flooed to Diagon Alley in her pajamas and attacked Kurumi who tackled her best friend to the floor in excitement.

Now that she was back at school she had the opportunity to thank Bentley for believing in her enough to give her the badge. She knew that most people thought Selina was tempermental, loud and mostly obnoxious, but Bentley had given it to her in spite of all of that. And she could not even begin to express in words of how grateful she was, but Merlin she was going to try.

When she finally arrived she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Now she waited.

Since Nate didn't get to greet the herbology professor at the start of term feast, he decided to greet her now. He found her office. He saw a bench he could sit on after he knocked.

After he knocked on the door he went over to the bench and sat down until he got an answer.

Of course the first thing Presley did on her first full day back at home was go and visit her favourite professor. Word by now had gotten around, and Presley gathered that Professor Bentley had been made Gryffindor head of house. That should have bothered Presley. Should have felt like betrayal, as it apparently did for most of the other Ravenclaws who were close to her, but it didn't. Great, she was head of Gryffindor. That didn't mean that she would care any less for the Ravenclaws. Sure, she might be supporting Gryffindor in quidditch matches, but nothing was really going to change. So bright and early Presley knocked on the door to Bentley's office with a grin on her face. She really had missed this place, she was glad to be back.

Between feeding Caltex, and watering her beloved fanged geraniums, Seren heard a nocking at the door which almost made her jump.

Opening the door after a moments pause, she stared at her visitor. It was her Quidditch Captain! Brilliant.. because she was of course a huge quidditch fan. "Selina, I was hoping I'd see you soon, please come in, make yourself comfortable," she said abandoning her hand painted floral watering can.



The rush of student visits didn't seem to be slowing down any time soon, and Seren found herself constantly watching the door, ready to pounce on, and welcome any students that graced her office.

Opening the door for the... thousandth(?) time that day, Seren saw an unfamiliar face. New student perhaps?
"Hello dear, please come in, what can I do for you today?" she welcomed, gesturing for him to come in.



Doing a little dance to her door, side stepping Caltex as he slept on the rug, Seren opened the door to find one of her regulars... one of her favoruites.
"Presley! so good to see you, welcome back," she greeted standing back to allow the Ravenclaw to enter. At least Presley didn't look like she was about to cry or throw something at her. Improvement yes?

He had been a little quiet after the revelation of Bentley's new position. Gideon knew that...at least in his opinion. Sure he had congradulated her and been happy about it but maybe it deserved a proper not-surprise-following response. So it was for that reason, and just to visit the professor in general that the fifth year made his way to the greenhouses and the woman's office.

Once outside, he went to the door and knocked on it. A gentle movement but loud enough that it would be heard if Professor Bentley was indeed inside at the time. Gideon then slowly moved to take a seat on the bench outside the offie, not wanting to remaining standing and appear as if to be waiting too hard. Better to appear comfortable as he patiently waited for whatever response he was to get.

Hearing another knocking, slightly softer than some of the others, Seren made her way to the door and swung it open to reveal another one of her lions. How lovely.
"Gideon, good to see you, please come in," she greeted standing back to let him through.

"What can I do for you?"

Isabelle walked briskly to Professor Bentley's office. She was excited for Herbology, it was one of her favorite classes. Plus, she had to bring her the tulips she had brought from France. Izzy thought that Professor Bentley would enjoy the bright yellow, white, and pink tulips.

She had been about ready to settle down and work on some research papers when there was a knocking at her door. Oh thank Merlin! she thought. Because really, sitting, reading and writing did not agree with her.

Opening the door, Seren found a familiar Slytherin.
"Isabelle, come in, come in," she smiled brightly. "How were your holidays?" she asked stepping back to make room for the girl to enter.

Her eyes were temporarily drawn to the beautiful vase of flowers she was carrying. Where those for her? How sweet.

Adam had basically fast jogged to the Professor Bently's office after having the check up with Nurse Tillstorm. He wanted to inform her right off the bat, obviously, so that she knew how his condition turned out to be. She would be glad to hear that everything was on good terms.

Once he arrived by her office he knocked on the door awaiting for her to open it. It seemed as she were in the office with a student, but he didn't mind much since it looked like he could be next. He stood in spot for a while, an after his legs began to ache he decided to sit on the bench an waited quietly.

Sauntering over to answer her door--seeing as somebody had taken the time to knock, Seren pulled at the floral scarf around her neck in an attempt to untangle it. How it ever got tangled in the first place was beyond her.

"Ahh Adam, you're back," she said brightly as she opened the door to see her other Prefect. "Please come in, how are you feeling?" she asked, gesturing for him to take a seat.

Julien strolled up to the office door of another school Professor. After being able to get one of the Professor's to tell him a story (albeit poorly - there was no plot), he had gotten to wondering what he could ask others to do.

The one good thing about this whole thing was that, apparently, he had received correct instructions on how to get to this office.

Humming a tune, Julien knocked on the door.

Would she ever have a moments peace to mark the homework submissions?!... she certainly hoped not. Marking was easily the worst part of er job. Seren loathed marking...

Opening the door, Seren smiled out at the unfamiliar face that was responsible for knocking. Ahh well, he had been in her lesson, though she couldn't, for the life of her, remember his name.

"Hello dear, please come in, what can I do for you?"

Jezzabelle carried the newly potted rose bush right of to Professor Bentley's office. She had worked really hard on getting the plant properly re-potted and place a bright bow around the base of the pot. It was meant as a thank you gift for the Professor. Not wanting to be there when the door opened she set the plant down on the doorstep, the bright green and blue bow facing the door. She knocked three times

Knock. Knock. Knock.

and with one last wistful look at the silver, blue, red, and orange roses, she ran off leaving the plant behind.

Harvey knocked on the door of his Herbology professor and waited for her to answer the door.. he was not happy that he had not come earlier. But now he had made it his point to come see this professor whether he had the time or not.. but as always he didnt come empty handed.. he knew the professor would say the same thing as she did last year.. that he didnt have to bring her gifts at every visit.. but this gift was special and for her only..

Sophie skipped her way to Professor Bentley's office and stood in front of the door, knocking twice. She had her bag on her shoulder and decided to sit down to wait, with a big smile on her face.

Ira came to Professor Bentley's office. She was excited and had a little present for her wrapped in golden paper.

Carrying a pot covered in a paper bag, Kurumi walked in the direction of Professor Bentley's office door rather nervously. What had started as something amusing to watch had quickly turned frightening when Xavier, the plant in her hands right now, had ripped all the fur out of Walnut's tail. It was becoming more and more apparent that Kurumi couldn't keep him in the dormitory.

As she drew closer, Kurumi saw a figure in crimson robes running towards her...
...*blink blink* That had been Jezz, right?

Clutching the plant, Kurumi turned to follow the girl. Yeah...she was pretty sure that that had been Jezz...odd.

Kurumi now came up to Professor Bentley's door and noticed the potted plant of roses there. Had the younger lion left those there? She really should have stayed and given them to Professor Bentley. Shrugging slightly, Kurumi held the plant with one arm as she knocked on the door twice and waited.
