As you made your way to the History of Magic classroom you noticed a large sign on the door.

After reading the sign you swiftly make your way up to the second floor. Once inside the lavatory you'll notice Professor Scabior standing beside the columns of sinks. Surpringsly Myrtle has not flood the washroom today and so the floor is nice and dry. "Just sit down on the floor somewhere."
OOC:Class will not start until 5pmEST tomorrow (Monday, February 20th), so feel free to post your character arriving. Just please keep chatting to a minimum. CLASS HAS STARTED! Do not post your character late (if you want to join just act as if your character was there the whole time!). Doing so will result in loss of points.

Hold on. They were jumping into the chamber? Violet tottered nervously over the hole that led to the chamber. Okay, I can do this, she whispered to herself and closing her eyes, Violet made a big leap into the gaping hole that led to the Chamber of Secrets.
August made note of the weird 'Snake language' that Professor Scabior was talking about, saying Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter used it from Salazar Slytherin. It seemed really weird to talk like snakes but August wasn't going to right out question it in the middle of the lesson.
When he finished his notes he looked back up at the Professor, or where the man HAD been. Now he was over by the sinks and then he began to hiss at them.

Oh. That's what it sounded like. It apparently was legit. August watched with wide eyes as the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets was opened. Now they were going to go in?! That horrible place was where he was going to be leading children? Maybe he wasn't fit to watch a whole group of kids after losing his own son in DA?
August lit his wand and then stepped up to the edge of the dark hole, then jumped in. His last thought was about telling Professor Schrimer about this.

Alyssa followed the others as they one by one jumped into the well. "WHeeeee......" This was going to be so exciting. She was going where not many had gone before. Definitely history in the making for sure.

So they were right in remembering the usage of parseltongue was a key factor in gaining access to the Chamber of Secrets. Yet Professor Scabior made a point of talking about how mimicing it well enough would work as well, Gideon forgetting about the third opening since it wasn't talked about as much in the history texts. And then the man walked over to the tap, stride purposefully but staying quite until a hissing sound escaped his lips.
Wait...we're were actually going down into the Chamber?!
It didn't work right away but after a second attempt by Professor Scabior, the sinks moved to form an opening to the hidden area they had just been discussing. Alrighty then, time for an adventure much like the journey to the bottom of the Black Lake. Hopefully there would be no mean tricks this time aroudn though. "Lumos." he cast, lighting his wand as directed. Here goes nothing. Gideon then walked to the edge after a few of his classmates, pausing for a moment or two before making the jump.
Glenn gasped. They were going into THE chamber of secrets? And the professor was hissing?
She lit her wand, "Lumos." Her wand let out a faint light. She hadn't quite gotten the hand of this spell yet so the light barely penetrated the darkness of the tunnel.
Glenn took a deep breath and jumped into the hole. Despite herself, screaming in terror as she went.

Oh yes. Yes! They were going into the CHAMBER OF SECRETS!!! This was what she had been waiting all lesson for! And Scabior had delivered. She hoped he knew that he'd gained about a hundred popularity points on the teaching scale for this one.
Jez ran over to the hole, not hesitating for a moment to light her wand or wait for her friends before jumping straight into it with a yell of delight. The Chamber awaits! And hopefully a dirty great snake as well!
They were...actually going to go down there. Like seriously!? Lewis glanced around the room at the others nervously, clutching onto his wand quite desperately. It seemed like they were, yes. A lot of his classmates had already gone down the rabbit hole. So this was it then. He was just going to jump into a dark hole which led to who knew where. Well, he KNEW where but in this case he'd much rather not.
Finally and with a huge sigh, Lewis moved to stand at the edge of the hole. "Lumos!" Okay, brilliant now he could see where he was going. Except no, he really couldn't. All he could see was that he was still going to jump right into complete darkness. Closing his eyes he mentally counted to three, chewing his lower lip. He really REALLY didn't want to do this.
At three he opened his eyes again and took a deep breath. Okay. Now. And with that he just took one last step forward which caused him to fall right into the hole with a girly shriek small very manly yelp.
When the professor said they were going down to the Chamber of Secrets she was a bit shocked, here eyes got a somewhat wide. Well this will be cool! Getting to go down in the Chamber! Angelina got up from the floor pulled out her wand and said, "Lumos." looking down at the hole that was the girls bathrooms sinks was now a dark hold to jump down. It seems very scary though. She will get over it though. Before she jumped she began to wonder how they would get back from down underground. Taking a deep breath she held out her wand tao she could see and she jumped in the whole down to the Chamber.

That information wasn't known by everyone, but it wasn't hard to find out. "And by someone who wasn't even a Parselmouth. So it was then that it was figured out that you did not need to be a Parselmouth to open the chamber, you only had to be able to mimic the language. And with that-" Scabior sighed before walking over to the broken tap with the engraved snake. He took a deep breath before a strange hissing sound escaped. He waited a few seconds but nothing happened. He waited before trying again, the hissing sound a bit louder.
A loud clunking sound came from the sink and Scabior took a step back. The top of the sinks lifted up and the sinks began to slowly spread apart. The main skin began to descend into the ground before it was covered creating a clear path into the dark hole. "Right, so light your wands and jump in."
OOC: Technically the lesson is over The next part is only a scavenger hunt which is your homework (though IC your charrie only has an hour in there). If you want to do it just RP your charrie jumping down the hole to the chamber in here and then post in the other thread.
Well, of course Hollingberry had pointed out something nobody had. All the professors sang praises about the girl, and it annoyed Sierra endlessly. Just once, she'd love to hear the Gryffindor girl shout out the incorrect answer. Just once. That ould be all it'd take.
She abandoned that thought process as soon as she heard a slight hissing sound followed by the opening of the sinks. Her eyes grew big. They were...going into the Chamber? Sierra wasn't afraid, but the Chamber had always seemed like such a off-limits place to be that it seemed almost odd to go down there now.
With a slight shrug, she flicked out her wand, said "Lumos," and then jumped into the hole.
Sophie once again wasn't sure if she liked this idea or not. "It's Hogwarts, it can't be dangerous!" she kept thinking to herself when she grabbed her wand and watched Professor Scabior jump in followed by a lot of her classmates.
"It's not dangerous." She said to herself, staring with wide eyes into the place the others were going down. She held up her wand. "Lumos!" Oh! Cool! It worked! With a small smile, she held her breath and jumped into the hole behind everyone else.
The Chamber of Secrets? WAS HE OUT OF HIS BLOODY MIND? There was no way on Merlin's good earth that Selina was going to jump down into the Chamber of Secrets. There was a whole lot of dead snake down there and Selina was not going to jump down there and stick her neck out for the off chance that the snake was a Mommy. Oh Merlin, DID THE SNAKE HAVE KIDS? They were all going to die. Selina was going to die... this was awful. This was more than awful this was terrifying.
"Oh bloody hell." she mumbled and then she lit her wand and jumped down into the Chamber.
