The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

She wanted to hit her head against a post or something, but she didn't.
She stopped right in front of this guy, the Huffle quidditch captain, and smirked up at him. "Hello. My name is Elliot. Elliot Morganzo. The pleasure is mine," she introduced smoothly, especially for an ickle twelve-year old. She wouldn't tell him it was a dare; no, she would let him think it was her own mere bravery.
In mid-sentence with Treyen and Alyssa, Keefer heard someone start talking to him. He turned around to see a small Ravenclaw girl. "Hi Elliot, I'm Keefer. Nice to meet you," he said, slightly taken aback. "Can I help you with something, or are you just making the rounds, meeting new people?" If so, she was far braver than he was as a second or third year.

"It should be, we have you as Quidditch Captain." Another hint for Alyssa to attend tryouts. She'd been a great player last year. It'll leave Treyen off the hook of Seeking if plenty of people tried out.
It'd also be nice to mention to the new Captain not to mention Quidditch in front of his girlfriend too, but he wasn't going to talk about it right now. Not the place, and certainly not the right time. Maybe later.
Keefer sensed that Treyen was avoiding talking about his last year, since he had failed to mention it on the train as well. I would be unsure of how to feel as well. I'll just drop it.
As for the Quidditch... "Well, I hope I do a decent job. But that can only happen if last year's players try out again and we have some fresh talent." He threw out a hint for Alyssa, hoping she would pick up on it.
Keefer was one of the first ones into the Great Hall, but not the very first. As the dull roar of hundreds of footsteps erupted in the entrance area, he spotted two Hufflepuffs that beat him, both of which he knew. He made his way over to the table and slid in on the bench next to Treyen and Alyssa.
"Hey Treyen, Alyssa. It's good to be back, isn't it? This year should be great!"
After the sorting hat shouted "HUFFLEPUFF!" Jessie was more than a little let down. She was a Wealsey! She was born to be a Gryffindor...right? But after a glance at the hufflepuff table full of people cheering for her, she decided to give it a try. She sat down next to an older boy who just so happened to be wearing the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain badge! What luck! Quidditch was her absolute favorite wizarding sport! She might even try out...well, one day. Jessie was in a battle with her shyness over whether to say hello to anyone or not.

"HUFFLEPUFF?!"
HUFFLEPUFF!
"No I can't be in Hufflepuff! NO!" The first year freaked out. This house wasn't meant for her! No! This was for her. No!
What the heck is a HUFFLEPUFF?!
Adeline looked around at the other Hufflepuff's at the table around her she must've looked like a loon.
"Hufflepuff is not for me I don't even have any friends. How can I be loyal and just?"
Oakey remembered her, the timid first year who was quite and gave him a hello at Hogwarts express. except she wasn't sO quite about this. NO WORRIES! come here and sit with us and WELCOME TO HUFFLEPUFF!
Sophie was glad to see that there were some more younger people around. She was excited about her new house, but wouldn't dare to start talking to older students. She knew better, since she went to a regular muggle school before going to Hogwarts.
"Hello! I'm Sophie! How do you like our new house??" she said looking at both Nate and Jessie. She could see the boy wasn't really pleased and didn't know what to think about the shy girl that had just sat down.
"Hi, Sophie! I...I think I'm still getting to used to things around here," Jessie answered timidly. Sophie was quite an excited girl, an extrovert for sure.
Harvey entered the Great Hall and looked at the Hufflepuff table where he recognised his friends.. and he looked at the Ravenclaw table.. mm.. he looked back at the Hufflepuff table,... yeah he would rather sit there .. so he made his way to the Hufflepuff table and saw Minnie and smiled.. he sat down next to her. "Hey Sweetie.." he said to Minnie.. before giving her a hug and a kiss on her cheek.. he then turned to his other two friends "Hey Alyssa.. Hey Justin.. good to see you both here.." he greeted his two friends.. he always found it strange that most of his friends were from Hufflepuff but he didnt mind.. they were still friends no matter what house they were in..
" Hey, Harvs. " Justin said as he gave a weak wave. Justin watched the fist years being sorted . But he was somehow disconnected from what was really going on around him.
In mid-sentence with Treyen and Alyssa, Keefer heard someone start talking to him. He turned around to see a small Ravenclaw girl. "Hi Elliot, I'm Keefer. Elliot felt so totally out of place. She had never had a fondness for the...badgers. She had actually, in the comfort of her Ravies, made fun of them! And now she was here, surrounded by them.
Ack.
But she didn't show it. She was very good at this.
Keefer? "What an odd name, Mister Keefer," she replied before she thought about what she was saying. She mentally slapped herself, but she simply smirked on the outside. She wouldn't apologize; she was above that. So...maybe he would admire her...spunk? If you could call it that?
She called him 'mister' because he was...well, older than she. And she felt weird calling him just...Keefer.
"Oh. Um. Well. Seeing you across the room, I decided to introduce myself. You should probably get to know me, since I will rule the entire world one day. Count yourself lucky, Mister Keefer," she snapped back, her cold, drawling voice not cracking. Maybe he would think it was a joke.
But it wasn't.
Oh, Elliot.

Keefer was surprised to hear the Sorting Hat yell 'Hufflepuff' for someone with the last name of Weasley. He was even more surprised when the girl sat right next to him. Shoot, what was her name... Did the Hat say Jessie?
He smiled down at the nervous-looking girl. "Welcome to Hufflepuff, Jessie," he whispered, not wanting to disrupt the Sorting any more than necessary. "I'm Keefer, a sixth year and the Quidditch Captain." Normally with a firstie he would ask if they knew what Quidditch was, but the girl's last name likely meant she already knew.

Wait, is she serious? She wants to rule the world? Keefer didn't know what to make of this girl. Even if she had seen him and decided to introduce herself... why him? Why not Treyen as well, sitting right next to him on the bench? I better not have a little girl with a crush on my hands he thought, repressing a shudder.

"Hey Minnie. It's so good to see you," Alyssa leaned over to hug her. "Where's the rest of the gang?," she looked around and not seeing them.
Minerva looked around "I don't know where they are. I guess they will be here soon." Minerva noticed Alyssa had more friends around her so she decided to just sit quietly hoping to control her anxiety with so many people around.

Adeline heard a girl start to ramble about being in Hufflepuff and other things that she really didn't care about but she listened anyway because she really didn't have anything to do. She wasn't in the house that she wanted to be in.
"Nice to meet you." she told the girl. "I'm Adeline Holiday."

He wouldn't know, because Arya was the one left to deal with this ever since he almost made a girl cry a few terms back.
"Er, you okay there?" he asked, tentatively approaching the girl.
Adeline looked around and saw a tall person who was older than her. She looked up at him.
"No I'm not okay." she told him. "I didn't want to be in this house."

DID THE GIRL HEAR SAMMY?
THEIR COMMON ROOM WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE KITCHEN!
If that didn't make Hufflepuff the best she didn't know what would. But Hufflepuff was already the best. So Sammy had no idea what this girl's problem was. But she wasn't about to be rude and go all crazy like she did to Amy when she revealed she was going out with someone who wasn't Everett "Nice to meet you too Adeline" she said happily. Before adding "You did hear me say 'right next to the kitchen' right?" she asked, because someone who wasn't excited by that was like Katie and that made them weird. Then again Sammy liked weird people, they were so much more interesting than that of normal people.

Chandler gave Treyen a warm grin, "Treyen! I was with Kaia, like...I always am." He looked at him like he was supposed to know this and he was supposed to know it! But right now he wasn't with her and honestly, it wasn't often that this had happened. Chandler didn't even mind because it was nice to spend some time with other people. "But I wasn't with 'er all ze time zough, I did walk around for a bit on ze train just to zee where my friends were. What about you? Or were you in ze Prefect's compartment all ze time?" Heh, it must be cool to be part of it, especially being Head Boy. Chandler couldn't have thought it was a better decision to have Treyen as the Head Boy this year, he deserved it.
"We, my friend need to zee each other more." Considering this was their last term.
By the time he'd finished speaking, Treyen was looking at the empty space next to Chandler. Always with Kaia? An eyebrow was raised at that statement. So much for 'always', right?
"No, I walked around as well," the most puzzled look on his face. Both of them had been walking around...and didn't meet once. That's what the Hogwarts Express was like. Odd at times. But he did meet the weirdest bird he's seen to date. Vincenzo was the owner's name.
He wasn't going to mention that he'd walked around more than usual because he didn't want to think this was their last year at this school. And being on one place granted him that thought.
"I'm always up for it." But Kaia takes all of his time. Or most of it, anyway.

The smile on Treyen's face simply widened. "That's the spirit!" Nate should go and cheer that girl that was complaining of being a Hufflepuff. "You'll like it here." He finally said, nodding once.

There was something Treyen forgot to ask on the train, since he'd been too focused on the badge the other Hufflepuff boy had. "How was your summer, Keefer?" The train rarely gave enough time for everyone to discuss their summer properly. Or future plans for that matter. He'll have to finish that conversation with Kurumi some other time.

Yeah, Treyen could see that. His question was probably the last one a person should ask her.
Seriously. He didn't have as much patience for this as his best friend did. And he was most certain that the Head Girl didn't have to deal with this situation this girl was putting him in. "Clearly." That was his reply.
The Hufflepuffs around her seemed to be a pretty friendly bunch, eh? And yet she still managed to give him that answer.

Ah, the question he was bound to hear a hundred times in the coming weeks. "I'm not sure yet. Now that I'm back at Hogwarts, I'll have to talk to Professor Vindictus about that and schedule some time." Wait, she probably doesn't know him. "That's the Flying and Quidditch Professor," he amended hastily. "Why? You interested?" he asked, genuinely curious.

Minerva looked at Harvey and tried to smile she was playing with a fork not realizing it. "Ummm I.. well..." she scanned the room for no reason. "I'm not doing well to be honest." she said quietly. "I'm not sure where my bag is with my medicine I think it's with my trunk."
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Oakey doesn't like frowns, He grinned the biggest grin he could possibly grin. Turn that frown upside down he told her. [B]Let me reintroduce myself, I'm Oakey Richard Gunter, Third year Hufflepuff, and unofficial Boggart slayer. he thought back to his first year experience. He didn't have any second year memories since he spent so long training at controlling his bad luck. He reached out and gave her a firm and friendly handshake.

"Who doesn't belong in Hufflepuff?"Miss Puff Prefect had wandered a bit more than usual when the train finally arrived in Scotland, still in no hurry to rush her last opening feast. Nor consciously think of it as such.
She'd come in after many of the other students and skipped over to her friend, taking a seat at his side. The surrounding students got curious glances and distracted greetings. Why was their Head Boy telling people they didn't belong in their house?!?

Isobel reached the Hufflepuff table with a smile on her face. She was not the first one there, but she was not exactly the last either. She cheered with the rest of her house as the first years got sorted and additions to their house came and sat down. Finally, Isobel had a chance to contemplate her surroundings. Sammy was sitting near her, as well as a small person who was freaking out about being sorted to Hufflepuff. Isobel frowned slightly, because Hufflepuff was obviously the best house, but she stayed silent for the time being. And them she spotted a young-well younger-person that she had not seen for a long time. "Hey Oakey," she said with a grin on her face. "Where have you been?" Invisible? Isobel did not remember seeing her little buddy all last year.

Harvey watched her play with her fork when she scanned the room and quietly talked to him.. he suddenly realised what it was... he smiled "Well I am here.. its all ok.. nothing will happen to you with me around.." he said smiling as he whispered in her ear "I love you Sweetie.. and nothing will change that" he beamed at her as he sat up.. she was his girl and nothing was going to change that.. but he was worried that the group being torn apart would tear him apart sooner or later.. and he was afraid of that and what would happen to Minnie... he had to stop himself from being torn apart..
"You should've told the Sorting Hat before getting sorted."Smirk. Who was the one that once said that the Sorting Hat takes into account which house one wants to belong in? Well, whoever had been...gave Treyen a reason to smirk about.
No, this wasn't reversed psychology. "I actually agree with you. I don't think you're a Hufflepuff." Why, he was such a charming Head Boy.
Adeline cocked her head to the side. "You can do that?" she asked him. "Why don't you think I'm a Hufflepuff?" she asked him. "I'm Adeline Holiday." she introduced herself.

Adeline looked at her. "I heard you about the kitchens." she told the girl. "I'm not used to eating so much. I'm always on the run or getting my lunch taken away from me." Adeline told her.

[QUOTE=hpluvr037;10848109]Ah, the question he was bound to hear a hundred times in the coming weeks.
Intersted?! Of course she was interested in Quidditch!! She spent the summer playing keeper for her brother. He never let her play anything else. "Yeah, I'm interested. What positions are open?" 'Shy Jessie' must have left the building the second Quidditch was brought up. She was amazed at her lack of shyness, especially with a sixth year.
