Carigan sighed "Well, I can't stop you, but I'm not going to do it." She said. This may possibly have been Carigan's first real responsible moment.

Laura got up off her hands and looked straight at Carigan. "What's wrong?" Laura had gone all serious, she had been looking forwards to having a walk on her hands race with Carigan but Carigan had ruined it. "Okay Carigan we won't do that." Laura smiled, though what they were going to do Laura didn't know.

Carigan suddenly got an idea. "What if we had a hands race outside? Atleast then the ground is softer than the stone here." Carigan said gesturing to the window and the floor. She didn't want to ruin their fun but she didn't want Laura or herself to get hurt, expecially when the healer was scaaaary.

Laura looked at Carigan and giggled. "I think that would be better." Laura smiled. "You know I think that healer would eat us if we hurt ourselves having fun." Laura laughed, she didn't think that the healer was nice and she was 100% sure that the healer was scary.

Carigan nodded, after what had happened with her burn she had gotten from the fireseed bushling she was SO not ready to face the healer with an injury from reckless fun-having. "Let's go!" Carigan said and grabbed laura's hand and ran from he door and up towards the entrance hall.

Alyssa was lying on her bed taking a nap, when she felt something wake her up. Something was crawling inside....HER NOSE!! She sat straight up and pulled it out. IT WAS A TONGUE...that, when she pulled on it, led all the way to her sock drawer. She picked up the tongue and walked it back to her drawer and opened it. Nerfball quickly slid his tongue back into his mouth. "Nerfball what I did say about not sticking your tongue up people's noses."Alyssa couldn't help but laugh, because Nerfball gave such a look of innocence. "Yes I know that it was your tongue. I followed it remember? I am sorry though. I did promise that I would feed you some and I've not been very good at my word on that nose booger thing." Alyssa sniffed her nose. Well it still was running a little. So she pulled out a tissue and blew hard it into and then opened it out flat and gave it to Nerfball.

He immediately bounced on it and his tongue just went absolutely crazy. "You'd better take your time eating that Nerfball, because I'm all out of it for now."Alyssa giggled. She took him out of her sock drawer and brought him over to lie with her on her bed. She took a small little comb and started brushing out his hair, making sure that she removed any knots that may have formed. She brushed off the crumbs of food, that managed to get itself stuck in his fur. Then leaving him on the bed. she took out a rag, and poured some water on it and cleaned his face. Again he squirmed when he came into contact with the water. "I'm sorry Nerfball but you are going to get your face cleaned whether you like it or not. Don't worry I'm almost done." Alyssa told him softly. Laying aside the rag and the brush, she cuddled him in her arms and tickled his tummy. He purred his low hum of contentment.

"I am going to miss you when I have to return you to the Sanctuary. You have been such a well behaved and good companion the last few days."Alyssa started to tear up. Nerfball bounced up to her face and rubbed her nose with his, before sticking out his tongue and licking up her tears. "Are you trying to make me feel better, Nerfball," Alyssa sniffed. "I promise that I will come to visit you every day and I'll bring you lots of stuff you love to eat. I just wish that I could keep you."Alyssa whispered to him. He snuggled into her shoulder and looked up at her with his cute sorrowful eyes. Then Alyssa got an idea. "I wonder....I wonder...Maybe the Professor will let me keep you. What do you think? If he said yes, will you stay with me? I promise to take good care of you." she asked him.

Nerfball gave a loud but low squeek, "SQUEE...SQUEE..." and bounced around. "Is that a yes? Well then I would love to keep you. Let's hope that the Professor will allow me to." Alyssa smiled holding Nerfball in her arms as she drifted off to sleep again.

Janice was reading her book when she suddenly remembered that Transfiguration Homework is due in 2 days. She quickly scrambled off her bed and made a mental schedule while searching for the thimbles. I'm going to make the vases today, she thought, and tomorrow I'll test it, fill it with flowers, and--"GOTCHA."And put it around the school. Yep, that should do.

She as she spread the thimbles on her bed, she counted them. "Five," she said to herself. "I'll make 4 vases, 3 for homework and one for the dorm, and I could certainly bring the last one home. Or send it to Jamie." She snickered at the thought, wondering what would her brother do to it if she really did send one to him.

She readied her wand, and pointed to one thimble. "Floreneo."

Laura had allowed Carigan to drag her into the castle and back towards their common room, once there Laura had raced into the girls dormatory and ran to her bed and took a couple of towels out of her bag, she chucked one over to Carigan and then started to dry her hair with the towel, she knew she would have to brush it again but at least her hair would be dry, she would have just used her wand but she didn't want to make a mistake like she had when trying to help Aaron.

Carigan accepted the towel from Laura and began the long process of drying her LONG hair. It took a long time for her to dry it but it eventually was dry enough to brush out. She took her big brush and began untangling her locks.

Ella walked into the first year dormitory, dragging her book bag on the floor behind her. She smiled weakly at her fellow first years as she finally made it to her bed. She dropped her bookbag on top of her trunk with a loud THUD and sat down on her bed, pulling her knees to her chest. She was exhausted but refused to sleep, wary of the nightmares that would undoubtedly wake her again.

Laura smiled at Carigan and quickly got changed and then did her hair, she made sure her wet clothes were somewhere where they could dry, she couldn't be bothered to use a spell. "That was fun Carigan." Laura giggled. "We seriously have to hang out more." Hopefully Carigan would want to do that.

Sophie walked into the the first year dorm with her Pygmy Puff Lavender on her hands. The first thing she saw was Carigan and Laura drying their hair with towels. They looked... sort of tired but happy. "Hey there, you guys! What have you been doing??" Whatever that was, it seemed fun!

Sophie made her way to her bed and noticed Ella. The girl didn't seem to be happy. Well, at least not as happy as Laura and Carigan, at least. "Is everything alright, Ella?" She asked her friend while placing Lavender on her bed and petting it.

Laura looked around and saw Ella had somehow come into the room without her seeing her. "Hi Ella." Laura smiled. "Are you alright?" Laura was still brushing her hair and making sure she looked okay now, food could wait.

She turned to Carigan. "Come on Carigan, we need to cheer up Ella." Laura giggled, hopefully they could cheer Ella up.

Laura looked at Sophie and giggled. "We were walking on our Hands when I suddenly got distracted and fell into some water and then Carigan giggled so I gave her a hug and so we both decided to get changed, it was funny." Laura giggled.

Ella smiled weakly at her fellow badgers. "Hey guys," She said softly, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "I-" How could she put this to them without sounding like a nutter? "I haven't been sleeping really because I keep having these nightmares. They are really scary and I wake up all sweaty and scared." She shuddered, thinking about how uncomfortable she always was when she woke up from one of the night terrors. "I guess I'm just a little exhausted. A lot, actually."

Laura looked at Ella and smiled. "It's okay Ella, I have nightmares too sometimes, all you have to do is remember they aren't really." Laura said truthfully. "And make sure before you go to bed there is nothing worrying you, that makes things worse." Laura said truthfully, the night she had gotten in a fight with her sister, she had had a very bad nightmare but thankfully it was just a nightmare.

Walking on their hands?? "That does sound like fun!" She wasn't sure if she could do it though. Not even if she'd ever try it...

Sophie nodded. "Laura's right, Ella. They're just nightmares." She hated nightmares too, but one cannot help having them sometimes, right? "It's best if you try not to think about having nightmares, then you'll have less of them!" She said, smiling. At least it worked for Sophie!

Ella looked at her friends and sighed. "You guys are right." Because they were and she would have given someone the same advice. "But is it normal for someone to have the same nightmares every night?" They had been reoccuring and it was to the point where Ella didn't want to close her eyes. "I'm afraid to go to sleep." She admitted quielty. "They just feel so real."

Laura looked at Sophie and smiled. "It's easy." Laura giggled as she suddenly put her brush down and showed Sophie how to do it, she went a few steps and then when back the right way. "See it's easy." Laura picked her brush back up and made sure that her hair looked okay. "What do you think Carigan?" Laura turned to Carigan, she was hoping Carigan would wait for her before they went for something to eat.

Laura turned back to Ella. "When I was around 7 I had the same nightmare, it included my sister disappearing with our parents and I was left on my own." Laura sighed, "When my mummy found out she told me I was being silly and then the nightmares stopped." Laura smiled. "Normally there is a reason for them repeating themselves."

Ella felt a smile appear on her face as she watched Laura demonstrate for Sophie. She wished she felt that cheerful at the moment cause it did look like fun.

"I think you're probably right. I should try and figure it out. Maybe I should owl my mom and tell her about it or something..." That might be a good idea. Her mom always knew what to say. "Thanks, I feel a little better now." She said with a smile.

Carigan nodded as she finished brushing her hair and then changed out of her wet clothes. "We really should!" Carigna said before looking up as Sophie walked in.
"SOPHIE! I haven't seen you in so long!" Carigan said to her. "Do you want to come to dinner with Laura and I?" She asked before she grabbed her hair and separated it to do two side braids.

Laura looked at Ella and smiled. "If you want to talk to anyone, I'll listen." Laura smiled, then thought to herself, seriously I must be spending too much time with Carigan, she's infected me with this good girl virus or something. Laura giggled as she thought about that seriously though what was wrong with her today.

"Ella you should come with us and have some fun." Laura smiled. "I'll teach you how to walk on your hands if you want to?" Laura hoped Ella was okay. "Though I ain't doing it near water, I went right in ask Carigan, she was giggled at me so I gave her a hug." Laura giggled.

Laura looked at Carigan and smiled. "I haven't seen Sophie for ages too." Laura sighed. "And yes Sophie you should come and get something to eat with us, or better still want a feast in here?" Laura giggled as she went to her trunk and took out like a big box full of sweets and other stuff. "I brought loads when I was in Hogsmeade so I could have a midnight feast one day, but well it's not the same as having one with friends." Laura smiled.

Ella smiled at the girls, thinking she really should get her mind off things. She jumped off her bed and went to her trunk, digging around for a minute before pulling out a large stash of sweets. She displayed them on her bed and smiled at her dormmates. "A feast definitely couldn't hurt..." She said, a smile forming on her lips. She loved food, well mostly sweets but still. She was sure this would make her feel better. "Help yourself to all this. Seriously, I have tons!"

Carigan's eyes got wide when she saw how much food Laura had. "Wow! You got all of that?" Carigan couldn't believe her eyes. Laura had positively everything! Carigan, herself, then went to her trunk and pulled out a big bottle of pumpkin juice. "Well it just so happens I have some pumpkin juice and cups here!" She smiled and laid it down before the girls.

Sophie went to her bed to check on her Pygmy Puff Lavender while the girls kept on talking about nightmares. Then, they all moved so fast Sophie almost didn't keep up with them. When she turned around, all of the girls were already by their trunks getting food out of them. "What a lovely idea!!" Sophie exclaimed, rushing to her own trunk and getting some Chocolate Frogs out. That was all she had, since it was pretty much the only sweet she really liked. "Do any of you have Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans? We could all eat together and see what each other got just by looking at our faces!" It should be FUN! Especially when getting a nasty flavoured one! Heh! "Oh, you guys know Lavender, right?" She asked holding up the light purple Pygmy Puff for them to see.

Carigan smiled and brought out a box of Bertie bots beans and put them between the girls. "I guess I'll go first... AH I'll take this one, it's the same colour as Lavender!" She said picking up a light purple one. she bit into it and instantly her mouth felt foamy and sort of numb and it was DIS-GUS-TING! SHe swallowed then stuck out her tongue and started rubbing it while letting out a muffled "Ew, ew, ew!"
