Tyler slowly made his way to the hufflepuff table, head hung and reluctance in every step. This was not happening to him. He did not want to wear stupid girly yellow ties and be a sissy badger. He was suppose to be in Slytherin! The hat had gotten it so very wrong, yet he said he was never wrong, he was making a very big mistake...very very big mistake. His bottom lip quivered as his big blue eyes looked at the table he was suppose to be sitting at. Chatting sissy people wearing yellow. His eyes clouded over with tears.

"I don't want to be a stupid badger!" She muttered angrily as he plopped down on the bench. It was official..he hated Hogwarts and he wanted to leave now, right now! His mother would be receiving an owl tomorrow.

Tyler looked back at the sorting hat and scowled at everyone who got placed in Slytherin...bloody show offs.

"This is stupid!" He said pushing all the silverware in front of him to the floor.

She calmed down, when they little boy shook her hand. It was a good thing he didn't spit on it because if he did, she'd honestly have a fit. Which wasn't something anyone would want to see, and those that had seen her in a bad mood knew exactly how terrible it was. "I'm in se..I mean third year." it would take her a while getting used to saying third instead of second. She couldn't believe she was already in her third year, this meant that she just had fourth year left and then she would start with her owls. "I'm guessing your a first year." It wasn't a question,it was a statement seeing as it was almost too obvious that this little boy was a firstie.

There was a stomach growl again, but this time it wasn't hers. Nessie giggled as she realized it was Messer's stomach that was growling. It seemed to be that she wasn't the only one wanting the food to come. "You hungry too?" she asked the little firstbie.

Still no food eh? Nessie sighed. What excuse would the elves have this time? Couldn't they use their brains and know that most of the kids were probably starving. She bit her lip as she continued to watch the sorting. It wasn't that exciting to her anymore. It wasn't like there was anyone that she knew that was getting sorted. Either way she had nothing better to do that contnue watching.

It was when she saw an older looking boy, that her stomach started rumbling once more. It wouldn't shush, ever since she had arrived at Hogwarts it just kept on rumbling and growling. She blushed a little from embarrassment and then smiled at the boy as he sat near by. "Oscar..hmm...nice name." she said keeping her dashing smile. It felt good to smile for a change. "Im Nessie." and with that she extended her hand to him for a shake.

Daisy turned her haid to the boy next to her, one she had seen on the train. He looked extremely lost still, and kind of alone, even though he had to be at least a 3rd year...
'Hi Oscar,' Daisy grinned, looking at him, 'I'm Daisy Tucker, in 3rd year. How haven't I met you already?' she asked, thinking she knew basically everyone in her house and year.

'Nessie!' Daisy grinned to her friend, noticing she was also talking to this Oscar boy. 'I haven't seen you for ages,' she said, 'how are you?'

Jory watched in surprise at the first year's anger. He was bewildered as to the reason until he heard what the boy muttered. "There's nothing wrong with Hufflepuff," Jory thought, defensive of the House he loved very much, as he saw the new student scowling over at the Slytherin table.

Jory was looking about the Great Hall to see if he could spot Ari,when the first year pushed the silverware in front of him with an angry outburst.

"You there," Jory said quite calmly "That's no way to behave on your first day here. Hufflepuff is not a bad House, you know.''

Minerva looked up at Harvey "I'm sorry, because you shouldn't have to be dealing with all this drama. Your being a great friend to so many, but no one is stopping and asking how is Harvey handling all of this. I put a lot of weight on your shoulders telling you at the cave and none of our other friends know. I know the images in my head I was there, but I couldn't even imagine whats going through yours. Then with the group seeming like we are splitting apart it just seems a bit much even for someone as strong as you." Minerva was proud at how she could hide her anxiety her voice wasn't even shaking anymore. Then Ame came and sat next to Justin. "Hey Ame.. Umm Ame if we get a chance I really think you and I need to talk."

Right, he could go back to the stool when everyone else got done with their sorting and demand that the house hat resort him or he could just go with the other students to their common room and pretend the whole hufflepuff thing never happened.

There, plan A and plan B.

He looked up and frowned at the sound of someone's voice. Was he talking to him? Of course he was....Tyler scowled.

" Yeah well I hate this sissy house." He folded his arms across his chest and pouted."

louise walked into the great hall, it was great to be back, she had missed Hogwarts, it was no fun at home she could not do magic, she could not even fly, she sat down at the table, and looking around at her house, she was going to try and make friends this year

Daisy looked up, had some sneaky Slytherin slipped onto the bench? Because someone was complaing a little too loudly about Hufflepuff. Well, thought Daisy, hopefully they were prepared for the attack of the angry Badgers....
'Oi, get back to your own table,' Daisy frowned, looking over her shoulder. The order was followed by an awkward 'Oh' when she realised one of her own house had said it.

A first year, typical. There was always one, she thought. One who wanted to be in a different house... but what was wrong with Hufflepuff anyway?
'This is not a sissy house,' Daisy said stubbornly, 'it's a great house, and you should be proud of it. Plus, our common room's near the kitchen,' she winked.

Jory scowled at the boy. "This is not a sissy House!'' he retorted, wishing the boy were in another House. "You'll just have to accept it and learn to appreciate this House''.

But young Huffie was sure this new kid would soon start appreciating Hufflepuff.

For a second Messer thought that the older girl gonna say second but then she said she's a third year. Another older badgers, eh? "Cool..!!" he exclaimed. "Are you looking forward to your third year?" Because he's looking forward to his. Particularly quidditch. "Yup I'm a first year." he answered it anyway.

His cheek were tinged a slight shade red when Nessie asked if he's hungry. That only mean one thing the older girl heard his stomach growling. Merlin that was embarrassing! "Yes. I'm sorry about that noises." Bad tummy! "Are you hungry too?" he asked Nessie.

Messer still looking to his still empty plate. When they'll serve the food? He's hungry. Me wants foods.!

Clang!

He looked up when he heard silverware clashed into the floor. "What's stupid?" he asked the boy who look like a first year like him and the boy seem didn't like to be in Hufflepuff. "Here." he gave the boy another silverware. "You might need this later." he told the boy.

"Oh I hope it's as exciting as I've always heard! I think maybe Defense Against the Dark Arts might be my favorite, but I'm not sure. Transfiguration could also be a favorite, if I can get the wandwork right. What about you? What class do you think you'll like the most?" Jessie jumped at the chance to continue her conversation with Sophie, silently hoping that it would keep her mind off of her very hungry tummy.

"Oh, thanks!" Jessie gratefully took the chocolate frog and began to munch on it. "So, what happens if the sorting hat takes too long with sorting a person? Does that person not get sorted?" The thought horrified Jessie. What if she had not been sorted!!

What was up with these badgers? They were so defensive...sounded like Rhea when she talked about her stupid HufflePuff house. He wanted to be a snake like Oliver...not some fluffy cutesy rodent thing. He sighed and lazily waved her away. He had important things to do here...like sulk over his misfortune of being placed with the sissies.

"Yeah yeah..I'm sure you think that...sounds like you need more convincing than I do." He flicked another fork away.

Tyler blinked repeatedly at the boy for a while before even attempting to answer him. Now he got it...there was something in the food at this table. They someone poison you into thinking that this sissy house was a good house or something. He made a mental note to not eat anything at all from the hufflepuff table. Too risky.

"You're mental you are, I'm going to get them to switch me over." Or they would be hearing from his mum..oh yes.

Ah lookit..someone his age. The boy actually managed a smile for the first time since being back from th stupid thread head sorting hat. What did that silly thing know about him anyways?

"This house is stupid.." He said grumpily. And he wanted out..so badly.

He looked at the silverware that they boy returned to him and turned away from it." No I won't be needing those..I'm going over there.." He pointed to the slytherin table.

Harvey listened to what Minnie was saying and he knew that she understood he was suddenly struggling with all of this.. it was ok when it was just Minnie and her pains.. but now Justin and Ame as well!! well that was getting too tough for him.. but he was holding on as best as he could.. he wanted to hold everyone together.. but he knew he would need to ask for some help... or..... NO! Never think that way! .. it is not a route he wanted to go down.... anyways he carried on listening to Minnie.. "Mins.. dont you worry about me.. I am ... fine.. dont worry about me.. I am doing fine." he lied.. he couldnt have Mins worrying about him to see if he was handling all this ok... so what he was stuggling.. he needed her to be strong again.. so that IF and when the time came she could do the same for him.. if needed.. so he smiled to show he was ok.. and then he saw Ame come sit next to Justin "Hey Ame." he said as he heard Minnie say they needed to talk... oh oh. But he noticed this was a different Ame than before.. she was more stronger and cheerful now that she had arrived here... he wondered what brought on the change.. well that was 1 weight off his shoulder.. he didnt have to worry about supporting Ame as she seemed to be doing fine.. but now there was Justin and Minnie.. and he would do it.. he had to..

Jory stared at the boy. "They're not going to switch you over. Once you're sorted into a House you have to remain there. The Sorting Hat's never wrong,'' he said. "Talk about mental,'' he said to himself.
"Do you have to be so rude?'' he asked aloud as the first year turned way from a friendly gesture.

It has nothing to do with you, Min. Just some stuff I need to sort out for myself. I suspect I'll be in the library quite a bit this term. " he joked.
" Thanks. " Justin said with a smile as he took a seat next to her.
"Mins, trust me. Everything'll be alright. I just need some time." Justin smiled.
" Hey, Ame. How are you doing..... I do miss having you by my side and that smile of yours. " Justin admiitted openly.

Arya? Hm... He made a mental note to talk to Arya about Abraxans if the opportunity ever arose. Which may never happen, but it wasn't terribly important.

He understood the BigHead Boy's confusion. It was quite inconvenient. "Yes, we do. My parents usually need to buy things in Diagon Alley for our steeds and I enjoy getting to see all my friends. Most years we just get a room at the Leaky Cauldron for the night, some years we travel by Floo powder the morning of and just use Muggle transport to King's Cross." Unless they were out, which was the majority of the time.

A bit surprised at the hug from Alyssa, Keefer gave her a smile. "I have been anxiously awaiting coming back. I love Hufflepuff and Quidditch too much," he said, winking a bit at the last bit. "Yeah, I got the badge nod." No matter how undeserving he felt of it. He was determined to do the best he could. He saluted back to her. "At ease!" he said, laughing somewhat. "I better see you at tryouts, soldier!"

Minerva gave another hug and kissed his cheek "Well you shouldn't be putting all our problems onto you. It's not fair to you. So if it is ever to much just tell us to stop." She would have to do better at this anxiety thing in front of him she decided she was seeing the worry in his face.

Minerva smiled "Well you will probably see me there then" it was going to be her place this year, because it will have less people around. That should help her anxiety. Minerva thought about the books in the library hoping their words could take her to a knew place. She looked at Ame and then to Justin "I would still like to speak with you alone if we get the chance." she didn't show emotions she just looked at him at little concerned, but she knew she needed to speak with him, not just because of the Ame thing, but about a few things that have been going on.

Harvey listened as Justin tried to reassure everyone he was fine and just needed some time.. then Minnie hugged him and kissed him.. "Dont you worry sweetie... I will tell you .. I am just happy that I am here with you... so I am good.. dont worry about me." he said as he kissed her cheek.. he knew she could probably read him like a book.. and hoped she wouldnt start hiding things as it would be harder for him to help her through all this.. and thats what he wanted to do... was help.. she was his girl and he was going to help no matter how hard it was for him.. he would do anything to help her..

" Nieat. Maybe we could talk about what we're each going through. I hope that I do see you there. " Justin said witha smile. It had seemed ages since he actually gave a genuine smile. He was definately feeling better all ready.

Elliot smiled pleasantly at the girl. They had met at the ice cream shop, and Elliot had taken a liking to the girl. She seemed nice enough, and from a good family.
"So, you got sorted into...Hufflepuff. how...charming," she commented with a slight smirk.

Amethyst smiled and waved at Minerva and Harvey. She giggled when Minerva asked to speak with her. "Anything for you, your Highness." She smirked, winking at her.
"Hiya, Harvey!" She smiled, nodding to him.
"I'm just fine, Buddy. Just fine," She nodded, smiling. She blushed as she spoke, "And how are you, Mister Wellheart?" She flashed this gorgeous smile no one had ever seen before.
Amethyst smiled, giggling. "Like I said before, Miss Wheatborn, I'm at your service this term." She looked at all of her friends, "You all too." She wasn't thinking her at all now. Not that she ever did.

Minerva couldn't help smiling she shook her head. "I really think that with you three always around me." she made sure to look at Ame when she said this as well. "I might not need my medicine after to long." she really did feel more at ease when they were around her. Minerva took Harvey's hand knowing he was going to be shocked at what she would say next. "Justin I hope we do find time to speak I think that all of us need to talk about some hidden pieces to this summer to better understand everything." she looked away breathing a bit to calm down again. She was going to tell them what she told Harvey and she hoped that both Ame and Justin would talk more to her as well she hated feeling like they were keeping things from her or feeling threatened by her. When Ame called her Highness she blushed a bit "I'm far from that." she looked at Ame what was going on with her friend. One minute she was so upset and acting mad at her the next she was her best friend again. Minerva was so confused by this.

Chasery just came into Great Hall when she heard someone complained about her new house. "what's wrong with that boy? Isn't being Hufflepuff isn't too bad" she thought. She walked to that boy straight away. She couldn't sit when someone called her new house like that.
"Yeah..why don't you tell them soon?so, they can switch you over now?We don't need people like you anyway.." she said to the boy who was about in her year. She was going to leave them but then she turned again.
"Who are you think you are?Don't be such a silly boy. Sometimes we don't always get what we want. So, face it.." she said. She left them alone again and began to find her new friends.

Harvey smiled as Minnie and Justin talked about meeting in the library "Well I might join you sometimes.." he said smiling. Then he listened Ame speak to Minnie before Minnie spoke and he then beamed as she said she may not need her medication "Well thats.. great" he said to her beaming.. she then took his hand into hers and gave him a shock as she said that she would fill in the hidden pieces of the summer.. he then gently squeezed her hand.. he would support whatever decision she made.. "Mins are you ready to tell them?" he whispered into her ear... if she was,, then he would by her side when she did.. he smiled as she blushed at being called Your Highness "Well you are not far from that in my eyes" he said to her.. as he looked at her.. she was his Princess and would always be that to him

Oh so the boy can smile. Messer returned his smile.

He said their house is stupid? So he's right after all the boy didn't like to be put in here. The eleven years old boy didn't know what to say to the boy because he seem pretty upset and usually upset people won't hear anything what you say. But he understand how the boy feel right now because he'd feel the same as him if the hat put him in other houses.

He followed the boy finger. "The Slytherin table?" Was that even a good idea? He heard some of the snakes not really fond with a Hufflepuff. "So you want to be a Slytherin?" Its not a question more like a statement. "Why Slytherin?" he couldn't help to ask
