The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
Minerva smiled "Oh that's nice. My favorites are potions.. I know, I know everyone always thinks I'm crazy but I actually like Lafay." she chuckled waiting for the reaction she usually got about potions. "I also love transfiguration. Hence the always changing hair.." she giggled as she pointed to her hair. Minerva then thought of a question she wasn't sure if she should ask. "Can I ask you something, if it is crossing a line let me know." she hesitated "I love your look, don't get me wrong, but you seem so shy and don't want to be center of attention, so why not dress to blend in?" she knew why she did her hair and left the snake bites call put in, but she wasn't sure with someone that was so to them self.
"What's the fun with blending in?" Damon smirked, "And more people avoid me when I'm like this, and I would know, I went back to my actual hair and eyes for a while and more people tried to talk to me."

Minerva turned a shade of red "Oh" she looked down "I guess I never realized that." she felt dumb for not knowing where she was exactly. "I guess living in a muggle world for so long you don't know certain things." she shrugged. "See my dad was a muggle, I didn't even know mom was a witch until I started having weird things happen and they sat me down and explained everything." Minerva gave a smile she loved her home, well her old home "Well dad was in the army so we moved to different places. My favorite was Tennessee. Maybe someday if I go back you could go too." she looked down she still had her dad's family there anyway. Minerva looked at Keefer and gave a little smile "I'm a bit excited to stay in London, I mean it will be easier to see friends, and since I really didn't know mom's family I get to learn an entire new world basically not just what I see here." She could see he was trying not to upset her. She started fidgeting with her hands and felt a little nervous for what she was going to say. She looked at the table instead of making eye contact "Thanks Keefer, for well everything this term. You have been a great captain as well as a friend. Don't worry asking me about my family. It's hard, but I like to talk about my muggle life, it's all I knew before here." she looked up and smiled a little at him.

Minerva didn't know what answers if any should would get from the owls, but it made her feel better that they would at least hear from her. "Oh I think he will be happy no matter what. Frost isn't a picky owl. I guess I should have went to see midnight a little more then I did, oh well he isn't mine anyway so I guess he probably has many visitors."

Thanks for the offer." she couldn't stop looking at him for some reason. She was so glad they got to know each other and he was kind of cute, now wasn't he. At that thought Min felt a her checks blushing. He can't read minds so why am I blushing she thought. Trying to think of what he just said she answered a bit quickly. "I am excited about that. I saw a little last summer, but I will be living day in and day out with it for now on. It was such a change coming here, but seeing it out of here doesn't seem right for some reason." she laughed a bit at the thought.

"You're welcome." Now why is her face still red? I thought we had taken care of her embarrassment, he thought, utterly bewildered and completely unaware. He picked up the thread of conversation again, still not entirely sure how to read her. "Yeah, there's loads to see. It may be weird at first, but you'll get used to it. I bet you'll enjoy it after a week or so, even though it will be different at first."
Min couldn't help but laugh at this. "Yeah I get it." she thought about herself a little. Harvey looked over to Minnie "I guess you are right.. he WILL be happy.. there are other owls out there for him to hang out with.. he is as good as yours.. you have used him many times and become really close friends with him. You have used him more than any other owl including Frost" he smiled as he said this.. she HAD used Midnight more than any other owl and she did love him alot.. he wondered if the school would let her keep him as her own.

Minerva thought about this. "So have you ever been around the muggle world much? I'm just trying to think of what the biggest difference would be. Like do they use washing machines or spells to clean clothes? Stuff like that? Just trying to figure out what might be the biggest shock. I know here the house elves and talking paintings was a pretty big surprise."

Harvey smiled at Minnie.. before she pointed out as Frost flew into the Hall.. he noticed there was a parchment on his leg and he watched as Frost landed onto the table near Mins and she took the parchment and read it.. "Thats it? She doesnt know.. thats all she wrote on it.. or is there more on there?" he asked.. she had to have said more on there.. and if she didnt say more.. why didnt she say more than that? was she not able to say more? he thought as more questions popped into his head.

Saber dashed into the Great Hall. He sniffed the air, searching for that familiar smell. His eyes darted about the Hufflepuff table. Crouching low to the ground, finally smelling that familiar smell, he slowly made his way closer. Ready.... POUNCE! HE snickered as he landed in the lap of Minerva Wheatborn.

Harvey listened as Minnie spoke "What? Vinnie sick and Kyle is not doing well? oh man!! Oh! right you will have to tell her sometime.. I guess you will just have to explain everything.. what you found on your family tree.. and you staying with your grandparents and stuff.. I am sure she will understand that you will be staying in London.. with your family. But I am glad they are ok and together" he said to Mins.. oh this was going to be a little tough. how would Ame react to this news?.. it had been hard for him at first.. but he had come to accept this situation of Minnie's.
Just then he saw a familiar cat jump onto Minnie's lap.. wasnt that Ame's cat? it sure looked like him.. he wondered what her cat was doing here.. delivering a message perhaps..

Harvey's confusion was cleared when Minnie called him Saber.. so he WAS her cat. Harvey looked at Minnie at the same time that she looked at him.. "Yes it IS weird.. I wonder why she didnt." he wondered as he watched her pet Saber.. so her cat was here but she wasnt. "Well.. maybe she didnt want to worry Kyle by telling her about the arguement with Edward.. I guess if I were in her shoes I might have done the same. Yeah I know.. hopefully she will be ok with it.. afterall that is where you will be now.. he is family" he said to her as he wondered how Minnie would tell Ame everything.. and how everyone would react not just Ame.
"Oh okay, I got it now." Minerva smiled and looked at Damon. "Will you be seeing her a lot over summer? Maybe there will be a family time you will get to talk to her alone."
"More than likely. We only live a little ways from her, and all of us are pretty close." Damon smiled, "With my luck, Maxwell is going to be there as well."

Maybe it's just exhaustion having to play catch up after serving detention. But right now, I feel drained. I have no fighting spirit left in me. Maybe I'll feel better once I get home and I talk with my family, they'll help me get back on the right track. Whether it means coming back here next term I don't know. I hope I do, but I don't know."

"If I don't come back here, I'll just join Cody back at the Salem Institute. Either way, I'll finish off my education. But I hope that what's bothering me will get fixed by the time the new term starts."

Min sat in silence for awhile. The new situation put a damper on things. She was having such a good time and now she was just ready to be on the train. "Well we will figure it out when I see her I guess." She pet Saber and thought. "I bet you will be excited to see Ame again." Minerva gave Harvey a grin.

Minerva shook her head "Well you need to come back here, but I understand if you don't. You will be missed. " she thought for a bit. "Well family is important so hopefully they will help you find your way." she looked away feeling kind of sad thinking of family. She was without the guidance now, but Min couldn't think of that right now. She shook her head and looked up at her friend.
Ella felt herself smiling despite being nervous that a Professor might have overheard Laura. That girl sure was funny. "I don't think I'd be brave enough to hug her, would you?" Nope. The only Professors she would hug would be Williamson or Hadley or even Jenkins, who had attempted to help with the skrewt. She smiled, waiting for Laura's answer. What ever it was, it would probably be humorous.
Laura looked at Ella and giggled. "I ain't scared of no Dragon all you need is water and they are harmless." Laura would hug Lafay if she had the chance. "Once you have hugged her she'll become soft or saying that she's probably soft in the first place." Maybe she was just acting all tough and Dragon like because she was scared.

"It will feel good to hang out again.. all of us.. together" he said smiling.. he had missed that.. their little group hanging out together regularly

Minerva shrugged "Think your getting a bit ahead of yourself Harvs. We don't know if they will be even allowed to hang out with me." Minerva pet Saber. "Well better make sure you catch up breath mints. You might need them when seeing your giiiirrrrrlllllfriiiieeeend again." she laughed at her own joke and poked Harvey in the stomach with her elbow.
