Laura walked into the Hufflepuff Common Room, she was bored and hadn't really seen any of her Hufflepuff friends for ages, they had all seemed to have abandoned her, well she didn't mind she'd see them again sometime but now she wanted to just chat with anyone and she didn't care who it was.

Avery was walking around the corridors and saw a girl trip over on the stairs infront of her. "Are you alright?" Avery called to the girl, looking down at her. She seemed to be in pain, maybe she ought to get the nurse.

Nate walked into the common room and sat down by the fire. He took out a notebook. He flipped open to a page in his book. It read:

The hogwarts adventures of Nate

Beneath it is a sketch of an acromantula, a chimaera, a thestral, and a fire salamander.

"Hey there Nessie. I'm glad to see you're here with Puffles."Alyssa bent down to play with Puffles. Nerfball immediately jumped down from her shoulder and started bouncing towards Puffles. Nerfball bounced against Puffles and then bounced back, then bounced Puffles again. They kept rolling around and bouncing against each other. Nerfball would roll away and Puffles would chase after him/her and then bounce on him/her. Then Nerfball would chase after Puffles. "Awwww...that's so cute. They're playing with each other. Nerfball has been feeling gloomy. I guess he/she has been missing his/her buddies."Alyssa told Nessie.

Then they both started squeeking...."SSQQQUUEEEKKK...Ssssqqqqueeekkkk...sssqqqquuuueeee ... (both in low tone)" ."Hehehehe....they are talking to each other. Wait a minute they both have the same squeek tone. Both are squeeking in low tones. Puffles is a male, so that must mean that Nerfball is also a male." Alyssa was glad that she had finally figured out Nerfball's gender. She sat back and watched as the two Pygmy Puffs played around with each other.

"Thanks for letting Nerfball play with Puffles. He was definitely getting lonely. I definitely have to get me a Pygmy Puff when I get home this time. They are so adorable and they don't seem to be that difficult to take care of." Alyssa thanked Nessie.

Daisy looked around the room to spot a girl, probably first year, who looked bored or confused. Her friends had probably disappeared, and as Daisy found, it was usually very hard to track them down in such a large castle. Frowning as she saw the girl look around, probably for someone to talk to, Daisy bounded over.
'Hi,' she grinned, trying to make the situation as least awkward as possible. 'I'm Daisy, third year, and you are...?' She asked.

Ella headed into the common room with Barnabus the puff sitting happily on her shoulder. She was carrying a plate of food from the kitchens and her notebook and quill, wanting to do a little food experiment with the puff. She found a cozy spot on the floor close to the fire and placed her things in front of her, setting Barnabus on the ground. She tickled the little yellow pygmy puff, causing him to squeak, and she laughed. "Ready for some food, Barny?" she asked.

Ella set Barnabus down in front of the plate and watched as he eyed the food. She had an assorment of things from the kitchen. There was a banana, a piece of broccoli, a sour pickle, a cookie, and a piece of chicken. "Go on Barnabus, don't be shy." She said, encouraging the puff to eat. Slowly, a tongue emerged from the little puff's mouth and headed straight for the cookie. Barnabus appeared to enjoy the taste because he let out a high pitched SQUEAKKK and continued to dig in to the treat. "Well, you clearly like cookies..." Ella said, jotting that down in her notebook. Next Barnabus went for the banana, he stopped after the first lick, as if questioning whether he liked it or not, and then continued to go after the food with ease. "Alright, bananas seem to be on your list of favorites too, I guess." Barnabus continued trying the food on the plate, taking a liking to almost everything. When he tried the broccoli though, he seemed to grow upset. He curled his little body into a ball and started to roll away from Ella. "Hey, what are you doing?!" She called, crawling to pick him up. "I guess you don't like broccoli much then?" Ella set Barny on her shoulder and finished up her notes, frowning at the broccoli. "Okay Barnabus, no more broccoli for you." She picked up the broccoli and tossed it into the fire, earning a little SQUEAKKK from Barny. "You're welcome." She said with a smile.

Daisy spotted a boy sitting by the fire, notebook in his hands and looking like he was going to read, even if nobody would listen, by the look of him, he'd carry on. Not wanting him to be lonely, and curious to know what exactly was in the notebook, Daisy walked over to him, and perched on a sofa, saying nothing as she eyed the book.

Having planned to do all of her flower arrangements at the same time, Amelia had to abandon that idea when she noticed that it had gotten late and she was starting to get tired. But now she was prepared to do her last arrangement and was wide awake.

She had her flower basket on a table, as well as her last thimble and her wand. She had set the thimble down in front of her and now thought of the vase she wanted to produce. She wanted this one to be simpler than the other two she had made had been.

Clear glass. Gets wider at the top. Lip that sticks out.

Picking up her wand, she did the movement that she was so used to by now, the clockwise circles coming so easily she didn't need to count them anymore. "Floreneo." She had her basic vase now, and she was happy.

With a point of her wand into the vase opening, she filled it with water using Aguamenti until it was full enough for her needs. "Finite."

Since this was a simple, clear vase, it would work best with a lot of different coloured flowers. So Amelia reached into her basket and picked out random flowers of blues, reds, purples, yellows, oranges, whites, and pinks. All smelled amazing. She placed each flower into its vase with great care.

Nate flipped the page. On it was the table of contents. Here is what it read:

Chapter 2: Herbology
Chapter 3: Muggle studies
Chapter 4: History of magic/Care of magical creatures
Chapter 5: Founders fandango
Chapter 6: Run in with a thestral

He then takes out a quill and writes

Laura looked at Daisy and smiled. "Hi Daisy, I'm Laura Hope Hyde and I'm in my first year." Laura smiled, hopefully Daisy wouldn't mind talking to a firstie, she had heard that some people didn't like talking to firstie but she was sure Hufflepuff's weren't like that

Ella was feeling restless so she headed down to the common room and took a seat near the fire. She looked around, hoping to see a familiar face because she was up for a chat. Spotting Nate nearby, she decided to see what he was up to. "Hey Nate," She said with a smile, "Doing homework?"

Nate was sitting thee when he her's a familiar voice. He turns around to see Ella. "You mean this? No it's a story I'm writing for my little brother. I wanted to show him that it isn't that bad here at hogwarts. He is going through some hard times. Our mom and dad are dead. They got killed by the cruciatus curse. So now he only has me and my sister. That's why I made him this. To cheer him up. Now that I'm here it feels like I have more family." Nate replied with a frown in the beggining which changed into a smile.

Ella nodded, indicating the story Nate had in his hands. She smiled when he said he was writing for his little brother. "That's nice Nate, I'm sure he'd like to hear all about-" then her eyes grew wide as Nate told her his parents were dead. "Nate I-I'm sorry about your parents. I don't know what I'd do if...It's nice that your brother has you and your sister looking after him though." Why did Ella know so many people without parents? It made her quite sad to think about. She lightened up a bit when Nate told her he felt like he had family at Hogwarts. "I feel the same way. All the Hufflepuffs feel like family to me. I'm glad you feel that way too. It's important to have family, related or not."

Daisy smiled at the girl as she introduced herself nervously, confirming Daisy's thoughts that she was a first year.
'Awesome,' she grinned, 'you enjoying Hufflepuff and Hogwarts in general then?' Sure, it was over halfway through the year, but it seemed polite to ask, and she wouldn't've minded if somebody asked her. 'And this is random, but what Quidditch team do you support?' She asked. Daisy was a Quidditch fanatic, and was longing to find more Holyhead Harpies fans.

This was too adorable. Nessie couldn't but giggle as she watched the two little pygmy puffs play with each other. It was just so nu nu and cute. The two little puff balls seemed to have enjoyed eachothers company. You could tell they we're having fun, which was why Nessie at first thought Nerfball was a female. Puffles didn't like spending time with males like himself he preferred to be with girls. She gave Lyssie a small nod. "Cute they definitely are." She said with a small smile as she looked at the puff balls again.

Wait a second. Nerball was a male? That's what it seemed like, because he seemed to be squeaking in the exact same tone as Puffles. Nessie knew for a fact that her little indigo ball of fluff was a male. Or at least that's what the shop owner had said when she bought him. "Yeah I guess they are." Said Ness with a small giggle. It was still a little odd for Puffles to be playing with another male, it just wasn't very much like him, he enjoyed girls company much more, which was why he most of the time loved Ness. "And yeah, Nerfball seems to be acting like one." Said Ness with her pouting thinking face.

Why was Alyssa thanking her? Really it was no issue at all. It was just by luck that they had met. "No problem at all." said Ness smiling once again.

Laura looked at Daisy and smiled. "I'm enjoying Hogwarts loads." Laura then smiled as the girl asked what Quidditch team she supported, even though Laura was half and half she had been brought up like a muggle since her mother had hoped they wouldn't come to Hogwarts. "I don't support any, I support a football club." Laura giggled, "The best in the world, Liverpool Fc." Laura was sure that Daisy probably had no idea who they were but well she'd just thought she'd tell her.

'That's good,' Daisy grinned, realising there probably wasn't anyone out there that hated Hogwarts. Unless they were very, very strange. 'You don't support a Quidditch team?' Daisy tried not to gasp out loud. Of course, Laura might be muggleborn, and may have only discovered Quidditch earlier in the year, but if she wasn't Daisy couldn't imagine not supporting a team. 'I don't know much about football,' she giggled. 'Can you explain it to me?'

Laura looked at Daisy and smiled. "Nope I don't support a Quidditch Team." Laura sighed. "and I can try but it's a bit hard to explain, though I have a football upstairs so I explain it outside later where we have more room." Laura giggled, she didn't want to break anything.

"Don't be sorry. I'm just happy as long as my little brother is happy. The big problem that I'm worried about is what happens if he doesn't make it into the same house as me. Then how am I'm supposed to know tht he is safe, and none is being mean to him. If I hear someone was being mean to my brother...oh there is going to be some major problems." Nate would be mad if his little bro got picked on. "Anyways do you want to read it? I didn't start the eleventh chapter yet."

Glenn danced into the Common Room from the Dormitories, her blonde hair in a plait at the back of her head. She had rushed back from the game, not having noticed the drama with the professor, Treyen, Ellie and Indy in her rush.

She had run up and collected her whole stash of lollies, Butterbeer and other assorted sweets, both muggle and not, from her suitcase and brought them down here. Anyone could have them, it was time to celebrate the Hufflepuff win!

She picked up her wand and pointed it at a small stereo she had also brought down from the Dormitories and gave a little flick. Music started playing from the stereo from a popular wizard radio station. The food and drinks were set up on a table in the middle of the room an they waited invitingly for everyone. "C'mon guys! Let's celebrate the Quidditch win!" Glenn shouted to the people in the common room, gesturing towards the food.

"It's nice that you look out for your little brother like that. Mine is only a baby but when he's older I'll do the same for him." Ella looked down at the book and then noticed Glenn dancing into the common room. She smiled at her and turned back to Nate. "I'll definitelty read it but lets party first!" She said, smiling. "I could use some sweets, want to go grab some?" She asked. She turned towards Glenn and all the sweets. Everything looked great!

"Hey Glenn, this is awesome!" Ella said, walking over to grab some butterbeer. "Hey, I have some gummy bears and such in my trunk. I'll be right back!"

Ella returned to the common room with her assortment of gummy bears and the signs she had used at the matches, she tacked them up around the common room, smiling. She loved celebrating and was eager to congradulate the players on another win.

Glenn grinned at Ella as she returned with some more lollies, "That's great! The more the merrier!" She sipped some Butterbeer from the bottle that she was holding and eyed the entrance to the Common Room. She really needed to congratulate the team that had actually made them win, hence the reason for the party after all.

Alyssa walked into the Common Room. She was in the mood to celebrate after their Quidditch win today. But no parties. Definitely no parties. She figured some music would be great. She wanted something that was lively. She quickly ran up to her dorm room and came down carrying her backpack. She dug inside her bag for the case containing the pan flute and the sheets of music that she had borrowed from the Doctor. She paged through the sheets of music until she found one that she found appropriate. Scotland the Brave.

She studied the music sheet looking at the musical notes and as she looked at the notes, she played the song in her mind. She concentrated on the song and the notes on the music sheet. She then took out the pan flute from its carrying case and placed it on the table in front of her. She placed the music sheet next to it and took out her wand. Before she said the spell, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the music in her mind. Opening her eyes and still hearing the music in her mind, Alyssa pointed her wand at the music sheet and said "LUDO TOTALUM". She then immediately turned to the pan flute and drawing a circle with her wand over it, said "LUDO SOLUS". Immediately the pan flute began to play Scotland The Brave in the correct tone and tune it was supposed to sound. Alyssa smiled and sat back in her chair and hummed along with the instrument.

Amelia still had a hard time dealing with a struggling Pixie as she made her way back to the Common Room.

*SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK*

The Pygmy Puff was struggling to get out of her hands and back to Squeakers. Even now, when she was not on the same floor as Zayden anymore. "My goodness, girl! I don't know what I'm going to do if I want to see my fiance." If they both had Pygmy Puffs that acted this way with each other... "No baby Pygmy Puffs, Pixie!" And that was final.

Finding an empty chair, she took a seat. "Time to eat my cupcake." She was a genius to think of asking Zayden for his, because she knew that he always carried one on him.

Taking the wrapper off, she saw that Pixie seemed to be letting her curiosity about the new object get the better of her. "Starting to forget about Squeakers?" she asked as she broke off a small piece and offered it to her Puff.

The long tongue prodded out and seemed to be only interested in the icing. Pixie licked away at it, but left the actual cupcake intact. "So you also like icing. Just cupcake icing? Or icing in general?" That was rather curious in her opinion.

*SQUEAK SQUEAK*

"You cant have it all, Pixie! This is my cupcake!" But she took some more icing off with her finger and offered it to Pixie, giggling when the tongue tickled her fingers.
