Auggie looked at Kurumi, still chuckling. Why wasn't she laughing, did she not see the seriousness of this crazy magical sandwich?! It was so funny and yet she wasn't even tickled in the slightest instead she looked at him as if he was insane--which obviously meant she was!

"Don't you get it? I ate the sandwich and it made me realize just how funny this is." He continued to giggle, his hand covering his mouth like a little kid. The blank stare on Kurumi's face just made him titter even more.

As he watched the Prefect retrieve her fallen wand, he remembered that it wasn't the sandwich and instead was a spell that Kurumi had casted upon him from the big pink lady's class. The thought of the pink woman sent an unfortunate sea of laughter back upon the boy. "Wait! NO! I need to concentrate!" he yelled this aside outwardly instead of just keeping in.

He was supposed to do a spell on her too, this was a duel right? Wait, no they were just practicing. "Umm...Hah-GOO-Loose." He held his wand up as the purple haze came from it, pointed at Kurumi's chest, and more giggles at the weirdness of the incantation.

Nope. She didn't get it. She had obviously missed the punchline and finally made the connection that August hadn't lost his mind, but that her spell hadn't exactly done what it was intended to. He was supposed to be giddy, big smile, and light on his feet...not giggling

"Oh I'm sorry," she said with a slight flail. She really should reverse the spell, Finite should do it, right? However, just as Kurumi was about to point her wand at August again, he beat her to it and she found herself wrapped in purple mist that felt like thousands of feathers tickling her skin.

That had done it. Kurumi's facial expression brightened and a ridiculously huge smile appeared on her face as she too joined August in the giggling fit. "You know what is even FUNNIER?!" she chirped, bouncing up and down while pointing to something on the ground. "You shoe lace is untied!"

Just look at them there, flapping in the soft spring breeze like a pair of bunny ears on a lop-eared rabbit. HILARIOUS.

Alyssa entered the sanctuary glad to see that the creatures were back here. The weather was warming up again and it was time for her to help clean up the sanctuary again. Alyssa went over to the shed and pulled out the wheelbarrow and a shovel. Time to pick up the poop and there was plenty of it around again. Pushing her wheelbarrow, Alyssa walked over to the first pile of poop and scooped it up with the shovel. She emptied the contents of the shovel into the wheelbarrow before walking over to the next pile of poop and shoveled that up before emptying it into the wheelbarrow.

She worked her way around one area of the sanctuary shovelling up the piles of poop as she came across a pile. Once the wheelbarrow was full, Alyssa picked up it's handles and pushed the wheelbarrow over to the pile of manure that was lying at the other end of the sanctuary and tipped the wheelbarrow over, adding the contents of the wheelbarrow onto the pile. Once she had emptied the wheelbarrow, she pushed it to another section of the sanctuary and proceeded to scoop up the piles of poop there. She worked picking up the manure until the wheelbarrow was full again. Picking up the handles, she quickly wheeled the wheelbarrow back to the pile of manure and tilted it's contents adding it to the pile.

Alyssa was about to push her empty wheelbarrow back to another area of the sanctuary before she looked at her watch and realized that she had to be back in the castle to finish up on her homework assignment. She wheeled the wheelbarrow back to the shed and taking out her wand, she pointed it first at the wheelbarrow and then the shovel, saying "Scourgify" to clean both of them. Once both the wheelbarrow and the shovel were cleaned, Alyssa placed both back into the shed before closing the door and making her way out of the Sanctuary and back to the castle.

The breif moment of clarity and seriouness present on August's face were gone as soon as the spell was cast and he saw the purple smoke circling Kurumi. A few more giggles erupted.

Then before he was able to comment on the hilarity of the fact that they had just been sitting on a tree that had stupidly fallen over (the log), Kurumi brought to his attention a gross mistake on his shoes' part. It was untied.

"Are you kidding?! Look at it!" He started laughing too leaning over on her shoulder, to keep from falling over from laughter.

This spell was awesome. They needed to do this more oft-- "Kurumi look there is POO EVERYWHERE!!!" His shouting and jumping up and down was matched with bouts of laughter as he pointed at all the dung littering the place.

As much as the red head, Hufflepuff hated the idea of breeding pygmy puffs or this case puffskiens she was still here and for one reason only. Curiousity! She was a curious little one alright, and when she wanted to know about something she always knew to do her research to find out more.

Entering the sanctuary area on her own, Renesmee walked slowly and examined the open area with her eyes. She loved that it was all outdoors it made everything so much more adventurous and exciting. This place was rather beautiful and Nessie admired all the creautures and her surroundings. She had spotted a few fairies around a tree near by and her eyes were fixed to them and all their interesting colors. They were so unique and esquisite. After a few moments of watching them, she blinked her eyes twice and continued walking.

Looking around she tried to look for the puffskeins enclosure, but she couldn't see them anywhere. So instead she walked around a bit more pretending to look at the other creatures hoping someone would come help her soon.

Lewis had been sitting on the ground in front of the Puffskein enclosure for like 4 hours now, just staring blankly inside, waiting for something to happen. Only it didn't. Had he missed the mating season? But it was still May, wasn't it? Which meant still spring, right? Huh. Actually he wasn't here because he wanted to observe them during their mating but rather because he wanted to know who was female and who was male.

And then he was going to make a list. For future reference.

He'd even brought his textbooks and notes so he could do some revising for OWLs and finals but had found it rather difficult to concentrate. So back to staring at the little balls of fur again. Hearing somebody shuffling around the sanctuary pretty close to where he was sitting, Lewis looked back up and found himself staring at..."Nessie?" She had her back turned to him so he couldn't be sure but he was pretty certain it was the younger Hufflepuff.

Perfect. His CoMC partner!

Wait was that..was that Lewis? Ness stared at a boy sitting on he's own by what finally seemed to be the puffskein enclosure. She examined the boy more carefully and as soon as her eyes confirmed that it was him she turned around and began heading the other way. It would be waaaay to weird for to go watch the puffskeins now. She didn't really want to do it with him watching, she was afraid he'd make her feel all awkward like he had in the lesson.

He hadn't seen her right? ...Oops he had. Yaaaayy!

At the sound of her name, the little red head badger hesitated and stood still. She honestly didn't want to turn, but she felt like she sort of still owed him. Then the thinking pout formed on her lips and after a few seconds, she had made up her mind. It was only fair. So she turned around and put a small little smile on her face. "Erm...Lewis!" she said trying to sound enthusiastic but over doing it. "What a surprize!" Not really. But she said it nonetheless.

It was obvious why he was here. He was obbsessed with those puffskeins, the pygmy puffs too and the little red head found it just a tiiiiny bit strange. "So um..what you doing here?" she asked pretending not to know.

Kurumi just couldn't keep her eyes off his shoe lace. Look at it. Just flopping there and not in a bow. How silly of it to think that that looked better. It was almost as comical as troll learning ballet. Which sent the Gryffindor off in another fit of giggles.

She was actually having a hard time breathing...which was HILARIOUS.

She ceased her laughter for just a moment when August shouted about something and cocked her head to the side. Wait. Pooh? "Have I ever told you that I LOVE the color yellow because it is the color of POOH?!" she shouted back, flailing her arms a bit. Pooh as in Winnie the Pooh that is.

Truth was there was another reason for liking yellow, but that, unfortunately, was so far removed from her mind right now.

Bouncing in unison with August, she began to hop forward like a rabbit when her foot landed in some of the non-yellow poo and she slipped, flipping over backwards and landing in a water trough behind her.

What?!

Auggie was so confused now. "Kurumi...poo's not yellow." he said holding back more laughter. She was so wrong. Then his efforts to hold it back were lost when he wondered what on earth was wrong with her to think that yellow poo was normal. Too weird.

Before he was able to get anything out of her or suggest a trip to the Hospital Wing, the Gryffindor Prefect had lost her balance somehow and was toppling over. She must have stepped in poo.

....

"Youshouldseeyourface!!" He shouted, so rudedly, out-of-characer and quickly due to the cheering charm. He then fell over in the grass, rolling in giggles.

Coooooooooooooooooooome on! August was raised in the non-magical world, wasn't he? He SHOULD know who Pooh was and it was very VERY clear that he was yellow.

"Yes he is!" she chirped back, flailing her arms some more. "He is yellow and --- WAAAAAAAAAH!"

She couldn't finish her sentence she was practically swimming in water that also contained animal drool. Bangs plastered to her forehead, Kurumi pulled them back to see August rolling around in the grass. The water must have put a temporary pause on the effects of the spell, because Kurumi was very much aware that this was not natural and she was no longer giggling.

"August...LOOK OUT!" He needed to stop rolling...NOW! "Finite Incantatem!"

The girl's persisting that pooh was yellow, meaning the actual cartoon character not the animal feces that lined the Magical Creatures Sanctuary, was wasted on August as the spell continued to warped his personality into one of a 4 year old. The giggling was probably worse.

Continuing to roll around, the Gryffindor did not see the wand now pointed at him and was hit with the spell to take the effects from the previous one off.

"Umm...what happened?" August had stopped rolling and laughing and was now just laying on his back, on the dirty outside animal living-space floor. He then realized that their spells must have gone wrong...which meant Kurumi was still under his.

"Finite Incantatem." he jabbed his wand at her where she lay in the water trough, hoping it worked. But before he waited for that he reached for her hand to help her out.

Once August had removed the effects of the spell, which had already partially been dulled by the jolt she got from falling into the water, Kurumi twisted her pony tail to try and get some of the water out of it. She probably should also get out of the trough as well...the creatures certainly were not appreciating it.

However, when she saw his hand reached out for hers, she couldn't help herself and as took it to pull herself out of it, she also gave a strong tug to pull him into it. Ha! That is what he got for laughing at her even if it had been because of the spell.

Kurumi pushed herself out of the slightly unsanitary water and turned around to face him. They really shouldn't be partners for this sort of thing. They were always a mild disaster. Brilliant mild disasters, but still disasters. "I think we just learned what happens when a Cheering Charm goes wrong."

Whaaaa?!

Just a second before August had released Kurumi from the hold of the botched Cheering Charm and then helping pull her out of a ditry water, animal trough. Now he found himself tumbling forward into the thing himself.

Splashes ensued and the fourth year was now completely drench. "Pftttt!!!" Auggie blew the water from off of his lips and pushed his wet mess of hair from his face. "Kurumi! That's NOT funny!" He thought the spell was over, why was she still acting like this. This he realized, he had laughed at her. All's fair it seemed.

"I guess so, huh?" He stepped out of the trough, both of their clothes dripping wet. "Now should we dry off and see if we can get that spell right?"

The fact that she didn't turn around right away made him go back to chewing on his lower lip a little nervously. What if it WASN'T her? Well, he could just pretend he'd been...talking to one of the Puffskeins. Which was probably just as weird but not as weird as him yelling other people's names at random people.

Oh but it DID turn out to be her, after all. Phew. "Hi." Lewis replied with a small wave for the younger Hufflepuff, hurrying to return her smile. Wow, she seemed happy to see him for some reason. And a surprise? "Is it?" Why was it such a surprise to see him in the Magical Creatures sanctuary? Or did she just mean that it was a surprise that they were both here at the same time? Probably that. Though he still didn't think that was SO surprising.

What was he doing? "Uhm, just you know...observing the Puffskeins. It's spring you know." In case she didn't know it was. His green eyes went back to looking at a couple of the little furballs which had sort of cozied up to each other before focusing them back on Nessie. "Not much is happening though." So no progress on his research. "What about you?" Because while he hated to admit it, he could use some company here.

Gahhh, this was already weird, but Nessie just kept her smile going as Lewis seemed to be smiling now too. How were people like Lewis always so cheerful? Ness really wanted to know, maybe her life was too complicated. She still tried to stay as positive as she could.

Was it a surprize? Nooope not at all, but just because she felt like it she continued pretending it was. "Yeah, well I think so...not many people um come here to erm.. to" She hesitated not sure how to finish what she wanted to say. "..to erm.. to do whateveryourdoing." She finished off a little rushed. Thats what she tended to do when she wasn't thinking. Words would just blurp out of her mouth and most of the time they were either highly humliating or quite rude. Maybe it was better if she just kept her mouth shut most of the time, which was why she did what she did. Lifting her hand to her mouth she acted as if she was holding an invincible key. She then pretended to lock her lips and throw the key away.

No more talking for her, only sign language.

Nodding her head some more she looked over at the puffskeins, Lewis was observing. They looked pretty boring to be honest, but this boy was strange according to Nessie and obviously he liked strange things. She then gave him a thumbs up as if to say yes. As how to answer what she was doing. She just shrugged her shoulders at him. He'd understand that the shrugging meant 'not much' right? Because thats what she was trying to say. She then walked over a little closer and took a seat next to him, hoping he wouldn't mind. She was just curious as to why he though these puffskeins were so facinating.

Okay, so Kurumi had been a little mean to August, but wasn't that what having a sibling was for? Her brothers were always teasing her, so she really was just following their example.

"Right," she nodded, removing her wand from her robes, Kurumi waved it in front of August to cast a Hot Air Charm and dry him off before doing the same to herself. It wasn't perfect, but at least their clothing was not damp and neither one would catch a cold and land in the hospital wing. Somewhere Kurumi really did not wish to visit ever again, thank you.

"You want to go first this time?" she asked. Hopefully she wouldn't start laughing about a chicken sandwich like he had. Just a ridiculously wide grin and feeling like on her feet was the goal, right?

"Thanks." August stood with his arms and legs spread apart as Kurumi's spell swept warm air over him, drying him most off. His hair was still gross now. Oh well. He would shower when he got back to the Castle. Now that they were sort of clean, they should get back to work.

Did he want to go first this time? Yeah. "Sure. Stand still." The fourth year said as he pulled out his wand. It wasn't like she was going to run off but still. "Hah-GOO-Loose."

The Gryffindor waited with bated breath, hoping that the spell worked this time.

Kurumi was sort of tempted to flail her arms or something, just to tease August a bit more. She didn't end up doing so. Dunking him in animal drool had been enough for at least the rest of the week. So, standing still like a statue it was.

The color of the smoke that came from August's wand this time was a much richer violet color - which had to be a good thing, right? She continued to stand very still as it wrapped around her and seemed to pick her right off the ground. She felt lighter and...giddy? She hadn't felt giddy in a long time, so it was sort of hard to tell. No matter what it was, it felt pleasant and Kurumi was smiling ear to ear and NOT giggling like a hyena on Tuesday.

"I think it woooooooooorked," she said in a sing-song voice. Now it was his turn, yes? "Your turn! Hah-GOO-Loose."

This whole assignment was a bit bonkers if you asked August but that might just still be from his slight bitterness of falling into the trough. Before he could pout any longer though, the spell he had casted on Kurumi for a second time seemed to have worked. The girl was beaming and looked positively giddy.

"You feel ok?" he asked as she also commented on the fact it seemed right this time. It was nice to see her smiling bigger than she had been recently with all of her mom stuff.

His turn? August pointed at his chest and closed his eyes as he waited for the spell to hit him. The incantation and then....Wow that really did make him feel better. He opened his eyes wide and then smiled brightly. "Woah, its such a beautiful day isn't it?"

"Should we do the spell on that awesome Augurey over there?!" he chirped excitedly.

"I feel FABULOUS!" Kurumi chirped, raising her hands high into the air. Even if it was a forced cheerfulness from a spell, a momentary dulling of everything else that was going on, at least she had this moment right now to feel like nothing was wrong with the world when the reality was that everything was wrong with it. "Thank you for asking!"

Seeing August join her on Cloud 9, or wherever it was that they were, she glided over towards him and grabbed his hand. It really WAS a beautiful day. "That sounds like a FABULOUS idea," she chirped, leading the way over towards the gloom looking bird. Honestly, what did it have to be so glum about? Just because its nest was tear shaped did not mean that it had to be crying all the time, right?

OF COURSE NOT!

"So...together then? I think this guy is going to need both our POSITIVE energies to make him feel better." Two lions in the sanctuary were better than three in the bush, or something. "1...2...3! Hah-GOO-Loose!"

D'awww Kurumi was happy that he was happy! That made him absolutely...happy.

"Oh it was really nothing at all!" He said taking her hand and pretending it was no problem. The spell had done it all. The Gryffindor was fully prepared to go on about the weather and the lovely animal sanctuary Professor Williamson had set up for them but he was now being pulled over to the glum looking Augurey.

Poor thing.

"Oh that will be awesome! The guy looks like he needs his frown turned upside down! Hah-GOO-Loose!" Still holding her hand, August cast the spell with her, in unison.

The violet spoke wrapped around the creature and there really wasn't much of a change in the thing's appearance or emotions. The thing just sort of looked up at them and made eye contact. It moved at least.

Kurumi watched as the loveliest of shades of violet smoke wrap around the creature and she felt her insides bubble. Violet really was a lovely color. It was even the color of her eyes which, for some reason, she was rather proud of right now.

"August! Look! Did you see that! It moved! We did it! It is cheered up and HAPPY!" Because clearly the slight movement from the neck that the Irish Phoenix had made towards them to make eye contact with them meant this. Obviously. "We should go tell Professor Williamson! I bet he is in the Great Hall right now having lunch!"

With that, Kurumi began to skip off hand in hand with August - avoiding any sort of poop that there may have been on the ground - and out of the sanctuary.
