A large honey-colored wood table is set up to the far side of the room, the perfect place to study or even just leisure read. And should you find yourself lacking inspiration, portraits of several outstanding brains of former Hufflepuffs through the centuries line the walls in this area. These fine minds also bear the hallmark of those traditional of Hufflepuffs, including qualities of patience, a strong work ethic, and constancy.
Some of these portraits include Nymphadora Tonks, Cedric Diggory, and even Zacharias Smith, flying on his broomstick. And of more modern Hufflepuffs, there are portraits of former prefects such as Savannah Mae, Nolan Reynolds, Leo Moretti, and then some outstanding quidditch plays of Evan Cassels scoring another goal on Slytherins and then Kita Lewis, snatching the snitch right from Ellie Stone's nose just last term!
Hufflepuffs may have that myth floating around that we're not clever, but that is a MYTH. Hufflepuffs are definitely though, the least boastful, the most modest, but have also produced just as many brilliant witches and wizards as any other house. In addition to those named above, there's also Grogan Stump, one of the most popular Ministers for Magic of all time, as were the successful Ministers Artemesia Lufkin and Dugald McPhail. Then there’s the world authority on magical creatures, Newt Scamander; Bridget Wenlock, the famous thirteenth-century Arithmancer who first discovered the magical properties of the number seven, and Hengist of Woodcroft, who founded the Hogsmeade village.
But enough about former outstanding Hufflepuffs; I do hope some of you are willing to work hard and use these study tables wisely. After all, it's been thirteen years since we've had that elusive house cup.

Once Alyssa had the frame reverted back into the piece of paper she had drawn some designs on, Alyssa picked up her drawing pencil and studied her parchment for the various decorations she had drawn and decided to select the scallop design to decorate the corner of the frame. Before she started drawing them, Alyssa also decided to draw an inner border for the picture frame.
So she first drew a square border two inches from the edge of the paper. Once she was done. She drew the scallop shells inside the border within the edge of the paper and the edge of the inner border. She decided to draw scallops on each corner of the border. Once she was done, she made sure that the scallops were all aligned before she picked up her wand and tracing a square on the paper, she said "Statua Habitum" while at the same time concentrating on the designs that were now drawn on the paper.
Immediately the paper transfigured into the photo frame complete with the designs. 'This is starting to look good' Alyssa thought to herself. But she decided that the photo frame still needed some improving. So pointing her wand at the frame she said "Reverto" converting it back into her paper drawing.

After Alyssa had reverted the photo frame back into her paper on which she had drawn her designs, Alyssa decided that she needed to draw more details into the frame. She drew leaflike designs on the four corners of the edges of the paper. Then on the inner border, she drew diagonal lines on all sides of the border, creating an edging for the inner border. Alyssa studied the designs one more time before picking up her wand and while tracing the edge of the paper, she looked at the designs that she had drawn on it and concentrating on the designs, said, "Statua Habitum".
The paper immediately changed into the photo frame. She looked at the designs she had drawn and was happy with it. She just needed to do one more thing and that was to color the drawing, so that the frame wouldn't be white in color. So picking up her wand again, Alyssa said "Reverto" converting the photo frame back into the piece of paper.

Alex wandered over to the Hufflepuff study tables, carrying his wand, a few spare pieces of paper, and a picture of himself and his sister Sierra from when they were younger, which he all promptly dropped on the table as soon as he found a seat. He smiled knowingly at the others around the table who were completing the same assignment. WOOOT! Way to get points Huffies!
He placed the picture carefully on top of the paper and tapped his chin. HMMMM. What type of picture frame did he want to make? He tried to think of the colors Sierra liked...he wasn't exactly sure, to be honest. That was understandable, they hadn't lived together in almost three years. Maybe he'd do silver. Yes, silver would be a safe bet. It was one of her house colors and went with just about anything!
The frame he pictured in his head was nothing short of extremely complicated, and he hadn't exactly aced this spell on the first try. As he sketched out the picture on a scrap piece of parchment, he tried to keep his spirits up. He would try as many times as possible to get it right! Here goes nothing...
"Statua Habitum," he muttered as he waved his wand around the paper. He smiled as he saw the silver frame begin to take shape but...that was it. Just plain silver. No detail.
Sigh. "Reverto," he mumbled.

Once Messer found an empty seat in the Hufflepuff study table, he put his bag down then he took out his Transfiguration notebook also a piece of paper. First he need to design a picture frame on it. Messer searched for his crayon or color markers he could use to draw the design, he was pretty sure that he already put one of those coloring things in his bag. Then his hand found the crayon box. "Got it." he took the crayon bag from his bag.
The young badger was thinking the design for his frame. Then he picked the brown color and start to draw an open window after that he drew flowerpot with some of the flowers. WAIT! What?! FLOWERS?! He was a boy for Merlin's sake why on earth he decided to draw flowers?! Its like his hand has its on mind. The last but not least he drew a bear, a honey bear to be exact. He used his orange crayon to make the bear. Messer looked at his now complete drawing. Its not so bad.
He took his wand from its holster and pointed it to his drawing "Statua Habitum!" he muttered the incantation. Nothing happen. His drawing didn't change into a frame. He frowned. Messer took a deep breath before he repeated his last action, this time he imagined the designs that were now drawn on the paper. And it work. In his desk now there's a photo frame but its not exactly what he wanted. "Reverto!" the frame went back to a paper with his design on it.

Once Alex had reverted his frame back to a piece of paper, he took a deep breath and tried to center his concentration again. He was starting to get nervous, since this spell had been a bit of a disaster in class, but he'd picked it up fairly fast after that. He should be able to do this in another try or so, he was sure of it! Closing his eyes and taking another deep breath, he picked up his wand, cleared his throat, and tried again.
"Statua Habitum," he muttered once more as he traced the paper. He pictured the silver frame in his mind again and opened his eyes to see a silver frame...again. No change. GAH why wasn't the detail showing up?!
Frustrated, he reverted the frame and prepared to try AGAIN.

Minerva walked into the study room. It seemed busier then the last time she was there. That was good that meant more Puffs were cracking down this term. It was showing by their points. She found a seat and opened her book to the page she needed.

Minerva pulled out her parchment and began to write.
Justin alked into the study room to meet Minerva and there she was . So, he walked over without saying a word and sat down and noticed she had her Arithromancy book out . So, he pulled his out as well and opened to the page she was on and took out some parchement and his ink and quill. he looked up and smiled. " So, what are we gonna work on? "

Keefer poked his head into the study area. It was much more full than he had ever seen it. That was good. It meant Hufflepuff was serious about getting that Cup back this term. He knew that he was personally going to do everything in his power to help it along.
Many people were working on their Transfiguration homework. He saw Justin and Minnie working on Arithmancy. A sense of pride welled up inside of him. See, this is what it means to be a Hufflepuff! Working hard and helping each other out. Feeling suddenly inspired, he said, "Good job everyone, keep up the great work!"

Alex's mood was lightened a bit when he heard the Hufflepuff Quidditch captain urging them all on. He smiled and chuckled at the Huffie before saluting him. "Thanks Captain!" he said with a grin. They were SO CLOSE to first in the house cup, he could almost taste it!
Right, back to work, which would in turn get them the points they needed. He stared at the piece of paper and sighed. He COULD do this. The only way to get better at this kind of stuff was to keep practicing and challenging himself, and he was certainly feeling challenged and had a bit of a headache. He could DO this.
"Statua Habitum," he muttered again, running his wand over the corners once more. This time, to his delight, he saw that the frame was perfectly square and silver, and had a lot more detailing this time. Not ALL the detailing but it was a definite improvement! One or two more times ought to do it!

Minerva was just about to start working when Keefer came in and said good job. She smiled "Aww thanks Keefer if you need join us your more then welcome." Then she turned back to Justin. "Ok let's start with what we were learning in class. The Soul Urge Number. Did you understand that? If you look at the book, chapter two right here." she pointed. "It gives you all the numbers that go with each letter. All the numbers are 1-9. So you might have two letters with the same number. Anyway for the Soul number you will be adding your vowels from your first, middle, and last name. So take Justin. You have a u and an i. So let's look at the book for the numbers.
Ok so your u is 3 and your i is 9. So you would do 3+9=12. Now..." Minerva stopped and looked at Justin. "What's your middle name Justin?" she couldn't believe she didn't know this.

Alex took a deep breath and tried to refocus his brain. Ok, he could do this. He'd made a vast improvement the last time he'd attempted the spell, so if his prediction was correct, he'd have only another try or two before he got the spell correct. Ok, he could do this!
He rolled up his sleeves, bit his lip in concentration, and began to trace the paper with his wand. "Statua Habitum!" he exclaimed, picturing the silver frame clearly in his mind. To his delight, the paper began to wrap around the picture and began to turn silver, and a few moments later the detailed design he'd pictured was starting to engrave itself on the frame. YES! Success! It looked perfect!
"Finally!" he groaned with a smile. He picked up the frame and shook it, just to make sure it wasn't going to collapse into dust like it did in class, but it seemed to be holding up. Grinning, he scooped up his materials in his arms and rushed up to his dorm so he could wrap the present before delivering it to his sister.

Sophie walked up to the study table without looking at any of the students that were already sitting there. She had this really cool idea of picture frame and wanted to produce it as soon as possible!
Putting her bag on the table, she got some sheet of paper and her colored pencils out. She began drawing happily, spreading her pencils around the paper. This was going to be it! She was about to draw the picture frame she would hand in. It was so pretty in her mind!
Starting with a darker shade of purple, Sophie made a small rectangle at the bottom of the blank paper. This should be the base of her frame. She colored it carefully, not leaving any white spaces left. Before drawing the rest of her picture frame, she wondered if she could make a picture frame that was made of plastic. She got her wand out of her pocket and pointed it at a blank sheet of paper that was lying by her bag. She drew the square around it. "Statua Habitum." And the paper changed into a plastic picture frame! "Hooray!" Sophie thought smiling. Since that was just a test and it was not even a pretty frame, she pointed her wand at it again. "Reverto."
She watched the frame go back to its original blank-paper form then looked down to resume drawing.

Minerva smiled. 'I can't believe I have never known that. She wrote that down on the parchment. "Ok so you have an i, i, and a u. Can you tell me which numbers you need for those letters."
Sophie was still drawing when suddenly changed her mind. She would keep the purple part she had already drawn, but would do something different from what she was thinking! Since she had already done a simpler picture frame, she would give that one to Glenn, as she promised she would. She had liked that picture frame anyway! It was pretty!
But now Sophie felt like doing one especially to her mum, who was a naturalist and herbology researcher! Soooo... nothing better than a herbology themed picture frame!! Ingenious! Sophie smiled widely at the idea.
Keeping the purple part, she grabbed her green pencil and started drawing a "giant" Ivy around the frame. If she could manage to make that for real, it would look so cool!! Maybe it would even move around a little if she concentrated harder... who knew!
Sophie could even make two of those and give one to Professor Bentley as well... if she was anything like her mum, she would really like it! And since Sophie would have a drawing to guide her, she should be able to make two identical frames! Yay! This idea was getting better and better!
If anyone glanced at Sophie now, they might just think she looked stupid from smiling so much!
Messer looked up when he heard their Quidditch Captain voice. That was when he realized that the study table now was almost full with the badgers. Seem like all the badgers eager to do their homework. That was goo, that mean they could earn more points.
After a few minutes looking around the study tables, Messer eyes went back to his design. He wondered why he didn't success at his attempt before maybe he need to emphasize the lines and the colors. "I hope this time it works" he muttered. "Statua Habitum!" Instead of a frame, his piece of paper turned into million tiny pieces of papers. DARN! He pointed his wand to the papers "Reverto!" he muttered the incantation. The million tiny pieces of papers still on his desk its not return to his piece of paper with his design in it. "Reverto!" This time he pictured a paper with the designs that were drawn on it. This time the spell worked.

Sophie finished drawing her picture frame and stared at the paper for a few seconds. She thought it looked quite cool! If she managed to make it right, it would turn out to be a really nice frame! Her mum would love it! Yaaaay!
Putting a blank paper in front of her, she looked back at her drawing, then closed her eyes to concentrate more. Opening them again, Sophie drew a square around the paper with her wand. "Statua Habitum!"
This was the best part! Her smile grew wider as the paper in front of her moved by itself and was now a wooden frame, with all of the details she had drawn! "YAAAY!" she said a little louder than she intended and looked around quickly, grinning. "Sorry, everyone..." she didn't want to interrupt their studies, but she was just SO HAPPY!
Sophie then got another sheet of paper and did the same thing. Concentrating as hard as she could, she repeated the spell. "Statua Habitum!" she said, drawing the square around the paper. An identical frame appeared in front of her. Now she had two! Hooray!

Sophie nodded, still smiling. "Sure! If you ever need help, let me know!" only if it was something practical, of course. No asking for help in theory parts, though. At least not until she felt like studying hard, which she didn't now, heh!
She watched as Messer tried again. "You're already getting better!" she stared at his frame before he undid it. "I'm sure you'll do great with this homework! See you later!" she gave him a little wave before walking away from the study table.
