The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Minerva laughed at the thought of Harvey being with them. "It would be fun, wouldn't it. Oh well" she shrugged. "Plus this might help for future plans." she thought of a little plan she was hoping to do some day. "So think we will be loading the train soon?"

"To bad I wasn't in your guys house though," Angelina said, slipping out what she was thinking. With that she turned a little red, embarassed.
"We will do it next term!" They had to! It was super fun! Sophie grinned when Angelina kind of wished she was a Hufflepuff. She had good reasons to with that, actually! Heh! "It's a deal!" Bertie Botts picknick next term, anywhere around Hogwarts grounds so anyone could join!

There's nothing wrong with wishing, right? Even though that was pretty stupid wish. "Yeah. Thank Merlin we didn't." But that was close though.

They weren't at the bottom, so, all good.
And the other kid, Nate, lived in London, then Oakey was entirely correct in his assumption. "Definitely. Will be seeing each other a lot more." A lot more than the previous summers, which was true, considering they've met outside of Hogwarts, right? Treyen didn't know.
Well they aren't at the top either, Rapunzel Black is AWESOME! My Foster Dad could have played for them. Well, now he can't but he's got a pretty good job at the Ministry. Oakey thought back to his first year in England, and then about his bad luck curse. If his luck was like it is now back then, Harvey may be the Cannon's Top Seeker. Like when he played for the Finches back in America.
Oakey let out a sigh at that thought. Great, Oakey tried on a smile. It'll be awesome to see you around then. Maybe I can update on how us puffs are doing over the next couple of years.

Turning to his best friend, he smiled, "We'll be seeing Aaron soon. And Sabel." Now, if she didn't smile with that, then he had no idea what to do.
She tried not to frown, to keep the forced smile, but it was incredibly difficult with him looking at her like that and worrying over her. Their last feast... shouldn't be like this. Worried and frowny faced. "I know... it's no big thing just... I'll tell you later." When they weren't surrounded by so many ears.
Just for him, she tried not to worry her lip again.
The prefect knew what he was doing, but that still didn't fail to light up her eyes in that special way only her favorite subject could. "Sabel sooner that Aaron." And for longer. But she was excited to her her other best friend as well. "But, I'm excited to see Aaron again too." They had plans and all.

Having not paid much attention to all that were surrounding her or Treyen and Ellie, she too missed her favorite little Puff, and almost started when he came over with hugs.
Only the split second after realizing who it was did she wrap her arms around him for a warm squishy hug, smile becoming even less forced with each kind gesture of her friends. "I won't forget you, Mess. Said I'd write, didn't I?" And see him over summer. She had so many people to see this summer.

Treyen. Treyen better be helping her, because this not bubbly Arya was really a horrible thing.
"You will too, then?" Because if it was 'good' Ellie'd be around, it probably meant Arya would too, right?
Her attention went back to Messer and her smile grew. Arya couldn't ruin that. Because she WAS going to have an amazing summer and she couldn't wait for tomorrow to come. "I will, thanks." She gripped Treyen's hand with her own. They were going to have an amazing summer, weren't they?
"Depends who you're babysitting," she shrugged. She always enjoyed babysitting Aidan. And she would be more than willing to babysit Bishop's baby when he or she came into the world. "And what you do with the kid." There were countless fun things to do with little ones.
Looking up from Messer, she nodded her head at Ellie. "For most of the summer, yeah. Not as much in the fall." Not with Uni starting, though she would still be.... around. For Sabel of course.
Her eyes drifted over to the staff table for what seemed like the first time that night when everyone grew silent and the headmaster gave his closing speech. The seventh year listened more intently than she probably had all her seven years at the school. Her last closing speech. She sure how she was feeling about all of these lasts, but didn't dwell on it for fear of tears.
No crying tonight.
Now was time for food.

Elise cringed as a shrill shout pierced the Great Hall. Shuddering, she turned to face the Staff Table. It appeared to be Professor Schirmer and Professor Roslund, but why they were screaming, she had no idea. But one thing was for sure. This would turn out to be a very interesting feast.
Yay! She counted as friend! "Thanks," she beamed. Turning in slightly, she heard Glenn mumbling under her breath. "I heard the word insulting, but little else," she shrugged. Why couldn't people sort out their differences elsewhere? Like... not in public.
Glenn stopped frowning and decided to laugh now. Funny how the teachers were causing the most drama in the hall. She glanced at Elise and started piling food on her plate not that she needed to eat a lot of food, she had an expansive collection of chocolate frogs still up in her dormitory, and if she got desperate; an abandoned box full of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. Just as she thought this, she heard her other friends across the table discussing the beans...

Now that the conversations were dying down, most likely to the fact the head master was making his way to give the speech, Ella looked over at Logan realizing he hadn't been talking much. She smiled at him, noting that he looked like he might fall asleep right at the table. Ella was tired too, though she wouldn't sleep without eating. Nope. The first year was starved. She nudged Logan, a smile on her face. "Hey sleepy head, won't be long now. I think the Headmaster is going to give his spee-"
And right on cue the headmaster started to speak, addressing all those in the great hall. Ella smiled widely when he congradulated the badgers. Yup, we deserve it! He smile lessened when he talked about how the 7th years and even some professors were leaving. Frown. Ella didn't want to think about any more goodbyes. It made her feel like crying and she wasn't eager to do that. When he was finished, she clapped before turning her attention to the food. FINALLY! She began piling food on her plate, her eyes being much bigger than her stomach at the moment.
As the first year ate, she realized that it wouldn't be long now until they had to leave. She put her fork down and took a look around the great hall, watching the banners and coming back to survey the Hufflepuff table. Bittersweet. That's what she was feeling at the moment.
Oakey chowed down some on the food, but was interrupted quickly with familiar bear hug...very familiar. He-hey Renesmee. Oakey managed to loosen himself a little from her tight grip and wrapped his arms around her.
Oakey couldn't place his finger on the feeling, but it felt like a shiver, or a maybe a twinkle if that's even a feeling someone gets. He always had this feeling whenever Renesmee was around. That aside Oakey released himself and put both his hands on her shoulders. Long time, Renesmee. What brought that on? he asked first. We gotta hang more often, I almost forgot about your hugs.
At least somebody was happy to see her, or at least she thought he was. Her feast she had to admit had not been the greatest, but things could change around right? She giggled as Oakey seemed to be a little surprised. He obviously hadn't thought she'd go up to him like that, but to be honest she couldn't blame him. It had been too long.
When they pulled back from the hug, Ness didn't excpect Oakey to grab onto her shoulder, which was why she blinked for a bit but then remained calm. He wasn't doing anything bad...it was just he had never held her like that before and it felt a tad bit awkward. She didn't move though, she let him do what he was doing.
Now she was pouting, just a tiny bit. "Its been very long." she said feeling a little ashamed. 'I donno, I guess I missed you." At those words she blushed just a tiny bit. It was only natural of her to do so, even though Oakey was after all only a friend. "Yeah we so have to!" She thought of chilling out with Oakey during summer, But she remembered about being grounded and let out a small sigh. Those words had caught her full attention. He had forgotten about her hugs. Did that mean she was a good hugger? Or did that mean she needed improvement. She was a little confused."Your forgot about my hugs? What?" she asked biting her lip now.

"If you're as tired as you say you are, maybe you need to just take a year off. Not go anywhere, just school from home." Because he had a feeling she would have the same struggle at Salem that she did at Hogwarts. "Yeah, that's all I ask. Take time to think about it after it's all settled down." He smiled, recognizing the semi-dismissal. "Thanks, I hope we can as well."

"But I wouldn't really know if my parents are awesome or not. To me they're just my parents and I love them for that. I think I know them a bit too well to be a fair judge of their awesomeness." If that even made sense.

Minerva frowned a bit. That made her sad thinking of him as a seventh year she was just starting to get to know him.
He laughed. That was probably for the best. He was only human, after all, so he was bound to be wrong sometimes.
He stared at her. "No you're fine, honest!" He did have older friends, but age was not all that mattered when deciding who to talk to. "Besides, I have the whole train ride back to talk to people as well. So I'm a free agent right now!" He nodded to emphasize that he was being sincere.
"And as for next year... I'm trying not to think about that right now." The smile wiped off his face as quickly as Alec would run toward a barrel of gummy bears. He was going to miss Treyen. And Arya. And all the other seventh years. And next year it'll be six times as bad, because I'll have to leave all the other years as well! He sunk into a moody silence.

Minerva felt her heart sink and she without thinking wrapped her arms around Keefer "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you sad." red faced she let go. Man I need to stop hugging like that she thought to her self. She did leave one hand on his shoulder. "What can I do to get that cute little smi.. I mean smile on back on your face." she looked down not to make eye contact anymore. Maybe I should run into a corner and hide after my dumbness right now Min thought. "I'm sorry Keefer I dont' know what's wrong with me tonight."
Laura looked at Ella and giggled. "I ain't scared of no Dragon all you need is water and they are harmless." Laura would hug Lafay if she had the chance. "Once you have hugged her she'll become soft or saying that she's probably soft in the first place." Maybe she was just acting all tough and Dragon like because she was scared.
Jen walked up to Laura.
"Hey, see the spots went away? Sorry about that." She said. She want to clear things up before summer started.
Maybe she should have waiting until the train ride back to London to give this to Lewis? At least that way they may have been able to find an empty compartment for just a moment and then they could act normal around each other. The prefect couldn't help but laugh at herself and that thought. Act normal? Where had that thought come from? And what really was normal for them anyway? The tingling she felt in her hands as Lewis' hands came close to hers when took the box, feeling the warmth of his touch so close but not close enough, told her that she had an idea of what normal was.
Kurumi blushed furiously as she averted her eyes away from the corner of his lip to the box in his hands. The contents of that box represented so much, more than a silly roll cake should. And now she was passing all that shyly on to Lewis.
There were so many things she wanted to say right now, but she was finding herself rather tongue tied at the moment. The smirk Treyen had done earlier hadn't helped the situation either while at the same time it had. Treyen knew what had gone on between her and Lewis, confronted her about it, and now had looked rather pleased with her taking Lewis aside for a moment. That could only mean...
"Y-You're welcome," she replied, bowing her head while she too sucked on her lip. "You...you can open it now, if you want." Which she really hoped that he did. Besides birthday cakes and the cupcakes that she occasionally baked Treyen, Kurumi never really baked things other than cookies for people. While Lewis was unaware of this fact, for now, this was a very big gesture. Very big. Maybe Treyen would be able to confirm that for him once she had left.
Right now Lewis just wanted this feast to end. It was...well, he didn't like it anyway. There was so much sadness and tears all around about the Seventh Years leaving. And now there was this too. This...awkward interaction between him and Kurumi. He had wished that they would get another chance to talk before the summer break. But he had definitely NOT pictured that to happen in the Great Hall with so many other people present.
His eyes were still on the box she had handed him, turning it round and round in his hands absently as he tried to figure out what to say. When she told him to open it, he looked back up to meet her gaze, a small smile playing around his lips. Of course he'd been curious about what was in the box but he just hadn't been sure he wanted to open it here. But seeing as Kurumi sknew what was inside and still told him to go ahead and open it, it would be fine, right?
So with his eyes back on the box, Lewis reached up with one hand to open it...revealing a roll cake. Really? He should have probably expected her to still give him something, especially since the other cake had sort of...well, burnt. "Thank you." He said again, meeting her gaze with a smile on his lips. "You really didn't have to." Lewis repeated, ignoring the blush that had formed on his cheeks. She probably knew that already but still.
Minerva smiled "Well then you had one breakthrough maybe you can have another." she was hopeful at least. "A treehouse, seems.. nice" a bit young for them, maybe but the poems would be nice. "I bet that is a nice place to hide away and read and things." she smiled.
"I don't think that'll ever happen again. He's been on edge ever since the accidental kiss." Damon sighed, shaking his head, he still felt bad for it.
Minerva smiled and looked at Ameliah "I don't know the more claws you meet like Ameliah the more time your going to spend in the common room without us." she grinned knowing he would never leave her. She was sure of that one, and felt a little guilt knowing she could say or do anything without him leaving. Maybe that's why she jumped at him so easily knowing it would never push him away. "So Ameliah how have you liked your first term here?" She then looked at Harvey and then around the hall. "This is ridiculous" she said with frustration returning to her face. "I'm over this." she pulled out a parchment. "Is Frost packed yet?"
Minerva smiled "Well that sounds great." she had placed her hand on his without realizing it. "Your family sounds wonderful. It will be nice to meet them." she realized where her hand was and quickly took it away. "Sorry.. anyway, I don't know much about Scotland I have never been there. I had never been on this side of the world before Hogwarts actually. I'm from the States, well I guess I can't say that anymore. I guess now I'm going to have to say London since I will be with my grandparents."
Minerva looked around no she didn't seem him either. Then she listened as he said about staying and she couldn't help smiling at this until he said about her wanting him to leave and she felt herself want to touch his shoulder to hold him to his seat, but she refrained remembering he doesn't like it. "No, no I am enjoying our conversation and I love having you as a new friend. So don't go anywhere if you don't want to. So what is your favorite class here?" she all of the sudden wanted to know more about him.
Minerva looked at Alyssa and frowned. "You are one of the best witches, I don't when your going to stop over looking that and accepting it." Minerva didn't understand why Alyssa didn't understand her own abilities. "So what are your plans this summer Alyssa?"
Ameliah actually smiled. "Well, I'm sure we can be nice to each other for Harvs." she shrugged. "I mean... I don't exactly mind hanging with you. Like you said... we just got off on the wrong foot."

Ameliah laughed and nudged Logan. "A little tired, are we?"

He was knocked out of his short revery by a hug. Whaa-? Oh, right, Min. "No, it's fine. I was already thinking about it anyways. Thanks for the hug, though. I probably needed it." Yes, guys could need hugs, too. Most of them just didn't like to admit it.
A smile played around his mouth at her use of 'cute little smile.' It was amusing to him, actually. "There's nothing wrong with you. You're just trying to make me feel better." He reached over and gave her hand a small, appreciative squeeze.
SPOILER!!: Sophie and Angelina
Oh yeah! They hadn't done that! Glenn nodded and took a sip of pumpkin juice, "We've got to hang out for next term full stop." She added, smiling at her friends. "And remember to bring lots of lollies next term too."
Nodding Angelina said, "We should try to take the same classes together as well!" When Glenn told her to remember the lollies she thought about it and added, "If I go out of the country I will try to get some forin candy and bring it too and see what its like." That sounded fun. Going to all kinds of different countries get different candy and have them all try them out, but she dought she would go to more than one country this summer.
