Entering the common room through the same corridor as the kitchens the kitchens, you will find a pile of large barrels stacked in the shadowy stone recess to your right. The second barrel from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open when tapped to the enunciation of 'Helga Hufflepuff'. (*Note: non-Hufflepuffs who tap the wrong barrel, or the incorrect number of times, will result in one of the lids bursting off and dousing the trespasser in vinegar)
Following a sloping, earthy passage inside the barrel, which will then travel upwards slightly, a cozy, round, low-ceilinged room comes into view. Welcome! Your common room is like your sanctuary. During your seven years here, your house will be like your family. The room is decorated in the cheerful house colors of yellow and black, enhanced by the use of highly polished honey-colored wood for the tables and then round doors which lead to the boys' and girls' dormitories.
Directly over the wooden mantelpiece, which is covered with carvings of decorative dancing badgers, is a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff, your house founder and one of the four Hogwarts founders, toasting her students with a tiny, two-handled golden cup. There are small, round windows level with the ground at the foot of the castle, showing a pleasant view of grass and flowers, occasionally people. As a result of the low windows, the room has a year-round sunny feel to it.

Hehe. A wide grin spread across her face at the look on his. It was all too familiar. "Of course with you, who else?" There weren't many others in the common room after all. Reaching into her satchel, she pulled out a magical camera that'd been safely tucked away in one of the pockets. "I can tell you're going to need a minute. Wanna eat ice cream during that minute?"
"I dunno. Your family perhaps." Or maybe Arya's boyfriend? Teehee..It didn't cross his mind that Arya want to put her picture with him in that frame. Messer saw Arya pulled out a magical camera from her bag. Cool! He never saw a magical camera before. Well, he saw it once but not this close. Then his eyes lit up when the female prefect offering him an ice cream Who can resist that? Well, not him. "Yes, I'd love one." ICE CREAM..!!

Ella walked into the common room and set down her bag. She looked at the front pocket, knowing the vial of potion was sitting right inside just waiting for someone to drink it. She sighed, not knowing who to give it to. I mean, most of the people she knew were in class with her so she really didn't know what to do. Looking around, she decided to try her luck with her housemates who were sitting around the common room.
Ella stood and cleared her throat, looking around the room. "Um-Hey guys...I was just wondering if-Well, does anybody have an allergy?" There. She had put herself out there and she was hoping that someone would have an allergy and then she could be all like *Bam* Here's your cure, you're welcome! She smiled, hoping someone would answer her.

Today had definitely been a hard Quidditch practice and Alyssa was just plain worn out. Even though she knew that she had to grab something to eat, she decided to sit on the sofa and rest for awhile. So she shlumped into the couch nearest to the fireplace to keep warm.
She noticed that someone had left out a plate of cookies on the table in front of her and it looked delicious, but right now she was too tired to eat.

Alec loosened his tie as he stumbled into the common room. He was hungry. And tired. And whatever else one feels when they've been dancing like a maniac for hours on end. Of course, he blamed Anya for this.
The twelve year old walked over towards the comfiest looking armchair and sat down. He should really be going up to his dorm right about now. It was late. Really late! Had Nessie's party really lasted that long?
He leaned forwards and rubbed his eyes. Just as he opened them again, his eyes landed on... cookies? They weren't chocolate chip but they were cookies nonetheless. Who would leave cookies lying around like this? Alec looked to the left. And then to the right. And then...
GOBBLE!
Mmm... Nice coo- CRUNCH! Uh oh... These weren't white chocolate chip cookies. They were PEANUT BUTTER! Namely, they had PEANUTS in them! And he was allergic to peanuts! O___O
Alec gasped as he let go of the deadly cookie. His cheeks! His poor poor CHEEKS! They were probably turning slightly red right now. And his eyes... He couldn't see much out of them. Everything was turning blurrier by the second.
"HELP!" he gasped, trying to cough the rest of the cookie out. This... was not... good.

Then she realized he was having an allergic reaction. Alyssa quickly dug in her jacket for the vial of Antillergy potion, removed the stopper and gave it to Alec.
"Quick drink this, Alec. I think that you're having an allergic reaction to something in the cookie."

Alec blinked at Lyss. Anti-who? Something they brewed in Potions class? Maybe he should have been there for that lesson. He could have gotten a vial with some of that potion in it and then he wouldn't have had to make Lyss worried about him.

"I'm just glad that we made that potion and the Professor asked us to keep a vial of it with us. Without it, you could have ended up in the Hospital Wing. So I'm really really glad that the potion worked. You need to be careful what you eat next time, Alec." Alyssa was really relieved. 'He could have died,' Alyssa thought to herself but didn't want to scare the younger boy then he already was.
She was determined that she would ask permission to make more of the potion and store more vials for future use

Ella found a nice spot on the common room floor and dropped the posters and art supplies she'd been carrying around. Flopping down, she spread the posters out and grabbed her markers. She had been thinking about making signs for the hufflepuff quidditch team for a while and today was a good a day as any to do it. Now what to put on them? She smiled, pulling the first board towards her and writing Hufflepuffs have heart

Minerva walked into the common room. She felt beat down and exhausted. She went over to her favorite chair and fell into it tossing her bag down next to her. She couldn't believe how slow she was on the field, well she knew but it was hard for her to get over. Her shoulder was still hurting from the other day's bludger hitting her as well. She closed her eyes and tried to relax near the fire.
Nate walks into the room trying to cover up the scar he got from his fireseed bush during herbology. He just hurries on over to a seat by the fire. He takes out a book hoping it would help covering the scar up.

He needed help from someone ....He looked around the common room and his eyes fell on the pretty little blonde girl sitting in his favourite chair. He smiled as he got up and walked over to her and Ella.
" Good evening, Ladies. " he said. " I was wondering if one of you might be able to help me with something? I'm looking for my girlfriend...Has either of you seen her? " he asked jokingly.

"Oh I'm just studying defence against the dark arts." He could tell she knew something was wrong. He thought just keep on answering her questions. Maybe she would get to distracted.
