Entering the common room through the same corridor as the kitchens the kitchens, you will find a pile of large barrels stacked in the shadowy stone recess to your right. The second barrel from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open when tapped to the enunciation of 'Helga Hufflepuff'. (*Note: non-Hufflepuffs who tap the wrong barrel, or the incorrect number of times, will result in one of the lids bursting off and dousing the trespasser in vinegar)
Following a sloping, earthy passage inside the barrel, which will then travel upwards slightly, a cozy, round, low-ceilinged room comes into view. Welcome! Your common room is like your sanctuary. During your seven years here, your house will be like your family. The room is decorated in the cheerful house colors of yellow and black, enhanced by the use of highly polished honey-colored wood for the tables and then round doors which lead to the boys' and girls' dormitories.
Directly over the wooden mantelpiece, which is covered with carvings of decorative dancing badgers, is a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff, your house founder and one of the four Hogwarts founders, toasting her students with a tiny, two-handled golden cup. There are small, round windows level with the ground at the foot of the castle, showing a pleasant view of grass and flowers, occasionally people. As a result of the low windows, the room has a year-round sunny feel to it.

Aaron pointed from one to another, 'whaddup Daisyyy?'
He should hang out with her more often.
Alyssa was so happy with Aaron's answer that she didn't even mind him calling her Lyssard. What was more important is that they were back together again. She hugged him one more time before stepping back with a big grin on her face."So does that mean I get to tickle you, anytime I want?" Alyssa asked him.
Then Daisy walked by and Alyssa was glad to see her old friend. "Hey Daisy. It's good to see you. How's things? Did you hear? Aaron and I are back together again. I know it's weird having a boyfriend who is 3 years older than I, but I figure that with my brains, we even out in the end."Alyssa said teasingly, winking at Aaron and then over at Daisy.
Minerva smiled, "it won't take long. why don't we do it for the weekend." She leaned her head on him and got comfy putting her feet up over the arm of the chair.
" Sounds like a plan then. " said Justin. Then Minerva put her head on his shoulder and her legs up and over the arm of the chair. His arm was still around her shoulder. All was right in the world at that moment. " Well, don't you look comfy? " he said with a little grin.

Justin saw that Amethyst was starting to get back to herself. He shot her a broad smile and then gotout his Arithromancy text book and started to studying the calculations he knew they 'd be going over in class.

Brycen slowly entered the common room he always worried he might accidently run into someone if he just burst in there were after all quite a few hufflepuff students.
" Ooo.. cake.." he couldn't help himself from smiling a little. He looked around wondering who it was for.
Aaron walked into the common room, rubbing his eyes as he saw what was going on in the common room.
A DR PEPPER CAKE?!
Aaron jumped over, staring at the cake hungrily. BEST BIRTHDAY CAKE EVER. Except for maybe the Elmo one his mother made when he turned 11. 'THIS IS THE BESTEST CAKE EVER GUYS!' He shouted excitedly, jumping around in his awesome tigger suit. 'Whoever did all of this, YOUS AWESOME!' He took some cake, nomming on it excitedly. Dr Pepper cake?!
Really, Hogwarts was awesome.

Minerva smiled as Aaron came into the room. "Well I got the idea of throwing you a welcome back celebration when you came in and surprised us with your return, but then Alyssa said it was your birthday so we kind of combined them. There is snacks, pizza, and Ame made cookies, Alyssa made the cake, and there is Dr. Pepper, and other "Soda/POP". I hope you like everything." Minerva looked around at the decorations and then looked at everyone with a big smile.
Evelyn entered the common room and...blinked. It was sooo crowded and there was this guy who was stuffing his face with..was that cake? Great. So much for wanting to just have a quiet time and relax.
She made her way to one of chairs and sat down. She removed a book from her bag and started to read.

Ella walked into the common room smiling. She noted many of her fellow Hufflepuffs celebrating and remembered hearing something about throwing a welcome back party for an older boy. She looked at the cake and smiled, it was pretty amazing. "Wow! Whoever made this cake is pretty talented in the kitchen!" She looked at the writing, Happy Birthday Aaron, and decided she had better wish this Aaron fellow a Happy Birthday. She smiled as she located the boy who was eating the cake, and assumed he was the person of honor. "I guess you're Aaron? Happy Birthday! I'm Ella by the way." She smiled and then settled into an empty chair, watching the celebration unfold.

'AARON,' Daisy screamed, hugging him - yes, she'd already had several bottles of Dr Pepper in preperation for the party - 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON.' She wanted to dance around screaming, so long as Aaron was ok. Plus it would be funny if he joined in. 'YOU'RE. Well, I dunno what age you are, but YAAAAY.' She grinned, indicating the empty bottles of Dr Pepper that lay all around the room. 'Want some Dr Pepper?' she giggled, taking a slice of the cake too and licking it.
