Minerva took a bread stick and twirled it around her fingers. She glanced at Logan and Ella and then back to Ameliah. "Why do I need a reason to get to know someone. We might have gotten off on the wrong foot the other day and if you are friends with my Harvs then you are going to be around me more. Harvs and I have been best friends since our first train ride and we are pretty much stuck at the hip. So who are you, where are you from? I heard from your friends over there that you are Trinity's sister and I have become friends recently with some of your friends over there so you are probably going to have to deal with me more and more, so lets make the best of it." Minerva looked over at Harvey to prove she wasn't going to do the slugs or warts that she wanted to earlier. She was playing nice for now...

Ameliah gritted her teeth. "I don't want to. And I'm a McIntyre now, remember? I don't know how I'm going to tell her that... But there is no way I'm ever going to see that bat's face again."

Ameliah wanted to be able to trust her... so she will. For now. "I'm from Leeds in Britian, but I'm half Irish. You?"

Harvey listened as she spoke to Ameliah nicely he smiled.. she then looked over at him "We have been best friends since then havent we?.. wow.. and to think that so much time has passed since that first day that we met.. both new first years and nervous.. and you were so nice!" he said remembering that day and the trip back home which was mostly with them spending time alone together in secret.. stuck at the hip? that was a new way to put it "Yeah with everyone becoming friends.. I guess its good to know each other" he said to Ameliah.. looks like they would be hanging out alot more now.. they were making more and more friends.. Well he smiled .. Minnie was making the effort to make amends for earlier and was playing nice.



Harvey listened to her "Well.. you will have to tell her sometime if you plan to stay away from her.. she needs to know I guess.. that you are not returning to that home. All you can do is just tell her" he said to her.. that was the best way.. tell them.. truth and honesty was sometimes the best route to go about it. He listened as Ameliah told Minnie that she was from Leeds and half-irish

Minerva smiled a bit. "Well I'm American, but moved many different places. My father was in the Army before .." she couldn't finish as much as she tried so she just kept going. "We lived in many States and even a little in Germany. But as of this summer I guess I will be in London."

Minerva couldn't help but laugh a bit. He acted so nervous. She knew he was afraid of her doing something. She had been a bit of a fire cracker lately hadn't she. "Mr. Friendly aren't you Harvs. All these new people since I left."

Harvey smiled as Minnie talked to Ameliah and he looked at Minnie as she spoke of her father.. he put a hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze and smiled at her .. she wasnt alone.. all the people around her would make sure she got through this.. no matter how hard it was.. just then she laughed "Havent I always been Mr. Friendly?" he chuckled.. "well it isnt exactly alot.. easier to meet new people in the common room I guess.. but you know just hanging out a couple of times." he smiled as he realised he had made some new friends while she had been away.. but even then he had missed this.. hanging out with her.

Oakey tapped the side of his head twice at the mention of him forgetting. I never forget Sophie, not bets, not ever.


Thanks Alyssa. That meant a lot to him, what she said of his Quidditch skills.

Don't back down to early. We've got one more in on it now. he pointed his finger to Sophie who wasn't to far from where he was. I'll see if I can make a visit during my vacation, I'd love to play some backyard Quidditch.

Maybe when I'm older I'll purposely slip up not now though. He wouldn't dare to lose any bets or challenges. Great, then it's settled we can have a rap battle next year. Same place. At the Start of Term Feast?

Oakey smirked just a little. I'll tell everyone to duck and cover first.

Minerva laughed a little. "Well it's about time you stop acting like your a puff and find friend in your own house." she teased. "It's just a little hard to believe that Ame and I can be so quickly replaced when we are not around." she looked over at Ameliah. "So much for being special I guess." Minerva laughed.

Staying with her brother... Glenn hadn't seen her brother for ages, he was too busy being a Healer at St Mungos.

"Of course." Glenn laughed. At that moment she became aware of shouting from the Staff Table. What the...? She frowned and lowered her voice even though she knew they weren't likely to hear her over the noise, "What in MERLIN's name, is that about?"

Louisa blushed, but that should go unnoticed since her cheeks were already red from the wiping. She swallowed and attempted to widen her nervous smile, "N-nothing's wrong. Not really." she lowered her gaze a bit, "I just wanted to say that I'm.. uh.. like.. you know," OKAY. She had to say something, an actual something! "Congratulations!" She blurt out finally, meeting his eyes. "That's first! I hope you have a successful life, some time for yourself in which you don't patch up a dog or ruffle some kid's hair would be cool too." Her smile shifted to a grin, a sad grin if that's possible.

"And I'm really sorry." She sniffed and swallowed, "For doubting.. you. Or whatever." She hesitated before awkwardly hugging him.

Yep. She was actually wrapping her arms around his shoulders and keeping her head at his ear's level. "I really enjoyed the sock-sliding adventure with you. Even after I knew you weren't Dallin." She'd said that while still hugging him. Awkwardly was the highlight of this encounter though.

She let go gently and made sure NOT to meet his gaze, her blush should be visible even with the already redness of her face.

Harvey smiled.. "Oh really?.. and here I was thinking the puffs wanted me to be a puff" he chuckled .. he remembered that they had once wanted to sneak him into their common room... and he still had that puff uniform that Amethyst had given him.. you never know when it could come in handy. He was surprised at what Minnie said next before she laughed "Yup I have found a few friends in Ravenclaw.. well I have always had friends in Ravenclaw.. just that we havent hung out." he said before he put on a surprised face looking at her "Replaced? Nah you two can never be replaced!.. oh you ARE special.. you two have always been special." he said grinning .. as he saw her looking at Ameliah while he looked at her.. she wasnt trying to be matchmaker again was she?.. he remembered when she had brought him and Ronnie together.. apparently she had done it again with Logan and Ella.. maybe she was just good at it.. he thought smiling.

Elise cringed as a shrill shout pierced the Great Hall. Shuddering, she turned to face the Staff Table. It appeared to be Professor Schirmer and Professor Roslund, but why they were screaming, she had no idea. But one thing was for sure. This would turn out to be a very interesting feast.

Yay! She counted as friend! "Thanks," she beamed. Turning in slightly, she heard Glenn mumbling under her breath. "I heard the word insulting, but little else," she shrugged. Why couldn't people sort out their differences elsewhere? Like... not in public.

A grin? Yes, Messer. Ellie will kiss Treyen plenty for you, if you so pleased. Hehe.

"I do," she nodded, "Seeing friends and such." Friends was used rather liberally. Given two were former professors and one was her boyfriend, which was something much more than a 'friend'. But...Messer didn't need the details. He probably didn't want or care for the details. So...'friends'. "How about you? Doing anything fun and exciting?"

"I wouldn't be offering if I was going to hate it. Trust me." Because he had been the one to bring it up initially, not her. So really she had nothing to worry about.

Family. How to describe them... "Well, I'm an only child, so it's just me, mum, and da. We live outside of Aberdeen. That's in Scotland, in case you didn't know." Where was she from, anyhow? This seemed a serious oversight on his part. She had been under his leadership the whole year, after all.

"My parents are basically dedicated to two things in life: me and the Abraxans. So we all get doted on quite a bit." Despite that, he somehow wasn't a spoiled brat. "But da can be pretty stern at times if you get out of line, he's pretty serious. Mum, on the other hand, loves a good laugh." He was more like his mother than his father in that regard.



"Thanks! I--" he stopped mid-sentence. Something had just registered in his brain. "What do you mean?! Are you not trying out next year? No! The team needs you!!!" He was panicking. No Treyen. No Lewis. Now no Lyssie? That was half his Championship team!

His palms began to sweat and his heart to race. His first instincts told him that this had to be some sort of cruel joke, but the look on her face told him otherwise. And the matter-of-fact tone in which she spoke didn't help.

"When did this happen?" And more importantly, WHY DID NO ONE THINK TO MENTION THIS TO THE CAPTAIN??????



Keefer was amused as Oakey snorted a bit. Well that's something you don't hear every day. Not that it was something to be embarrassed about. It was just funny, that's all.

"Well, mum and da raise Abraxans. You know, breeding and stuff." Or perhaps he didn't know? Had they covered that in Care of Magical Creatures at all? "I usually help them out quite a bit during the summer. That's when the babies come, so an extra hand is always good." He wouldn't go into any details. That would probably just serve to gross everyone out during their meal.

"I don't see him; but I think I'll stay where I am... It got to busy over there for me. I prefer one on one talk. Kinda like this." He smiled up at her, "And if you do want me to leave, don't hesitate to say so, I'm use to being brushed off; and a new friend, it is nice to have." His smile grew, the only three people this year he ever truely talked to at this school were Max, Maxwell, and Taylor. It was nice to have someone different.

Fine, Ellie Stone. She was going to smile because it seemed the only way to get the girl to stop looking at her like that. And because she didn't want anyone else spending the feast without one on their face because of her.

The smile tweaked up the corners of her lips, though it wasn't reaching her eyes just yet.

It became a little more sincere when the girl said she'd be around over summer. "Good." That was good to know. Arya still wasn't sure if she'd be around, or where she'd be really. But she'd figure it all out back in London.

Actually, Treyen liked his answer. That's what he would've preferred too. Then again, he wasn't too much into Ancient Runes, and well, honestly...Treyen may have chosen the dog, mainly because he could have Quidditch tickets whenever. So, the Head Boy nodded in agreement...but..., "The Chudley Cannons are doing pretty okay," Rapunzel Black was their top Chaser, anyway, "I don't think they're quite the underdogs, truth be told." They weren't at the bottom, so, all good.

And the other kid, Nate, lived in London, then Oakey was entirely correct in his assumption. "Definitely. Will be seeing each other a lot more." A lot more than the previous summers, which was true, considering they've met outside of Hogwarts, right? Treyen didn't know.

Before Treyen could answer a very cheerful 'I've no idea', Lewis turned his attention to Kurumi.

Which was fine, he'd sort of given him permission in some sort of way. Permission to both leave their just-started conversation, and permission to fight for the girl he liked.

The Head Boy was still keeping his eyes on those two, though, not so obviously.

That's what he was hoping, yes, but he was just going to do what he liked the most. And he couldn't believe Lola was one of the few to blame for that. Though, Hadley was the one who triggered it all, to be honest.

The Head Boy nodded, "Hopefully." Might as well be honest. "Movies, yes...TV, not so much." Plays would be best, he loved those. But...time will tell.

BUT TREYEN DIDN'T KNOW THAT EITHER! He was just assuming the monkey will head down to their Common Room in search for him, but there was no way of knowing if such a thing will happen. Though, he doubted Mo had gummy bears with him. "Probably." Chances were he will. "That sounds like a plan." See? The Seeker was already thinking ahead. Good.

And...he frowned. "Sorry...but...the lip-biting...," even Arya must know she didn't do that, "...it's not you." Hence why she was freaking him out. Gladly, Ellie was trying to make her smile, but Treyen knew that whatever smile came out of his best friend wouldn't be a genuine one. Except...perhaps he could make that happen.

Turning to his best friend, he smiled, "We'll be seeing Aaron soon. And Sabel." Now, if she didn't smile with that, then he had no idea what to do.

This one didn't hold out her pinky when she mentioned the promise, which brought him to think that Ella did take promises way too serious. For an eleven year old, anyway. Now Treyen was smiling and nodding, "Promised." Without a pinky-promise scenario. But he'd still keep it.

"See you around, Glenn." Then he watched her as she walked away. Back to her friends. Much like Ella and Sophie had done.

Good girls. Hopefully they won't change.

Nothing was wrong?? That didn't fool Treyen, but he wasn't asking any more questions about it. Probably some private business Louisa didn't want to talk about. And much too glad he was that she didn't want to. It's not like they were THAT close to begin with.

Oh? Congratulations? "Thanks." He smiled, lightly, trying to forget the fact that she wasn't doing okay. Her eyes suggested so. But he'll try to let that go and act as happy as possible. "Why, thank you, Louisa...I wish you all the best as well." Honestly, he did.

And she was also apologizing. Again. "Don't be. It's okay. All forgiven." All the awful words she's spoken about him were completely in the past. It was the present that mattered.

HE GOT ANOTHER HUG! Which didn't seem awkward to him, truth be told. He even smiled, widely, when she spoke near his ear. Memories of that day flashing in his mind. Then the hug was returned from another on his behalf when he stood up, "So did I, yet you were Louisa all along." No point in doubting that.

Treyen broke the hug and looked at her, "You be good, okay?" To everyone.

'Seeing friends and such.' Ouch much? Wasn't she forgetting her boyfriend in that sentence?

After giving Louisa the hug, he sat down next to Ellie. The same spot he's been sitting all night. Except for the one at the Slytherin table, that is. Then his hand was on his girlfriend's. She'd better not forget about him this summer.

Alyssa turned to see who had sat next to her. It was Alec. She smiled at him. "Hi Alec, are you having fun at the end of term feast? I see that you're all Mr. Popular here. Well remember don't let it get to your head okay? Always stay gold, Ponyboy."Alyssa reached over and gave him a hug. She was going to miss him the most.



"Yes I like it very much and I can't wait to try it on my brothers. Me? One of the best witches here. You have to be seriously kidding me. I'm a regular witch like everyone else. Nothing special about me at all." Alyssa frowned when she said that. 'Yep there's nothing special about me at all. Never was, never will be. My parents were totally wrong when they said I would make a difference. So totally wrong.' Alyssa thought to herself feeling the sadness overwhelm her again.



Alyssa smiled at Oakey's enthusiasm. She was glad that he was over his belief that he was a bad luck charm. It was nice to see him relaxed and even optimistic about playing Quidditch next term...even though she wouldn't be there to see him play."Then we've got a deal. My family and I will make sure that you're Quidditch team material by the time we're done playing with you. So don't forget to OWL me when you get the chance and I'll get someone to bring you over."Alyssa reminded him.



Alyssa felt bad for Keefer. "I'm sorry, Keefer. I'm not sure whether I will be coming back next term. Things have happened this term that has gotten me thinking. Don't get me wrong. I love Hogwarts and I love all you guys on the team. You are all my best friends, but somehow I don't feel like I belong here. I feel that no matter how hard I try, I'm not making a difference and I want to make a difference so bad. But I know that I can't force it. It either happens or it doesn't. It is because I'm feeling this way, that I don't think that I might be coming back next term. Maybe this feeling will disappear during summer break and I hope it does. But if it doesn't, then I just wanted to let you know that you have been an inspirational and great Quidditch Captain and don't let anybody tell you otherwise okay?" Alyssa smiled through the tears glittering in her eyes, which she quickly wiped away.

"You don't have to worry about that." Good with the pillows? He's damn good with pillows fight. Just ask Alec. His roommate already experienced Messer' deadly pillows.

"Yeah because something family could be so annoying." Not that he didn't like spending time with his family but sometime his father get into his nerve. "That or the owl eat it first." Was owl like ice cream? But who doesn't, right? "Of course we have ice cream where I live." You could practically found ice cream anywhere but different city different flavour. "Five." Or four? No she's five.

"Oh. I see. I just thought you won't leave Hogwarts before touching the Cup first." The young badger won't blame him if he did that. Really.

Then his gaze when toward Alec or rather the Gummy bears. Wait! Keefer gave his roommate gummy bears and he didn't? Really Keefer? Now he understand why he likes Ellie better. But his Quidditch Captain didn't need to know that, yes?



...And Alec thinks he's weird? Messer thinks his roommate WAY weirder than him.

"What stuff?" SMIRK. Oh the joy. He gonna missed teasing Alec while summer. "Who's Rilez? I didn't say anything about Rilez." Come to think of it he never mention any Rilez, yes? No? And now Alec was smiling. "I think you need to check yourself to the healer, mate. I'm concern." See. Alec was weirder than him.

"Annoy you? No. When did I ever annoy you?" Just a little teasing here and there. And for sending him a fanmail.. "I'm not one of your fangirls, mate." So no he won't send his fellow firstie a fanmail. "Oh you don't? But now you know" Then again he never mention about his sister to anyone aside from Alice. Pffft. Like he could do that. Please.

Ellie could kiss Treyen anytime she like but just not in front of him. His poor eyes can't take it anymore.

"I hope you have AMAZING summer." Messer was pretty sure that Ellie' summer will be more fun than him. "If you consider babysitting exciting then yes." So yeah no fun and exciting summer for him.



They said that he never really pay attention to his surrounding, he always denied it but till this moment he understand why people said something like that. Messer failed to notice the Hufflepuff female Prefect. But Arya seems a little gloomy not like Arya he knows.

"Arya!" he hugged his female prefect. "I'm going to miss you." He really really gonna miss his ice cream buddies. "Good luck for verything you want to do after Hogwarts. And don't forget me, yes." Because he sure won't forget her.

Minerva smiled and looked at Ameliah "I don't know the more claws you meet like Ameliah the more time your going to spend in the common room without us." she grinned knowing he would never leave her. She was sure of that one, and felt a little guilt knowing she could say or do anything without him leaving. Maybe that's why she jumped at him so easily knowing it would never push him away. "So Ameliah how have you liked your first term here?" She then looked at Harvey and then around the hall. "This is ridiculous" she said with frustration returning to her face. "I'm over this." she pulled out a parchment. "Is Frost packed yet?"

Minerva smiled "Well that sounds great." she had placed her hand on his without realizing it. "Your family sounds wonderful. It will be nice to meet them." she realized where her hand was and quickly took it away. "Sorry.. anyway, I don't know much about Scotland I have never been there. I had never been on this side of the world before Hogwarts actually. I'm from the States, well I guess I can't say that anymore. I guess now I'm going to have to say London since I will be with my grandparents."

Minerva looked around no she didn't seem him either. Then she listened as he said about staying and she couldn't help smiling at this until he said about her wanting him to leave and she felt herself want to touch his shoulder to hold him to his seat, but she refrained remembering he doesn't like it. "No, no I am enjoying our conversation and I love having you as a new friend. So don't go anywhere if you don't want to. So what is your favorite class here?" she all of the sudden wanted to know more about him.

Keefer just stared at her as she delivered her speech. He felt as if Hufflepuff was being slighted. How could anyone live in our House and not feel as if they belong? He had thought that their House, perhaps above all others, did a good job of including people, making them feel wanted and appreciated. But here she was, saying that she didn't feel that way at all. He had never expected this from her of all people. Who else feels this way that I don't know about? He scanned the table automatically, wondering the whole way down.

And then there was the whole 'I'm not making a difference' bit. This he understood a bit more. "First, you have made a difference, even if only on our team. Second, you can't just give up because you haven't turned the school upside down after a year or two. These things take time. Don't quit, Lyss." He put his hand on her shoulder, looking directly into her eyes. "Don't quit."



He winked. "Who says I will?" he quipped, already forming plans to get in one last look before the train pulled out tomorrow. But thinking of the Cup made him think of something else. "Oh, Messer, I gave Alec a bunch of gummy bears. But he really shouldn't eat them all by himself. Think you could help him out with that?" he grinned, the question only half rhetorical.



He glanced at her hand on his. Eh...? he thought, right before she took it away. Treyen could have a girl all he wanted, but he, Keefer, would never understand their ways.

"You've never been to Scotland?" he asked, confused. "Where do you think you're sitting right now, Min?" he laughed. Maybe no one had told her Hogwarts was in Scotland? "But I've definitely never been to the States. What part?" Oh, maybe she didn't want to talk about that, given her trying year. He back peddled. "I mean, you're going to love London. You can go to Diagon Alley any time you want! And there's tons to do in the Muggle world as well," he finished, hoping he had not made her dwell on the past.

Harvey listened to Minnie and frowned a little as she spoke and grinned... and then a smile crept up on his face as he realised she wasnt serious "Oh Mins.. you know that no matter how many friends I have you will always be at the top of that list of friends.. I can manage my time and I will be able to spend time with you as well no matter how many friends I make!" he said smiling.. she then asked Ameliah about her first term before looking back at him and then around the hall looking fustrated.. he wondered why.. she then asked about his owl.. "No.. no he isnt packed yet.. he gets packed last.. why?" he saw that she had a parchment in her hand.. oh no.. what was she going to write now? "Oh you... you are sending a letter?" he asked.. wondering what was up now.. she was fine until now and suddenly she wanted to use his owl to send something. "Hang on I will go get him" he said as he stood up.. just then he noticed his owl fly into the Hall with a little package.. Frost landed in front of Harvey and he took off the package and saw that it was fresh owl treats from his mom.. and the way that his owl was pecking at his hand he knew Frost wanted some.. so he took some out and held out his hand for him to eat.. "Well here you go Mins.. Frost is here.. you can use him" he said as he watched his owl eat.. still wondering what Minnie was going to write on that parchment.

Minerva smiled "Oh that's nice. My favorites are potions.. I know, I know everyone always thinks I'm crazy but I actually like Lafay." she chuckled waiting for the reaction she usually got about potions. "I also love transfiguration. Hence the always changing hair.." she giggled as she pointed to her hair. Minerva then thought of a question she wasn't sure if she should ask. "Can I ask you something, if it is crossing a line let me know." she hesitated "I love your look, don't get me wrong, but you seem so shy and don't want to be center of attention, so why not dress to blend in?" she knew why she did her hair and left the snake bites call put in, but she wasn't sure with someone that was so to them self.

Minerva turned a shade of red "Oh" she looked down "I guess I never realized that." she felt dumb for not knowing where she was exactly. "I guess living in a muggle world for so long you don't know certain things." she shrugged. "See my dad was a muggle, I didn't even know mom was a witch until I started having weird things happen and they sat me down and explained everything." Minerva gave a smile she loved her home, well her old home "Well dad was in the army so we moved to different places. My favorite was Tennessee. Maybe someday if I go back you could go too." she looked down she still had her dad's family there anyway. Minerva looked at Keefer and gave a little smile "I'm a bit excited to stay in London, I mean it will be easier to see friends, and since I really didn't know mom's family I get to learn an entire new world basically not just what I see here." She could see he was trying not to upset her. She started fidgeting with her hands and felt a little nervous for what she was going to say. She looked at the table instead of making eye contact "Thanks Keefer, for well everything this term. You have been a great captain as well as a friend. Don't worry asking me about my family. It's hard, but I like to talk about my muggle life, it's all I knew before here." she looked up and smiled a little at him.

I agree time for some answers." he said as he looked at Frost eat his last treat.. then looked at his owl "You know who those are to be delivered to.. off you go buddy" he said to him.. as he spread his wings and took off.. and Harvey watched him leave "Poor guy.. he will probably miss hanging out with the other owls of Hogwarts.. he wont be able to wait to come back here." he smiled a little as he watched his owl fly out of sight before he put the little package into his pocket for later.

He watched as her face grew red. "Don't worry about it. You're not the first one who hasn't realized that. And if you're from the States, you probably wouldn't realize that such a long train ride would take you out of the country." Because America was really big, wasn't it? So that long of a trip wouldn't get you anywhere near another country for most people. But Keefer really didn't know that much about the place across the ocean. Especially this 'ten-a-see' place. He contented himself with a smile and nod.

But apparently she wasn't getting upset talking about it, because she started thanking him for his friendship. "No problem, Mins. Not sure I've been the friend to you that you needed, but let me know if you need anything over the summer." Though it sounded as if her grandparents probably had everything under control. "You'll like getting to see how Wizarding homes run, seeing a different side of our world other than just Hogwarts."
