Cardigan smiled.She loved Germany.And it`s food.Nom nom.She thought back to all the muggle foods she had had over the years in Germany.It was definately hard to decide which one was her favorite!Got it!,she said to herself in satisfaction as she rainsed her hand and said out loud,"I`m from Germany and I love Knödel which is like a Potato or Bread dumpling;it`s mostly used as a sidedish meat and stews."Ah.Hopefully there would be some here.It was de-lic-ious!

Shaking her head at Glenn about the drinks, Kurumi didn't drink carbonated things nor did she want coffee...just water...which the device that had been charmed to deliver drinks did not provide so she was sort of out of luck it seemed

Thankfully, class moved on, but it also earned another small groan from the prefect. 40 bites? Seriously? They had just had a dinner course lesson on manners and now they were eating again minus the manners? Granted, the Gryffindor had been in a terrible mood the entire week, her emotions had gone completely haywire since the Gryffindor table incident, and it was hard to see positives anywhere.

And a dish from where she was from? Kurumi hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to contribute or not. But, considering that most everyone here was from Europe, she might as well. Raising her hand, Kurumi kept her face neutral as she spoke. "I'm from Japan, and two of my favorite things are okonomiyaki and nabe." Still skeptical about all this, Kurumi left her suggestions at that and lowered her hand. Chances were all the research she had done last term for the prefect event was going to come into play.

Small frown still on her face, Kurumi caught someone looking at her from the next table over and saw that it was a smile belonging to Lewis. Smiling gently back at him, Kurumi didn't notice the slight blush that appeared on her cheeks.

Evelyn frowned when Lewis didn't shake her extended hand. Gosh, she looked so stupid. She could feel her face turn slightly red from the embarrassment. Honestly, why would anyone have to be so rude? Anyway, she turned to look at the professor, completely ignoring Lewis. Yeah. Evelyn didn't get annoyed very often but she was really irritated with the guy right now. PFFT.

Huh. Favorite food? Honestly, she didn't understand why they had to talk about food every class. Anyway, she raised her hand and said, "Professor, I'm from England and my favorite dish would be potato waffles." Heh. What did the professor mean when she said muggle food? Food is food, right? Wizards and muggles ate the same food so..anyway, it didn't really matter. She gave a small shrug and continued to drink her mocha.

Nate raised his hand and said "I'm from England, and one of my favorite foods that I grew up eating is fish and chips." Nate just absolutely loved fish and chips. It was his favorite food since he was just about 3. He grew up eating that as his lunch every other day.

Lily took a sip of her cocoa as she saw Violet enter the room. "Hey Violet. and sure there's room." Lily grabbed some of her stuff to move it out of the way a bit so that Violet would have some more space. As she finished moving her stuff, the professor began the class.



Lily looked up towards the professor as the class started. Ok... where we are from and a muggle dish from the area... Lily raised her hand to speak. "Well, I live in Ireland and I think I like cheesy cornbread the best." Slight Blush... Lily liked cornbread but she really liked it when it was over a hamburg stew thing...she didn't really know what it was called, so she just mentioned the cornbread.

As Avery was sat, bored, in class she kept her head down, her glossy brown hair falling over shoulder and covered half of her face. She looked over at the girl she had sat down next to at the start of class, who also had brown hair and who was looking slightly annoyed, but was looking straight ahead towards the Professor Avery thought that the girl had probably barely resisted the fact that she was sat next to her.

Across the table was a boy with dark hair, he looked quite cute and at one point she thought she saw his eyes flit towards her, so she ducked her head down and sipped on her hot chocolate, which she had got when she had arrived in the lesson.

She then looked up slowly and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear.

Pam thought for a moment. She was from the States, she knew that. But beyond that, she didn't really know where she was from. And she may never know. But that aside, she really enjoyed Mac and cheese. As simple and lame as it sounds, she really enjoyed it. Especially when it had lots of cheese in it. "Professor," She said as she raised her hand. "I'm from the States, and I love a simple mac and cheese."

Alex thought about her favorite dish from home. This was going to be a tough choice. She raised her hand and said, "I grew up in the United States, but I live in England now". "My favorite food is bread pudding."

Alyssa raised her hand and said,"Professor I'm from the United States too and my favorite American dish besides hot dogs which you mentioned is a Sloppy Joe Burger. You slap a cooked burger on a toasted bun and smother it with chili and onions and cheese. The more onions the better." Alyssa smiled starting to feel hungry all of a sudden.

Evelyn turned a little when she noticed a girl sitting next to her. "Hello." She couldn't remember meeting the girl before even though she was from Hufflepuff as well. Evelyn gave the girl a smile before she turned to look at the professor again.

Avery looked up at the sound of the girl's voice. She watched her smile, it was a very sweet and sincere one. "Uhm, hello." Avery replied, returning the smile and chuckling. The girl looked confused, probably because she was the 'new girl' and being in a hospital since year three, up until year six, really does affect peoples memory of you.

Zhenya felt a bit hurt about what Raven had said. Well, not so much that but... she wanted to help. Although if how she could help was by leaving Raven alone then she supposed that would be good enough.

She startes getting excited when the Professor started lesson! So she raised her hand and said "Professor I'm from Russia, and over there they have these really yummy things called Pirogi, which is a dumpling. They're really delicious, Professor, oh wow," she said, and her stomach grumbled. "My Babushka used to make them for us with Potato and Leek fillings!"

Angelina thought for a moment, what was her favorite food from back home? She had no idea. That was a problem. Raising her hand she said, "Professor I'm from England and I guess I like anything from there like crisp, chip, potatoes, anything reay." you can guess she just isn't picky with her food and she likes anything. Everytime she goes out to dinner she would get something different and something different every night for dinner at home so she knows to any different types of foods.

Evelyn listened with interest as many students talked about their favorite dishes from different parts of the world. Then, the girl spoke..

"I'm Evelyn Wellington." Evelyn introduced herself and extended her hand. Hopefully, this girl wouldn't ignore her hand like the guy sitting opposite her did.

Avery looked over at the girl, Evelyn Wellington and smiled warmly, taking Evelyn's hand and shaking it.

"I'm Avery Calley, it's nice to meet you. You are the first person I've met at Hogwarts." Avery admitted, she didn't really want to get onto the topic of her illness, but she was just really excited to have met someone after years of being stuck in a hospital room. So, if she were honest, she didn't mind if Evelyn asked about her.

"It's nice to meet you too. You can call me Eve though." Evelyn grinned. Heh. The first person she'd met? Was she new? But..even if she was new, she should have met people in classes and stuff..right? And..Evelyn couldn't remember seeing the girl in classes actually. Anyway, she kept quiet. It wasn't her business to ask the girl anything. Avery probably wouldn't like it.

"Okay" Avery said smiling, "Thanks Eve" she said, adding a little meaning behind it. She didn't want to tell Eve her past, but maybe if they got closer she would.

What did they usually eat when they were home? Well, honestly, Selina usually ate whatever her mother would put in front of her. She was not particularly picky, food was food and oh merlin was food delicious. Then a food that she was mostly accustomed to getting popped into her head along with a very british dessert that her Grams adored, "Well I'm from a small town just outside of London. As for my favorite foods? Easy,, Sunday Roast is delicious. And then I also like spotted dick, which is a custard that is only really served in the summer season because of the fruit."

Glad that Selina had decided to let Auggie sit with her at a table for the lesson, Auggie looked around at the flags hanging from the ceiling, noticing the Israel one immediately. It reminded him of the time 3 years ago when his father and mother had taken him there to visit for religious purposes--it had been a memorable trip.

Now Gideon joined them and their table was full of good people. It was a good way to spend a lesson. So the first question was for them to tell where they are from and what food they like. "Professor, I am from England as well and one of my favorite foods is mutton. My mom makes it with really good mashed potatos." he said with a nod, and a stomach growl.

Potato waffles?

"Excuse me do you mean Latkes?!" August said excitedly leaning forward to look at the Hufflepuff girl who had brought up the waffles. "Or they might be similar to Latkes. We, well Jewish families, eat those potato waffle type things during Hanakah." He smiled brightly, thinking of the past holiday about a month ago when he was able to go home and enjoy them with his family.

Violet was already enjoying the lesson as the professor introduced herself and the lesson. Trying out food in 40 bites? Violet laughed with the teacher. This was going to be very fun. Her stomach was already growling and her mouth watering at the different foods other students were mentioning. She raised her hand and introduced where she was from, "Hello everyone, I'm from Canada and one my favourite ones is poutine." She smiled at the thought of the dish. "It's basically french fries, or chips that call them, that covered in delicious gravy and cubes of cheese." Violet thought it was pretty cool to learn different cultures and what they ate.

Minerva put her hand up "Professor I'm from the U.S. and one of my favorite things to eat is a steak burrito from Chipolte." just thinking about it made Minerva hungry. "Oh and the chips on the side are great as well." she smiled.

"You're welcome, Avery. So, what year are you in?" Evelyn asked, curiously. The girl looked to be about her age or a year older.

Evelyn slightly turned to look at the guy who seemed a little excited at the mention of potato waffles. Latkes? Okay, the girl had no idea what he was talking about. When he continued to say that Jewish families ate it during Hanukkah, her eyes lit up in surprise. "Oh, wow. Really? That's fantastic." It was an interesting piece of information. "Do you like it?" She personally loved it.

Sky's hand shot into the air. "I'm from the U.S. and my favorite food is fried chicken. You dip the chicken in some batter then in bread crumbs with spices and, well, you fry it in oil." She didn't think she had to explain it, but did anyway, just in case her classmates didn't know what she was talking about. "Oh and it's usually served with mashed potatoes, another vegetable or beans and a biscuit." That's how her family ate it, anyway. Man, now she was hungry.
