However, before Edric could complain too much, Ellie had whipped out her wand and was now pointing it at his face.
O_O
WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS SHE DOING!?
Edric's eyes widened slightly, and he watched as she then pointed her wand menacingly at his foot. On instinct, Edric picked his feet up from the floor and sat them with him on the trunk. Was she CRAZY?! What the hell?!

"Apologize?! For my 'rude' behaviour!? Are you serious?! The only rude person here is you! My reaction is completely appropriate for the situation!" said Edric in his defense. Luckily for Ellie, her being a couple years older than him made the boy a little more gullible about her wand skill. He was sure she must've known something on how to cause bones to blow up.

But then he remembered.
"You can't perform heavy magic outside of school anyway," he pointed out with a hint of triumph on his expression as he brought his feet back down to the floor. "Only minor healing spells. So I suggest you get to fixing my foot before I decide to torment you for the whole ride to the school once the train arrives."
Watching the boy's eyes widen a bit was rather amusing. But she showed no amusement on her face. Because he was mean. Ellie watched as he picked up his feet and put them on the trunk.

But, uuggghh. He still thought this was entirely Ellie's fault. And that she should be the one falling at his feet in sorrow. Following the boys feet with her wand, Ellie scoffed. "I am not rude! I didn't intend to run over your precious toes, okay?!" Jeez, how many times did she need to say that? "I apologized, which means you should asked nicely to help, not demand my assistance."

Oh gollywaffles. Ellie's eyes narrowed at the boy. Only minor healing spells. But... jinxes weren't heavy magic. They were simple little charms, anyone could do them. "I will not heal your foot until you apologize and ask nicely... And you better do it soon or else you'll be dancing like a bowl of jello all the way to Hogwarts." Ellie wasn't giving up on this boy.

Edric had stumbled upon a challenge, and that challenge came in the form of a girl with big brown hair and light blue eyes. The problem? She was just as stubborn as he was. While he insisted that he had no reason to be nice, she insisted he owed her more manners; while he insisted apologies weren't enough, she saw no reason to crawl at his feet.

The limo pulls towards the unloading bay and the driver's door swings open. He promptly makes his way towards the back of the car, pulling open the passenger door facing the station before proceeding to open the trunk to unload the luggages. A salt-and-pepper haired man stepped out from the passenger seat and glanced momentarily at the station before turning his attention back towards the interior of the limo "Well here we are! Kings Cross." Corin Vanderbilt smiled as he turns towards his nephew.

Vickers Vanderbilt scooted out of the limo after his uncle. As he hitched his backpack on his shoulder he gazed at the structure before him "It.... it looks like any other train station. I mean, you know...."

Corin had to stifle a laugh. Did he look this disappointed when he first saw Kings Cross all those years ago? "Well of course it would look like any other train station... its Kings Cross. All kinds of people passes through this station." he said, giving his nephew a knowing look. Yes all kinds. Magical and Muggle alike

Vickers wasnt really sure what he was expecting. He did know about Kings Cross from his readings but perhaps he was also expecting that there would be a separate area for Magical folk, just like certain major train stations they ran back in the US. He watched people come in and out of the doors "I guess we have to we have to be real careful. No accidents right?".

Corin nodded his head "Exactly." Specially the kind thats difficult to explain "Just be mindful of what you're doing while we're out in the open." he added casually. "Oh and dont worry your train is actually located in a separate platform..." he added as he handed Vickers the curious looking ticket that read Platform 9 3/4.

"Well I think she just likes to hear herself talk at this point and it doesn't matter if anyone hears her. Though I think she actually decided to be nice at one point, she bought me a new cage for Gidget and I ended up with brand new robes for the term." That was totally unlike her, although it was less that he had to buy for himself so all in all; it wasn't a bad thing by any means. As the subject of hanging out and his friends had come up though, he completely forgot about his cousin being strange and just focussed on that because honestly it was a much better subject. "Well my friends like you, so I'm sure we could just compromise at some point and all hang out together; it would be fun since I don't want to think that I'm ignoring people because of the way that I choose to organize my time." He certainly thought that was a good idea because he wanted to spend more time with his friends but at the same time also wanted to get in some more time with his girlfriend since they wouldn't be seeing each other until the next holidays after he graduated, but right now he just wanted to focus on this term. There was a lot that could happen and he was looking forward to it all.

Speaking of Hogwarts and the upcoming term. He still couldn't seem to forget the baby elf last term and how much trouble it had caused but honestly at least it was being looked after by a student. "Of course he wouldn't let that happen, unless somehow he forgets. It's always a possibility that there could be a repeat. Although from the time that I've spent at the school, I could tell you that there's never been a repeat of the previous term's events." That definitely would have been interesting if he could have been proved wrong by that statement although he knew it was as close to the truth as it possibly could be. It seemed as though as he finished considering his previous thought, the whole mention of house points and whatnot had returned and he couldn't help but just laugh. "I do know that and I never expected you to make it easy for me, I like a good challenge. However I also know that Slytherin will be sweeping the Cups so, just informing you in advance." A mixture between a devious smirk and a playful grin quickly formed on his lips and it was definitely interesting; sure they were in different houses so it allowed for this competition that was just fun. When Gidget seemed to be paying attention to his girlfriend, he couldn't help but realize that there was actually the time to think about what she had just asked. "Well as I explained, she doesn't get along with many people and yet as soon as she met you; she immediately seemed to like you. It's sort of like there's an immediate bond between you two." There was no better way than to explain that although it still made him think that it definitely was interesting.
Stella knew enough about the Matt/Raven situation to know that he wasn't laughing at her musing. Just as she also knew he wasn't offended by it, proven by the first words out of his mouth after the chuckle. not to mention the fact she'd actually been a bit surprised by what he'd gone on to say. Perhaps things really were changing. "That was nice of her," she conceded, "Although I can't help but wonder if there is something behind it, too." She already was suspicious that the funding of Matt's trip to France next year was actually an attempt at separating them. She wasn't abotu to say that, though, but this was an entirely different topic. Besides, it was pretty well known that his cousin was determined to make him what she considered a true Slytherin. In any case, the change in topic to them spending time together this term, as well as not ignoring his friends, was welcome. She smiled as he spoke, too. "They do? I wasn't sure," she replied. Although she at least thought India and Nikolas didn't hate her, but she hadn't been sure. There hadn't been a lot of conversation at Matt's apartment between them. Just her and Kyle, mostly, and half of that had been in French. "I'm okay with us all hanging out as a group, though. I have no reason to try and keep you to myself. I can share," she added with another little grin. Especially as she'd have time to do that next summer when she got to show him around her world, before things.

She laughed as he'd spoken about the headmaster, forgetting the thoughts abotu next summer yet again. "Do you really think he'd forget, let things end up in chaos again?," she asked, shrugging slightly as he verifed that events rarely repeated. About all she knew of events at Hogwarts that happened more than once was the Triwizard Tournament, but that wasn't really the point. That wasn't really Hogwarts-specific, while the house elf chaos seemed to be. As did half the stories she'd heard about from her sister or the newspaper. And she giggled again as he acted certain of his house's victory again. "I like creating a challenge," she replied with a grin. "And I don't think Ravenclaw is going to make things easy on you. I think there's going to be a comeback." Not that she could really say that, but it was all just for fun anyway. Right now, at least, plus she knew Matt was only half-serious. And his owl was distracting anyhow, although she turned a questioning look toward him as he'd explained why he'd found Gidget's attachment to her odd. "She's your owl," she pointed out with a little grin once he'd finished speaking. "Maybe she's just like you. I mean, I think we sort of immediately had at least wanted to be friends when we met. Obviously it's gotten to be more than that, but it's still possible." Sometimes she thought Lyra acted like her, so she thought it was logical to at least consider the possibility Matt's owl was just adopting his own feelings toward her.

Isabelle was feeling extremely late. Her mum had decided that she had to stay in France until the very last minute. So Isabelle just got back from France late last night and was as tired as could be. She was super excited for the new school year and vowed to get up early. But that didn't really happen. She woke up 20 minutes ago. At least she had her clothes all laid out.

Isabelle was going to enter her final year at Hogwarts with quite the outfit. Sparkles, sparkles, and more sparkles. It was going to being very sparkly and different. She would make quite the entrance. But now she raced to the wall so she could get on the train quickly.

Sometimes she thought Lyra acted like her, so she thought it was logical to at least consider the possibility Matt's owl was just adopting his own feelings toward her.
Something about the way Stella just spoke had made Matt raise his left eyebrow slightly, sure his cousin had been known to attempt to break them up and obviously that wasn't going to happen because he liked her way too much to allow Raven to have that power. "I thought so too, but I never said a word about how strange it was. Normally she's not concerned about things like that." He wasn't sure what she was planning although he knew it was going to be huge and it wasn't something that he wanted to think about at this point because that would be basically letting her win. That wasn't something that he would allow to happen either. "They has to be. And I wouldn't be surprised if it's yet another trick for attempting to break us up, which honestly I think that she should have given up on long ago." Apparently she was determined to see that happen, though it never would. However as the conversation quickly shifted back to the topic of attempting to find time to spend with both his friends and his girlfriend, he couldn't help but grin slightly at what exactly had been said. "Of course they do, I think Nik might be a bit jealous of me though." Well that was according to what his best friend said, honestly he didn't get it but that really was besides the point now. "Awesome, but obviously there's going to be some time that I just want to spend with you; other than that it should be pretty fun. We do get into some random situations like with playing detective." Mainly that was what he did last term with his strange conspiracy theories although he definitely knew that those ideas had been rather stupid because of the fact he hadn't found anything to show that it was the truth.

He went off into thought as she asked a question but soon turned his attention right back to her since that would have been quite rude otherwise and he was far from that. "Well I don't think so exactly, though you never know honestly. It's more of a mystery but like any good mystery; there shall be a clue found eventually." Which meant that he might to play detective again this term, not a problem with that. He secretly enjoyed the whole investigating thing even though he never thought that he was good enough at it to possibly consider going into law school or whatever. It quickly seemed like the whole mini competition they had going on here had returned which was merely amusing, if they had been both in the same house then it wouldn't have been as fun. "Well the Ravenclaws are welcome to challenge the Slytherins all they want to, but they'll be settling for second place just like last term. And I.. I'll be a top earner myself." That might have been a challenge but hey, he was more than determined to achieve that goal because it was not impossible. Impossible was a word that didn't exist in his vocabulary. The reasoning behind why it seemed that she had had an immediate bond with Gidget definitely intrigued him although it also made a lot of sense. "It's possible, I can see how that makes a lot of sense; I really think that she can understand that you're not a bad person and therefore there isn't a need to act somewhat energetic in a bad way." He was just happy that his owl hadn't tried to attack his girlfriend, that would not have been good at all.

I will ask nicely, but I will not apologize," decided Edric. He could fake politeness, but there was no way he was apologizing for reacting appropriately to having his toes broken in halves!

Taking a deep breath, Edric got up to his feet and let out a loooooong sigh.
"You-- Ellie," - was that short for Eleanor or something? He felt the name was too cutesy and made him sound friendlier than he wanted to - "Will you please mend my toes whichyouhavebrokenwithyourlackofconsiderationimean seriouslywhatthehellisinyourtrunk?!" He paused. "Please?"

They seemed to be in a staring contest at that moment in time. Both most likely contemplating what to do. Neither of them seemed likely to give up. Stubborn as rocks. Ellie stared at the boy as he narrowed his eyes at her.

He said he would ask nicely, but he wouldn't apologize. Ellie pondered for a moment before nodding. "Fine." That would have to do. For now. But if she ever saw him on the grounds, she would probably sneak her wand out and zap him on the bum.

Raising her chin slightly as he stood back up, Ellie sighed. Just not as loud or as looooong as the boy's. My, he must have really been fed up. Amusing. And it was a good thing he corrected himself and called him Ellie, or else she would have jabbed him in the tummy.

Ellie rose an eyebrow at his long muttering sentence but just ignored it. And without further ado... "Sit back down and take off your shoe." Ellie said, waving her wand at his foot. She kind of realized that that was an odd thing to request of someone in public. "I know that sounds weird, but just do it." She added. Because she was the boss around here.

"And if you really must know, I have a lot of books." She told him, sitting on her own trunk as well. She was a book junkie. Well... "And shoes."

Edric seemed relieved - though he did his best not to show it too much - when Ellie accepted his deal and forced politeness. WHEW. His toes would be good as new in no time, and then he could turn right around and never see this girl again. Man, he couldn't wait for that. Ever the anti-social little Scrooge.

But then Ellie was asking him to sit down and take off his shoe. A little second year passing by stopped, staring at them with a raised eyebrow, and moved on. Yeah, that hadn't been a weird request at all. And it seemed Ellie knew it, as she quickly added she realized how odd it all was.

"Okay…" muttered Edric, sitting back down on his trunk and pulling off his shoe, then his sock. This had better work. The boy was always wary and paranoid, so he still feared Ellie had something up her sleeve and planned to break his foot further or something. But he had to take the risk if he wanted his foot back.

As she explained she had a lot of books, Edric nodded. But then she added she also had a lot of shoes. He rolled his eyes. Of course she did, she was a girl. Edric knew nothing about the female species, so he just sort of went by the stereotypes taught by the media.

"Well, it looks like you're carrying five students' whole bookshelves in your trunk," he said, picking up his leg and then dropping it on Ellie's lap (rather carelessly, so he might've kind of crushed the girl's lap a little). He figured he should at least get comfortable.

When Ellie made her request, she noticed a little Hogwarts student stare at them for a a moment before with a rather perplexed look on her face. Yeah, that was a bit odd. But then they left and moved on. Good.

Ellie watched as the annoying little prat boy took off his shoe and sock on the 'injured' foot. She still couldn't believe this kid made such huge deal about it. Bah. Whatever.

Then the quite unappreciative boy flopped his leg carelessly on her lap. "Ow!" Ellie grumbled, glaring at him. Was that really necessary? She was actually trying to help him now and he was still being rude! Ellie was half-tempted to mangle his foot even more and leave. But she was nicer than that. And the better person in this situation.

Eyeing his foot, Ellie raised her wand and took a deep breath. For theatrics. "Episkey." She said, tapping his foot lightly with her wand. There. A simple healing charm to fix any small problem. And this was small; that kid was just making an unecessarily HUGE deal out of it.

"There. Happy?" She asked, shoving his leg off her lap and standing back up. He better be happy.

Edric gave a satisfied, mocking smile as Ellie gave an 'ow!'. Heh. Heheh. Take that, evil toe-crunching GURL.

Aaaaaaand then she fixed his toes. Just a second after she muttered the spell, Edric felt a chilling sensation travel through his blood and, suddenly, his toes were like brand new.
And then Ellie just dumped his foot on the floor.

"Ow!" Edric shot her a look. "Watch it, or you'll be playing nurse to my foot again!" he complained, picking up his left shoe and sock and placing them back on his foot. Once he had both of his shoes on and everything was good and perfect, Edric got up to his feet and picked up his trunk, just as Ellie asked if he was happy. "Yep. Very."

And then he just began to walk away.
Without a thanks.

"See ya!" He waved at the girl without looking back.

That smile. It was evil. And Ellie wanted to smack it off.

Ellie gave him the same, mocking smile that he gave her moments ago as his foot fell carelessly to the floor. HA. Served that evil boy right! She just ignored his complaining, whining voice and got back off her trunk, straightening out her skirt.

Folding her arms, she watched the boy stand up and pick up his trunk. And then leave, without a thank you. Ellie's jaw dropped as she scoffed at the boy's silly wave. Oh, nu-uuhh! That ain't gunna fly, boy.

Grabbing the handle to her trunk, Ellie walked after the boy, flicked her wand at his shoelaces and made them tie themselves together. And then she strolled right by him. "Have a nice trip!" She said cheerfully as she quickly stormed down the platform, her owl screeching at the boy.

Eino said encouragingly, she didn't want to make her feel dumb. Plus, he didn't know how to do those things himself so he could relate. Although he was interested in knowing how Muggles mailed letters now, if not by using owls, then what other animal or system did they use?

Eino noticed Sierra look down at her outfit when he complimented her. He wanted to interrupt her and clarify that he had complimented her not her outfit, but that distinction probably would only make her feel a little more awkward. "Thank you..." He finally said once she had found something to say in return. He wasn't expecting her to see his badge, or to even notice it (because he had worn random badges in the past), but was somehow a little disappointed that she didn't. He was hoping that it would... Attract some of her attention? Maybe. Something like that. It was the second thing he thought of when he accepted it, but not a necessarily a reason why he did.

Once she changed the topic to Ino, Eino glanced over at the cat, who was trying to break free from the carrier by scratching the lock from the inside. Eino stuck his index finger in through the grid and the cat paused to rub her head on it. When she did, Eino scratched it in attempts to comfort, and continued to do so as Sierra spoke. "Oh, I see. And how is it that you get to Hogsmead from here?" She doesn't take the train EVER? Lucky. Eino wished he could skip the train.

Suddenly, he remembered that he had a gift for Sierra, one he had obtained during summer, but this wasn't the best place to give it to her. He really wanted to take his uncle's advice that he should stop gifting her trinkets, but he didn't know how else to show his affection. It was very frustrating.

Sierra rolled her eyes, not at Eino,, but at Muggle summer camp. "Tell me about it. I mean, if I wanted to know how to turn on a television and write actual letters to people, I'd have moved to the Muggle world a long time ago," she said. Which, she didn't want to learn those things. They did her absolutely no good where she came from. Which was here, of course. No, not at the train station--the Wizarding World. Home, sweet home!

A few moments of silence passed, in which Sierra assumed Eino was thinking about something, but she didn't ask what that was. Besides, he seemed with preoccupied with his cat now. "I got here by apparition. Well, side-along apparition," he answered. "I came into London with my father, who had to work today. I thought about heading into Diagon Alley to pick up a few more things I need, but he thought I should come here instead," she answered. Did that make it seem like she hadn't wanted to come here or have this conversation with them? She wasn't sure, but just to be on the safe side, she added, "...and I'm glad I did."

She turned her attention to Ino and watched as Eino tended to him. Her eyes flickered upward, and when they did, she caught sight of something shiny on Eino's shirt. "A prefect badge," she said aloud. "Eino, you're prefect! Congratulations!" Then she added, "You know, I figured it'd be you."

"Leo was here, he just left." Presley replied. Leo was in a bit of turmoil, because of the Cult thingie and losing his boss...it was all sorts of fun at the ministry just now.

"We are glad to have you back in the Wizard world." Eino comforted her, followed by a rather hostile hiss of disapproval from Ino. "Well, I am glad." He said amorously. His voice had momentarily softened as he said those words and lost himself in her eyes, but recovered back to reality with a sharp shake of his head and a few blinks. He couldn't imagine going back to Hogwarts and not seeing Sierra. He had been thinking about her often. Every time he went out he always hoped to run into her, or meet her in some other way.

He let out a heavy sigh as he let go of his trunk's handle and discreetly wiped his sweaty palm on the side of his pants. As he returned his hand to the handle, she gave him another reason to wipe it dry again. Her father. Her father was here? He gulped and tried to relax his face as he realized he was working, somewhere not here. He was going to say something, but he forgot what it was by the time that she had spoken again. He smiled brightly and nodded. The only one who didn't seem to be too happy was Ino. She was fidgety and restless, but Eino barely noticed it, which was probably why she was being the way she was.

He briefly turned his attention to her, when he heard Sierra speak again. He was rather upset that she chose to speak when he wasn't looking at her. He liked the way her eyes sparkled when she spoke, but that didn't matter, because when he looked back at her her eyes were still sparkling. "Thank you." Eino said looking down at his own badge and using his sleeve to wipe it shiny. If he had been a sonneteer and this the renaissance period, he might had broken out into a short rhyme about how his her eyes sparkled brighter than his badge, and he would rather wear her in his heart than his badge on his chest, but this was neither the renaissance period nor was Eino very good with rhymes. "You did? How did you come to this conclusion?" He asked, partly to prevent more awkward silences but mostly to hear what she thought about him, or what his qualifications were to be a prefect.

Alex said goodbye to her parents. It was now or never, time to start her new life at Hogwarts. She was feeling equal parts excitement and terror as she headed toward the platform. "I'd better hurry",she thought.

Violet pushed her trolley to where the brick wall was between platform 9 and 10. She had seen many people do this before to get onto platform 9 and 3/4 and she was not afraid. Violet hugged her parents quickly and started a run at the wall. As it came closer and closer, she closed her eyes and went through safely with no injury at all.

Jordan tried to convince her parents that although this would be her first year at Hogwarts she was old enough to take care of herself. " Okay, Okay You guys can walk me onto the platform, but I'm on my own from there." Her parents reluctantly agreed and followed her into the station.
