Evelyn gave a bright smile. Now, she hadn't been expecting that at all. "Thank you. I'm seventeen now..can you believe it? I feel so--" Hey, wait a minute. They shared a birthday, right? Whoa. "Happy Birthday to you, too!" She stood up again and gave him another quick hug. "Eighteen, huh?" Evelyn continued to smile.

"You brought me a present as well?" Evelyn asked, her eyes shining with excitement. A present. Evelyn LOVED presents! She quickly opened the small box and....CUPCAKE. "Treyen..thank you so much! I mean, it's so nice of you to remember." She faintly remembered mentioning something about how she would love to eat a cake on her birthday..wow.

Yes, she was confused, wasn't she? But once she realized what he'd meant...he chuckled. Had she honestly forgot that he was supposed to give her a cake for her birthday?

He still wasn't fulfilling his promise, considering a cupcake was all she got.

"Yes, you're now of age and completely responsible for whatever you do with magic...or whatever you don't do." Since she pretty much preferred all things Muggle, no? And, he accepted the hug again, mainly because there was no reason NOT to, and because he was in terrible need of those today. If only Cassie was around...

...yet the boy still smiled, "Thanks." Yeah, eighteen. He was entirely responsible for himself now. Only one nod was the reply to that.

Ugh. Evelyn felt really bad. How could she forget to get him something? She thought for minute before she said, "Well, I think you should have a bite of the cupcake." Just a bite, mind you. Evelyn did not share cakes or cupcakes but yeah..she pushed the box towards him with a smile. At least, this would make her feel less bad.

Liked chocolate? PFFT. "I love chocolate." Evelyn stated. "It always makes me feel better."

"If you're sure." Evelyn said, with a small shrug. If he didn't want it..well, it was fine with her. She immediately picked it up and started munching on it. She took a couple of bites and said with approval, "It's really good." She was definitely going to give him a present the next time she met him. If not for the birthday..at least, for the cupcake. "Do you know how long it's been since I've had a cupcake?" AGES. Yeah. Literally ages.

"It was alright." Evelyn said, shortly. She wasn't sure if she wanted to dump her personal problems on him. She placed her half-eaten cupcake back in the box. Ugh. Thinking about that letter made her feel slightly depressed and not even want to eat her cupcake.

Why? Why did her family have to be so annoying? ><

Ella headed down to the great hall and found an empty spot at her house table. The first year sat down and placed her elbows on the table, resting her chin in the palm of her hands. She wasn't even sure why she had come down, though it was probably better if she try and eat something. Maybe food would even help cheer her up a little.

Laura hadn't seen Ella and she was bored at the minute, how could she make this interesting oh yeah. "FOOD FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Laura had wanted to have a food fight for ages, she grabbed a jug of pumkin juice and tipped it over the person next to her.

Laura was shocked to see that it was Ella, she had gotten, "I'm.." Laura couldn't continue she was to busy giggling, this was perfect and with no Prefects around this could be fun, she then grabbed hold of a Pie and throw it at someone else, hoping it would hit someone.

Adeline walked gracefully into the Great Hall. She had finally found her glasses and she was still trying to figure out how she found them when she is blind without them. She really needed to talk her mother into buying her contacts though her mother hates her already so lets not give her another reason to hate her. Adeline looked around the room and all of a sudden her face was plastered with a silly grin. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to makes friends. According to Alec she was nice, sweet and some other stuff. So why couldn't people be friends with anyone? Because she didn't want to get close to anyone for the fear of being hurt and for the fear that her mother or father would hate that person.

But the issue so far is that they hate Alec. Was it because Alec is a boy? There isn't anything wrong with boys. She knew the whole cooties thing was a fake that most parents would make up to make sure that their children would have that many friends. That's just so rude and mean to do to your child. Why would parents do that?

It's like the whole Santa Claus, Easter Bunny and many other myths that they do to give their children presents. There is no reason for mythical creatures like that to be made up and then in the end when you tell the child that they don't exist they get all mad and start crying and this their parents are lying to them.

Adeline shook her head. She wondered why she was thinking like that. Why she was thinking what she was thinking. It w as odd of her to think about something like that. She looked around once more and the silly little grin disappeared from her face. She knew she wasn't able to make any friends at all not even her own kind...Hufflepuff.

Sure, a food fight sounded like loads of fun. But Logan wasn't so sure that it was allowed or not, so he pretended not to notice the flying pie and began piling his plate with food.

Amelia was really enjoying dinner tonight. It had some of her favourite foods, and she really should be watching her figure. She was already thinking abotu her wedding dress, and needed to fit in it. She couldn't be a fat bride. :/

She giggled to herself and raised a spoonful of mashed potato to her mouth when... SPLAT!

Pie hit her right in the face. "Who threw the pie?!?!" She was mad now.

Seeing the pie hit another girl, Logan got out of his seat and walked up to the girl who wanted to start this stupid food fight. "Excuse me but can you please stop? This is getting out of hand." he said calmly, taking some more napkins and handing them to the other girl who had gotten pie thrown at her.

Not food being thrown about. Especially pies. It was just so carnival like, it was unacceptable. There was no carnival around here from what she could tell! Slowing down her pace, Medea raised an eyebrow and stared at the students. Mostly the pie covered ones. That was indeed a good question. "Yes, who had thrown the pie?"

Laura looked at the new girl that had entered the room and sighed, she hadn't meant to make someone so upset, she really wished that she hadn't done anything to the girl to make her so upset. "I'm really sorry I wasn't aiming for you personally." Laura hoped the girl would be feeling better soon.

Laura still had a pie in her hand and took a step towards the girl when she suddenly lost her balance on the floor and the Pie went flying.

Laura couldn't believe where the Pie was heading, it was going straight towards the Professor. "LOOK OUT." Laura sighed, oh dear she wasn't sure the Professor had time to get her wand out, she was feeling very nervous now as she saw the Pie go flying in the direction of the Professor.

Looking down the rest of the students in this group, her gaze settled on the first year just as the young boy said her name, and just as a particular pie headed straight towards her. Good Merlin. Laura Hyde.

SPLAT!

Eyes squeezed shut, and pie all on her front. Ehh.

"Miss Hyde..." Even if she couldn't see, she knew the Puff was still there! Raising her hands, Medea wiped away some of the pie pieces closer to her eyes. Now she could see the girl. "Explain, please."

Laura looked at the Professor. "I was eh...eh...eh." Laura was trying her hardest not to laugh at the Professor, she looked weird covered in pie. "Well I was eh..eh, bored and decided that..." Laura put her hand over her mouth to try and control the giggles that was coming out.

Once she had succeeded in controling herself she spoke again. "Well I was bored and I decided I wanted some fun and I saw the pies and just throw then, and I poored Juice over my friend Ella, I'm sure she didn't mind though." Laura was sure it was just the Gryffindor Boy that minded about that, was he an admirer of Ella's?

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed, now for the interesting bit. "Well I was going to make sure I didn't upset the other girl too much, but then I slipped and you came in and then well you got covered in pie." Laura stared at the Professor seriously if it wasn't for the fact she was the one that had accidently hit the Professor with the pie she would have been laughing hard now.
