Logan grinned. "Yup! Work-freee!" he said, doing a sort of dance while sitting in his seat. "My plans? Well I'm just hanging out with many people basically." he said shrugging.

She smiled widely when she said 'ice cream.' Ice cream was a given. "And you? Do you have plans?"
Logan grinned as she leaned in, making his heart skip a few beats. "Date? Oh...deal." he said laughing. "Okay." he said with a nod. Logan laughed. "It will be hard to keep up with...but it'll be worth it!" he said.

Minerva smiled at Oakey "Hey Oakey long time no see. Have a good summer if I don't see you in DA or anything. Great job this term in Quidditch wish I would have been around to be able to play."



"Well I haven't been much for social this term so sometime quiet sounds good time me." she smiled at Damon she liked him he seemed like a nice person to be friends with. "I thought you two were.." she stopped and looked at Damon and Taylor "umm I guess I didn't know you two were related." she had heard Tay call him her cousin. So much for the triangle she thought was going on.



"Well maybe you will think twice next time." she looked at Harvey then smiled "Ok I'll drop it just this once." she bumped into his shoulder joking. "If you want to hangout this summer I need to know your not going to go through my purse when I'm not looking." she laughed at her little joke then leaned into him. "You aren't a very good tracker dear if that is what you were trying to do."



Minerva smiled at Laura "That sounds fun. I will hangout with you as long as you don't figure out how to lose points during Holiday or something." she winked at her friend hoping she would know she was just joking. "I'm not sure yet. I don't know if my grandparents or my cousin will be taking the position of guardian now that I'm on my own. So we will see. Owl me when you want to hangout."


Ella smiled widely at Minnie when she agreed with her. It was nice to have someone that had her back, even about the small stuff. Minerva really did feel like an older sister.

Oakey simply shrugged his shoulders when Ella scolded Laura for what she did. It was really nothing personal. two young students from different houses snogging at another houses table was just odd and unwanted. I'm sure If I was snogging with a Slytherin at the Ravenclaws Table I'd get the same thing.

Why were they saying kissing? Kissing is for grown-up people who actually love each other. How long does a relationship between two young students last anyways, Oakey'll never get it.



Oh I was there. Oakey told Minerva, I'm just naturally invisible during classes.

Was she the player Oakey filled in for that one time? I only played one game He reminded her, but it was a great one. Maybe next year you and I can play together.


Ella just nodded at Oakey. She understood that the kissing made them, him and Laura, feel uncomfortable. Ella just didn't like the way Laura went about it. It was mean. "I know. I guess I just think she could have said it nicer." Shrug. Everyone was entitled to their own opinion and Ella was done discussing hers. "Anyway, hope you had a nice term...besides the whole skrewt thing..." She gave a small smile at this, recalling the incident and all Oakey's yelling.

The little badger blushed as she hear Logan repeat the word date. She didn't know why she had said the word but he didn't seem to mind or anything which made her feel a little better. Ella then nodded enthusiastically about the owl exchanges. "It will be worth it. Maybe I'll even owl you some candy!" She bounced a little as she said this, excited about the idea. "A candy gram for candyman. Sounds about right." The first year said, laughing.

Summer and ice cream did go well together! Ella smiled, agreeing whole-heartedly. How could she not? The first year chuckled when Alec asked about her gram. She wasn't exactly sure how to explain the woman. "Well, we live with her and she's unique...She's part of a theater group and she puts on shows in our sitting room with her uh-players. And she likes to sing opera while she cooks and wear funny hats on Sundays for family dinner. Oh, and she likes to curse at the postman cause she thinks he reads our mail." Yup! That was good ole gram. She smirked, wondering what he would think of all that. "Yup, summer will be busy."


Ella was happy before but after Alec mentioned the thing about 'pillow fights', his fellow first year seemed to practically be beaming with excitement. Or, at least, that's what it looked like to him. "I didn't know you liked pillow fights as well!" He had only ever had a pillow fight with Messer back in the boy's dorm at the beginning of term. But, if Ella liked pillow fights as well then they could, as Ella suggested, have a pillow war next term! "A pillow war... I like that idea! It can be a boys vs. girls war." He'd have to warn Messer and swap tactics.

Alec smiled. She was modest, Ella was. Like a true Hufflepuff. "Well, take a look around at the table," he said, looking around himself at all the chatter, the singing and... wait, was there some kissing going on?! O___O "Erm, yeah, everyone's happy and you helped to make that happen." He was awesome? Really? Alec ruffled his hair slightly. The only person to have called him 'awesome' was Anya but that was in the best friend's description, wasn't it? Right. "I'm glad we're friends as well," he said. Imagine going through Hogwarts without any friends?

Alec blinked as he listened to Ella's description of her gram. "She sounds like a really interesting woman," Interesting seemed like a bit of an understatement right about now. The woman was absolutely cool! The sound of opera reminded him of those big women who liked squishing him in his Dad's vet clinic. ... Ella's gram wasn't like that was she? Even so... "Is she a witch, your gram?" he asked.

But anyways! Enough about his best friend. This was a celebration and a feast so maybe they should be talking about things like their summers? Yeah, that sounded about right. "So do you have any plans for the summer?" You know, apart from bombarding him with owls about random stuff.

Alec smiled. It was good that Treyen knew what he wanted to do. Alec didn't know what he wanted to do after Hogwarts but... he had plenty of time to think about that, right? Right. But Treyen was telling him what he wanted to do sooo... he'd better listen and take notes.

... What was WADA? But Treyen said a word he did understand! Act! "So you'll be a big actor? Like on TV and movies?" Alec grinned. He could tell his Dad that he knew a famous actor! And he could get an autograph and show it to his Dad! This... was a plan. He just wouldn't do that now. Not until Treyen told him everything.

Oh! Rufus was staying! "So I get to see him?" he asked, his face immediately lighting up at the thought of the little pygmy... pygmy monkey? Was that what they were called? "I'll have plenty of gummy bears ready then," he said. Rufus could come visit anytime! As long as Messer didn't mind. ... Eh, Messer can grow to like Rufus as well, he was sure of that.

The twelve year old stood up and wandered over towards the older boy, who already seemed to be pretty crowded by people. Eh, it didn't matter to him. He could still say 'hi' right? Keefer wouldn't mind having a twelve year old around him would he? Hopefully not.

"Hey!" Alec said, excitedly, "I thought you weren't coming down, you know." To the feast, that is.

Harvey smiled he knew that... yeah life was too short to make plans.. though he had made plans during that summer that he had no choice but to break and let go of.. now he too lived one day at a time.. it had hurt when his plans were broken.. so she was right it was better this way "Yeah I know.. I agree with you.. one day at a time is best.. yeah I learnt that the hard way too.. dont worry I understand.. people make other plans all the time.. and you are no different.. all I can say is no matter what you do.. just enjoy your summer." he smiled.. yup he understood that. One day at a time. no plans. He then sat there listening to others talking around him.. could he ever leave this place even for a little while so that he could get a break from everything.. sometimes work got a bit too much and he just wanted to run.. he hoped his third would be a little easier so that he could have at least ONE relaxing year at school that he could just enjoy. Woah wait! did someone say they bred winged horses.. sooo cool! Forget the future.. he was now interested in that!

Don't worry about that Oakey said, full of confidence. I'm gonna train everyday this summer to get the feel of the broom again. In all honesty Oakey had the feel of the broom, it never left him. I'll make the team or die trying.

Laura giggled at Oakey, she was starting the like the boy, though he was older than her by a few years or so she thought it was, she was going to spend more time with him if she could. "I can do better than that." Laura giggled.

She stood up and started to sing. "WHO LET THE PUFFS OUT? WHO? WHO? WHO LET THE PUFFS OUT? WHO? WHO? HADLEY LET THE PUFFS OUT" There Oakey see if you can do better than that.

Alyssa managed a feeble smile. She was glad that Oakey was looking forward to his Summer. She was going to miss talking with him. As for the bet, it was an easy one, only thing was Alyssa wasn't sure that she was coming back next term. But she wasn't going to tell Oakey that. "Sure I'll take that bet. I hope that everyone has a great summer." Alyssa told everyone at her table.

As for her, this summer would be spent seriously thinking whether she would be returning back here. So as the others talked among thrmselves, Alyssa sat quietly looking at each and everyone of her friends, trying to remember all of their faces just in case she never saw them again. The little badger blushed as she hear Logan repeat the word date. She didn't know why she had said the word but he didn't seem to mind or anything which made her feel a little better. Ella then nodded enthusiastically about the owl exchanges. "It will be worth it. Maybe I'll even owl you some candy!" She bounced a little as she said this, excited about the idea. "A candy gram for candyman. Sounds about right." The first year said, laughing.
"Oooo! Candy?!" he asked, bouncing with her and laughing. He grinned. "Caaandy gram for candyman...I'm gonna make that a song!" he said laughing.

Great! Oakey said happy that she would agree to the terms of the bet. I'll have a way better summer now. That's right! He already had a surprise waiting for him at home and he was going on vacation to America. No way Alyssa could top that.

"Is she a witch, your gram?" he asked.


Ella smiled, nodding her head. "Oh yeah, they're a lot of fun! The girls and I had quite the pillow fight in the dorm this term." That had been a lot of fun, especially when Sophie's pillow started to float mysteriously in the air above her head. Heh. Oh and Alec liked the pillow war idea? "Brilliant. Hope you boys are ready for a good battle." Yup, the girls wouldn't go easy on them. "How about the losers make the winners ice cream sundaes?" Ella suggested, bouncing a little at the idea. "That is if the kitchen is open to students again."

Ella followed Alec's gaze as he looked around the Hufflepuff table. Yup. There was no doubt about it, everyone was pretty happy and it was awesome to see. "I guess you're right." It was actually nice, knowing that she had helped in some small way to create all this excitement and happiness. It made her feel pretty proud. The first year simply smiled when Alec agreed he was glad they were friends. It was good to have that sorted. Ella wanted as many friends as she could get. Life was simply dull without people to share your experiences with.

Interesting. Hah. Ella smirked at that word. She definitely was interesting, unlike any other person Ella had ever met. "Nope. Actually, none of my grandparents are." Ella was the only one so far to show any signs of magic, something she loved and hated. "Well...I never really met dad's father so I guess I can't speak for him. I like to think he was a great wizard though. Or maybe a super hero! That would be even better." Because thinking great things about her paternal grandfather beat thinking he was a mean old man who left his family to move cross the ocean.

Ella's mouth dropped wide open as Oakey began to rap. She was surprised and amused by it. He was quite good actually, something she hadn't expected. "I didn't know you could rap..." Maybe he led a double life and had this entirely other rapping persona. That would be wicked!

Harvey smiled and listened as the puff table became a singing table with people celebrating a great year for Hufflepuff. He bobbed his head to the beats of the songs that were being sung.. it felt nice to hear music .. well people singing.. he hadnt heard anything in a long time.. so to hear some singing was good.. and these two WERE good. Well he enjoyed himself while it lasted.

Nonsense. Replied Oakey to Laura's request to let girls win. I never back down from a challenge against anyone. He smiled when Laura giggled, glad to see that he was being very entertaining. Thanks Laura. I've got more songs I know, but I don't want to waste them all today. He was unsure why Laura enjoyed his singing so much, his voice was awful when he sang.

Really Ella thought he was a good singer too? Wasn't his voice breaking glasses and shattering windows. I can't rap. Oakey replied quickly. I just had a lot of free time before I came to Hogwarts. What better way than to fill up time when you Foster Father held wild rave parties than to practice crazy dance moves and rap songs he overheard years ago.

It had to have been NEWTs. That had taken up a good chunk of her time, studying for them and all. "I will enjoy it." It was more a promise to herself than to Ellie. Because this WAS her last and she didn't want to remember mopping over things that couldn't be dealt with until she was back in London.

"Make sure I see you before you head back here." Ellie was one of the few that the graduating Hufflepuff wanted to see over the summer, and one of the few she would be writing. After all, most all of her friends graduated years ahead of her.
