If you're aiming to be the first to Hogwarts, board the train at the front. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.
Melanie smiled, relieved to have found someone to help. "Yes, thank you, this compartment is just fine."
As the man took her trunk, Melanie turned to the girl she had just been introduced to.
"I'm Melanie," she said, not quite sure whether to hold out her hand or something, but opting to just smile. "It's my first year at Hogwarts too. Nice to meet you, Silvia."
Melanie had always been bad at small talk, but she figured she had to try or she'd never make new friends, so she added, "Has anyone else in your family gone to Hogwarts?"
“Both my parents went to Hogwarts, but I’m the first in my generation to go.”
Silvia paused for a moment and thought. She wasn’t always good at starting conversations. “So, why are you all alone today?” she asked. It seemed like a lot of students had come without their parents or guardians, or their parents had left them at the barrier, even in the case of some of the younger students.
It was indeed the north end of platform where Louisa would be waiting for the door of the Express to open. She was a fifth year student after all, that called for being first and before all those little kids running excitedly about. Not that she minded them that much, she just ignored most of them. Heh.
Viola, her tabby cat, was curled up near the wall the people came out of running and flushed face. The lazy cat opened her eyes casually from time to time to see if her fussy owner was too far or not. Licking a shoe or two while the girl gave her back to the cat.
Louisa made her backpack more comfortable on her shoulders and started tabbing her foot. This term was going to be intense with OWLs in, yet so exciting with her and Joao being closer, and of course heartbreaking for Dallin, Vashti and Ellie graduating at the end of it. The fifteen years old pushed that last thought away, for the tenth time today, and kept on a faint smile. Sad matters were for later.

"Same here, herbology sounds fun." he said smiling. "That's cool! Hmm...I'm really excited for Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, and Flying!" he said. "So, Jezz...what's your favorite color?" he asked.

" Thanks, Laura. " Justin smiled up at her. " So, you're in Ravenclaw aye? My best mate Harvey's a claw too. Though I'm sure you know Harvs. "
Justin noticed how Minnie's presence bothered her .... Or at least the fact that Min could calm him and she couldn't. He turned back toward Amethyst.
" Babe, please don't feel putout. Something is happening to us both that neither of us can begin to explain. What if he's gotten inside both of our heads? What if he's the one who is causing all of this? " Justin said with a very worried face as he held her close. He took her chin in his hand and brought her face to his. He took off the sunglasses and looked straight into her eyes. " We both have to be strong. We have to defeat him so that Mum and Kyle can find him.....So he can be dealt with for what he's done to all of us. " Then he kissed her lips softly and smiled as the kiss ended.
Justin watched as Minerva went to go rejoin Alyssa and Laura. Then turned back to his girlfriend.
'Harvey? Oh yeah..I met him..,' Laura said

She turned to check on the love birds they seemed better she rolled her eyes a bit. They were worse then a daytime soap lately. Her head was spinning about from her medicine so she pulled her legs back up and rested her head on them. "Is the freaking train here yet?"
Laura smiled. She wished she could be their friend as well.

Jez walked along the platform, pushing a trolley on which balanced her trunk and a nice big kitty carrier. The cat inside the kitty carrier seemed to be muttering. "Give it a rest, Ro," sighed Jez, prodding the carrier.
"Oh, it's alright for you," sniffed Rowena, putting her head closer to the bars of the carrier door to glare at her owner. "You get to sit on seats and walked around. I have to stay curled up in my carrier."
Jez rolled her eyes. "Sometimes I wish Than hadn't dropped you in that potion, it would have made my life much more bearable." She scanned the crowds, hoping to see her friends. She'd lost her siblings already in the crowd - no doubt Keegan was searching for her - and now she couldn't find Nate or Pam. "Great," mumbled Jez, putting up a hand to run it through her hair, and then remembered that she couldn't. Pam's mum had insisted that Jez get a haircut that summer, and had reminded her to wash it every week and brush it every day. Jez usually classed 'washing her hair' as running it under the tap and maybe rubbing in a bit of shampoo, but Sam had introduced her to a better way of doing it. Jez's past-waist-length black tangle had been cut back to her waist and de-matted, so now it was smooth and naturally straight. She looked a lot better than she had when Nate and Pam had tracked down her and her siblings in Diagon Alley.
"Jez!" Jez turned and spotted Keegan running towards her, looking relieved. "I didn't recognise you without your knotty hair!" he grinned, hugging her. "You okay?"
"Fine." Jez looked around again. "Where's Des? And Nate and Pam?" Keegan shrugged in response.

"Well," Melanie replied, "my mother is pretty pregnant and she's been having some trouble, so the doctor ordered her bed-rest and my step-father had to stay with her, of course." Melanie wasn't sure her mother would approve of her going into any more detail.
She looked toward the train and noticed that people were beginning to board.
"Perhaps we should get on the train. Wouldn't want to get on and not have a seat in the compartment with my stuff!" she joked, laughing lightly.

Leila saw Jezz talking to a boy, she decided to go and try and join in the conversation, "Hello..." she said, "I'm Leila, but you can call me Leia, what house are you wanting to be in?" she asked, most people had some idea of a house that they would like to be in, "I'm hoping for Gryffindor, but I'd be happy with any really." she said. "Hi Jezz!" she added.

Vlimia was wandering around the platform after saying her goodbyes to her family. Vlim had been at the station for quite a bit, saying the odd hello to some familiar faces. She didn't want to board the train just yet - Vlim had a feeling she should wait. Vlimia turned her trunk on it's side and sat down on it. While she was there, Vlimia contemplated the Hogwarts House dilemma; what if she got sorted into Ravenclaw? Vlim loved the sound of Ravenclaw and had met some very nice people who were in that house. BUT, her parents would absolutely die from embarrasment if she was a Ravvie. Of course, there was always the possibility of lying, but Vlim only had experience with kindly fibs. She had no idea what to do about it! Maybe Cardi would arrive soon - she was always good for a chat.

Vlimia looked up to see Cardigan! "Hey Cardi!" Vlim replied semi-excitedly, getting up off her trunk. "Yeah, let's go find a good compartment!" She agreed, lugging her trunk onto the train and into a compartment. After putting her magic trunk in the overhead storage, she opened her wallet, taking out a pack of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. "Want some gum?" Vlim offered, popping a peice in her own mouth. Vlimia was extremely excited, but outside she was calm. She had had plenty of time to freak out at home, but now she was all excited-out.

Glancing at a nearby clock, Silvia noticed that the departure time was fast approaching. "Yes, I guess we should get on," she said. She gave her parents one last hug before stepping towards the train door.
