Herbology Final

Now that Spring was in full swing, with Summer hot on it's tail, it meant that lessons were coming to an end, and finals were beginning. However, there was something a little different about this terms Herbology Final, it was without a theoretical. Though Professor Bentley usually conducted both a theoretical and a practical, this year she opted for a more relaxed approach.

The Finals timetable was issued, and students would make their way down to Greenhouse Two for their individual assessment.

After calling out your name, you follow Professor Bentley into the dark refuge of Greenhouse Two, where it was a little cooler than expected, considering it was Spring. "Thank you Wasima," says Professor Bentley as the creeping ivy which covers the glass panes shivered and moved to allow some light to stream in and illuminate the work space. Bright orange glowing bushes burn before you, low embers flickering at it's base, threatening to turn the red terracotta pot into charcoal. One of them have been removed from the small collective and is set beside a work bench, this is the one you will be working on. "Of course, you remember our fireseeds from earlier in the term?" she asks simply to check your comprehension and put you at ease. "Well it's time to remove them from their pots, and plant them into this flower bed in the back here." Professor Bentley gestures to the empty flower bed not just behind you. "For this task, you will need to evaluate how you will care for the bush during the transplanting process, think about what the special requirements we discussed earlier in the term and don't forget, safety first."

On the work bench located next to a potted fireseed bush, you find a spade, a shovel, a watering can, goggles and some dragon dung fertiliser. You should have with you, your wand, dragon hide gloves. Though, should you have forgotten your most essential item, gloves, there are some in the stores cupboard you may ask to borrow.

"Once you're done, you may be dismissed."
