Entering the common room through the same corridor as the kitchens the kitchens, you will find a pile of large barrels stacked in the shadowy stone recess to your right. The second barrel from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open when tapped to the enunciation of 'Helga Hufflepuff'. (*Note: non-Hufflepuffs who tap the wrong barrel, or the incorrect number of times, will result in one of the lids bursting off and dousing the trespasser in vinegar)
Following a sloping, earthy passage inside the barrel, which will then travel upwards slightly, a cozy, round, low-ceilinged room comes into view. Welcome! Your common room is like your sanctuary. During your seven years here, your house will be like your family. The room is decorated in the cheerful house colors of yellow and black, enhanced by the use of highly polished honey-colored wood for the tables and then round doors which lead to the boys' and girls' dormitories.
Directly over the wooden mantelpiece, which is covered with carvings of decorative dancing badgers, is a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff, your house founder and one of the four Hogwarts founders, toasting her students with a tiny, two-handled golden cup. There are small, round windows level with the ground at the foot of the castle, showing a pleasant view of grass and flowers, occasionally people. As a result of the low windows, the room has a year-round sunny feel to it.

" Of course. why wouldn't I? I love going to look at the stars with you. What time do you want to get going? " Justin ased with a grin.
Minerva sat down on their chair and smiled. "Oh we have some time why don't we just sit for awhile." she patted the spot next to her and grinned.
Justin sat in their chair with Minnie and settled in next to her. " sounds good seeing as how I just got here. How was the cake Alyssa made? " Justin asked as he took a sip of his drink.

Minerva snuggled into Justin and smiled "I don't know, I didn't eat any yet. Aaron was having to much fun with it."
" You havn't? Would you like me to get you a piece? " he said just as she snuggled to him. Justin was as happy as he had ever been in tha moment. This was definately shaping up to be the best year ever!

Minerva looked around the room at everyone having fun and she sighed. "This is just what we needed and guess what?" she said looking at Ame and Justin. "No medicine in about six hours." she smiled proud of herself knowing it wasn't over, but it was a great start.

And then... some girl he'd never met decided to congratulate him. He grinned and nodded appreciatively. 'Why thank yooou!' He pointed at the cake, 'want some?' He shook her hand excitedly, the more the merrier, right?! 'I'm Aaron, but you can see that on the cake.'
'OMG OMG OMG DIZZY!' He shouted at her, she was the only one in the room who was just as excited as he was. He hugged her back and spinned them around, jumping up and down like a two year old instead of a 17 year old. 'I AM FREAKING SEVENTEEEN!' He shouted, sipping some Dr Pepper. He would only eat Dr Pepper cake and drink Dr Pepper for the rest of his life. 'I wouldn't mind if I did!' He took a bottle of Dr Pepper.
Best party yet. 'No ketchup though, sorryyyy!'
Aaron sat down at the table, staring at the cake but unable to sit still, so he let himself roll onto the floor and crawled back up again. 'DOES ANYONE HAVE TWISTER?!' Yes, he'd beat everyone, like the Twister king he was.
Aaron hugged Alyssa back, 'BEST. CAKE. EVER! EVER!'
Really. And best girlfriend ever. He smiled around the common room, he saw at least a few faces he didn't know, but he'd know them by the time this party was over.
Alyssa was glad to see that Aaron was enjoying himself and, especially the cake that she had made him. She had to use her entire stash of Dr. Peppers just to get the flavor right, but the sacrifice was worth it, just to see the joy of glee and excitement on his face.
When he suggested a game of Twister, Alyssa quickly ran up to the Girl's dorm and came down again, carrying a box of the game. "Are you sure you want to play the game, Aaron? The last time I remember we played it, you lost....or rather I sneezed snot all over you...and then you lost."Alyssa laughed remembering the moment.
Alyssa admired Aaron. He had so many friends who were really happy to see that he had come home and even though some of them didn't even know him, he was that kind of guy who could make friends easily. She on the other hand, was not like him. She had to struggle to make and keep friends. Even Aaron. She had lost him once before, and even though he was now back and they were together again, Alyssa was still afraid that something might happen to break them up again.
She quickly shook her head. She had to stop thinking those negative thoughts. Today was Aaron's birthday. It was time to celebrate it. It was ironical though how close their birthdays were to each other. Hers would be in seven days, but she wasn't going to make a big thing about it. Nobody would want to celebrate it anyway. Like every year, her birthday would come and go without anyone knowing that she had turned older another year, except her, and she was getting used to that.

She brought out a bottle of ketchup, an evil smirk on her face, oppened it, and took a straw out. 'Spoke too soon,' she grinned, now filling herself with the stuff. 'YAAAAY TWISTER. I WANNA PLAY.'
