~*Introducing the Muggle Studies Magic Free Fun Zone!!!*~
Across from the Muggle Studies classroom, an older door hides a new surprise set up by Professor Cerulean to further introduce and immerse students in some more of the fun aspects of Muggle Life.
SPOILER!!: Door
When the door is open, you will step into a room that has been charmed to match the theme of the room. Inside this room, no student is allowed to use magic. It is a completely Magic Free Fun Zone, well except for the magic and charms used to put it all together by the Professor.
Every few months (few weeks OOC), the theme of the room will change to something else. During this time, you can RP taking part in those activities.

The second theme of the year will be:

When you enter the Magic Free Fun Zone room, your eyes are drawn to a pile of games in the center of the room. It is huge and looks like it is going to topple over any second, but it has been charmed to not fall. Around the game table, are little areas set up for you to play the game of your choice.
Each area has a short table in the center. Circling each little table are bean bags of all colors, shapes, and sizes.
Along one of the walls is a table of Muggle refreshments and goodies.
There are Muggle sodas in cans iced down in a large tin bowl. Beside the tin bowl, you can find a popcorn bar. There are six bowls of different flavors of popcorn. The flavors include chocolate covered, caramel covered, normal, extra buttery, cherry, and grape. Beside the bowls, are little sprinklers of other flavors to sprinkle on top of your popcorn. There's Cinnamon, Salt, Seasoning Salt, various Kool-aid flavors, Sugar, Powdered Sugar, and Garlic Salt. Grab a bowl and create a fun popcorn creation! This table has been charmed to refill everything automatically after you grab things of your choice. Your refills are endless but don't eat too much.

* Candyland
* Shoots n Ladders
* Scrabble
Please grab some refreshments and then grab a game and camp out with some friends and have fun RPing the games. Have fun!!!
This area will be open through Friday, March 2!
NOTE: This is not a snogging/makeout room. Remember that Professor Cerulean will be dropping in throughout the days so keep in mind that you are always being watched. Feel free to RP yourself grabbing goodies and playing games and talking and such. Have fun with this!

Violet was already confused when the boy explained the game to her, but she tried her best to go along with him. She nodded at him to let him know she sort of understood. "Sounds like fun!" She sat down quickly and inspected the board. Indeed there were man stop signs marked with red, but overall the game did not look to hard to follow. "So I just have to spin the spinner to move my piece right? Sounds pretty easy." She smiled at the guy and pushed the moving pieces to him. "How about you go first, and I'll watch how you do it."

Well you'll catch up again."She tried to keep a straight face as she spun the arrow quickly. "Come On....I need just 1...give me 1....Shoot!! 5. A 1 would have brought me up to 67 but I'll take 54. It's definitely better than 24."Alyssa quickly hid her smile as she moved her marker forward.
Muggle Studies was truth be told definitely NOT one of his strongest subjects. And not because of lack of trying. There were just so many people related to Muggles in this class who were just...well, better than him. Obviously. Magic Free Fun Zone. Interesting. Lewis glanced around the room once he'd walked through the door, his eyes falling on a couple of groups already busy playing some rather weird looking games. Weird in a good way. In Lewis eyes weird could be both good or bad.
Running his hands over the boxes which contained the games, he read the titles, wondering how they'd work. He wasn't too keen on joining any of the present groups to be honest. Would there be a game he could play by himself?

Pam pam pam… what else was there? Monopoly… Twister… Scrabble…, they all sounded totally unfamiliar to her.
So a game of twister eh? Oliver always liked playing party games and Twister was one of his favourites. He sauntered down to the first floor where Gemma hung out and found the place that she had directed him to easily enough and slipped quietly inside the door.
There were already a few students there and he nodded his head at them in way of greeting. Now where was his Twister partner?

Turning back at Lewis in time to listen to his suggestion, the young Ravenclaw nodded. ‘All right’ They could do that. ‘Then I guess we should stretch the mat?’, Gwendolyn said.

She said hello to a couple of groups of students as she entered but she was instantly distracted as she saw a familiar face. Without knowing it, her hand went up to check her hair and she hoped that she looked alright...why hadn't she checked before she left her office. She let out a little huff of air and then headed towards him with a smile on her face...she had really thought he wouldn't show up...
She walked up and instantly felt awkward...did she shake his hand or hug him or...she decided to just keep it simple. She smiled at him and said, "Hey stranger, long time no see or talk..." she said holding her hand out and grabbing his arm playfully. "But I'm glad to see you got my invitation and that you decided to stop in..." she said excitedly.
She glanced around the room and found an empty spot..."Are you ready to get shown up?" she said with a little wink. She headed towards the table of games and grabbed a Twister box and then headed towards the blank area towards the back of the classroom..she knew that maybe being in the back wouldn't draw as much attention to them from the students...o no the students...not awkward at all.. She turned back towards him and held up her pointer finger motioning him over sweetly.

Lewis asked, genuinely curious, a small smile on his lips. And WHERE was the cat now?
Lewis reached for the box and opened it to take out the spinner-thing. Right. "Uh-huh." Only half-paying attention to what Gwen was saying, he just nodded and then started walking off to a free spot in one of the corners of the room. His eyes were locked on the spinner and he kept on spinning it with his finger. "We can probably-" Once he'd reached the corner he stopped, and trailed off seeing as Gwen probably couldn't hear him over here.
Waving at her from across the room, Lewis repeated what he had been about to say. "We can probably still spin this ourselves, don't you think?" He held up the spinner for emphasis.
Gemma wondered into the room to check on the students and to see if a certain someone had received her invitation. He was so going to kick her butt.

Maybe it was because of her cat. Maybe the spell didn’t work on animals… hmm… slim chances. After a short pause of thinking, the third year remained silent, with her hand on her forehead. ‘Could it have been because of the floor… perhaps it was some sort of mirror effect?’
Oh, anyway. It was a mistake. JUST a tiny mistake! Looking back at Lewis, the young Ravenclaw raised her eyebrows. It would be, in fact, quite unlikely to spin it with no hands, as soon as the game starts.‘Fine’, she said calmly. He’ll see for himself why it won’t work. Though- maybe he had some sort of idea. Hmm.
‘I guess we could start?’, she smirked as she positioned herself at one end of the mat, glimpsing at the circles. Right. One foot on the yellow… and the other on the blue circle. There. She was ready to start. Somehow, Gwen hoped she wouldn’t get as competitive as always. Right. She’d try to control herself.

"Well I'm glad you wouldn't miss a chance for me to beat you..." she said cocking one eyebrow up slightly and then flicking her wrist. Her wand shot out of it's wrist holster and she was just fixing to flick it to put her hair up when she remembered it was a magic free zone...yes she had to follow the rules as well. She put her wand away and as she walked she pulled her long brown hair up into a high ponytail.
"I hope you brought your a game and stretched before you got here...I'm pretty good at Twister..." she said as she stopped at the empty spot and started laying out the Twister mat...."O an expert...ehhh..." she said sarcastically as she sat down on the floor and slipped her tennis shoes off. "So is there really anything that you aren't an expert at..." she said with a little wink.
Glancing out at the board laid out, she smiled up at handsome face, "Okay, O, so since it's a Magic Free Zone, that means we'll have to take turns spinning the spinner....I hope you can balance while spinning..." she said mischievously..."Let's start on opposite sides..." she said stepping to the far corner of the tarp still holding the spinner, "But let's make it a little interesting as we play...let's say before you spin you have to ask the other person a question..."
Oh she was a feisty little thing, wasn't she? Oliver didn't know whether she could beat him or not but maybe letting her win could actually work in his favour. "Now, now Gemma, don't be getting ahead of yourself." He laughed as he watched her set the game up. She probably was going to show him up anyway, he hadn't played Twister in years.
Merlin! She was taking this very seriously. Stretching? "Well I am a little rusty but knowing that you're here to help me out if anything should happen..." He gave her another wink. Thinking about it, he decided not to bother with the stretching. Following suit, Oliver sat down on the floor and removed his own shoes. "Cooking." he said seriously. "I can't cook to save my life." That's why he always chose to live in the city, so that he was nice and close to restaurants and because he also like the night life.
"I'll just have to hold onto you if I can't." he said, waggling his eyebrows at her. Right. Questions. He supposed he could do that. "Ladies first..."

Gemma glanced up at him when he mentioned cooking...she couldn't help but let a little giggle slip out...yes that was something she could see him not being good at, "hmmm...cooking...heh...well maybe someday I'll have to give you some lessons...just call me Chef Cerulean..." she said shrugging her left shoulder...and then a thought hit her...surely he wasn't completely useless..."Honeslty, how bad at cooking are you...are you the kind of guy that can't do anything or do you atleast know how to pop popcorn in a microwave or make a grilled cheese sandwich..." surely he would understand all the Muggle words in that statement...he had seemed such a outside of the box kind of wizard.
"Hold onto me...well, that sounds promising.." she said with a genuine smile...o he was good..."Ladies first...what a gentleman..." she said half way sarcastic and half way joking...
She took her spot across the mat from him and laid the spinner in between them. She leaned down and flicked the spinner...it spun pretty quickly and landed on Green Right Foot. She smiled up at him and stated the obvious, "Green Right Foot!" She glanced down at the mat and spotted her dot that she going to go for...it was a little closer to his side of the mat but that was okay. "So, before I go for my dot, let's do the first question..." so here goes this might be a dozy...but she just had to know..."Single or Taken?" she said...yep she was to the point....
As she heard Lewis’ reaction, she started laughing. ‘Yes. Yes,I have a cat’, Gwendolyn nodded. Hmm. Now- what had happened? She was in the girl’s bathroom… and her bestie came to be there if something was wrong and point it out. Gwen knew Ariadne wouldn’t have missed the chance of mocking her. Not ever. ‘Well… I’m not sure. I know I said the incantation right… and the wand movement was definitely correct’, she admitted. And there was no way she could have messed it up. Maybe it was because of her cat. Maybe the spell didn’t work on animals… hmm… slim chances. After a short pause of thinking, the third year remained silent, with her hand on her forehead. ‘Could it have been because of the floor… perhaps it was some sort of mirror effect?’
Oh, anyway. It was a mistake. JUST a tiny mistake! Looking back at Lewis, the young Ravenclaw raised her eyebrows. It would be, in fact, quite unlikely to spin it with no hands, as soon as the game starts.‘Fine’, she said calmly. He’ll see for himself why it won’t work. Though- maybe he had some sort of idea. Hmm.
‘I guess we could start?’, she smirked as she positioned herself at one end of the mat, glimpsing at the circles. Right. One foot on the yellow… and the other on the blue circle. There. She was ready to start. Somehow, Gwen hoped she wouldn’t get as competitive as always. Right. She’d try to control herself.
And there she was, laughing again without him knowing why. Somehow this seemed to be a must with them. "That's cool. I do too." Lewis replied with a happy smile. He liked people who owned cats. They were nice. Just like Hufflepuffs. Heh. But back to her trying to change her cat's color. "I don't know what went wrong." He admitted with a shrug, watching her as she put her hand up on her forehead, clearly a little frustrated. "Is the cat alright?" He added softly, frowning a little as he only now realized that he didn't HOW the spell had gone wrong.

As she glimpsed at the mat, Gwen realized only now how terrible she was with holding her balance, even on plane surface. Somehow, it reminded her of her first year at Hogwarts, when she joined everyone on that pirate ship. Right. If only she could have tried being less clumsy… Meh, never mind that, I’m still going to win. But…‘What do you have to do to win at this game?’, she asked with a smirk. Just wondering…
Meh. He simply picked a red circle. ‘This doesn’t seem so hard…’, she tried to convince herself. Right. The spinner. Left foot. Blue.‘But it’s already on a blue circle…’Oh well… guess I’ll have to simply pick another one. Probably. ‘Your turn’, she gestured then towards the spinner.

"Sounds good. Not sure I'll be able to pay attention though...with you as my teacher." Yes he was being flirtacious but also honest. Oliver tended to get distracted when pretty women were around. Her question made him pause for a moment. "To be honest, I don't know if I'm bad or not. I've never actually cooked anything." There had been no need to. His mother cooked for him when he was a kid and then when he ventured out on his own, well he either ate out or his girlfriend at the time would cook for him.
Oliver gave her a playful smile. "I was hoping it would." Merlin, she was just as good at flirting as he was. It had been awhile since he'd had a conversation like this with a woman. It was fun and he was enjoying it immensely.
He watched as she took her turn and spun up, 'green right foot.' And he was waiting for her to take her spot but she decided to ask her question first and she certainly didn't beat around the bush. "Single." he answered with a grin. As if she didn't know.
Oliver gave her a wink before beding down and giving the spinner a flick. "Blue left foot." And as he moved towards the blue dot that was only two spaces away from her green dot, he looked at her. "Lunch or dinner?"
Never cooked anything...well he was either spoiled or useless or both..she thought with a little smile spreading across her face. "Well it sounds like you are in desperate need of private lessons then..." she said with a pause as she pushed a stray bang behind her left ear.
She cocked her eyebrow as his wink...man he was handsome and she was pretty sure he knew it....breathe Gemma breath...
She placed her hand on the green dot while she waited for his answer...single...hmmm....she had figured that with all the pretty single professors around the castle he was atleast half way not single...did that make sense...o heavens no...but she figured she wasn't the only professor he'd been playing around with...
Blue left foot...she looked towards her left foot...why was it that when you played Twister you always had to look at your foot or hand before you moved it like you didn't know where it was....she was pulled away from her weird thoughts as he felt her presence close to her and then heard his question...she looked up and only then realized how close they were...within inches of each other actually..."How bout both..." she said with a little friendly/challenging push...
She flicked the spinner, "Green Right Foot..." o this would be a little interesting...only five dots and two were already taken by their hands...as she planned her next move, she asked her question, "Just a flirt or truly interested?" either way it would be fun...she was up for a challenge and either would def be that.
Oliver didn't think he was in desperate need for cooking lessons. He had managed to get by all these years after all, but he was quite happy to have her teach him. He would get two things out of it at least. He would get to know Gemma better and maybe he would be able to cook after it. "And where would these lessons take place?"
There was a small smile on his face that he was doing his best to hide. He didn't want to appear to smug but he was liking Gemma's reactions to how close they were standing. He may be slightly affected himself but he wasn't about to let on. Although, his eyebrows shot up at her answer to his question, which was really a question as well. "I don't have a problem with both." What man would?
Her next question made him chuckle and he bent down and flicked the spinner again before answering. "A bit of both." He smiled at her before glancing down to see what he had spun. "Yellow right hand." Well this was getting very interesting now. He placed his right hand on the yellow dot and then looked up at her.
Lessons...hmmm...good question..."Well, since we are stuck here...the kitchens are always nice...or..." she cocked her eyebrow again, "You could always come visit my beach house in Florida over the break...lots of surfing and cooking lessons...I've got plenty of room...you could even bring the other two stooges...I mean...Muskateers..." she said with a little laugh.
Gemma almost lost her balance because she was too busy trying not to get too close to him, but she stood strong and kept her footing and arming..."Well that sounds great...I would say it sounds like a date but I'll let you make that move..." she didn't want to be too pushy but that was a pretty strong hint...
A little bit of both...at first that made her want to hit him in the chest...but then she realized she was guilty of both as well, "Well that does make things more fun..." she said as she looked for a yellow right hand...this was going to be hard to spin the spinner in a minute....she found a yellow dot right beside his. This meant they were just inches from each other.
What an intriguing question..."Well you have to start somewhere don't you...so let's say casual and see where it goes from there...." she wouldn't be against something serious but she wasn't willing to commit to anything like that right now...she really didn't know much about him other than he liked surfing and flirting...and causing trouble...she balanced with her left hand and moved her right hand just enough to flick the spinner, "Blue left hand." o great even better...
She spotted her spot and took a deep breath but before moving she glanced up at him...still so close...she could look straight into those deep eyes...must focus...she felt herself leaning towards him and then focused on her question, "Who would you rather made the first move?"
